PSMD – Chapter 113

Tao Sixian’s job was a flight attendant, with a schedule of flying four days and resting two. This Sunday and next Monday were her next rest days. Qiu Yang arranged to meet her at Xinhao Hotel on Sunday evening.

Since she had to do something, she should take the initiative and not remain passive.

Pingzi was just a tool cat at the moment. Qiu Yang would never want to send it to Tao Sixian to be “abused” by her.

But thinking about meeting Tao Sixian on Sunday evening put Qiu Yang in a gloomy mood. She no longer had any affection for Tao Sixian, only increasingly bad impressions.

In the past, she was too starved for love, thinking that as long as she was good to someone, they would never leave her. Even if she didn’t feel their care, it didn’t matter, because all she needed was not to sleep alone at night.

But Tao Sixian often found excuses to go out, and Qiu Yang was alone on many nights.

She should have realized long ago that Tao Sixian didn’t like her, that Tao Sixian treated her like a nanny. It was the long-term loneliness that blinded her eyes and made her persist for so long.

Now, two months later, recalling the past events in detail, Qiu Yang only felt like she had entered a scam, immersing herself in it, believing she was loved and cared for, until the end came and she struggled out of the confusion.

It just took some time to fully wake up, and Shen Ningruo was undoubtedly the catalyst that accelerated her awakening, allowing her to see Tao Sixian’s true face early on, and finally letting her know what it truly felt like to be cherished.

“Qiu Jie,” Gu Lan’s voice pulled Qiu Yang back to reality. “Can I still come see Pingzi after this?”

In the company pantry on Friday noon, Gu Lan learned that Qiu Yang would be moving her things to Shen Ningruo’s place tomorrow. After saying “Congratulations,” she started worrying about this.

She and Director Shen were practically strangers, having only exchanged a few brief words.

So, if she wanted to see the cute little cat Pingzi later, she definitely couldn’t just go to Qiu Yang’s place as casually as before, because Qiu Yang’s new residence was Director Shen’s apartment.

“Of course you can,” Qiu Yang replied with a smile, then lowered her head to take a sip of water.

Gu Lan’s eyes lit up: “Great!”

“Then I’m relieved.”

Qiu Yang’s eyes curved into a smile. She looked out the window, pursing her lips. “It’s so hot today too.”

“It’ll be over thirty degrees soon,” Gu Lan sighed. “I hate summer so much, it’s unbearably hot. Just going out makes you sweaty and sticky, it’s really uncomfortable.”

Qiu Yang agreed: “It is.”

Gu Lan’s eyes suddenly darted around. “Oh, right, Qiu Jie, let me confirm something with you.”

“What?”

“Qu Jie is with that general manager now, right?”

Qiu Yang nodded: “Yes, Qu Jie even gave out chocolate balls to everyone in our office that day.”

Gu Lan frowned: “But I just feel like something is off, I can’t quite put my finger on it. Even though I haven’t been at the company that long, I’m well-versed in the basic gossip. I’ve always heard that Qu Jie had an ex she couldn’t forget. Was I fooled?”

“You were fooled,” Qiu Yang couldn’t help but laugh. “Stop believing all that gossip in the group chat.”

“But there’s so much news in the group, and it’s very timely.”

“Like President Wen returning to the company this afternoon.”

Qiu Yang was startled: “President Wen is coming back?”

President Wen Yuan, the busy, hands-off general manager, rarely came to Wanming.

Gu Lan nodded: “Yeah, I don’t know what it’s about.”

After chatting with Gu Lan for a few more sentences, Qiu Yang returned to her desk. She took out the chocolate ball from her drawer, held it in her hand, lowered her head, looked at it for a while, and then put it back.

She knew Qu Yan had an ex she couldn’t forget, but it had been quite some time, and Qu Yan should have moved on from that failed relationship by now.

Qiu Yang sighed inwardly, then heard her phone vibrate twice on the desk.

It was a text message from Tao Sixian. Qiu Yang frowned slightly and opened the message.

She hadn’t saved Tao Sixian’s contact name, but she remembered her number.

Tao Sixian:【Yangyang, don’t forget our dinner on Sunday evening~】

The tilde at the end was quite annoying.

Qiu Yang:……

She really wanted to forget, but considering she wasn’t going for nothing, she had to remember.

She looked at the line of text, finally sent back an “Okay,” then placed her phone face down on the desk and opened the file on her computer.

Actually, even if she and Shen Ningruo really broke up one day, Qiu Yang wouldn’t think of going back to Tao Sixian.

Moreover, it was almost impossible for her and Shen Ningruo to break up. Qiu Yang was very certain of this.

She didn’t know if she was being naive, but in her mind, her future with Shen Ningruo was indeed locked in.

Shen Ningruo felt the same way. As closing time approached, she finally had some free time. Thinking about Qiu Yang moving to her place tomorrow, she was overjoyed.

She knew Qiu Yang still had some concerns because her current apartment lease was nearing its end, and the landlord was giving Qiu Yang time to decide whether to renew.

But this still didn’t affect her good mood.

If Qiu Yang moved all her things to her place, it meant she was completely entrusting herself to her.

From then on, Shen Ningruo’s residence would become Qiu Yang’s home.

The word “home” has always been an obsession for many people.

Ke Yezi came to report something new to Shen Ningruo before leaving work. After entering the office, she saw that the Director still had a cold expression.

However, a previous chance encounter made Ke Yezi realize that Shen Ningruo’s appearance was merely a mask she wore.

“Director.”

“I just contacted the person in charge at Shengyuan Company. They hope we can visit their company next Tuesday.”

Shen Ningruo held her pen, her writing paused, then she decided: “Then inform the relevant people.”

This meant a business trip. Shengyuan Company’s address wasn’t in Yuncheng, but in Liucheng.

“Okay,” Ke Yezi nodded. “Then I’ll go out.”

But Shen Ningruo called out to her: “Manager Ke.”

“Is there anything else, Director?”

“You…”

“Do you think my relationship with Department Head Qiu is good?”

Ke Yezi’s heart started pounding. She was still a bit nervous; after all, Shen Ningruo was her direct superior.

President Qin Yu was often not at the company, so the top position was practically held by Shen Ningruo.

Even though she had met Shen Ningruo privately, Shen Ningruo was still the formidable Director.

“Yes…” Ke Yezi replied, swallowing.

Shen Ningruo pursed her lips. She found it a bit amusing and simply asked, “Are you very nervous?”

“No, not nervous.”

Shen Ningruo put down her pen and touched the tip of her nose. “Although I don’t think I need to explain to you, I don’t want you to misunderstand.”

“Department Head Qiu and I are not just socialist sisters.” Shen Ningruo added the next sentence.

“…Okay.” Ke Yezi felt like she was being led in circles. She didn’t understand what Shen Ningruo meant. Her usually sharp mind felt like it couldn’t process things at the moment.

Shen Ningruo waved her hand: “You can go.”

“Okay.” Ke Yezi didn’t hesitate, retreating from the Director’s office. As soon as the door closed, she carefully pondered Shen Ningruo’s words.

Not just socialist sisters, then what…?

An idea instantly popped into Ke Yezi’s mind. She covered her mouth in surprise, then cautiously looked around.

Oh my god!

Their Director had been bent!

Recalling the woman who appeared in Shen Ningruo’s camera before, Ke Yezi, who had been somewhat doubtful, was now absolutely certain that person was Qiu Yang.

Well.

They met in Xicheng, reunited in Yuncheng – it was practically a match made in heaven!

As a seasoned fan of shipping couples, Ke Yezi immediately spotted the sweet points and internally squealed twice.

Putting everything else aside, Director Shen and Department Head Qiu were a great match in terms of looks. She remembered seeing them both in Xicheng.

Very pleasing to the eye.

Shen Ningruo didn’t expect Ke Yezi’s thoughts to wander so quickly, but it was almost time to leave work. Compared to guessing others’ thoughts, she was more looking forward to this.

Unconsciously, her habits had been influenced by Qiu Yang. Before, she would never have paid attention to how much time was left until work ended.

However, after work today, she wouldn’t go straight home. Instead, she would first have dinner at Yao Yao’s place, followed by a trip to KTV.

Qiu Yang had already agreed to this. Shen Ningruo thought about it and realized she had indeed never gone singing with Qiu Yang.

She and Qiu Yang actually had many dates they hadn’t been on yet.

The dinner location was a restaurant relatively close to the KTV. Shen Ningruo was further away and also got caught in traffic, so she was the last to arrive.

Yue Chu had the day shift today and had also arrived. She and Yao Yao sat on one side, so naturally, Shen Ningruo and Qiu Yang sat together.

Who would have thought the final romantic trajectory of the four of them would be like this?

The dishes had been ordered early, and more than half had arrived. The restaurant was getting increasingly crowded and noisy.

“I heard Yangyang is a great singer, so I have to witness it tonight. As for me, I don’t have any other talents to show off, but I’m pretty good at singing,” Yao Yao boasted while pouring drinks for everyone.

Qiu Yang smiled and nodded: “Okay.”

Yao Yao glanced at Shen Ningruo: “Hey, I just remembered, Director Shen’s singing seems to be…”

“Always off-key?”

Qiu Yang looked at Shen Ningruo with some curiosity: “Really?”

“Fake,” Shen Ningruo frowned. “Do I look like someone who would sing off-key?”

Yue Chu smiled, picked up her drink, and before drinking, she said: “Shen Ningruo, your reputation for being off-key is quite well-known, don’t you know that?”

Shen Ningruo widened her eyes innocently: “It can’t be that bad!”

Qiu Yang’s eyes curved into a smile. She really hadn’t expected Shen Ningruo to sing off-key.

But that didn’t matter.

They finished dinner only after it was completely dark. Just as Yao Yao was signaling for the bill, the waiter informed them that the bill for their table had already been paid in advance.

The waiter said the person who paid was a woman who looked relatively young.

“Excuse me, is there a Ms. Qiu?” the waiter asked with a smile.

Qiu Yang and Shen Ningruo exchanged glances, and Qiu Yang quietly responded: “That’s me.”

“Okay, that lady asked me to pass on a message to you.”

“She said she still likes you.”
