PSMD – Chapter 82

But Qiu Yang was afraid she was mistaken. She was only familiar with Yue Chu, and had only met Yao Yao once. So she turned her head, looked at Shen Ningruo in confusion, and pointed in a direction: “Is that Sister Yao Yao?”

Shen Ningruo followed her gaze, but just missed seeing her; no one was standing there anymore.

“Didn’t see her,” Shen Ningruo replied. “It shouldn’t be her. She can’t swim. I invited her before, but she wouldn’t come, saying she’s a landlubber.”

Qiu Yang’s eyelashes fluttered, and she didn’t doubt it at all: “Then I must have been mistaken.”

However, she did recognize Yue Chu. Qiu Yang just didn’t know how to face Yue Chu now. Since saying those words by the moat last time, she hadn’t seen Yue Chu again.

Yue Chu had sent her a long message, which she hadn’t read carefully or taken in, but after she sobered up, she started to regret it.

What she said at the time was a bit harsh, completely disregarding Yue Chu’s feelings.

Especially since she was the one who had asked Yue Chu out, only to leave first in the end.

Qiu Yang now felt very rude, as if she had no manners at all. She felt guilty even when she didn’t see Yue Chu, let alone now that she had glimpsed her; the guilt deepened.

Shen Ningruo noticed Qiu Yang’s distraction. She reached out and tucked a strand of hair behind Qiu Yang’s ear, asking with concern, “What’s wrong?”

“I…”

“I just saw my senior.”

Shen Ningruo frowned: “Is it the senior who you said you didn’t want to trouble me, and then you turned around and sent Pangpang to her place?”

“Yes,” Qiu Yang nodded.

They were currently in line, with about three people ahead of them.

Shen Ningruo smiled: “Then you should be happy to run into her, right? You’re close enough for her to help look after your cat.”

“But…”

“But I said something very harsh to her a few days ago.”

“A few days ago?” Shen Ningruo caught the key point.

Qiu Yang glanced at her: “Yes, the night before I got a fever. I went out to talk with her, got chilled by the wind by the river, and then got sick when I got back.”

“Thinking about it now, it wasn’t really a heart-to-heart talk, but me unilaterally venting negative energy. In the end, I even hurt my senior. I haven’t dared to see her since.”

She had definitely thought about apologizing to Yue Chu, but Qiu Yang didn’t know how to start. Moreover, Yue Chu seemed to have gotten busy with work, which made it even harder for Qiu Yang to know how to approach her.

Shen Ningruo understood instantly. She wanted to say something, but the three people ahead had finished their procedures. She had no choice but to hand over her premium membership card first. After the front desk attendant finished setting things up, she took the card and walked inside alongside Qiu Yang.

“Xiao Yang, don’t blame yourself too much. When people are in a negative state, it’s indeed easy to say hurtful things. I believe your senior can understand you.”

“Did she also send you messages to comfort you?”

The staff member walked ahead, leading them. Qiu Yang heard Shen Ningruo’s question and nodded without hesitation: “Yes.”

The long message Yue Chu sent was full of comfort and reassurance.

“See? That proves your senior didn’t take it to heart. She’s still thinking of you. Those words of yours, like arrows, missed their mark.”

“Or perhaps it’s precisely because she’s good to you and cares about you that those words didn’t actually hurt her. She knew your situation at the time. In my opinion, if you contact her now, she’ll definitely be relieved by your recovery.”

Qiu Yang listened quietly. After Shen Ningruo finished speaking, she hummed in agreement and tentatively said, “Then…”

“After we’re done, I’ll contact her.”

“Okay.”

As Shen Ningruo’s words fell, they arrived at the changing room. The staff member led them here and then left. Just like before, they chose swimsuits and gear, then left the changing room for the poolside.

Meeting Yue Chu here was unexpected. After Qiu Yang made up her mind, her mood wasn’t as heavy. Instead, she started to feel nervous about getting into the water.

Shen Ningruo led her through warm-up exercises, but her gaze shifted, and she could see the mark on the side of Qiu Yang’s neck that she had left last night. After all that time last night, she had only left this one mark.

This time it was exposed to the air, but if Qiu Yang let her hair down, it would be completely covered. However, Qiu Yang’s hair was now tied up in a bun, leaving her neck fully visible, everything on it clear to see.

Both the swimsuit and bottoms were tight, further outlining Qiu Yang’s figure.

Qiu Yang wasn’t short, around 1.67 meters, and had good proportions, making her legs look even longer and her appear tall and slender. The flesh on her limbs was quite evenly distributed, with smooth lines. From behind, she looked a bit thin, but from the side, you would feel that Qiu Yang’s body had flesh in all the right places.

At least, where there should be, there was definitely no less, and where there shouldn’t be, there was definitely no more.

Shen Ningruo cleared her throat, putting away her thoughts, and when Qiu Yang looked over, she had a serious expression: “Now let’s review the leg kicking movement I taught you last time. Today we’ll learn the arm movements.”

Qiu Yang nodded obediently: “Got it, Teacher Shen.”

“Teacher Shen?” Shen Ningruo savored the title, then chuckled softly, “Sounds quite nice.”

Qiu Yang: “…”

She didn’t know why, but she felt something was slightly off.

However, Shen Ningruo then focused solely on teaching Qiu Yang how to swim. She was dedicated and responsible, afraid that Qiu Yang might swallow even a mouthful of pool water.

They swam for two hours. By the time they finished, Qiu Yang could swim by herself without Shen Ningruo, though she still couldn’t do without the back float, otherwise she wouldn’t feel secure.

After getting out of the water, Shen Ningruo wrapped Qiu Yang in a bath towel: “You’re learning very quickly, Xiao Yang.”

“But next time you come, we won’t teach anything new yet. You need to practice this until you’re familiar with it.”

Qiu Yang wiped the water from her face and smiled at Shen Ningruo, changing her title again: “Got it, Coach Shen.”

“…”

“If you call me coach, I’ll charge you.”

“And a private coach is even more expensive.”

Qiu Yang looked at her with bright eyes: “How expensive is it?”

Shen Ningruo curved her lips, her tone cheerful: “We’ll decide how expensive the fee is tonight.”

But she was met with Qiu Yang’s retort: “It’s already night, Coach Shen.”

Indeed, the hour hand had already reached nine. It was almost completely dark when they arrived.

Shen Ningruo glanced around. There was no one else, but there was a surveillance camera. Still, she didn’t think too much of it. She raised her hand and pinched Qiu Yang’s cheek, feigning anger as she said, “Arguing with me again.”

Showering and changing took another half hour, so it was already 9:30 PM when they left the swimming pool.

The sky had completely darkened. Qiu Yang looked up at the black sky. Whether it was psychological or a real effect, her body did feel much more relaxed. Shen Ningruo’s car was parked further inside, so she told Qiu Yang to wait by the roadside and she’d be right back.

Qiu Yang took a deep breath during this time and turned her head to see Yue Chu again.

And this time, definitely Yao Yao.

Yue Chu and Yao Yao had already walked to a car. Yao Yao went to open the passenger door for Yue Chu. The door opened, Yue Chu got in, and Yao Yao bent down and leaned in, pecking her on the lips.

Qiu Yang thought she was seeing things. She rubbed her eyes and saw Yao Yao straighten up again, close the passenger door, walk around the front of the car to the driver’s seat, get in, and the car drove away within seconds.

Shen Ningruo’s car had already pulled up in front of Qiu Yang. Qiu Yang snapped back to reality, opened the passenger door, and got in.

“What’s wrong?” Shen Ningruo asked, seeing Qiu Yang was a bit distracted, as she drove out.

Qiu Yang mechanically fastened her seatbelt. Hearing Shen Ningruo’s concerned tone, she shook her head: “Nothing.”

Once the seatbelt was fastened, Qiu Yang turned her head to look at Shen Ningruo, her voice filled with unconcealed shock: “I just saw my senior again.”

“You saw her when you arrived, and you saw her when you left. Isn’t that normal?”

“Are you still thinking about before…”

“No,” Qiu Yang cut off Shen Ningruo. She knew what Shen Ningruo was going to say, but that wasn’t it. “And Sister Yao Yao, I saw her too.”

Shen Ningruo finally frowned: “Did Yao Yao really come?”

“And I also saw Sister Yao Yao kiss my senior,” Qiu Yang pursed her lips, still somewhat shocked by what she had witnessed.

Shen Ningruo: “…?”

Shen Ningruo: “Your senior wouldn’t happen to be Yue Chu, would she?”
