After Shen Ningruo finished speaking, she paused, then lowered her gaze: “But I rely on her more.”

In a romantic relationship, reliance is important. For example, if you get hurt, the first person you think of is your partner – that’s a form of reliance.

Wanting to be cherished by the other person, wanting to be loved by the other person, these are all within the scope of reliance.

Why is that?

Because the other person is your lover, your partner; you will spend the rest of your lives together, and they have already permeated every aspect of your life.

This KTV’s soundproofing was excellent; unlike typical KTVs, you couldn’t hear people singing in other rooms from this one. Qiu Yang and Yao Yao had very different voices. As they sang section by section, it made Shen Ningruo and Yue Chu’s silence even more noticeable.

Yue Chu was standing from the perspective of Qiu Yang’s family. She wasn’t being a traitor or trying to cause trouble; she just came to see Shen Ningruo’s attitude. If Shen Ningruo were to blame Qiu Yang for Le Yu’s message and paying the bill, then she would have pulled Qiu Yang away without hesitation.

A person’s character can be seen from all aspects. Yue Chu and Shen Ningruo weren’t familiar before, and they were still relatively strangers now, but with Shen Ningruo having the added identity of “Qiu Yang’s lover,” everything was significantly different.

Shen Ningruo caught her gaze and chuckled, “Were you hoping Pangpang would save you?”

Back in the bedroom, things quieted down. Shen Ningruo held Qiu Yang and closed her eyes.

This sleep wasn’t very good. Shen Ningruo had a dream in the middle of the night. It wasn’t a good dream or a nightmare, but she remembered it clearly the moment she woke up.

“I dreamed I had a lot of love rivals, and they were lining up to fight me,” Shen Ningruo said to the just-woken Qiu Yang the moment she opened her eyes, recounting her dream.

“Did you win?” Qiu Yang turned her head and asked with a smile.

Shen Ningruo nodded, “Yes, I did.”

She was referring to Le Yu.

They still had to move things to Shen Ningruo’s place today.

Qiu Yang had packed everything they needed to move. It wasn’t heavy, just a lot of stuff. Miao Yi even came over to help.

“Thank you, helpful neighbor,” Qiu Yang said with a smile, handing Miao Yi a bottle of water. They had just finished filling a part of Shen Ningruo’s trunk with some items.

They didn’t call a moving company. Based on the amount, it would take two trips.

Miao Yi was panting beside her, taking the water Qiu Yang handed over. “Your helpful neighbor is going to miss you.”

Shen Ningruo came out carrying a plate of fruit she had just washed and cut. Hearing Miao Yi’s words, she immediately said, “You can come visit often in the future.”

“I will.”

“Pingzi will definitely miss me too.”

Miao Yi said, picking up Pingzi who was passing by, and stroked it a couple of times, sighing inwardly but not showing it much on the surface.

Miao Yi, as Qiu Yang’s friend, was very happy that Qiu Yang could move on from her breakup so quickly and be in such a harmonious relationship with Shen Ningruo. Today was definitely not a day for sadness.

The first trip was finished quickly, and the second trip didn’t take long either.

Pingzi arrived in the unfamiliar environment without any sign of fear. It even ran to the luxurious cat climbing frame Shen Ningruo bought for it and started its talent show, climbing to the top one moment and squeezing through holes the next, so lively it didn’t seem like a fat cat.

Qiu Yang: “…”

Shen Ningruo’s eyes curved into crescents. “The money wasn’t wasted.”

The sunlight was shining in perfectly now, making Pingzi feel even more comfortable. Eventually, it just lay on top, basking in the sun with its belly facing up.

Qiu Yang wanted to go over and pet it, but her phone happened to ring.

It was a call from Le Yu.

“Senior Le Yu,” Qiu Yang said, glancing at Shen Ningruo’s expression before addressing the caller.

Le Yu’s voice was smiling, “Xiao Qiu Yang, where are you? How about we go for a walk first before getting something to eat?”
