IMAO Chapter 139.1

He Chuan x Lucy

His head was throbbing with pain.

In the darkness, He Chuan slowly opened his eyes, finding himself bound and tied against the wall.

His brain was searing with pain as he recalled what had happened earlier. He’d been attacked while tailing Milo.

He had received intel from Jiang Yuan confirming that Lucy was the buyer of his student Milo. After informing Milo’s family, he tried to contact this arms dealer to have Milo sent back to the Federation. But that damn irritating bastard completely ignored him, not seeing him as worth any attention at all.

However, this mysterious arms dealer was exactly that – mysterious. Only a handful of people had ever seen him. Unable to find the man himself, He Chuan could only search for the missing Milo based on intelligence gathered after busting the human trafficking ring.

He had encountered Milo several times, but clearly Milo’s memories had been wiped. He didn’t recognize He Chuan as his instructor at all.

He told Milo about his identity, but Milo did not believe him at all and refused to leave North Mali with him. Although this arms dealer only had Milo working as a bodyguard after purchasing him, working as a bodyguard for someone like that meant risking death at any moment. As Milo’s instructor, He Chuan was determined to take him back!

Moreover, the arms dealer Lucy was completely insane.

These past few days, He Chuan had clearly felt the changes in North Mali. The former civilian district had been completely demolished, and the whole country was flourishing. You couldn’t tell at all that just half a year ago, this place had been through a war.

The North Mali rebels… no, they were the government army now.

He had always wondered where the government forces got the money to buy weapons. After investigating during this period, he discovered all the weapons came from this arms dealer. Part of the funding came from their piracy when they were still rebels, while another part was provided by this arms dealer, who even borrowed weapons from other arms dealers and countries on behalf of the North Mali government.

Of course it wasn’t free. Although he didn’t know exactly what deal they had struck, only a madman would do something like this!

And madmen were often terrifying.

But none of this was what he should be thinking about right now…

Although he hadn’t seen anyone yet, He Chuan was certain that his attackers were that arms dealer’s men. His end probably wouldn’t be pretty.

***

Time ticked by second by second. Suddenly, he heard footsteps.

Creak.

The door was pushed open from outside.

Here they come?

He Chuan’s eyes turned cold.

But the person who opened the door was different from what he expected. They seemed unwell, stumbling as they walked toward him. When they reached him, they collapsed right onto him. In the moonlight streaming through the window, He Chuan finally saw the person’s face clearly.

They looked a few years older than him, but unlike his tanned skin, the man had fair, clean features that were delicate and handsome.

“Are… are you okay?” Seeing the man’s condition, He Chuan couldn’t help feeling concerned and asked worriedly.

Hearing his question and seeing someone there, the man seemed to pause for a moment. “Someone drugged me…”

It was only when the man got closer that He Chuan noticed a faint scent in the air, a pleasant one. His expression darkened as he asked, “You’re an Omega?”

Instead of answering, the man leaned against the wall, staring at him for a moment as if considering something. Suddenly, he moved forward, pressing his hot, damp lips against He Chuan’s, making He Chuan’s mind go blank. The man pushed past his teeth, claiming his mouth thoroughly. When they separated, a strand of saliva still connected them.

The man lifted his clothes, and unlike his delicate face, his body was incredibly well-built, covered in lean muscle with fluid lines. Due to the drug’s effects, his skin was coated in a light sheen of sweat…

While He Chuan was still in shock, the man directly sat down on his lap.

***

The next day.

The room was in complete disarray, the scent of pheromones still lingering in the air.

He Chuan held the man in his arms and touched his cheek lightly. The man woke up immediately.

Thinking about how the man had helped untie the ropes binding him last night, and what he’d done afterward, He Chuan felt somewhat embarrassed. He didn’t even know the other’s name before sleeping with him. “Are you okay?”

Lucy blanked for a moment before remembering last night’s events. He looked at the young man before him through half-lidded eyes.

Lucy got up and silently started getting dressed. Right now, he just wanted to get his gun and shoot the guy who had his way with him last night, even if he had been the one to initiate it.

But while Lucy was looking for his gun, suddenly someone pressed against him from behind, stroking his nape. His whole body shuddered as he tried to push the person away.

“I’m sorry, but I’ll take responsibility!” He Chuan said with a red face, his gaze falling on the gland he had bitten countless times.

Just as he was about to ask the man more questions, he suddenly heard footsteps from outside. Lucy’s men were coming. He hurriedly threw on his clothes, hugged the man one more time, and said, “I’ll come rescue you!”

With that, he flipped over and jumped straight out the third-floor window.

Just then, a bald man knocked on the door. “Boss, are you in there?”

“Come in,” Lucy said flatly.

“Boss, you suddenly left the banquet yesterday, I was worried…”

“I’m tired. We’ll discuss everything later.”

The bald man immediately shut up, but then noticed the discarded ropes in the room. He suddenly remembered that the person they’d caught yesterday had been locked in this room. Although the person was now gone, seeing his boss’s exhausted face, he kept quiet, assuming the other underlings had already dealt with that guy who had probably vanished from this world.

In the bathroom, steam filled the air.

Lucy showered for a long time. He didn’t immediately order his men to capture the intruder because he didn’t want to expose his Omega identity, but that damn Alpha seemed to have misunderstood something.

***

That night.

Exhausted, Lucy had slept heavily all day. When he opened his eyes, he found a handsome face very close to his.

“You dare come back?”

It was none other than He Chuan, who had run away that morning.

“I was worried about you… After I ran, they didn’t do anything to you, did they?”

Lucy: “…”

Seeing Lucy’s silence, He Chuan thought he might have been hurt because of him. He immediately pulled Lucy close to examine him, but after looking him over, he only found the love marks he’d left the previous night. Relieved that Lucy wasn’t hurt because of him, he explained why he ran away earlier that day, “I’m sorry I had to leave you behind today.”

“You saw my situation yesterday. I was brought here as a captive. If I hadn’t run, they would have killed me.”

Lucy was silent for two seconds, then nodded. That was true. If this guy hadn’t been afraid, he would indeed have shot him dead.

Seeing Lucy’s continued silence, He Chuan thought he was scared and immediately comforted him. “Don’t be afraid, I’m not a bad person. I’m a soldier from the Federation.”

Federation?

Lucy’s brows furrowed slightly. Since the Federation didn’t sell weapons internationally, he had limited contact with Federation people. Why would the Federation government send someone to watch him?

“I’m He Chuan. What’s your name?” He Chuan asked with a gentle smile.

“Nolan,” Lucy made up a name, deciding not to kill this guy for now. He needed to figure out why the Federation was keeping tabs on him.

“What a beautiful name!” He Chuan said with a bright smile.

By the time He Chuan left, dawn was breaking.

Lying in bed, Lucy watched with complex emotions as the man, who had stolen a quick kiss before jumping out the window, disappeared.

Following He Chuan’s questions, Lucy made up a new identity for himself.

Nolan, a kept man threatened by a ruthless arms dealer, wanting to leave but not daring to because his family was in Lucy’s hands.

At the same time, he also found out why He Chuan was watching him.

***

Because he made plans with He Chuan, Lucy headed straight home after handling his business. At midnight, someone climbed through the window into his room as promised.

“You came,” Lucy said softly, feeling the man climb into bed behind him and pull him into an embrace. “Did your student agree to go with you?”

“He still doesn’t believe me. I’m considering just kidnapping him and taking him back. Maybe he’ll believe once he sees his family,” He Chuan said in a low voice. “And… Nolan, I don’t want you to stay here anymore. It hurts me.”

“Come with me. Come to the Federation with me. He’ll never be able to hurt you again.”

Hearing the low whisper behind him, Lucy stayed silent for a long while before saying, “I can’t leave with you. My family is still in his hands.”

“Tell me where they are. I’ll rescue them, and we can all leave together!” He Chuan pulled him even closer. This was really torture. Just thinking about Nolan being pinned down by that damn arms dealer made him want to kill someone.

Lucy turned to his side, reaching up to caress He Chuan’s cheek. If he had shot this man dead back then, he wouldn’t be feeling this emptiness at the thought of losing him now. Not wanting to hear He Chuan’s plans, Lucy silenced him with a kiss.
