SDVPP Chapter 65

Deliberate

When Chi Han came out of the shower, Rong Xu was sitting on the small sofa with his eyes closed, resting.

The dim, warm light cast over him, wrapping him in a soft glow.

His pale lips were gently pressed together, and the sharpness that usually lingered at the ends of his narrow eyes was now completely softened.

Chi Han paused mid-motion while towel-drying his hair, unconsciously staring at Rong Xu.

No matter how many times he looked, he couldn’t help but be amazed. How could someone this perfect exist in the world?

Especially now, compared to a year ago, all traces of youthful gloom and awkwardness had faded away.

As if sensing something, Rong Xu slowly opened his eyes. The moment he looked up, he saw Chi Han standing at the bathroom door.

It was a motion carved into his very bones—perhaps even he didn’t notice it himself—but the instant he saw Chi Han, his eyes curved into a smile, a soft light flickering in their depths.

That expression was one no one else would ever see.

“Come here.”

Rong Xu reached out his hand, his smile light and gentle.

Even now, Chi Han still felt as if it were all a bit unreal.

He took Rong Xu’s hand and sat down on the small sofa.

The sofa in the room was a single-seater. To be honest, it wasn’t very comfortable for two grown men to squeeze onto it, but Rong Xu liked this kind of closeness. Their skin pressed together, warm and slightly hot to the touch, as if a current of electricity was passing through.

“Give me the towel.”

Rong Xu took the towel, lowered his eyes, and carefully wiped the beads of water from Chi Han’s hair.

Chi Han’s posture, bending over with his head lowered, was really uncomfortable. Since it was a low-legged sofa and the floor was covered with a clean, soft rug anyway, he poked Rong Xu’s thigh, signaling for him to spread his legs. Then he plopped down onto the floor and rested his head on Rong Xu’s right leg.

Rong Xu stiffened instantly, freezing in place as he looked down at the person now nestled between his legs.

“Why’d you stop drying?”

Chi Han nudged Rong Xu’s hand with the top of his head, a bit puzzled, completely unaware of the current position they were in.

Rong Xu took a deep breath, feeling that every point where their bodies touched was burning hot, so hot it seemed to be spreading downward into places he dared not speak of.

He closed his eyes, forcefully pushing down all the suggestive thoughts that had just surged up.

He couldn’t rush it.

He didn’t want to scare Chi Han.

When it came to Chi Han, he had patience hundreds of times greater than the average person.

It was fine. There was still plenty of time ahead.

The corners of Rong Xu’s lips gently curled inward, his eyes full of a tenderness and indulgence reserved only for Chi Han.

He wanted Chi Han to be with him, not out of pressure or hesitation, but willingly, wholeheartedly.

Chi Han was starting to grow drowsy under Rong Xu’s careful drying, like a cat being stroked the right way, quietly curled up on his lap.

The scene he had dreamed of countless times… had come true, just like that, catching him completely off guard.

Chi Han half-closed his eyes, and an involuntary smile appeared on his face. Just looking at him like that made people feel joyful.

Rong Xu’s fingertips moved through his jet-black hair, finally stopping at the back of his neck to gently pinch twice:

“What are you sneaking a smile about? So sweet.”

Chi Han comfortably rubbed his cheeks twice, turning his head toward Rong Xu.

Before, he had always looked down on Rong Xu, rarely looking up at him.

Until now, Chi Han had seen so clearly that trace of unfading tenderness in the other’s eyes for the first time.

Just by looking at it, one could fall deeply.

“Nothing. It’s just that I can’t believe your leg is healed. I still feel like I’m dreaming.”

Rong Xu’s hand paused slightly, putting the towel aside, then bent down and slipped both hands through Chi Han’s knees. With one effort, he lifted him.

That’s right, lifted him.

Chi Han: “???”

He weighed over a hundred jin[mfn]about 110 pounds[/mfn]. Could he get some respect for his weight?

Rong Xu changed his posture, supporting his butt with one hand and wrapping his waist with the other, lowering his head with a light laugh: “Any more problems now?”

Chi Han: “…”

He seemed to hear a hint of provocation beneath the words.

Chi Han got fired up, legs clamping around Rong Xu’s waist, arms wrapping around his neck, and raised his voice: “If you have the guts, don’t put me down all night!”

Rong Xu patted his buttocks, smiling gracefully:

“Absolutely delighted.”

In the end…

Of course, in the end, Chi Han admitted defeat.

He had attended classes all day, and after eating, he was so sleepy he just wanted to go to bed early.

Rong Xu didn’t tease him anymore. Wrapping both of them in the quilt, he turned off the small bedside lamp.

As the light went out, the room instantly plunged into darkness.

Originally, Rong Xu detested this kind of environment, but he could only take root in this darkness.

But now, he reached out, pulling the other into his embrace with a sigh, feeling completely satisfied all over.

Chi Han’s back pressed tightly against his warm chest, their legs closely intertwined.

In this posture, he not only didn’t feel uncomfortable, but even felt very reassured.

Sleepiness washed over them. Soon, steady breathing filled the room.

Rong Xu opened his eyes; though he could see nothing, the scent and warmth of the person in his arms made his soul tremble profoundly.

He slowly leaned forward, pressing a kiss on the back of Chi Han’s neck with utmost reverence.

Mine.

Rong Xu rested his forehead against Chi Han’s shoulder, like a weary bird finding its refuge.

After a year of trials and tribulations, his heart finally settled once again.

……

The biological alarm clock triggered, and at six in the morning, Chi Han opened his eyes promptly.

Seeing the unfamiliar ceiling, Chi Han was still a bit confused.

It wasn’t until he turned and saw Rong Xu sleeping peacefully that the memories of the previous day came rushing back like flowing water.

So, Rong Xu really could stand up now.

Chi Han carefully traced Rong Xu’s appearance with his eyes.

He was still a bit thin, but his complexion had improved a lot. He was no longer so pale as to evoke pity.

As he kept looking, Chi Han’s thoughts began to wander.

Rong Xu’s pale, delicate lips were slightly pursed, his thick, black eyelashes trembling slightly with each breath. Chi Han reached out carefully to lightly touch the other’s high, straight nose, then instinctively held his breath.

Rong Xu’s entire body was exquisitely beautiful, especially when asleep—simply tempting one to sin.

Chi Han forced his gaze away from his face and looked down at the left hand resting on the pillow.

Only then did he realize he seemed to have an invisible hand fetish.

The slender, long fingers with distinct knuckles were now slightly curled.

Chi Han stared for a while, then cautiously placed his own hand over it, palm against palm.

He had never thought holding hands was such a heart-stirring gesture before, but now…

He couldn’t help but blush at his ear tips.

Their fingers slowly intertwined. Using the side of his finger, Chi Han gently brushed against the other’s fingers, taking full advantage while Rong Xu slept.

Who in this world could have such an opportunity?

Chi Han curled the corner of his mouth, trying hard to hold back laughter.

He was afraid he would laugh out loud from happiness.

Just as he was about to pull his hand away, the hand that had been motionless suddenly curled, and their hands tightly intertwined.

Chi Han: “!”

Rong Xu opened his dark eyes, and an indescribable emotion pressed deep within them. His voice was hoarse as he said, “Chi Han, what are you doing?”

Chi Han’s face instantly flushed red. He opened his mouth but couldn’t say a single word.

They had held hands before while joking around.

But the current situation was no longer something that could be brushed off as a joke.

Yet he didn’t want to test the waters again with those lame excuses.

They had already been apart long enough.

“I…” Chi Han’s palm broke out in a thin layer of sweat; his fingertips felt cold, but his heart pounded like a drum.

Words unsaid a year ago now crowded crazily at his throat. With just a little loosening, they could gush out.

“I did it on purpose!”

Rong Xu’s black eyes locked onto Chi Han’s tightly. He propped himself up and moved closer. Their intertwined palms were already soaked with sweat, making it impossible to tell who was more nervous.

Being looked at with such a gaze, Chi Han felt as if all the air in his lungs was being squeezed dry.

His chin trembled unconsciously—a physiological reaction from extreme nervousness.

“I did it on purpose.”

Repeating the sentence over and over, Chi Han swallowed his saliva with difficulty, the corners of his eyes turning red from holding back.

Rong Xu raised his hand and brushed away that flush of red, finally resting it at the back of Chi Han’s head.

He suddenly smiled, like the melting of ancient snow on a high mountain.

“Then, I did it on purpose, too.”

Rong Xu bent down, lowered his eyes, and kissed him.

Chi Han lay there stunned, seeing in those eyes, so close, a flood of long-suppressed emotions.

It was Rong Xu’s deeply hidden admiration.
