IMAO Chapter 132.1

No One Dares to Touch You

“I’m really not lying to you. Even if you contact the police, it won’t help. They won’t help you find anyone. Instead, you’ll just put yourselves in danger too,” Richard remained silent for a few seconds before speaking again. “Why not let me go now? I can pretend I don’t know anything. At worst, I’ll split the money I received with you. Even half would be enough for you to spend for many years! Since you can’t get the person back anyway, why not take the money and go home? Don’t you think I’m right?”

Aimé subconsciously swallowed upon hearing Richard’s words, shrinking to the side. His gaze fell on the man who had nearly strangled him earlier. The handsome man’s eyes flashed coldly, and in the next moment, he grabbed Richard’s head with both hands and pushed down while driving his knee up into Richard’s throat. With a muffled grunt, Richard immediately passed out.

He deserved it. He’d already been warned that these people weren’t saints. After all, they nearly broke his neck just moments ago. To still provoke them in this situation, he clearly had no idea what death meant!

So what if those people had nobles backing them? Even if they couldn’t touch the nobles, couldn’t they still deal with small fry like them who fell into their hands?

Idiot.

“BOOM.”

A loud crash as something heavy hit the ground.

“Police! I need to report a crime! H-he almost strangled me to death!” Seeing the police, Aimé felt like he finally had someone to rely on. Richard had provoked them, and now his face was a bloody mess without a single intact spot. The whole way here, Aimé had been terribly worried these two would just kill him to silence him.

O’Carl glanced at the two men on the ground. He recognized one of them, the young man he’d seen at the hotel earlier. Looking at the marks on Aimé’s neck that he was pointing to, O’Carl knew the man on the ground wasn’t lying.

Even if this guy had died, as a police officer, he wouldn’t have felt sorry about it. After all, judging from what this guy had said earlier, he was definitely involved with that missing Omega.

Such deep bruising and strangulation marks could definitely kill someone. But he thought to himself: fortunately, no one died, otherwise these young men looking for their brother would be in trouble.

“Do you know what you’re doing? It’s lucky he’s not dead,” O’Carl frowned and said sternly. “Don’t be so reckless in the future. I know you did this because you’re worried about your family, but think before you act. If you’d used just a bit more force, he would be dead. Do you really want to pay with your lives for trash like this?”

Hearing the police officer’s casual dismissal, Aimé hurriedly said, “Officer, they nearly strangled me to death! I- I want to report this crime, file a case!”

“File a case?” O’Carl said, “Sure, show me the evidence and I’ll help you file it.”

“Evidence? The injuries on my neck are evidence!” Aimé said urgently.

“How can that count as evidence? It only shows someone choked you, but it can’t prove it was him who did it,” O’Carl said, glancing at the silent young man beside them.

“My neck has his fingerprints!”

O’Carl: “Those fingerprints could have been left while trying to save you.”

Aimé: “???”

O’Carl rolled his eyes. Even if these two young men didn’t have evidence of his gambling while on duty, he still wouldn’t bother showing any courtesy to this guy in front of him.

A human trafficker.

Just looking at him made him sick.

O’Carl called two robot police officers to take the two men to the interrogation room. After learning Richard’s identity from Jiang Yuan and Ji Rong, he waited a while before beginning the interrogation through the voice system outside the room.

“Name.”

“Richard Alikar.”

“Age.”

“39.”

“Gender.”

“Alpha male.”

“…”

“Officer, there’s really no need to keep questioning me. Even if I tell you, you wouldn’t dare to make any arrests anyway. It’s just a waste of time,” Richard said flatly.

O’Carl raised his eyebrows in displeasure, “Cut the nonsense. So what if they’re nobles? Everyone must follow the law!”

“Tch—” Richard spat out blood.

“Tell me, where is this docking station you mentioned?” O’Carl asked gravely.

Richard: “I don’t know.”

“Weren’t you just saying that even if you told me, I wouldn’t dare make arrests? Why so hesitant to speak now?” O’Carl didn’t rush when he heard Richard’s words, instead letting out a sneer before asking.

“You’re trying to provoke me,” Richard sneered in the interrogation room. “Since you’re all so eager to die, I might as well tell you. You’ll come crawling back soon enough.”

“I’d love to see which noble you claim is so powerful that they could make our police force crawl back!” O’Carl said, containing his anger. Despite his demeanor, he had his pride. Previous missing persons cases may have gone cold, but now that they had a lead, he would investigate even if nobles were involved!

“Fine, give me my communicator. I’ll send you the location.”

After getting his communicator, Richard quickly sent the location to O’Carl, then said, “I can’t wait to see if you’ll wet yourself when you get there.”

Charles tried to smirk as he raised his communicator, but as soon as he moved his lips, he sucked in a sharp breath from the pain.

Damn it, those two little bastards actually dared to hit him!

Just wait and see how you die!

The noble he spoke of wasn’t just any ordinary noble… If he hadn’t arrived at that spaceport himself, he wouldn’t have believed that such a powerful noble family would have a private port on a small planet like Longluo.

Other police officers at the station who knew O’Carl had brought someone in for interrogation all came over. Hearing Richard’s arrogant words from the interrogation room, they sneered with disdain, “Hah, what’s so special about nobles? We arrested one last year!”

“That noble is still rotting in prison! Think being a noble makes you all that?”

“O’Carl, we’re coming too! Let’s see just who this noble is that this guy keeps bragging about!”

“Yeah! Let’s check it out!”

At this time, Longluo Star was completely silent. Sunlight spilled across the ground, and waves rolled one after another onto the beach. The seaside was empty, with only the peaceful sound of waves.

The car passed by the beach, following the location sent by the arrested man, slowly driving into an even more secluded road.

“Damn, I can’t believe there’s even a road here. It’s not shown on the navigation at all.”

“Must be private property. Some nobles like to keep mysterious, their homes are usually like this, hidden in quiet places.”

“Speaking of which, what kind of fallen noble would need to rely on human trafficking to make money?”

Someone chuckled softly. As the car drove closer, they finally saw a huge iron gate at the end of a tree-lined path. Two mechanical guards stood at the entrance, hands behind their backs, legs spread about a step apart, staring straight ahead.

“That’s quite a large gate…” one of the officers muttered. “They even use mechanical guards?”

Different from what they expected, the gate was almost ridiculously large, suggesting this wasn’t some small fallen noble family. O’Carl couldn’t help but frown, but he remained composed. So what if they were nobles involved in human trafficking? Once this gets exposed online, even nobles would have to bow their heads!

As O’Carl was giving himself a mental pep talk and thinking about how to negotiate, a hover car approached from behind. A man sat inside, talking to someone. The back seats had tinted windows, making it impossible to see inside.

After a brief check, the two mechanical guards let the man pass.

The guards at the gate walked toward them.

Knock knock knock.

Metal hands tapped on the door as the two mechanical guards spoke in cold, emotionless mechanical voices, “This is private property. Please leave immediately.”

Metal emblems were carved on the guards’ chests, showing their affiliation. As O’Carl lowered the window, he clearly saw the family crest on the mechanical guards’ chests. His pupils dilated, and his mind went blank the next second.

They would die.

They would really die!

Beads of sweat formed on O’Carl’s forehead. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he quickly said, “We’re leaving right now.”

His hands trembled uncontrollably, his voice shaking as he gave the order.

“Then please hurry.” The two mechanical guards stepped back, making space.

The hover car quickly rose and sped away.

“O’Carl, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? You’re so pale,” one of the officers who had come to watch asked with a strange look. “Weren’t we here to find someone? Why are we leaving just like that?”

After the hover car had traveled some distance, O’Carl finally snapped out of his fear, his clothes soaked with sweat.

“I- I just saw the family crest on those mechanical guards…” O’Carl’s voice trembled. He believed if he had insisted on searching the place, those mechanical guards would have shot them dead on the spot. That arrogant trafficker was right. Even if they’d come, they’d have had to retreat with their tails between their legs.

No wonder that guy dared to be so arrogant and said that people who had found him before had disappeared shortly after!

That kind of behemoth, they couldn’t touch them at all.

Even if they leaked this to the media, no media would dare broadcast it!

“A noble family crest? Which one?” someone asked.

“It’s… it’s…”
