OFCC – Chapter 21

After speaking, Yi Jingming casually touched the watch on his wrist. The face wasn’t smooth like the diamond watches Mu Yanxi usually wore; it was an old-fashioned style, adorned with a few gemstones.

It looked more like a vintage collector’s piece.

Mu Yanxi raised an eyebrow slightly. It seemed that even without her help, Yi Jingming was still doing quite well for himself in this life.

She just wondered how long it would last.

Mu Yanxi picked up her wine glass and swirled it unhurriedly. She didn’t immediately return Yi Jingming’s toast, letting him hold his glass in the air for several seconds before she finally turned her head.

Her eyes curved up slightly, and her voice held a smile, but the sarcasm in her tone was undisguised: “I’m just afraid some people won’t be able to sleep soundly after getting a project.”

Yi Jingming tightened his grip on his glass. “Mu Yanxi, what do you mean?” he asked in a low voice.

This time, before Mu Yanxi could speak, a female cousin next to her spoke up first: “Brother Jingming, I heard you’re with Eldest Miss Bai. Is it true?”

Someone nearby, eager for drama, immediately chimed in: “What Eldest Miss Bai? From which family?”

The cousin glanced over, feigning profound knowledge: “Bai Yu’an, the daughter of the man behind the Shuilin Fang bid. They’re a huge name in real estate.”

At this, the way the surrounding Yi family members looked at Yi Jingming instantly changed. Some began to make snide remarks:

“Ah, so that’s how Brother Jingming is so capable. Turns out he’s latched onto someone powerful.”

“Eldest Miss Bai must be hard to please. Brother Jingming must have his work cut out for him.”

“Brother Jingming is truly someone destined for great things. He’d even change his sexual orientation for a project, huh?”

“Yeah, Brother Jingming, should we still call you next time we go to the nightclub?”

Just as Yi Jingming was about to retort, the sound of hurried high heels came from the restaurant entrance: “What did you mean by that?”

The newcomer wore a pair of ten-centimeter, diamond-studded high heels. Her attire, from head to toe, was high-end luxury, its price obvious without needing to guess. Even the half-up hairstyle on her head was secured with a diamond-studded hairpin.

Instantly, all eyes turned to her.

The woman was aggressive and completely unafraid of the many eyes on her. “Yi Jingming, you’d better explain yourself!”

Hearing her voice, Yi Jingming’s shoulders trembled. He turned, his face pale. “An… An’an? You… didn’t you say you had a family matter and couldn’t come?”

The woman was none other than the Bai family’s eldest daughter they had just been discussing, Bai Yu’an.

Mu Yanxi hadn’t noticed when Bai Yu’an arrived, but it was clear that Miss Bai had heard the recent conversation.

She had been planning to find an opportunity to meet this Miss Bai, but she hadn’t expected Yi Jingming, in his eagerness to show off, to invite Miss Bai directly to the Yi residence.

It was truly effortless.

The dining table was rectangular. Yi Wulan’s seat was closer to Old Madam Yi on the inside, while the few Yi family members who had just spoken were sitting at the other end.

Old Madam Yi was old and hard of hearing. She asked, “Who is this young lady?”

Considering the old madam’s weak heart, a younger member of the Yi family spoke up: “Grandma, it’s about company business. Why don’t you go rest in the living room for a bit?”

“Ah, that’s fine.”

Bai Yu’an was clearly polite as well. She smiled and greeted the old madam as she passed, but as soon as the old woman’s back was turned, her face grew cold. “Yi Jingming, is this how you treat me? What did I ever do to you for you to lie to me like this? You shameless, closeted gay!”

“An’an, let me explain.” Yi Jingming hurriedly stepped forward, wanting to lead her outside. “There are too many people here. Let’s go outside to talk.”

Bai Yu’an took a step to the side to avoid him. “Why should we go outside? What, you don’t dare to admit it now that your dirty laundry has been aired? These are all your Yi family members. I think there are no better witnesses.”

Mu Yanxi, sitting at the other end of the long table, could no longer sit still. When she felt Yi Wulan’s questioning gaze, Mu Yanxi propped her chin on her hand, her expression slightly worried. “Yi Jingming is being slandered like this. As a member of the Yi family, don’t you think I should go over and say a word in his defense?”

If a stranger had seen her, they might have truly believed Mu Yanxi was worried about her relative and wanted to stand up for him.

Yi Wulan’s hand, holding a napkin, paused slightly. Hearing Mu Yanxi’s words, she turned her head to look at her thoughtfully.

Her irises were a dark shade, giving her a sharp, cold look when her face was expressionless, like a bottomless abyss. But at this moment, her eyes were tinged with the warm light of the chandelier above, and they reflected only Mu Yanxi.

Even when just looking quietly, those peach blossom eyes gave the illusion of deep affection and doting.

Mu Yanxi tugged on Yi Wulan’s skirt. “Please?”

“Go on.” Yi Wulan glanced toward the entrance. “If you don’t go now, you’ll miss the good show.”

“How could you think of me like that?” Mu Yanxi leaned in close to Yi Wulan’s ear, her breath as fragrant as an orchid. “If you imagine me that way, I’ll be very hurt.”

Yi Wulan steadied Mu Yanxi’s arm and, mimicking her, said softly, “If Yi Jingming manages to placate that Miss Bai, I think you’ll be the one who’s hurt.”

Mu Yanxi blinked, her hands and feet growing restless. She wrapped her arms around Yi Wulan’s neck. “This must be that telepathic connection between a married couple, right? Yi Wulan, you understand me so well.”

Yi Wulan coughed softly twice and pushed her away.

But Mu Yanxi caught Yi Wulan’s retreating hand. “Why don’t you come watch with me? I’ll be scared going over there as an outsider.”

“You get scared?”

“Of course! I’m very timid.” Mu Yanxi stood up, walked behind Yi Wulan’s wheelchair, and leaned down slightly. “Please?”

Yi Wulan averted her gaze. “As you wish.”

When Mu Yanxi and Yi Wulan went over, almost everyone at the table had already gathered around. Yi Jingming was still trying to explain his unwavering, heaven-and-earth-witnessed love for Bai Yu’an. The scene was quite lively.

But Bai Yu’an wasn’t so easily fooled. She pulled over the person who had broken the news when she first came in. “I’m asking you, was Yi Jingming seeing a boyfriend or a girlfriend before?”

The person stammered, “I’m not very familiar with Brother Jingming. I just noticed that he never gets close to any women.”

Bai Yu’an was already tall, and in those ten-centimeter heels, she was nearly as tall as Yi Jingming, her presence not losing out to his in the slightest. “Yi Jingming, do you have anything else to say? I treated you so well, and you were just lying to me? Was it fun to deceive me?”

Seeing this, Mu Yanxi pushed Yi Wulan to the side to find a good spot for watching the show, then pulled up a chair to sit beside her. She picked up a plate of sliced, seedless watermelon and began to eat it, bite by bite.

Sensing the gaze of the person beside her, she felt a little embarrassed about eating alone and reluctantly turned her head to ask, “Do you want some?”

The corner of Yi Wulan’s lips curved slightly. “No, thank you. You go ahead.”

“Alright.” Reassured by the refusal, Mu Yanxi turned her attention back to Yi Jingming.

Yi Jingming was apologizing profusely. “An’an, don’t be hasty. Let me explain, it’s not what you think. I don’t get close to other women because I don’t want to lead them on. I’ve told you before, you’re my first love. I want to give you the best version of myself. Was I wrong for that?”

Bai Yu’an quieted down a little, but her tone was still full of doubt. “Really?”

“Of course it’s true. Don’t you know how I treat you? I think of you in everything I do, I listen to you in everything. Isn’t that love?”

Just as Bai Yu’an was about to waver, the cousin beside them coolly interjected, “How is that love? I’d say it’s more like he wants something from her.”

Yi Jingming frantically shot a look at the people next to him, and someone immediately came to his defense. “Miss Bai, you’re my brother’s first love. Just a few days ago, he was telling me how wonderful and perfect his girlfriend is. Don’t listen to people’s baseless doubts.”

“That’s right. Brother Jingming was being all secretive a few days ago, wouldn’t let us see you, saying he had to respect your wishes. We teased him about it for a long time.”

Bai Yu’an stared at Yi Jingming and asked, “Really?”

“Of course it’s true.”

Bai Yu’an nodded. However, before Yi Jingming could breathe a sigh of relief, she suddenly asked, “Then what about your sexual orientation?”

Yi Jingming’s face showed no cracks. In a doting tone, he said, “An’an, you’re so quick to believe rumors. How could you misunderstand me like that?”

“My, I didn’t expect the Yi family to have such a devoted man. Yi Wulan, you should take some notes.”

The slightly teasing voice drew everyone’s attention to Mu Yanxi.

Mu Yanxi was leaning slightly against Yi Wulan’s shoulder, looking incredibly intimate.

And Yi Wulan had her head tilted slightly, devoid of the cold indifference she usually showed them, looking extremely patient.

This pair, bound together by an agreement between their elders, didn’t seem to have the drawbacks of a typical wealthy family alliance they had imagined.

The usually spoiled and arrogant Mu Yanxi showed no aversion to Yi Wulan’s post-accident condition, while the usually distant Yi Wulan could actually listen patiently.

Like a young couple deep in love, whispering sweet, chiding nothings.

“Mu Yanxi!” Seeing how close they were, the anger Yi Jingming felt at being used as a substitute flared up again. “Stop putting on that affectionate act. Do you think no one knows what you’ve done?”

“What have I done?” Mu Yanxi tilted her head. “You’re not trying to tattle to Yi Wulan, are you? Hinting that I had a relationship with ‘someone else’ before our marriage?”

Mu Yanxi hadn’t expected Yi Jingming to dare to bring up their past, but thankfully, she had been reborn early enough that her passion for him hadn’t lasted too long.

Mu Yanxi deliberately emphasized the words “someone else” with a hint of sarcasm.

Because of Mu Yanxi’s words, Yi Wulan, who was now being stared at strangely by everyone, was speechless.

After learning that Mu Yanxi had used Yi Jingming as a substitute, Yi Wulan had also done some investigating. She naturally knew that Yi Jingming was now deliberately trying to sow discord.

She frowned slightly and shifted her gaze to Yi Jingming.

Yi Jingming had only blurted out that sentence because he was furious. After saying it, he felt it was a bit strange, as if he had exposed himself as well.

But what he didn’t expect was that after he’d said it, Mu Yanxi’s actions became even more brazen.

Without any regard for the strange looks from the crowd, Mu Yanxi rested her chin on Yi Wulan’s shoulder, her fingers toying with a strand of Yi Wulan’s hair.

Yi Wulan subconsciously relaxed her body.

Yi Jingming changed his tack and began to criticize Mu Yanxi’s behavior. “Mu Yanxi, you’re married to my elder sister, after all. You know she doesn’t like people getting close, how can you be so… in public…”

“So you do know you’re just Yi Wulan’s younger brother.” Mu Yanxi cut Yi Jingming off, her tone shifting to mockery. “You even want to manage your sister’s private affairs. Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were actual siblings from the same gene pool.”

Mu Yanxi deliberately stressed the words “actual siblings,” her tone thick with sarcasm, reminding Yi Jingming of his place.

The white shirt on Yi Jingming’s chest heaved with anger.

Mu Yanxi enjoyed the look on Yi Jingming’s face for a moment, then hooked Yi Wulan’s hand with her fingertip. “I am your legal wife, after all. Do I have to report everything I do with you to your younger brother?”

Her voice was deliberately lowered, soft and sweet, with a hint of shyness and grievance.

Yi Wulan had heard this tone many times, but this was the first time she’d heard Mu Yanxi complain like this in front of others, so she naturally played along.

Her hooked finger curled slightly, her long lashes hiding her eyes. Her voice was low and soft, yet firm. “Yes. He has no right to interfere.”

The sight of the two acting so intimate as if no one else was around was a sharp sting to Yi Jingming. One was the shadow he had envied and hated since childhood, and the other was the immense support he had almost obtained but had slipped through his fingers.

He took a deep breath and turned to Bai Yu’an beside him, his tone apologetic. “An’an, you know we siblings like to joke around. Sorry you had to see that. Why don’t I take you home first?”

Before Bai Yu’an could say anything, Mu Yanxi interjected again, “Who’s joking with you?”

Yi Jingming turned his head, exasperated. “Mu Yanxi, you’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you!”

“I am.” Mu Yanxi made no attempt to hide it. While playing with Yi Wulan’s fingers, she said nonchalantly, “But I’m not the one who made a fool of Miss Bai.”

Seeing this, Yi Jingming suddenly decided he didn’t want to save face for Mu Yanxi anymore. He turned his head to look at Yi Wulan, with a desperate resolve as if he was ready to burn everything down. “Yi Wulan, you don’t know, do you? Mu Yanxi used to chase after other men.”

“So what?” Yi Wulan gave a short laugh, not even sparing Yi Jingming a glance. Instead, she reached out and stroked Mu Yanxi’s head. “I’m already very content that she’s willing to be with me.”

“You don’t even care about that?” Yi Jingming’s eyes widened in disbelief, unable to accept that his ruthless elder sister was so love-struck.

“As long as Yanxi is happy.” Yi Wulan’s gaze was gentle, her eyes and heart seemingly filled with only Mu Yanxi.

Mu Yanxi was slightly stunned. Even though she knew Yi Wulan was just acting along with her, she subconsciously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear to avoid giving anything away.

The rising heat in her ears made Mu Yanxi feel a little flustered. She could only blame it all on Yi Jingming, standing up to question him, “Yi Jingming, what are you trying to do by repeatedly dragging me into the conversation? Are you trying to divert Miss Bai’s attention?”

Mu Yanxi walked toward Yi Jingming step by step, her voice soft but tinged with a chill. “Speaking of hiding one’s sexual orientation, did you think of yourself? Is that why you’re so flustered?”

“I didn’t…” Yi Jingming couldn’t help but take half a step back.

In his memory, Mu Yanxi had always been obedient. Even on the day they discussed the wedding, Mu Yanxi had never spoken to him in such a tone.

Mu Yanxi pressed on, “No, that’s exactly what you were thinking. You wanted to shift the focus, trying to make Yi Wulan and me turn against each other to cover up your own filth.”

“You’re talking nonsense!”

Mu Yanxi’s words were like a sharp knife, cutting through the human skin Yi Jingming had worn for so long, revealing the wretched interior.

All the filth Yi Jingming had hidden so deeply was exposed for all to see.

Bai Yu’an, at the side, finally realized something. She took a few steps and stood in front of Mu Yanxi. “Miss Mu, what did you mean by what you just said?”

Mu Yanxi calmly unlocked her phone, switched to WeChat, and handed it to Bai Yu’an. “This is a video taken by the paparazzi. Uncut and unedited. It should have the answer you’re looking for.”

Bai Yu’an took it, her expression shifting from initial confusion to growing fury.

Before the video was even finished, Bai Yu’an stepped forward and slapped Yi Jingming across the face. “Yi Jingming, go to hell! You’re a deeply closeted gay who preys on people’s feelings, a scumbag full of lies!”

The entire room was in an uproar.

Even if some in the Yi family knew about Yi Jingming’s sexual orientation, given how long Mu Yanxi had been fooled by him before, Yi Jingming clearly hadn’t expected her to have any concrete evidence.

So, when Bai Yu’an’s slap landed, he was completely stunned.

By the time he reacted, he violently grabbed Bai Yu’an’s hand as she tried to strike again. “Don’t listen to Mu Yanxi’s nonsense! She wants Shuilin Fang too! She’s jealous that I got it, so she’s deliberately trying to drive a wedge between us!”

Bai Yu’an quickly shook off Yi Jingming’s hand. “Yi Jingming, what kind of daydream are you having? When did Shuilin Fang become yours? Could you have some shame?”

This time, Yi Jingming was unresponsive for several seconds. It wasn’t until Bai Yu’an changed tactics and started hitting him with her sequined metal clutch that he snapped back to his senses.

Bai Yu’an showed no mercy. The sequins scraped against Yi Jingming’s left cheek, leaving a scratch.

Tiny beads of blood slowly began to form on the wound.

But he had no energy to worry about his face. He glared at her furiously. “What did you just say?”

Seeing this, Mu Yanxi pulled Bai Yu’an behind her for protection. “Do you need me to repeat it for Miss Bai?”

She let out a small laugh. “Since someone’s hearing isn’t so good, I’ll repeat it. The Shuilin Fang project doesn’t belong to you, little brother~”

Yi Jingming was overcome with rage, the gentle facade on his face completely gone. “Say that again?”

This time, without needing Mu Yanxi to speak, Bai Yu’an had also recovered and peeked out from behind Mu Yanxi. “My dad intends to cooperate with the Yi family on Shuilin Fang. Who told you it was definitely yours?”

As she spoke, she even winked at Mu Yanxi before continuing her tirade:

“I was originally planning to surprise you, which is why I said I had a family matter and couldn’t come. Who knew I’d get such a reward for being late?

There were so many capable partners at the bidding that day. Even if my dad were blind, he wouldn’t cooperate with a petty person like you. My dad has his eye on Rongjia. Did you think you could represent Rongjia?”

Mu Yanxi raised an eyebrow slightly. “Rongjia?”

Bai Yu’an nodded. “I was hoping to discuss this cooperation while many of your Yi family members were here. I’m not familiar with you all, so I hoped the Yi family would provide the funding, but with Yi Jingming as the person in charge.”

Mu Yanxi nodded. The situation in this life was very different from the last. With so many strong companies at the bid, Mr. Bai had plenty of options. It made no sense for him to just hand it over to Yi Jingming. Bai Yu’an’s words were reasonable.

She just hadn’t expected that Yi Jingming and the others thought they had secured Shuilin Fang just by getting a handle on Bai Yu’an. They didn’t know that perhaps Bai Yu’an was just treating Yi Jingming as a diversion, far from the point of giving him a project for his sake.

She repeated, “So you plan to cooperate with Rongjia?”

“That’s right.” Bai Yu’an turned to look at Yi Wulan in her wheelchair. “Or rather, President Yi, could you give me a chance?”

Mu Yanxi’s expectant little expression fell into Yi Wulan’s eyes. Yi Wulan nodded. “Yes.”

As soon as she spoke, Yi Jingming rushed toward them, his teeth clenched. “Yi Wulan!”

Unexpectedly, a bodyguard in black suddenly appeared. With what looked like a gentle push, he sent Yi Jingming stumbling to the ground in a pathetic heap.

Mu Yanxi, still shaken, looked at Yi Wulan with confusion. Yi Wulan gave her a look.

Mu Yanxi raised her eyebrows. She hadn’t expected that Yi Wulan not only managed the company meticulously but could also be so well-prepared for this kind of argument.

Yi Jingming had fallen awkwardly and seemed to have hit a bone. He remained in a wretched position on the floor, unable to get up for a long time, just glaring viciously in Yi Wulan’s direction.

After staring for a while, he looked at Bai Yu’an with a placating tone. “An’an, let me explain. It’s really not what they said.”

“Did you not go around telling everyone about us, or did you not use that to boast that you’d secured Shuilin Fang?” Bai Yu’an was merciless. “Or perhaps… you didn’t hang out with that group of male celebrities in a gay bar?”

Yi Jingming’s face turned pale, whether from the pain of being pushed or the guilt of being exposed.

“That’s enough.” Mu Yanxi’s face grew cold. “Yi Jingming, do you really need me to print out the intimate photos of you with other men at the nightclub before you’ll give up?”

After speaking, Mu Yanxi looked at Bai Yu’an. “Miss Bai, there are plenty of fish in the sea.”

Unexpectedly, Bai Yu’an suddenly replied, “Then can I fall for a flower like you?”

Mu Yanxi took a wary step back. “I’m married.”

Bai Yu’an laughed, and much of her earlier unhappiness dissipated. “Don’t worry, I’m straight.”

Mu Yanxi ignored Bai Yu’an and walked back to Yi Wulan’s side, sitting down with a smile. “Yi Wulan, your Rongjia Group should be quite humane, right? Look at your brother, he’s so injured. Aren’t you going to give him some sick leave?”

Yi Jingming, who had just struggled to his feet, heard this, lost his footing, and slid back down to his knees.

“You’re right, I was inconsiderate.” Yi Wulan looked at Yi Jingming. “For the next three months, you don’t need to concern yourself with Rongjia’s affairs. I’ll have Gu Yan find someone to take over your position.”

Yi Jingming’s current position at Rongjia was neither major nor minor. But with Yi Wulan’s severe post-accident complications, many in Rongjia’s management treated Yi Jingming as the future boss.

Who would have thought that Yi Wulan, with a single, casual sentence, would take away the authority his father had worked so hard to secure for him.

Yi Jingming wanted to argue, but when he met Yi Wulan’s dark eyes, the inferiority and fear that had been suppressed for years made it impossible for him to utter another word.

The huge dining room fell instantly silent.

Since her accident, Yi Wulan hadn’t asserted her authority in front of the Yi family for a long time.

But her words just now were a sudden blow to the restless members of the Yi family, making them clearly realize that even with crippled legs and a serious illness, as long as Yi Wulan was around, she was still the absolute president of Rongjia, still able to revoke all their privileges with a single sentence.

Those who had long since sided with Yi Jingming immediately abandoned any thought of speaking up for him, a cold sweat breaking out on their backs.

Out of respect for the old madam’s birthday, Yi Wulan had the bodyguards send Yi Jingming to the hospital, while Bai Yu’an took a contract out of her bag, handed it to Mu Yanxi, and then left.

The old madam was helped back to the dining table by a few maids. They had sat down early, and the kitchen hadn’t had time to serve the dishes yet. Now was the perfect time.

When the old madam couldn’t find Yi Jingming, she asked, “Where did Jingming go?”

Mu Yanxi smiled. “Grandma, he had an urgent matter at the company. You don’t mind me keeping you company, do you?”

“You young people should focus on your careers. I’m already very happy with so many people here with me.”

Everything returned to how it was at the beginning, and the family banquet continued.

Dinner without Yi Jingming was very warm. Everyone stayed with the old madam until it was time for her to sleep before leaving.

Mu Yanxi couldn’t be bothered to make small talk with the other Yi family members. After the old madam went upstairs, she was the first to leave with Yi Wulan.

The temperature difference between inside and outside was huge, and a thin layer of sweat formed on her skin as soon as she stepped out.

The warm breeze that hit her made Mu Yanxi stagger. Fortunately, she managed to grab the back of Yi Wulan’s wheelchair in time to steady herself.

“You should pay more attention to your own body.” Yi Wulan frowned at Mu Yanxi. “Are you suffering from heatstroke?”

The nighttime temperature in Yuncheng was nearly forty degrees, but it wasn’t so hot that one would have a reaction to heatstroke just by stepping out of an air-conditioned room. Mu Yanxi had no idea that she had just reinforced her fragile image in Yi Wulan’s mind.

Mu Yanxi helped Yi Wulan into the car, then quickly circled to the other side and got in. The driver had already turned on the air conditioning, which revived her completely.

She leaned over to Yi Wulan with a grin, pressing down on Yi Wulan’s hand as she was about to close the door. “But I have you, don’t I?”

“I can’t watch you every second.”

Mu Yanxi closed the car door for Yi Wulan and asked matter-of-factly, “If you’re not looking at me, who else would you be looking at?”

Yi Wulan closed her eyes, her silence a refusal to answer.

Mu Yanxi wasn’t annoyed. She continued to pester Yi Wulan, “I helped you secure Shuilin Fang today, you know. You haven’t even thanked me yet.”

Yi Wulan opened her eyes. “Miss Bai said the project was already Rongjia’s.”

Mu Yanxi retorted, “But she also said that while the project was for Rongjia, the original person in charge was designated as Yi Jingming. If you wanted to change that, you would probably have to renegotiate.”

“Renegotiating doesn’t necessarily mean making concessions.” Yi Wulan’s tone was very calm, carrying the confidence she had long cultivated in her work.

“Alright, alright, President Yi is so impressive, taking away his authority just like that.” Mu Yanxi sighed teasingly, looking at the night scenery outside the window. She mentioned casually, “Yi Wulan, were you happy today?”

Yi Wulan thought about it seriously. “It was alright. What about you?”

Mu Yanxi smiled. “You were with me the whole day, so of course I was happy.”

“But from what I saw, that’s not why you were happy.”

“Oh, don’t expose me.” Mu Yanxi’s eyes darted around. Suddenly thinking of something, she leaned in again. “When Yi Jingming said to your face that I was involved with someone else before our marriage, how did you feel?”

Yi Wulan paused for a moment, then answered honestly, “I didn’t feel much of anything.”

“I knew you wouldn’t mind.” The corners of Mu Yanxi’s lips curled up, her voice carrying a soft, breathy quality. “After all, I just heard you say that you were already content just to be with me.”

As her breath brushed against her face, it brought an indescribable sensation, like a soft feather gently tickling her skin.

Yi Wulan leaned back slightly, trying to avoid it.

Mu Yanxi let out a light, succubus-like laugh and lowered her voice. “Yi Wulan, have you fallen for me?”
