“Will he remember me? That time he told me to lower my eyes with that angelic face… He probably won’t remember, will he?”
As soon as school ended, Noeul rushed to the meeting place. There was still an hour left before the scheduled time, but the wait didn’t feel tedious at all. He looked around at every sound of footsteps passing by, perked up his ears whenever he heard a similar voice, and even glanced curiously at anyone with a back of the head that vaguely resembled his. In these ordinary-looking people, he kept seeing glimpses of ‘Meowie.’
When he finally got off the phone and looked around, Meowie was there. He seemed to be the only one moving amid the crowd of still people. As Noeul approached, he stiffly lifted his head.
“Meowie-nim.”
“……”
Kim Kyungsoo. That’s what it said on the blue name tag. He was wearing the uniform of a nearby high school. The uniform suited him so well, so neat and perfect… His dark eyes that stared directly at me trembled slightly. As he tried to back away in surprise, Noeul asked again.
“Meowie?”
Hello, are you perhaps MeowieMeowMeow? He meant to say it, but his nerves got the better of him, and it came out much too shortened. At that, Kyungsoo’s ears turned bright red. Before Noeul could ask why, a fist came his way instead of an answer.
Rubbing his jaw after being caught off guard, Noeul blinked as he watched Meowie walk away without even looking back. He learned that day that calling Meowie by his nickname in real life made him very embarrassed.
From that day on, Noeul began to get more entangled with Meowie. Or rather, Kyungsoo. He was a bit surprised on the day he found himself suddenly part of Poseidon, but he quickly adapted. In the guild, the leader was busy campaigning to impeach him for double-guilding with Melody, excitedly claiming it was a betrayal.
Kyungsoo, though annoyed by Noeul, couldn’t just dismiss him easily due to his personality, and Noeul took advantage of this aspect of him. Also, Kyungsoo was as competitive as—if not more so than—Noeul. By provoking his competitive spirit, Noeul could quickly get what he wanted. But something still felt lacking. Even with everything he had, it didn’t feel like enough.
Ideally, I wish Kyungsoo would like me back too.
What he had now wasn’t enough to have him completely. The more he got of him, the greedier he became.
Taste is something, huh. The movie that Cheon Noeul picked was insanely boring. Unexpectedly for him, he chose a very family-friendly and peaceful movie, but sure enough, it was incredibly dull. The only memorable thing was that the supporting male actor’s eye color resembled Noeul’s. Each time the hazel-colored eyes appeared on screen, Kyungsoo glanced at Noeul, who, with an equally confused look, would return his gaze. When their eyes met, Noeul would scoff and ask what he was staring at. Instead of feeling down, Noeul only seemed pleased, his mouth twitching in amusement. He was impossible to figure out.
Between eating the delivered food, watching the movie, and answering Noeul’s questions, Kyungsoo eventually dozed off.
“Are you awake?”
Lying diagonally across the bed, Kyungsoo opened his eyes to find Noeul lying directly in front of him, smiling sweetly as if he would melt.
“…Did you sleep too?”
“I was admiring the view.”
Admiring? The movie had long ended.
“Admiring what?”
“I even took a picture so I can keep looking at it. It came out great. Want to see?”
With that, Noeul showed him his phone screen. It was filled with a photo of Kyungsoo asleep, his cheeks squished.
“Can I make this my wallpaper?”
“……”
Why on earth would he…? Kyungsoo squinted, disapproving. But trying to understand that bastard was a lost cause. He was a human, and Noeul was Cheon Noeul. It was best to say nothing.
Kyungsoo glanced at the digital clock on the desk. Quite a bit of time had passed.
“Oh, I must’ve nodded off…”
“You didn’t just nod off, you were completely asleep.”
“……”
No wonder I feel so refreshed… The sky outside the window had darkened. As he got up, Noeul looked at him wistfully and asked.
“Are you leaving already?”
“It’s already ten. By the way, where’s my phone? Did you hide it?”
“Why would I…”
Kyungsoo searched under the blanket but couldn’t find it. Noeul offered his phone and said, “Call it.”
“Oh, right.”
Kyungsoo typed in his number. With each digit, the suggested contacts changed, and when he finished typing, the saved name was strange.

Why does my name look like this? The nickname had been called less often lately, and he’d almost forgotten about it—until Noeul’s “thoughtful” reminder. He was so grateful, he could’ve clenched his fist.
“Noeul.”
“Yes?”
“You’ve lived long enough, haven’t you?”
“…What did I do wrong?”
Noeul still seemed clueless. Pointing at the ‘Cheon NoeulGG’ part of the screen, Kyungsoo saw Noeul tilt his head. Noeul picked up Kyungsoo’s phone from between the bed and the wall, showing him.
“You saved mine similarly.”
“……”

“But at least this spells ‘Cheon Noeul’! My name is barely even fucking recognizable! Change it to something normal.”
Noeul frowned, troubled. “Then you should change mine too. And put a heart next to it. Not an empty one—a full heart!”
“Are you insane? I’ll just replace it with a dot. Hand it over.”
“A dot? In that case, you’re not getting this.”
Noeul, unwilling to compromise on his name, hid Kyungsoo’s phone behind his back. After a back-and-forth, they finally agreed to store each other’s names simply without surnames. When he showed Noeul the saved name, “Noeul,” he finally seemed satisfied.
“Could you add a heart next to it…?”
“If I see it, you’re dead.”
“Then I just have to hide it from you.”
Despite saying he’d hide it, Noeul fiddled with his phone name tag in front of Kyungsoo’s eyes. Kyungsoo was too drained to argue any further. His throat felt raw from all the shouting.
“Make sure you post what you promised on the forum, with full details. That’s why I’m letting you live. Got it?”
“Yes…”
Noeul awkwardly lifted the corners of his mouth and handed Kyungsoo his baseball bat.
“I’m heading out. Don’t follow me; you’ll feel dizzy…”
“…Hyung!”
The loud shout startled him, and Kyungsoo turned around, clutching his chest.
“Gosh, you scared me.”
“When will we meet again…?”
“Why are you asking me?”
You only show up when it suits you anyway. Kyungsoo replied indifferently, and Noeul swallowed nervously before asking cautiously.
“You’re not going to block me, are you? Or say you never want to see me again?”
“……?”
“Please don’t.”
His eyes looked pitiful, like a puppy caught in the rain. Kyungsoo was dumbfounded by the sudden sadness.
“What are you talking about? You said one year, remember? You even wrote it all out in a contract or something. Don’t you remember?”
“Oh…?”
“You wrote down everything yourself and are now pretending to forget. I won’t block you until next year. I can’t just lose to an asshole like you. Do you think I’d give up?”
The thought of making him fall for him in a year was utterly ridiculous. Kyungsoo had already won this bet. Even if it lasted ten years, he was certain he’d win. With a mocking look at the dazed Noeul, Kyungsoo turned back around.
“Kyungsoo hyung.”
“Oh, what now—”
Noeul lowered his head and gave a quick peck on his lip corner. Kyungsoo, caught off guard, released his grip on the bat, letting it drop to the floor with a loud clang. Noeul picked it up and handed it back to him, opening the door.
“Sweet dreams.”
Noeul’s eyes crinkled with a smile. Wasn’t it too cheesy for a goodbye?
“…Yeah, you too.”
Kyungsoo forcefully closed the door. The faint touch of lips that had briefly brushed down his left lip corner felt warm. Rubbing his mouth, he muttered to himself.
“Is that jerk coming down with a cold or something…?”

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL What does a combo kill even matter… they took them all down. Nearly a hundred failed attackers – they took them all out alone. Using the Bubble Bubble stacking skill bug, LOL. Who even uses Bubble Bubble; beginners skip that skill altogether, LOL. I’ll give him props for having the guts to reset skills and switch weapons mid-defeat just to exploit a bug.
Result = Victory;
Oh, and this isn’t some promotional post for that asshole Sunset, so if anyone starts praising him here, you’re dead to me.

Because I was dragged into a forced PvP during Cheon Noeul’s Gunner massacre. It’s still too embarrassing to share the details here, haha, but I’ll never forget it. It even comes up in my nightmares sometimes.
That day (the Gunner massacre day), I was just passing through town organizing items, and then someone challenged me to PvP, out of nowhere. And it turned out to be… Cheon Noeul! Haha. I mean, I couldn’t not recognize him, given that he’s always in the popular posts. So, yeah, I’ll admit, I accepted the challenge thinking it might boost my win rate. But it was definitely weird, right? So I sent a “??” in chat. And guess what Cheon Noeul said back?

Sigh, that’s supposed to be my line here, right???
Anyway, you all know what happened next. Yep, I got absolutely destroyed! Thanks to that jerk, my win rate dropped, and I was so embarrassed I couldn’t tell anyone. I mean, losing to Cheon Noeul was enough to make me lose rank, and then I got roasted by all the other Gunners… If you were one of them, come apologize now. Could any of you have won, seriously? In retrospect, I’m just relieved it wasn’t Sunset.
P.S. Buff us Gunners, please… our attack speed is way too slow to be viable!

A while ago, a friend and I were joking about Sunset and thought, “There’s no way he quit the game completely; he probably made a new account.” I ended up watching a video Poseidon posted on the forum…

Check this out. It’s an old clip of Sunset’s gameplay, and the movements are so similar, right? Jump left-right, paralyze, then backflip to stab. I don’t think Cheon Noeul ever tried to dodge until recently. It’s like he didn’t care if he got hit. Now I think I get why. He could just go back to Sunset if he wanted, so there was no reason to level up an alt character. The timing fits too—Sunset got banned, and right after, Cheon Noeul appeared. It’s eerie, I couldn’t sleep all night.
Anyway, this is just my theory. Normally, I’d just brush off his sudden improvement as learning from Sunset’s videos, but then look at this…
