QHM Chapter 84 – Part 2

[mfn]TL: Part 2[/mfn]It had only been a month, yet this guy’s sharp tongue had suddenly become so terrifying? One comeback after another, leaving him no room to maneuver…

Chen Yu hadn’t come here to dig his own grave!

At first, when Yin didn’t kick him out immediately, he thought it meant the guy still had lingering feelings. If he just talked a bit, stirred up some emotions, he could ride the wave of drama, gain some clout, and—if everything went well—maybe even watch these two break up live.

But now… he had a bad feeling.

Yeah.

Technically, even if the God of Chuuni insisted on getting into the car, Xu Yin could’ve just left the instance with his Lao gong.

But he found this “Horror Chain” app quite interesting and wanted to keep playing. If the God of Chuuni failed this time, he’d probably try again later.

Even if it’s just a fly, buzzing around your ear nonstop is still annoying.

Might as well deal with it all at once.

The chat was growing more agitated.

“What’s with that tone?”

“God of Chuuni was the one being harassed back then! How can Yin talk to him like this?!”

“You’re the one who should apologize! Do you know how many rumors God of Chuuni had to suffer because of you? He’s trying to make peace, and you’re giving him this attitude?!”

So, Xu Yin spoke.

His voice was calm, soft, and gentle. When he took his time forming words, his tone became even sweeter.

Looking at the back of the God of Chuuni’s head, he asked slowly, “Why didn’t you come to my stream this afternoon? Come on, confess. What were you doing? If I don’t like your answer, I’ll be mad.”

Xu Yin’s voice was naturally pleasant to hear.

Paired with that playful, almost pouty questioning, the effect was strangely intoxicating.

He wasn’t deliberately acting cute, but at that moment, countless listeners felt an inexplicable tingling sensation run down their spines.

Yan Shixiu froze.

Chen Yu, in the driver’s seat, also blanked out.

And the chat?

It went wild—before the God of Chuuni’s fans, in particular, snapped back to reality.

“…You still like the God of Chuuni, don’t you?!!”

“You think you’re flirting with your boyfriend?!”

“WHAT KIND OF TONE IS THIS?!”

Then someone hesitated.

“Wait… isn’t this what the God of Chuuni said to Yin in those old screenshots?”

Silence.

Then, one by one, the realization dawned.

“…Yeah, this is exactly what he said back then.”

“Wait a second. His stans are freaking out now, but didn’t they insist at the time that this was just normal ‘brotherly’ banter?”

“Right?! LMAO why is it ‘flirting with a boyfriend’ when Yin says it, but ‘just normal friendship’ when the God of Chuuni did?”

“It’s not like Yin exaggerated the tone or anything. He just read it out loud.”

Chen Yu stiffened.

And behind their screens, the God of Chuuni’s fans also froze.

Then Xu Yin turned to Yan Shixiu.

Yan Shixiu, still dazed, looked back at him.

Xu Yin raised an eyebrow and teasingly said, “Baby, now I’m mad. How are you going to make it up to me?”

If the first line had already sent shivers down people’s spines—

This one completely fried their brains.

The word “baby” left Yan Shixiu’s ears instantly red. He blinked… then, without thinking, reached for the task bar.

Xu Yin pressed down on his hand.

The chat exploded again.

“He’s trying to make Flower God spend money on him!!”

“Flower God almost got tricked into dropping another aircraft carrier, didn’t he?!”

“Too much!!”

“This is exactly how he got Flower God to throw four aircraft carriers at him, isn’t it?!”

And then a reminder:

“Uh… This is also from the old screenshots. God of Chuuni said this to Yin.”

Silence.

“Do his fans have memory issues?”

“Uhhh, weren’t y’all the ones who swore back then that God of Chuuni didn’t mean it that way’?”

“Now that Yin’s saying it, suddenly you all get that it sounds like coaxing someone into spending money?”

“Double standards much? So, when your idol says it, it doesn’t mean anything,’ huh?”

Once again, silence.

Chen Yu stiffened. His fans stiffened.

The sheer weight of the mockery felt like slap after slap landing on their faces, turning them red with frustration.

Some of them even started panicking.

Because… when God of Chuuni had sent those messages back then, yeah, they’d been kind of flirty. But he’d said he didn’t mean it that way! And he always acted goofy in his streams, so after a while, they’d convinced themselves it was all harmless.

But hearing Xu Yin repeat those same words now…

It suddenly sounded—

It sounded really—

Xu Yin wasn’t done.

Still holding Yan Shixiu’s hand, he smiled slightly.

“Ah, got the money. Baby, you’re the best. The absolute best.”

Yan Shixiu: “……”

Still completely blanked out.

Then, once again, he reached for the task bar—only for Xu Yin to firmly hold him down.

Xu Yin continued smoothly, voice as gentle as ever.

“Baby, wouldn’t it be nice to be my top-ranking fan? That way, every time I check the leaderboard, yours will be the first name I see.”

“You didn’t come to my stream today. I’m upset. Oh? You were in class? Really? Just class?”

“I kind of miss you.”

“Baby, I’m not happy today.”

“Got the red envelope. You’re really good at cheering me up.”

Flirtatious words, one after another…

Faced with the undeniable WeChat screenshots from back then, the fans of the God of Chuuni refused to admit how ambiguous these conversations were.

They clung desperately to the fact that the God of Chuuni never admitted to being in a relationship with Yin, using it as a basis to accuse the Angelic Prince of deluding himself!

But what was the reality?

Those messages the God of Chuuni sent on WeChat… Who the hell would say those things without a thick skin???

Forget about Yan Shixiu, who had already turned as stiff as a wooden plank, frozen in place. At this moment, even many of the God of Chuuni own fans were left dazed, staring blankly as Xu Yin read those words in his soft and gentle voice!

Chen Yu was completely cracking apart.

He was stunned.

Back then, he had been able to manipulate his fans into unwavering loyalty because, in his mind, words were just something you could play with.

Those few lines—if he firmly stated that he didn’t mean it that way, would his fans really insist otherwise?

But reading them out loud was different…

Once spoken, the atmosphere created by those words became tangible, undeniable…

Chen Yu had never imagined that Xu Yin would actually read out every single one of his past messages in front of so many people…

That kind of thing wasn’t meant to be spoken out loud!!!

Chen Yu’s hands were trembling. He finally lost his temper and snapped, “You—”

But Xu Yin suddenly said, “Ah, I won’t read anymore. It’s a little disgusting.”

Chen Yu: “……”

The chat exploded with “……”

Chen Yu’s face turned green!

Furious, he demanded, “Yin, what the hell do you mean?”

The chat instantly erupted in mockery:

“You really don’t get what he means? Keep asking and you’re just humiliating yourself further.”

“Are the diehard fans still pretending these messages are fine? If this isn’t flirting, I’ll eat shit!”

“This is hilarious—Yin actually read out everything. God of Chuuni, can you handle it?”

“Fans still defending him? Still think there’s nothing wrong? If some girl sent your boyfriend these messages, would you still be okay with it?”

Chen Yu was utterly humiliated. Furious, he snapped, “You agreed to it back then! I never forced you!”

This time, Xu Yin didn’t even have to say anything—the chat tore Chen Yu apart.

“Who the fuck is talking about consent? The issue is that you had a girlfriend while leading a guy on!”

“So do you like men or women, exactly?”

“Or do you not actually like men but just found Yin easy to milk money from?”

“Are his fans okay? Worshipping such a scumbag?”

“Don’t even know what he looks like in real life—what exactly do you see in him? His greasy flirting in streams?”

“Who knows how many sugar daddies he’s called ‘baby’ behind the scenes…”

“Twisting facts and being delusional—God of Chuuni and his fans are a perfect match. They should stay together forever and stop bothering others!”

One after another, the God of Chuuni’s fans collectively fell silent. Even Chen Yu couldn’t hold back anymore.

He suddenly slammed the brakes and cursed, “Fuck!”

The profanity startled his fans behind their screens.

They were used to swearing themselves, but Chen Yu had always cultivated an image of a mischievous yet well-mannered streamer—flirty, but never vulgar.

But now, he couldn’t control himself anymore. He wanted to curse even more, but before he could, they arrived at the vaccine storage building.

This was the main mission location, and as soon as the car stopped, countless zombies swarmed from the surrounding shadows, lunging at them!

The VR game was highly realistic, and Chen Yu was so terrified that he let out a loud scream!

Xu Yin and Yan Shixiu completely ignored him. Grabbing the ability capsules from the car, they got out, immediately launching into full-blown combat mode while strategically tossing the capsules!

The chat was buzzing:

“Flower God hasn’t streamed in so long—I almost forgot he’s this violent. Seeing him and Shixiu fight together… they really do seem like a couple…”

Indeed, the two stood back-to-back, effortlessly knocking away every zombie that approached them—simple and brutal!

Meanwhile, Chen Yu was frantically dodging, flinging ability capsules wildly without even aiming, wasting several of them.

Seeing how smoothly the other two were handling the situation, Chen Yu gritted his teeth.

He finally realized—Yin had agreed to let him in the car just to set him up for humiliation today!

But he never expected that the guy who used to run away and hide whenever drama arose had now grown bold enough to fight back this hard. He had completely underestimated him!

Just then, Chen Yu accidentally stepped on a fallen ability capsule. The words “Psychic Type” flashed on it, and his eyes flickered.

He recalled the earlier briefing—it mentioned that psychic abilities in this game were a bit unusual.

A sinister idea surfaced.

Chen Yu immediately grabbed the psychic ability capsule, rolled to dodge a zombie’s attack, and then—pretending to be careless—hurled it straight toward Xu Yin and Yan Shixiu!

The chat exploded in rage.

“Fucking hell, don’t think we didn’t see that! You did that on purpose!”

“What a disgusting scumbag!”

“God of Chuuni is fucking trash!”

“Just die already!”

Xu Yin noticed the psychic ability capsule flying toward him and smiled. Just as he was about to act, Yan Shixiu stepped in front of him. The next moment, the man spun around and delivered a powerful kick—

The capsule was sent hurtling straight back, smashing into Chen Yu’s face!

Chen Yu’s vision went black as he was knocked to the ground.

The sensations in the VR game were highly realistic, and for a moment, Chen Yu genuinely felt as if his face had been crushed. He scrambled to remove the capsule and, completely breaking character, cursed, “Fuck, are you both out of your damn minds—”

His words were cut short.

Because dozens of zombies had suddenly gathered around him.

Chen Yu: “……???”

Not far away, Xu Yin glanced over. “Ah, so the psychic ability capsule really does have this effect.”

Yan Shixiu nodded coldly.

At that moment, both Chen Yu and the viewers collectively had the same question in their minds: …Really what???

The next second, Xu Yin and Yan Shixiu turned, hand in hand, and walked into the building—leaving behind a horde of raging zombies that swarmed over Chen Yu, piling on top of him like a small mountain.

The psychic ability backlash had begun!!

Chen Yu’s screams echoed through the sky!

Small, medium, and large-scale dungeons in the game weren’t classified by difficulty but by the number of players that could participate.

Clearly, this medium-sized dungeon wasn’t difficult—at least, not for Xu Yin and Yan Shixiu. Any dungeon that could be cleared with brute force was nothing to them.

So, as they fought their way up the building, they still had time to flirt, completely forgetting about that piece of trash, the God of Chuuni.

Xu Yin picked up a baseball bat and, in between smashing a zombie’s skull, casually said, “By the way, forget everything I said in the car earlier.”

He found those words a bit disgusting in hindsight.

Yan Shixiu turned to look at him silently.

Xu Yin: “?”

He crushed two more zombies, took a moment to reflect, and suddenly understood.

Was he reluctant to let go of the word baby?

Xu Yin wasn’t the type to sweet-talk often, but in the stairwell—after clearing out all the zombies—he took Yan Shixiu’s hand again, tilted his head slightly, and smiled. “Hubby?”

Wasn’t that even better than baby?

Yan Shixiu: “!!!”

The chat: “!!!”

Yan Shixiu froze. He stared at Xu Yin, seemingly forgetting to breathe for a moment.

His gaze remained locked on him, unwavering, as a deep flush spread from his ears down his face and all the way to his neck…

The man abruptly lowered his head, swiping open the mission menu with a sharp motion!

—And was once again stopped by Xu Yin!

Xu Yin calmly said, “Ah, speaking of which, I should transfer those four aircraft carriers to you later.”

Yan Shixiu: “???”

Most of the time, Xu Yin didn’t know what his partner was thinking. But now that he did know, he figured he might as well be direct.

Resigned, he said, “You already know I don’t like managing money. Take it back. If you really want to make me happy, just surprise me with small gifts now and then.”

Yan Shixiu hesitated for a moment before giving him a questioning look: Like what?

Xu Yin thought for a second, opened his mission menu, and tapped the default gift option in the lower left corner.

Instantly, countless pink flower petals appeared in the stairwell.

They drifted gently through the air, landing on the floor, on the handrails, on Xu Yin’s shoulders, and atop Yan Shixiu’s head.

Like a romantic rain of blossoms.

This was the simplest gift setting in Horror Chain—available to all players, costing nothing.

Yet, for Xu Yin and Yan Shixiu, this pink shower of petals carried a meaning far beyond its in-game function.

Xu Yin chuckled softly. “See? Isn’t this nice?”

Yan Shixiu was stunned. After a moment, his gaze darkened, and he called out in a low, hoarse voice, “Yinyin.”

The chat went absolutely wild.

“Holy shit holy shit holy shit!!!”

“Yin is TOO smooth! TOO SMOOTH!!”

“What are they even doing AAAAA GIVE ME MORE!!”

And then, everyone saw it—

The Flower God, who had always been expressionless in dungeon runs, tilting his lips in a faint smile as he tapped a tiny icon in the mission menu, scattering flowers into the air, stealing a glance at his beloved beside him.

A minute later, Xu Yin tapped the icon again—another shower of petals rained down as he stole another glance at his lover.

Three minutes later, he tapped again…

“The pollen levels are off the charts!”

“The sweetness levels are off the charts!”

“Dog foods are off the charts!”

And so, beneath a continuous downpour of flower petals, Xu Yin calmly led his lover all the way up to the rooftop, secured the vaccine, and cleared the dungeon.

Meanwhile, over on the forums, the entire site had been utterly taken over by the night’s events.

“God of Chuuni joined Yin’s dungeon—guess what happened next?”

“Yin read out those WeChat screenshots word for word. It’s strangely addictive—I’ve listened to it five times already?!”

“God of Chuuni probably wanted to leech off Yin’s popularity, but now he’s hemorrhaging followers, haha! Didn’t expect his delusional fans to fall for Yin’s style instead!”

“Uh… is there already fanfic of Flower God and Yin? I’ve got my pen ready!”

“I never imagined Flower God could be this adorably dumb… He triggered the flower rain sixteen times. I’m speechless.”

After exiting the dungeon, Xu Yin opened a private chat with his lover.

“Am I coming over, or are you coming here?”

“I’ll come to you.”

The man replied, “Yinyin, wait for me.”

After sending his location, Xu Yin removed his VR headset in reality and turned to his roommates.

“I’m staying out tonight. Not coming back.”

His roommates were deep into their own game and barely reacted, nodding absentmindedly. “Oh, got it. Stay safe.”

It wasn’t until the door slammed shut with a bang that they finally processed what had just been said.

Wait—staying out tonight? Not coming back?

This… this was definitely something!!
