Mermaid Apocalypse Survival Guide

Xia Yu was a test subject who grew up in a research institute. For as long as he can remember, everyone in the lab has called him “Little Jellyfish.”

Due to a mixture of jellyfish DNA in his body, he is insensitive to pain, can turn parts of his body transparent, and can regenerate severed limbs.

He never rebelled against his fate and accepted his daily routine, thinking his life would continue this way until one day the robot awakened and the research institute was breached.

The human who had once pointed a scalpel at him fell, giving Xia Yu a chance to escape. In the final moments before the lab’s self-destruct program activated, pity stirred within him, and he rescued another X-series subject—Mo An.

He was a mermaid who had incubated within a fish egg for six years, motionless.

The world was no longer peaceful. There were robot wars, the rise of alien species, natural disasters, and genetic mutations—everything could be fatal.

Ten-year-old Xia Yu braved the acid rain while carrying Mo An to safety. He didn’t know if Mo An would successfully hatch, but he never considered abandoning the egg.

One day, Xia Yu was captured by a cyborg in exchange for nutrients for the egg. He was thrown into a waste disposal plant for disassembly. The one-meter-tall egg finally moved.

“Little Jellyfish is clumsy, but Little Jellyfish must never be hurt.”

This was Mo An’s only thought after slipping out of the egg.

Tips:
*Mermaids are aggressive and have large, fish-like bodies. They also have their own survival rules.
*Those who don’t understand cyberpunk shouldn’t worry about not understanding it. I can’t write anything that’s too difficult to understand.
