After Shen Ningruo finished speaking, she paused, then lowered her gaze: “But I rely on her more.”
In a romantic relationship, reliance is important. For example, if you get hurt, the first person you think of is your partner – that’s a form of reliance.
Wanting to be cherished by the other person, wanting to be loved by the other person, these are all within the scope of reliance.
Why is that?
Because the other person is your lover, your partner; you will spend the rest of your lives together, and they have already permeated every aspect of your life.
Shen Ningruo never experienced this before; she could always handle things calmly on her own. It wasn’t until she met Qiu Yang that she realized she could also rely on others. She would hope Qiu Yang could be by her side when she was sick, and she would tell Qiu Yang everything when she was sad or lost.
What’s more, Qiu Yang isn’t just anyone now.
Yue Chu turned her head to look at Qiu Yang singing in front. Her eyelashes fluttered, and then she chuckled, “Yes, who can’t see that?”
Shen Ningruo didn’t say anything more, her gaze fixed on Qiu Yang. Qiu Yang was off-key when she sang, but she listened a lot. Now, Qiu Yang was singing a slow-paced love song, not a sad one, but one that gently recounted the sweetness of love.
Shen Ningruo knew Qiu Yang was singing it for her. Her eyes immediately curved into a smile, and then she said to Yue Chu, “I know Xiao Yang is like a sister to you, and you care about her a lot. You want to see her happy and content, and I can make sure of that.”
“Okay.”
“As for me, I just don’t want to see her wronged.”
Yao Yao returned at this moment. Before she even got close, she sensed the slightly stiff atmosphere between Shen Ningruo and Yue Chu. She didn’t rush forward but went to Qiu Yang’s side first and asked curiously, “What’s going on?”
“I don’t know,” Qiu Yang replied softly, taking down the microphone.
Yao Yao withdrew her gaze. “I can sing this one too. I’ll join you.”
She changed the subject, bending down to pick up another microphone.
This KTV’s soundproofing was excellent; unlike typical KTVs, you couldn’t hear people singing in other rooms from this one. Qiu Yang and Yao Yao had very different voices. As they sang section by section, it made Shen Ningruo and Yue Chu’s silence even more noticeable.
Yue Chu was standing from the perspective of Qiu Yang’s family. She wasn’t being a traitor or trying to cause trouble; she just came to see Shen Ningruo’s attitude. If Shen Ningruo were to blame Qiu Yang for Le Yu’s message and paying the bill, then she would have pulled Qiu Yang away without hesitation.
A person’s character can be seen from all aspects. Yue Chu and Shen Ningruo weren’t familiar before, and they were still relatively strangers now, but with Shen Ningruo having the added identity of “Qiu Yang’s lover,” everything was significantly different.
Fortunately, Shen Ningruo wasn’t angry with Qiu Yang.
Yue Chu waited until it was her turn for the next song and stood up. Qiu Yang had already put down the microphone early. She walked over to Shen Ningruo’s side and, seeing Shen Ningruo’s serious expression, couldn’t help but worry, “Did my sister say something?”
“Nothing,” Shen Ningruo replied, then felt this answer might make Qiu Yang overthink and added, “She just said Le Yu used to take good care of you.”
Qiu Yang sat down. Without even needing to recall, she answered naturally, “Yes, she took very good care of me. She was a senior who was very kind to me. It’s just that later she got busy with her career, and we contacted each other much less.”
Shen Ningruo’s eyebrow twitched again upon hearing this. She couldn’t help but become curious, “Then, based on what you’re saying, quite a few people liked you, and there were quite a few excellent people who were good to you, right? How did you end up choosing Tao Sixian?”
Qiu Yang: “…”
Qiu Yang: “I don’t know.”
Qiu Yang then thought back carefully: “Maybe the lighting in the bar that night had an illusory effect, which made me think she was wonderful.”
Yao Yao suddenly switched the song to “The Boatman’s Love.” The moment the intro started, both Qiu Yang and Shen Ningruo flinched. Both were speechless, then looked at each other and burst out laughing.
When they came out of the KTV, it was just past 10:30 PM, not very late.
Qiu Yang chose to drive tonight, while Shen Ningruo sat in the passenger seat. They talked about many things from their student days along the way.
Shen Ningruo felt her student days were a bit distant; she had graduated six or seven years ago, but she could still recall some scattered memories and shared them.
It must be said that moments like these were very pleasant. When they talked about interesting things, they both laughed.
It felt like this road had no end, and it would be nice if they could continue like this forever.
But what was meant to come would come sooner or later.
Considering it was getting late, Shen Ningruo straightforwardly suggested they shower together. Qiu Yang had no objection. While she went to get her pajamas, she saw Shen Ningruo carrying a chair into the bathroom.
Qiu Yang was a bit stunned, her eyes wide open. Besides the sound of water, the only thing she heard was Shen Ningruo’s gentle voice: “Baby, sit down.”
Shen Ningruo added, “The hot water will warm up the chair, so you won’t feel cold.”
Qiu Yang couldn’t help but swallow. A picture had already formed in her mind, and she suddenly understood Shen Ningruo’s intention.
It just combined with the “punishment” she had planned for Shen Ningruo earlier.
Qiu Yang’s legs went weak first. Looking at Shen Ningruo’s expression, she felt as if she had fallen into a devil’s grasp. But it was too late to escape now. She could only put her pajamas aside and slowly walk towards Shen Ningruo.
The shower was still running, quickly covering the cubicle with a layer of steam. They hadn’t had time to take off their clothes yet, but they weren’t standing directly under the water, but off to the side.
Shen Ningruo’s eyebrows were slightly raised, and the smile at the corner of her lips was evident. She raised her hand, first lifting Qiu Yang’s chin, then slowly unbuttoning Qiu Yang’s shirt. As each button was undone one by one, her smile slowly deepened.
Qiu Yang was wearing a shirt today. Once it was off, only her underwear remained underneath.
It was a soft pink, which didn’t look so obvious under the bathroom heater, but it didn’t matter; Shen Ningruo still found it very cute.
“Xiao Yang…” Shen Ningruo’s hand moved to the back, and she was trying to unhook it with one hand.
Her gaze fell on Qiu Yang’s eyes. After meeting her gaze for a few seconds, it slowly moved downwards.
Soon, she withdrew her hand and simultaneously pulled off the underwear.
Qiu Yang bit her lip. She felt this process was a bit tormenting. She couldn’t resist Shen Ningruo’s gaze at all; it felt like she could see her own reflection in them.
And in fact, not long after, she did see her reflection in Shen Ningruo’s eyes. There was no barrier between them; they were so close.
The falling hot water scattered into many droplets from the showerhead. Qiu Yang’s arms wrapped around Shen Ningruo’s shoulders instead, resting her head on Shen Ningruo’s shoulder.
She felt hot everywhere now, but there was one place that could be described as “burning.” Shen Ningruo held her tightly, as if they were playing a game.
It’s worth mentioning that she preferred the game mode of standing one moment and sitting the next, and she put in even more effort.
Pingzi was on the climbing frame outside. It heard the sounds coming from inside the bathroom, but it had learned its lesson now. It knew these weren’t sounds of suffering, although it still didn’t understand exactly what they were from.
But as long as it didn’t scratch at the door, it was fine. And it happened to be sleepy now.
Qiu Yang was held by Shen Ningruo as they came out of the bathroom. All the strength had been drained from her body, and her voice was a little hoarse. As she passed the living room, she glanced towards Pingzi and saw her cat completely unaffected, sleeping soundly.
Shen Ningruo caught her gaze and chuckled, “Were you hoping Pangpang would save you?”
“Well, it’s too late now.”
Qiu Yang glared at her, but only received a more unrestrained laugh from Shen Ningruo. Pingzi’s ears twitched at this moment, clearly disturbed by the noise.
Back in the bedroom, things quieted down. Shen Ningruo held Qiu Yang and closed her eyes.
This sleep wasn’t very good. Shen Ningruo had a dream in the middle of the night. It wasn’t a good dream or a nightmare, but she remembered it clearly the moment she woke up.
“I dreamed I had a lot of love rivals, and they were lining up to fight me,” Shen Ningruo said to the just-woken Qiu Yang the moment she opened her eyes, recounting her dream.
“Did you win?” Qiu Yang turned her head and asked with a smile.
Shen Ningruo nodded, “Yes, I did.”
Qiu Yang leaned closer, stroked her head, and said like she was coaxing a child, “Then you’re very strong.”
Shen Ningruo pulled her hand down and placed it against her own face. “Today, I’ll go fight the first one.”
She was referring to Le Yu.
Qiu Yang’s eyes curved into a smile upon hearing this. “Okay, got it. I’ll get up and make some porridge first. After we eat, we’ll move.”
They still had to move things to Shen Ningruo’s place today.
Qiu Yang had packed everything they needed to move. It wasn’t heavy, just a lot of stuff. Miao Yi even came over to help.
“Thank you, helpful neighbor,” Qiu Yang said with a smile, handing Miao Yi a bottle of water. They had just finished filling a part of Shen Ningruo’s trunk with some items.
They didn’t call a moving company. Based on the amount, it would take two trips.
Miao Yi was panting beside her, taking the water Qiu Yang handed over. “Your helpful neighbor is going to miss you.”
Shen Ningruo came out carrying a plate of fruit she had just washed and cut. Hearing Miao Yi’s words, she immediately said, “You can come visit often in the future.”
“I will.”
“Pingzi will definitely miss me too.”
Miao Yi said, picking up Pingzi who was passing by, and stroked it a couple of times, sighing inwardly but not showing it much on the surface.
Miao Yi, as Qiu Yang’s friend, was very happy that Qiu Yang could move on from her breakup so quickly and be in such a harmonious relationship with Shen Ningruo. Today was definitely not a day for sadness.
The first trip was finished quickly, and the second trip didn’t take long either.
Pingzi arrived in the unfamiliar environment without any sign of fear. It even ran to the luxurious cat climbing frame Shen Ningruo bought for it and started its talent show, climbing to the top one moment and squeezing through holes the next, so lively it didn’t seem like a fat cat.
Qiu Yang: “…”
Shen Ningruo’s eyes curved into crescents. “The money wasn’t wasted.”
The sunlight was shining in perfectly now, making Pingzi feel even more comfortable. Eventually, it just lay on top, basking in the sun with its belly facing up.
Qiu Yang wanted to go over and pet it, but her phone happened to ring.
It was a call from Le Yu.
“Senior Le Yu,” Qiu Yang said, glancing at Shen Ningruo’s expression before addressing the caller.
Le Yu’s voice was smiling, “Xiao Qiu Yang, where are you? How about we go for a walk first before getting something to eat?”
Hey there, You have done a great job. I will definitely digg it and personally suggest to my friends. I’m confident they’ll be benefited from this web site.
There are definitely loads of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great level to carry up. I provide the thoughts above as general inspiration however clearly there are questions just like the one you convey up where a very powerful thing will probably be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if finest practices have emerged around issues like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a good game. Both girls and boys really feel the impression of only a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
