IPDAOLR Chapter 25

IPDAOLR Chapter 25

Half of the classroom was already empty, and many people were gathered in the corridor, stretching their necks to look outside.

“Yujun, Yujun!” Bai Yujun felt a nudge on her shoulder from her friend. “Director Feng has been brought out. Do you want to go take a look?”

Bai Yujun didn’t react at all.

“Yujun?” The girl called out again, and only then did Bai Yujun snap out.

“What’s wrong with you?” Ever since seeing the video of Feng Zhi attempting to forcibly mark an omega, Bai Yujun had been completely distracted.

“I’m fine.” Bai Yujun shook her head, took the girl’s hand, and smiled. “The omega…that omega is okay, right?”

The girl replied, “Of course they’re okay! Want to go out and take a look?”

The isolation classroom was on the third floor, connected to the main school building by a long corridor.

When Feng Zhi was brought out, the corridor and staircase were packed with people.

Ding Jianhui and several other police officers were also brought out together.

As soon as Feng Zhi appeared, the already noisy corridor erupted into even louder discussion, like a massive wave crashing, every word hitting Feng Zhi’s ears without missing a beat.

“Is it really Director Feng?”

“He was escorted out. So that video was actually real?”

“No way, Director Feng forcibly marked an omega?”

“How could Director Feng possibly do something like this?”

“He’s been escorted out. Is there any other explanation?”

Feng Zhi kept his head lowered the entire way.

He kept telling himself to stay calm in his mind.

It’s alright.

He was just taken away. Without evidence, no one could do anything to him.

Even if he was under investigation, he could apply for bail. No matter the amount, as long as he could get out. As long as he’s out, nothing would happen to him.

No omega would dare to sue him. If this went to the court, it would definitely be covered by the media, and everyone would know. No omega would have the courage to bear the scrutiny of society.

At most, he would only have to face accountability for the charge of invading the omega student’s privacy.

It’s not a big deal. With a bit of money, he would be out in no time.

Feng Zhi mentally prepared nomurous excuses for the future, thinking of countless ways to back out. The more he thought, the more confident he became.

The situation was still under his control!

At that moment, Feng Zhi didn’t realize that when a person started thinking about ways out and excuses, that’s when they’ve truly lost control.

More and more people flooded into the corridor. With over thirty classes of seniors, the place was packed. Amid the discussions, Feng Zhi heard a ‘click’ sound beside his ears.

Someone was taking pictures!

Feng Zhi suddenly lifted his head.

His students, the ones who usually respectfully called him ‘Director Feng,’ greeted him, and the ones who would quiet down when he was inspecting discipline, were now all holding up their phones, shoving the cameras into his face one by one.

Then, someone said, “So disgusting.”

“Yeah, I never thought Director Feng could be this kind of a person.”

Feng Zhi turned around.

The voices belonged to two other omegas from the senior class.

It was imposible for him to not recognize these two. He had detailed information on every omega in the senior class saved in his computer.

The two omegas were girls, holding hands tightly as they stared at him, their brows furrowed and faces filled with disgust.

They were talking.

“I’m about to throw up.”

“No wonder he’s been so nice to us. So, this is what he’s really been thinking?”

“How does he even deserve to be an alpha?”

“How many people has he ruined, how many omegas has he destroyed? He doesn’t deserve to be a human.”

These two omegas had long been throughly investigated by Feng Zhi. They were soft-spoken, gentle girls, yet now, they were looking at him with the same gaze one would reserve for trash.

They were supposed to be obedient, supposed to be marked by him, saved by him, and become his trophies.

Now, they were holding up their phones, recording the humiliating scene of him being escorted–just like he had once recorded every omega he marked.

“Is your omega group still around?” The omega on the left asked.

The other person replied, “Yes.”

The omega lowered her head. “Send this video to the group. Let them be cautious of this pervert. It’s really disgusting.”

Disgusting, pervert, doesn’t deserve to be a human.

Feng Zhi could no longer remain calm–

He hated being talked about like this more than anything!

They were just omegas! What right did they have to say such things to him? What right did they have to look at him with those eyes, and that expressions?!

No! They didn’t have any right at al!

They were just omegas!! Just those who have estrus, the humble omegas who begged him to mark them!!

Feng Zhi rushed toward the two omega girls without thinking. The girl screamed and quickly retreated. Feng Zhi missed, and before he could get up, he was grabbed by the police. His hands were twisted behind his back, pinned tightly, rendering him unable to move.

He struggled nonstop, trying to move forward. Behind him, the police handcuffed him, suspecting him of violent behavior.

The cold metal of the handcuffs pressed against his wrists, and Feng Zhi’s reason was completely shattered by his anger. He glared fiercely at the omegas, spitting out harsh words, “You’re just omegas!! What do you think you are?! Just omegas? You–mmph…mhm!!” The police quickly gagged him with a special device, increasing their pace as they forcibly pushed him into the police car.

The siren wailed loudly.

Feng Zhi was taken away.

Ding Jianhui let out a soft sigh, adjusted his expression, then turned to gathered student and said, “Everyone, disperse and head back to your classroom. For the sake of our school’s omega students, I hope you can refrain from posting about today’s incident online or spreading it for now. Once the investigation is complete, the school will provide an explanation to everyone, especially to the omegas.”

Under the urging of their homeroom teacher, the students gradually dispersed. Only Bai Yujun remained standing in place, staring blankly in the direction of the school gate, her eyes unfocused.

“Isn’t it just an omega? Aren’t you all just omegas? …”

Feng Zhi’s words echoed repeatedly in her mind.

Again and again, until the voice gradually morphed into that of another man.

“You have to remember, you’re just an omega, and…nothing more!”

Full of disdain and contempt.

“Yujun, shall we head back too?” The girl beside Bai Yujun asked.

“Mhm, okay.” Bai Yujun lifted her foot and walked toward the classroom.

After just a few steps, she suddenly stopped.

The gurl turned around, and Bai Yujun lowered her head, her hair falling, obscuring her face.

This appearance was really strange. The girl was about to ask, “What’s wrong? Are you feeing unwell?”

But just then, Bai Yujun suddenly crouched down, covering her lips, her shoulders trembling–

She was crying.

As for the incident with Feng Zhi, it was Tang Anmiao who was called to be questioned. Qiu Bian’s emotions had not fully calmed down yet, so Ding Jianhui first notified the parents to take him home.

Jiang Zhihuo and Yan Mu hadn’t been called away yet. For this incident, they were actually considered outsiders. If they were to be questioned, it would likely be about the matter of invading the school’s internal network. However, with the commotion today, the school probably wouldn’t have time to deal with the two of them. Just the bruise on Tang Anmiao’s neck would be enough to question for an entire day.

Before leaving the isolation classroom, Jiang Zhihuo handed the USB drive containing Feng Zhi’s computer files to Tang Anmiao. Their collaboration had been seamless these past few days. The young girl had a great sense of the bigger picture–she wouldn’t ask unnecessary questions or say too much. From here on, Jiang Zhihuo and Yan Mu could no longer intervene. Passing the USB drive to Tang Anmiao, the person involved, would make it more useful.

When they reached the wall, Jiang Zhihuo stopped.

This was a blind spot in the surveillance camera of the school.

Jiang Zhihuo grasped the railing of the wall, gave it a strong tug, then used his arms to propel himself over the wall with ease.

Through the railing, Jiang Zhihuo said to Yan Mu, “I’m leaving first. I have a shift later, but I’ll come find you in two hours.”

Anyway, Yan Mu already knew about his part-time job at the bar, so there was nothing to hide.

Just as he finished speaking, Jiang Zhihuo suddenly felt the sunlight above him being blocked by a shadow.

He saw Yan Mu also gripping the railing, using the gap in the wall to push off, effortlessly flipping over the wall.

Jiang Zhihuo stood frozen for two seconds. “Friend, you’re so skilled at this?”

“The wall is not that high.” Yan Mu took off his gloves and tossed them into the trash can.

Jiang Zhihuo: “You skip class too?”

Yan Mu showed no sign of the guilt a top student should have. With a calm expression, he said, “I’m tired. Going back to rest.”

It had been a tiring day, so Jiang Zhihuo didn’t ask any further. He simply responded with an ‘Oh,’ and said, “Then you go ahead, I’ll go buy a milk tea for Yujun.”

According to Zong Bei, Bai Yujun had cried for some reason earlier. Zong Bei spectulated that it was likely because she had seen Feng Zhi being dragged away. Girls were sensitive, and she must have been frightened by the scene.

As her admirer, Jiang Zhihuo wasn’t there at the scene to offer comfort. After the fact, at least he could buy her something to eat and try to soothe her.

Yan Mu, however, said, “I already bought it.”

Jiang Zhihuo was still thinking about which place to buy from and casually replied, “If you bought it, then you bought it. Not my problem.”

Yan Mu walked ahead, not looking sideways. “I also brought some for Yujun.”

“……” Jiang Zhihuo was surprised. “What? Huh? What’s going on here?”

Yan Mu said nothing.

Soon enough, Zong Bei indeed sent a few messages to Jiang Zhihuo.

Zong Bei: one good news, one bad news.

Zong Bei: The good news is that the milk tea you sent has been received, and the school beauty looks very happy!

Zong Bei: The bad news is that the god of learning also had someone deliver it!

Jiang Zhihuo: “……”

Jiang Zhihuo jumped in front of Yan Mu, blocking his way. “I can understand if you didn’t want me to buy it–you’re my love rival, after all. But why did you deliver it for me? What are you trying to do?! What’s your motive?”

Yan Mu lowered his gaze, not answering. He simply said, “…You’re annoying.”

Jiang Zhihuo: “Annoying? Of course I’m annoying! I’m so annoyed, did you only just meet me yesterday?”

Yan Mu silently looked at him, his eyes as dark and calm as a pool of still water.

Jiang Zhihuo paused for a moment, slightly stunned.

–That gaze was identical to the one Yan Mu had shown when he handed over the investigation report to him in the empty classroom.

After a moment, Yan Mu said, “Yes.”

Jiang Zhihuo: “……”

The meaning in his gaze was clear. Jiang Zhihuo didn’t want to steer the conversation in that direction, so he took the initiative to step aside, both hands behind his head. “Fine, you bought it, then you bought it. Don’t think I’ll thank you.” The two of them lived together and were naturally heading in the same direction. On the way, Jiang Zhihuo detoured into a convenience store to buy a few packs of sterilized milk.

After settling the bill, he found that Yan Mu was actually waiting for him at the door.

Jiang Zhihuo asked, “Aren’t you going back?”

Yan Mu said, “I am.”

Although Yan Mu said he was heading back, Jiang Zhihuo purposely took a few twists and turns, and to his surprise, Yan Mu still followed him, walking with an air of “I’m just heading to my place.” In the end, Jiang Zhihuo grew too lazy to care and stopped taking detours. He simply headed straight to the park near their neighborhood.

It was still daytime, and the temperature was scorching. There weren’t many people in the park. Jiang Zhihuo walked to a tree, took a bag of cat food and a plastic bowl from his bag, and poured the food into the bowl.

Not long after, the grass in the distance rustled, and a few fluffy heads popped out from the outside.

It was a mother cat, along with a few kittens around one or two months old, running toward Jiang Zhihuo with their short little legs.

The mother cat was a tabby, very thin. She rubbed against Jiang Zhihuo’s feet before leading her kittens to start eating the cat food in the bowl.

Jiang Zhihuo crouched down beside them.

The kittens were eating happily, so he added more cat food to the bowl.

One of the cats, with a small appetite, probably full, began pawing at Jiang Zhihuo’s leg. Jiang Zhihuo sat crossed legged on the grass, took out a cat toy from his bag, and played with the kitten for a while. When he turned around, he saw that Yan Mu was still behind him, sitting on a stone step beside him.

Jiang Zhihuo exclaimed in frustration, “Didn’t you say you were tired and needed to rest? Why are you still following me?”

The kitten also let out a soft ‘meow’ at Yan Mu.

A breeze passed by, and the shadows of the trees swayed, breaking the dim sunlight into fragments that scattered across the ground.

Yan Mu looked at Jiang Zhihuo, and the sunlight sank into his calm yet profound eyes.

Yan Mu bent one leg, didn’t respond directly, and only said softly, “The last few pages of the character profile, I’ve put them away.”

The author has something to say:

Haha, Feng Zhi was just taken away, but it’s not over yet.
