PTCQT Chapter 15

Cold and Aloof Campus Prince 15

The speech event was a promotional and educational activity centered around the theme of “red.” In the past, many people had participated, but none of those occasions could compare to this time—because… Shen Chun was the host.

“Senior Du…” Shen Chun said with a touch of helplessness.

“Help me out just this once, I’m begging you. Otherwise, with this kind of speech event, everyone’s guaranteed to fall asleep in perfect unison!” Du Xin clasped his hands together in a pleading gesture, looking utterly pitiful. “Once it’s over, I’ll treat you to a meal. As for Lu Tao, I’ll have him assign you an easier job. Junior…”

“I don’t really mind,” Shen Chun said. Hosting an event was no big deal—just a matter of spending a little time. But last time he hosted, the president got ridiculously jealous. If it happened again, he might just overturn an entire sea of vinegar. “But my partner might get jealous.”

“You have a partner? Since when? Who is it, what’s their name, what do they look like?” Du Xin fired off a barrage of questions, then looked solemn and said, “It’s probably best not to go public with your relationship just yet. Otherwise, your girlfriend might get completely investigated by others.”

“Thank you, Senior. I’ll make sure to protect him,” Shen Chun replied with a smile.

“You actually managed to fall in love, huh? I can’t even imagine how many girls are going to be heartbroken over this,” Du Xin sighed.

The dorm room door opened from the inside. Xie Baiyuan looked at Du Xin with a blank expression, then pulled Shen Chun in and shut the door right in Du Xin’s face.

Thud! A loud, resounding bang.

“Hey, President!” Du Xin called out, thoroughly confused but somehow sensing that the president seemed a little… upset. “What’s going on here?”

Xie Baiyuan opened the door again, looked straight at Du Xin, and said, “Don’t keep bossing Shen Chun around just because he’s reliable. You’re not allowed to take advantage of him anymore.”

The door shut again.

Du Xin rubbed his nose and muttered, “I wasn’t. It’s clearly mutual help, okay?”

Building good relationships now could be a huge asset down the line. After all, people who graduate from A University usually go far—most of them are like gold. Even if Shen Chun was a rich second-generation kid, there were times when he might still need a hand from someone like him.

“There’s no need. I’ll take him myself,” Xie Baiyuan’s voice came from inside the room.

Du Xin: “……”

Since when did the president get so close to him?

After Du Xin left, Shen Chun set down his shoulder bag and chuckled. “President, I’m innocent. Senior Du roped me in without even asking first—I couldn’t do anything about it.”

“There won’t be a next time,” Xie Baiyuan said, looking straight at him.

Of course, he knew it wasn’t Shen Chun’s fault. Even though Shen Chun seemed flashy on the surface, he never said anything flirtatious to others beyond the basics of social courtesy. And yet, just that much—just being polite—was enough to make so many people like him.

“Is everything going smoothly over at the Organization Department?” Xie Baiyuan asked.

“No issues. Once this task is done, it’ll be someone else’s show. I’m just helping out for now,” Shen Chun replied.

Xie Baiyuan gave a soft hum in response.

Shen Chun smiled and leaned in. “Still jealous?”

“I’m not actually that easy to get jealous,” Xie Baiyuan said stubbornly.

Shen Chun didn’t argue—he simply smiled and said, “If you’re really that worried, we can make our relationship public.”

“No need. Not yet,” Xie Baiyuan refused. “If we go public now, it could affect you in a bad way.”

He was already in his third year, and had secured a position with a company in his field—he’d be leaving campus soon. But Shen Chun was still living here. He had the ability to take on the role of student council president, and with that title came a certain prestige. It would only benefit his future, not hurt it.

But if their relationship were made public, even though many people were accepting of same-sex relationships, there would still be those who looked at Shen Chun differently. And that could potentially create obstacles for him later on.

“Alright,” Shen Chun said, understanding his concerns.

Even though he personally didn’t think it was a big deal—if he truly wanted that position, it would be his for the taking—but there was no need to make his partner worry.

As a man, once you’re in a relationship, you have to take responsibility.

“Mm.” Xie Baiyuan finally felt at ease. Though a faint heaviness lingered in his heart, the future still looked bright. His family wouldn’t be a problem, and once they both graduated and had financial independence—free from anyone’s interference—there would be no reason to hide. They could make it public then. There was no rush.

“But I already told Senior Du I’m seeing someone,” Shen Chun said.

Xie Baiyuan turned to him, momentarily stunned. Shen Chun lifted his hand slightly and smiled. “I’ll just wear a ring. Someone who’s already taken shouldn’t attract that much attention, right?”

That was true. Once Shen Chun had a partner, even though many people would still like him, he would definitely tone it down a lot. The look in Xie Baiyuan’s eyes softened. “Then let’s go pick out a pair.”

“Okay.” Shen Chun yawned, looped his arm around Xie Baiyuan’s waist, and lay back on the bed. “We can talk about the rings later. Senior, stay and nap with me.”

Xie Baiyuan had thought Shen Chun might have something else in mind, but at those words, he froze for a moment, letting Shen Chun cuddle up and rest his head against his chest. “Tired?”

“Mm,” Shen Chun’s nose brushed against Xie Baiyuan’s ear, his voice already tinged with sleepiness. “There were too many people… I’ve been talking all morning.”

“Then take a rest,” Xie Baiyuan said softly, shifting his body slightly to face him and gently patting his back.

A smile tugged at the corner of Shen Chun’s lips. “President, are you trying to soothe a child?”

“Aren’t you a child?” Xie Baiyuan murmured, running his hand lightly down his back.

He was the one who liked him first, and he was older. No matter how mature Shen Chun acted, Xie Baiyuan still wanted to take care of him, to spoil him.

“So, President, when will the child graduate?” Shen Chun shifted slightly, moving closer, his voice soft.

Between adults in a relationship, intimacy often goes beyond just kisses—especially when they’ve promised each other forever, feelings naturally run deeper.

Xie Baiyuan thought Shen Chun might be reluctant because of his age. But now, Shen Chun was the one taking the initiative, quietly asking, “If you want to be with me… will you have any regrets?”

Shen Chun half-closed his eyes and hugged Xie Baiyuan tightly. “Of course I won’t regret it. I’ve wanted to hold you for a long time.”

It was as if a massive lightning bolt struck Xie Baiyuan’s mind—his previously muddled thoughts suddenly clearing up. “You want to be on top?! But aren’t you usually the bottom?”

Shen Chun opened his eyes and sighed helplessly. “President, where exactly did I ever give you the impression that I’m the bottom?”

Xie Baiyuan: “……”

Right, the extremely forward kisses, the strong, confident body, and all those assertive demands—everything that had felt off to him before was simply because Shen Chun was a “top”!

But the young man was undeniably handsome, with a playful nature, and around him, there was always a hint of coquettishness. It was only natural for Xie Baiyuan to get confused. Still, he never imagined himself as the “bottom.”

Matching types like this was something peculiar to their circle. Xie Baiyuan knew a bit about it—not deeply, but enough to understand that “zeros” were more common. Usually, it was two zeros together, with all the tearful “tops” he’d heard about. But with Shen Chun, it was the opposite.

But even so, he didn’t want to let go of this person’s hand.

Shen Chun’s breathing grew slow and steady, his sleep light and carefree. Xie Baiyuan looked at his sleeping face and sighed softly, kissing his lips that curled slightly even in sleep. “Fine,” he murmured.

If he wanted to be on top, then so be it. It was just that Xie Baiyuan had once looked up all those warnings about hurting him—and applying them to himself, it still felt a little off.

One person’s sleepiness often easily spreads to another. Amidst the calm rhythm of Xie Baiyuan’s steady breathing, his eyes slowly closed. Beside him, Shen Chun gradually opened his eyes and smiled at him.

That “fine” was clear enough—being loved really did brighten one’s mood.

The speech contest was a great success. With Shen Chun as the host, the excitement was undeniable. But afterward, the ring on his hand made his own popularity leap to an even higher level.

His fingers were long and slender, nails neatly trimmed. Just a casual snap of those hands was enough to make people swoon—and now, with a ring on one of them, it was impossible to look away.

The platinum band was simple, without much decoration, but on those hands, it looked stunningly beautiful.

“Ring on the left middle finger—deep in a passionate relationship. Hands off, everyone! I don’t believe it!!!”

“How pretty does Shen Chun’s girlfriend have to be to match someone like him?”

“Our perfect, gorgeous big cabbage is just gone like that—and the most important thing is, we still don’t know what the pig looks like!”

“The pure-hearted boy has his first love—his heart’s dead, just bury it.”

“Usually, first loves don’t end well. Those who actually make it last are so rare.”

The effect of Shen Chun wearing the ring was undeniable. But when Xie Baiyuan saw those comments, a dull ache settled in his chest. The words weren’t wrong—Shen Chun was very young, and so was he. Youth meant infinite possibilities, some good, some bad. All he could do was try his best to steer things toward the good side.

Scrolling down and refreshing the page, Xie Baiyuan saw Shen Chun’s reply: “Then I’ll definitely be one of the rare few.”

Childish, impulsive, not as mature as usual—but it made Xie Baiyuan’s heart melt completely.

Shen Chun casually picked one of the comments to reply to. When he saw the post getting more likes below, he smiled. Xie Baiyuan would always see these things, and Shen Chun’s reply would definitely draw even more attention. It was a way to make their stance clear, to reassure others, and most importantly, to reduce misunderstandings and trouble for their relationship.

Although Shen Chun had never been in a relationship before, he had seen enough. People were always independent individuals; trying to blend them together inevitably caused friction and conflicts. Misunderstandings and blocked communication only made those frictions worse, sometimes even leading to a complete breakdown. For him, such situations were best avoided whenever possible. If a simple gesture or casual comment could help, why not do it?
