PSMD – Chapter 9

After opening her eyes, Shen Ningruo also took a while to fully wake up.

She could remember many things, but the most vivid memory was Qiu Yang’s breathing.

Restrained and suppressed.

It made her even more intoxicated.

Even in her dreams while asleep, the scenes were of her and Qiu Yang in bed.

The sun was bright, already streaming onto the sofa. The sofa was smooth, without wrinkles, showing no trace of anything.

Shen Ningruo stared at it for a moment, then went to take a shower.

While showering, Shen Ningruo looked at her body. Like the sofa, there were no marks. Everything from last night seemed to have been formatted away. Shen Ningruo lifted her head, letting the water pour over her.

Their relationship reaching this point was mostly her doing. If she hadn’t said those suggestive things before, Qiu Yang might not have had such thoughts.

They were both adults, and sleeping together wasn’t something to be overly precious about. But Shen Ningruo couldn’t help but feel a bit stifled—Qiu Yang left without even waking her. She said hello when she arrived, so why didn’t she say goodbye when she left?

The more Shen Ningruo thought about it, the angrier she got. She called Yao Yao, who quickly answered, “Ruoruo, your call is perfectly timed. A few minutes later and I’d be in a meeting.”

“I know.”

“I timed it.”

Yao Yao chuckled, “What’s up? Tell me.”

“I…” Even though Shen Ningruo had weathered many storms, she still found it a bit hard to say when confiding in her best friend.

How was she supposed to put it?

She, a straight woman, had slept with another girl.

Yao Yao lightly coughed, “So hesitant?”

“Alright, let me guess.”

“Go ahead and guess.” Shen Ningruo lowered her eyes, looking at the rattle drum on the coffee table. Qiu Yang’s obedient appearance popped into her mind.

“Did something happen between you and this younger sister?” Yao Yao hesitated before adding the second half, “Like, something about your relationship.”

Putting it together meant ‘something happened in your relationship’.

Shen Ningruo responded heavily, “Yes.”

“Wow, seriously.” Yao Yao sighed, “I want to sleep with a cute older sister too.”

Shen Ningruo: “Get lost.”

“Why are you being so fierce? You’re like a full person who doesn’t know how hungry a starving person is.”

“These days, men aren’t very reliable. Either they’re impotent or their technique is bad. You’ve met my ex-boyfriend; he looked so fierce on the surface, but he went soft in seconds.”

Shen Ningruo rubbed her forehead, “You’ve said that a thousand times.”

“Not enough.” Yao Yao’s tone shifted, “But you’re usually so cold towards intimacy, are you okay?”

“You’re the one who’s cold towards intimacy.” Shen Ningruo felt her best friend was even less reliable.

Yao Yao immediately clarified, “I’m not. As soon as someone kisses me, I go soft.”

“Let me make it clear, my ‘soft’ isn’t a man’s ‘soft’. It’s not the same kind of soft.”

Listening to her say “soft” repeatedly, Shen Ningruo felt almost brainwashed. Qiu Yang’s soft figure appeared before her eyes, even though she hadn’t seen anything last night.

“Alright, that’s enough.” Shen Ningruo couldn’t be bothered to continue chatting with Yao Yao. “Go to your meeting.”

“No rush.”

“So what are you going to do for the next six days?”

“Just let things be.”

“So you’re going to make love with her for six more days?” Yao Yao wailed, “I’m so jealous. I haven’t had sex in a month.”

Yao Yao always talked like this; Shen Ningruo was used to it. “Can you tone it down a bit?”

“Why should I tone it down with you?” The next second, Yao Yao said, “Ruoruo, you used to be so resistant to intimacy, but now you’ve slept with little sister Qiu…”

“Damn it, you weren’t secretly gay all along, were you?” Yao Yao finished, surprised.

Shen Ningruo didn’t answer and hung up the call. “Go have your meeting.”

After hanging up, Shen Ningruo fell into thought.

Yao Yao’s words echoed in her mind.

Six more days of making love?

Shen Ningruo felt completely lost.

Why wasn’t she resistant to being intimate with Qiu Yang?

Shen Ningruo was also a bit bewildered.

She came to Xicheng with Qiu Yang not for a fling, but the current situation was that she had willingly turned their relationship into a casual hookup.

While she was still thinking, there was a knock on the door. Shen Ningruo adjusted her mindset and went to open it.

Standing outside the door was Qiu Yang.

Qiu Yang looked calm, showing no sign of embarrassment upon seeing her. She simply handed her the porridge.

Shen Ningruo subconsciously used the new nickname she had for Qiu Yang: “Xiao Yang.”

“I thought you’d sleep and then run off.”

To be honest, if she could really continue sleeping with Qiu Yang for six days, it wouldn’t be so bad.

Frankly, last night’s experience was quite good.

How could one night be enough?

So this sentence was also a test. If Qiu Yang showed reluctance, then she would drop it.

Shen Ningruo never liked forcing others.

Qiu Yang raised her eyes, and her gaze met Shen Ningruo’s. When she said that, her eyes curved slightly. She wasn’t wearing makeup, but her bare face was still very beautiful.

“I wouldn’t.” Qiu Yang pursed her lips. “There are still six days.”

Being in the same tour group as Shen Ningruo, they would see each other again anyway. And if they were going to indulge, they might as well go all the way.

The curve in Shen Ningruo’s eyes became more pronounced. She hummed in agreement, her tone revealing pleasure. “You have a point.”

“Go eat.” Qiu Yang’s expression didn’t change, but her ears, hidden by her hair, had turned pink. She just couldn’t show it at all.

Shen Ningruo raised an eyebrow. “Okay.”

Qiu Yang turned to leave, but Shen Ningruo said, “Hey, wait.”

The next second, Qiu Yang was pulled into the room by Shen Ningruo.

The bag containing the porridge was placed on a cabinet nearby. Qiu Yang was pressed against the closed door by Shen Ningruo.

The door was cold. The weather here was nice, and Qiu Yang was dressed lightly. Her back against the door, Qiu Yang was chilled, making her more alert.

Shen Ningruo’s right hand was on the back of her head, to prevent her from hitting it.

“You haven’t told me what you think of the new nickname.” Shen Ningruo’s eyes were full of ambiguity. As she spoke, she brushed Qiu Yang’s hair away until her clear, cute ears were fully exposed.

They were already tinged with red.

Even cuter.

Shen Ningruo flicked her earlobe again.

Some people appeared calm on the surface, but their ears were very honest. Shen Ningruo laughed inwardly.

“It’s not great.” After Qiu Yang answered, her body trembled slightly from Shen Ningruo’s actions.

“I don’t want to call you by your name, it feels too distant.”

“Calling you Xiao Qiu? I’m not an elder. Calling you Xiao Yang? Don’t you think it sounds exactly like ‘xiǎo yàng’ (meaning ‘little sample’ or ‘you little punk’)? It feels a bit condescending.”

“So, of course, Xiao Yang is the most suitable.”

Qiu Yang’s eyelashes fluttered. “Whatever you want.”

Shen Ningruo savored the new nickname slowly. “Xiao Yang…”

Hearing it, Qiu Yang’s heart beat even more erratically.

There wasn’t much light last night, so she didn’t feel anything particular. But now the sky was bright, and the sunlight streamed directly in, allowing her to see every expression and movement of the other person clearly.

Shen Ningruo’s gaze fell on the area under Qiu Yang’s eyes, where there were faint dark circles. She raised her hand to stroke it. “Why are your dark circles so heavy?”

Qiu Yang didn’t answer. She furrowed her brows. “I need to go back to my room and catch up on sleep.”

The implication was that Shen Ningruo should let her go.

Shen Ningruo agreed verbally, “Okay.”

But her fingertip rubbed Qiu Yang’s earlobe, and she leaned forward, pressing a kiss on the corner of Qiu Yang’s lips. Then she asked, “Want to sleep here?”

“…No need.” As soon as Qiu Yang opened her mouth, Shen Ningruo kissed her. The hand that had been touching her earlobe moved, resting on her waist.

Footsteps passed by in the hallway, accompanied by the sound of cheerful chatting and laughter.

No one knew that behind this door, two women were kissing.

After last night’s practice, both of their kissing skills had improved.

Qiu Yang’s palm, which had been pressed against the door, slowly moved to Shen Ningruo’s back. As the kiss deepened and became more intoxicating, her palm didn’t stay in one place either.

Shen Ningruo suddenly understood why her first love boyfriend had that expression when she caught him kissing that girl.

It was indeed a beautiful thing.

But the most important thing was who you were doing it with. So far, Shen Ningruo only felt that doing such things with Qiu Yang would be very good.

Qiu Yang’s lips and tongue were very soft, with a hint of sweetness. Her getting addicted really wasn’t her fault at all.

It was all Qiu Yang’s problem.

“Xiao Shen.” The door was knocked on at that moment. It was clearly Wu Xiaoqiong’s voice.

The two of them snapped back to reality, immediately opening their eyes. But they were too close to see anything clearly.

Qiu Yang let out a soft sound, but Shen Ningruo still had no intention of letting go. She held her face, deepening the kiss.

Wu Xiaoqiong outside the door knocked again. “Xiao Shen, are you there?”

Qiu Yang’s palm was already against Shen Ningruo’s shoulder. She pushed her forward.

Seeing her look a bit flustered, Shen Ningruo chuckled softly.

Qiu Yang’s throat moved. She tried hard to calm herself, but Shen Ningruo’s gaze was still somewhat burning. She pursed her moist lips before lowering her voice. “Open the door.”

Shen Ningruo’s lips were also the same shade of pink and moist. She raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure I’m in a state to see people right now?”

Just as Qiu Yang was about to answer, there was another call from outside. “Xiao Shen, are you there?”

Only then did Shen Ningruo pull Qiu Yang behind the door. She unlocked the doorknob, opening it a crack. “Auntie Qiong, what is it?”

“Mingfen and I want to film a Douyin video,” Wu Xiaoqiong said with a smile. “But we don’t trust anyone else’s filming skills. Xiao Qiu seems to be feeling unwell today; she sent us a WeChat message, so we didn’t want to bother her.”

“Ah? What’s wrong with her?” Shen Ningruo looked a bit surprised.

Wu Xiaoqiong shook her head. “She didn’t say, but thinking about how Xiao Qiu just broke up, maybe she’s just not in the mood. It’s understandable.”

“When you’re young, loving someone is always passionate and intense,” Wu Xiaoqiong said with the tone of someone who had been through it.

Shen Ningruo agreed. “Auntie Qiong, I’ll eat breakfast first, then I’ll come help you film.”

“Alright.”

“Then eat quickly.”

“Are you going out?”

“No need.” Shen Ningruo paused, her eyes curving into a smile. “A kind person brought me some porridge.”

Wu Xiaoqiong nodded repeatedly. “Porridge is good.”

After chatting for a couple more sentences, Wu Xiaoqiong left. Shen Ningruo closed the door again.

Qiu Yang stood nearby, having heard the entire conversation between Shen Ningruo and Wu Xiaoqiong. But there wasn’t a ripple in her heart.

She just thought Shen Ningruo’s acting was pretty good.

She was clearly right there, yet Shen Ningruo had to pretend she knew nothing.

Shen Ningruo raised an eyebrow and looked at her, but didn’t speak.

Qiu Yang stood very straight. “I’m going back.”

“The tour guide said we’re leaving for the scenic spot at 10:30. Are you not going either?”

“No.”

“Okay.” Shen Ningruo cleared her throat. “I’m not going either.”

“Yesterday was my room, today it should be your room.”
