This was the best punishment Qiu Yang could think of—
Wanting to touch her body but being unable to, wasn’t that enough?
It was similar to a scab itching but being unable to scratch it, only letting it itch. This was also a form of torment, like ants gnawing away.
The only difference was that Qiu Yang would help Shen Ningruo; she wouldn’t let Shen Ningruo suffer. Her lips, her tongue, her fingertips, her knees, her thighs—they all came into play, initiating a feast for the night.
Shen Ningruo was very cooperative and obedient. Her wrists were tied together with a bra strap, fixed to the headboard. It wasn’t tied tightly; she could have broken free with a little force, but she didn’t want to. Thus, sounds of unbearable pleasure escaped her throat, reaching every corner of the room.
Qiu Yang still couldn’t resist kissing Shen Ningruo’s lips. Their breaths finally intertwined. In the current situation, it was impossible to maintain complete rationality anyway, so it was better to follow her heart.
Shen Ningruo’s mouth was covered, her tongue plundered, and she could only make single syllables with her nose.
After an unknown amount of time, Shen Ningruo’s body trembled several times before Qiu Yang finally let her go. She pulled up the blanket, untied her, and finally, as if in praise, kissed Shen Ningruo’s lips, chuckled softly, but said nothing.
Shen Ningruo knew this meant Qiu Yang was very satisfied with her performance.
“You…” Shen Ningruo flexed her wrists, rolled over, and hugged Qiu Yang. “Did you have fun?”
Qiu Yang was startled by the question, then hooked her arms around Shen Ningruo’s neck and answered truthfully, “Yes, I did.”
Especially when she heard Shen Ningruo begging her.
The bedside lamp still cast a warm orange glow. Shen Ningruo looked closely at Qiu Yang’s face, her gaze finally resting on Qiu Yang’s slightly parted lips. She remembered how this mouth had “tormented” her.
“Then…”
“I’ll make you even happier.”
As soon as Shen Ningruo finished speaking, she lowered her head.
It didn’t matter that they had work; they started early, so they still had plenty of time.
Pingzi slept outside all night and wasn’t very enthusiastic when he heard the door open in the morning.
He was having a little tantrum.
Shen Ningruo walked over and rubbed his head. “Our Pangpang is so good.”
Pingzi ignored her. As soon as she got close, he smelled Qiu Yang’s scent.
Pingzi: …
Forget it, can’t mess with her.
Qiu Yang came out of the room and urged, “Why aren’t you getting ready yet?”
Shen Ningruo stroked Pingzi’s chin again and started shifting the blame. “Pangpang wants me to play with him for a bit.”
Qiu Yang didn’t expose her, just smiled. “Then I’ll get ready first.”
“Okay.”
Shen Ningruo watched Qiu Yang go into the bathroom, then started staring at Pingzi again. She still remembered being looked down upon by Pingzi last night, but now Qiu Yang was getting ready, and no one was protecting Pingzi.
Shen Ningruo felt like a bad person, so petty.
But in reality, she wouldn’t do anything to Pingzi. She even scratched Pingzi’s chin until she heard him purring, indicating he was very comfortable.
Shen Ningruo’s lips curved up, and her good mood lasted until she entered the company, where she slightly reined it in.
After the morning meeting, Shen Ningruo was called to the general manager’s office by his secretary.
The general manager of Qiyao Company was named Qin Yu. He was only two or three years older than Shen Ningruo and could be considered young and accomplished. Because he had a good physique, was good-looking, and was still single, he was a sought-after person in Yuncheng’s upper circles.
He wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, which added a touch of composure to his demeanor.
“President Qin.” Shen Ningruo sat down on the sofa opposite him, unsure why Qin Yu had called her to the office.
Qin Yu adjusted his glasses. He usually wasn’t in Yuncheng but in Jingcheng/Beijing, and this was a rare visit back.
“There’s a reception tonight. You’ll represent the company,” Qin Yu informed Shen Ningruo directly, not asking for her opinion. “I have a flight to Jingcheng/Beijing this afternoon.”
Shen Ningruo wasn’t surprised at all; similar things had happened more than once.
Qin Yu was the older brother from next door whom she had known since childhood. Later, when Qin Yu started his business, Shen Ningruo provided some assistance. After graduation, she was directly recruited by Qiyao and had been there for seven years, rising from a small employee to the company’s director.
This was another reason why people at Qiyao Company didn’t dare to provoke Shen Ningruo. Who would dare?
Going against Shen Ningruo was going against President Qin.
“President Qin.” Shen Ningruo sighed, smiling somewhat helplessly. “Not tonight, I have other plans.”
Qin Yu was a little surprised. He twirled the ring on his middle finger and chuckled, “Don’t tell me you’re going on a date?”
“I heard you broke up with that boyfriend of yours,” he said with a look that suggested he knew nothing.
Shen Ningruo raised an eyebrow. “So what if we broke up? Can’t I date again?”
Qin Yu had initially said it as a joke, but hearing Shen Ningruo’s tone and seeing her expression, he was unexpectedly taken aback. “Really? Don’t kid me.”
Shen Ningruo became serious and changed her form of address for Qin Yu. “Brother.”
“My situation this time is different from before. Please send someone else from the company to the reception tonight. I need to go back and coax someone.”
In front of Qin Yu, Shen Ningruo was more genuine, not wearing a mask.
This was the brother she had trusted for many years, and their friendship had withstood the test of time.
After Yao Yao took on the family burden, she had also wanted Shen Ningruo to come and help. Shen Ningruo did help a little, but she continued to stay at Qiyao. The reason was simple: after the Shen family fell, the Qin family was the first to offer help.
Shen Ningruo wanted to repay this debt.
Qin Yu’s expression became more incredulous. “What kind of pretty boy needs you to coax him?”
“It’s a younger sister.”
“Three years younger than me.”
Qin Yu, who was just raising his cup to drink water, almost choked. He put down the cup and stared directly at Shen Ningruo, his expression changing repeatedly. Finally, he asked somewhat uncertainly, “Did I hear that right?”
“No.”
“Then…”
“Then you really should go and coax her properly.”
Shen Ningruo’s eyes curved into a smile. “Brother, your attitude changed a bit too quickly.”
Qin Yu shook his head. “No, you need to give me some time to process this. I haven’t been back for a while, how did your sexual orientation change?”
“I met someone, it’s that simple.”
Qin Yu looked at her serious expression and nodded in agreement. “That’s true.”
“So, back to the point, President Qin, I really can’t go to the reception tonight.”
“Alright, I understand. You need to go back and coax someone.” Qin Yu waved his hand, pretending to be annoyed. “Then you’re no use to me. Go on.”
Shen Ningruo didn’t stand on ceremony. She stood up, said thank you, and left.
Qin Yu watched the office door close and twirled his ring again. He didn’t know if this was good or bad for Shen Ningruo. If Uncle Shen knew, maybe…
Shen Ningruo knew Qin Yu would definitely worry about this. After walking a few steps, she turned back and said to a slightly surprised Qin Yu, “As for my dad, I don’t plan to let him know for now. But you don’t need to worry about this, Brother, because I’ve already talked to him.”
“He won’t interfere with my matters anymore.”
Qin Yu felt a little relieved. “Alright.”
He showed a bright smile. “That’s good. Go have a good relationship.”
Shen Ningruo hummed in agreement and left the general manager’s office again. Her smile faded, and she put away any extra thoughts, focusing on her work.
Qiu Yang was “tormented” by Shen Ningruo in return last night and woke up with a sore back today. Sitting at work for a long time made it even more sore.
It seemed she needed to improve her physical fitness.
So, at noon, Qiu Yang messaged Shen Ningruo about swimming. Since being taken to the swimming pool by Shen Ningruo last time, Qiu Yang no longer found water so terrifying.
Shen Ningruo said she could take her to the swimming pool tonight.
Qiu Yang thought about it and agreed.
Lao Yu still came to pick her up from work. She went home, fed the cat first, then got back in the car and went to Qiyao’s underground parking lot to wait for Shen Ningruo to finish work.
After work, Shen Ningruo went straight to the back seat and said to Lao Yu, “Uncle Yu, let’s go. Let’s eat first.”
“Okay, Miss.”
In front of Lao Yu, Shen Ningruo took Qiu Yang’s hand and gently squeezed it.
Qiu Yang was a little shy and uncomfortable and wanted to pull her hand back, but Shen Ningruo didn’t let go, so she stopped struggling.
“Originally, there was a reception tonight, and our boss asked me to represent the company,” Shen Ningruo smiled. “But I said I had other things to do, and he agreed.”
“Xiao Yang, guess what I’m busy with?”
The car had reached the road. The roads were congested during rush hour, and pedestrians on the street hurried along.
“How would I know?” Qiu Yang looked out the window, not answering, but the hand Shen Ningruo was still holding felt inexplicably warmer.
They couldn’t swim on an empty stomach. Neither of them had eaten since lunch, so they had to eat before going to the swimming pool.
Lao Yu now had a pair of adorable grandchildren and it was almost time for him to go back and play with them, so Shen Ningruo let Lao Yu go home first. After dinner, she would drive Qiu Yang to the swimming pool herself.
The traffic eased up a bit. Qiu Yang sat in the passenger seat and thought of a question. “Ruoruo, do you have any plans for May Day?”
“It’s a five-day holiday this year.”
Shen Ningruo thought carefully. “No plans yet. Do you have any suggestions?”
“I…”
“I want to go to Xicheng/Xi City again.”
Shen Ningruo turned her head to look at Qiu Yang and chuckled softly. “Then should I go with you?”
“Mm.” Qiu Yang responded. “Okay.”
The smile in Shen Ningruo’s eyes continued. “By the way, you still haven’t answered my question.”
“What?”
“I asked you to guess what I was busy with, and you still haven’t answered.”
“I think you know the answer.”
Qiu Yang turned to look at Shen Ningruo’s exquisite profile, her lips moved, and she replied, “You’re busy swimming.”
“Mm-hmm, I’m busy swimming.”
“My Xiao Yang is so smart.”
Qiu Yang didn’t know Shen Ningruo was particularly excited tonight. She cleared her throat and hummed again.
Before long, the car stopped in the parking lot outside the swimming pool. Shen Ningruo and Qiu Yang walked in side by side.
There were still quite a few people coming to swim now, mostly those who had just finished work.
However, surprisingly, Qiu Yang saw a familiar figure.
It was Yue Chu.
And next to Yue Chu…
Yao Yao?
