Chapter 104: Cold, Crazy School Prince x Spoiled, Delicate Little Brat 12
After the Disciplinary Director left, Mediterranean Teacher Du tapped the podium, and the classroom fell silent.
“Classmates, today we’ll be welcoming a new student to our class.”
Teacher Du stepped aside, his encouraging gaze fixed on Jiang Wanwan.
Jiang Wanwan strode confidently to the podium, as if he were a movie star walking the red carpet.
“Hello everyone, I’m Jiang Wanwan. You can call me Wanwan~”
“I’m thrilled to be studying in the same classroom as all of you. I used to study at home, so I might be a bit behind, but I haven’t fallen too far behind. From today on, I’ll work hard to keep up with you all and won’t let Class 5 down!”
As he spoke, he pointedly glanced in Jiang Luoluo’s direction.
“In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, painting, and watching NBA games. If any of you share these interests, we can exchange ideas and learn from each other. Please take care of me!”
With that, he gave a slight bow to the class.
Whispers rippled through the crowd:
“Jiang Wanwan? That name sounds a bit…straightforward!”
“It’s similar to Luoluo’s name. Could they be related?”
“No way! Luoluo is so beautiful. This Wanwan is…a bit lacking, don’t you think?”
“Look at his wrinkled clothes! He looks so ordinary. Would a child from a wealthy family dress like that?”
“Isn’t he that ‘low-quality guy’ from the gossip group?”
The room buzzed with chatter as Li Chuan crossed his arms, watching Jiang Wanwan’s arrogant demeanor on the podium.
“This kid’s up to no good,” he muttered.
Jiang Luoluo rested his chin on his hand, too lazy to watch Jiang Wanwan’s contrived attempt at friendliness, which couldn’t hide his true arrogance.
“You’re right! He just reported me yesterday. If I hadn’t been quick-witted, Dad would have scolded me already.”
Li Chuan rolled up his sleeves. “He dared to bully you? Just wait! I’ll go beat him up later!”
Jiang Luoluo shook his head. “No need for that. I’ll handle it myself.”
After all, Jiang Wanwan was the protagonist of this world, a child favored by fate. Brother Chuan’s role was just a minor cannon fodder character. It was best not to cross paths with the child of destiny.
Meanwhile, Mediterranean pointed toward Jiang Luoluo. “Jiang Wanwan, you can sit over there.”
The only empty seat in the class was behind Li Chuan, next to Mu Jianian.
Jiang Wanwan hurried over and extended his right hand toward Mu Jianian. “Brother Jianian, please take care of me!”
Mu Jianian’s gaze remained fixed on his notebook. Hearing Jiang Wanwan’s voice, he set down his pen and gave a noncommittal “Hmm.”
Mu Jianian’s aloof phoenix eyes held no superfluous emotion. His slender fingers gripped a black fountain pen, completing the final stroke on his notebook.
He closed the notebook and handed it to Jiang Luoluo, his cold voice softened with tenderness. “There. All done.”
Ignored, Jiang Wanwan pouted and sat down on a stool.
‘Jiang Luoluo is so annoying!’
‘He even makes Brother Jianian tutor him in class!’
Jiang Wanwan placed his backpack on the desk and glanced at Mu Jianian, whose expression remained indifferent, yet whose profile was exceptionally handsome and sculpted.
‘Perfect!’
‘He’s finally going to be Brother Jianian’s desk mate!’
‘Even Jiang Luoluo doesn’t get this kind of treatment!’
He glanced ahead, where the person in front was also sizing him up.
Buzz cut, single eyelid, and a distinctly rebellious air.
‘Looks like trouble.’
But Jiang Wanwan remained confident, flashing a sweet smile and chirping, “Hello, classmate! What’s your name?”
This was Jiang Luoluo’s desk mate.
The classmate in front stroked his chin, a mocking smile playing on his lips. “So it’s Wanwan, huh? I’m Li Chuan.”
Encouraged that the other boy had spoken to him, Jiang Wanwan shot a smug glance at Jiang Luoluo.
‘Just you wait!’
‘With my charm, it’s only a matter of time before Li Chuan falls at my feet.’
‘I’m so handsome and amazing! Everyone in class will love me!’
‘Then I’ll get my friends to isolate Jiang Luoluo. He’ll regret ever crossing me!’
In just a few days, Jiang Wanwan had won over a group of friends with his sweet talk, snacks, and small gifts.
Standing in the middle of the crowd, he covered his mouth to accept their praise, though he remained humble:
“Oh, no, no… I’m a year younger than Luoluo. I should be in the grade below, but the teacher thought I learned quickly and suggested my father let me skip a grade…”
“That’s right. These cookies were brought back from abroad by my father. They’re specially made for the royal family of S Country~”
“Oh, don’t mention it! We’re all friends here~”
When the bell rang, Jiang Wanwan emerged from the crowd, his smile fading.
‘What a bunch of bumpkins, so easily bought over with just a few cookies!’
Jiang Wanwan rolled his eyes in disdain and returned to his seat.
He poked Li Chuan in front of him. “Brother Chuan, have a cookie~”
Li Chuan glanced back, then lazily turned away.
“No thanks.”
Jiang Wanwan felt a surge of anger.
‘What a clueless idiot!’
He’d been at this school for so long and still hadn’t managed to break into this circle of rich second-generation kids. He wondered who was sabotaging him.
And Brother Jianian… Brother Jianian had been cold to him too.
Jiang Wanwan felt a pang of discouragement.
But then he saw Mu Jianian enter the classroom, and his smile instantly returned.
Mu Jianian was accompanied by Jiang Luoluo, who was utterly annoying. The boy followed Brother Jianian everywhere like a shadow, ruining any chance Jiang Wanwan had to get close to him!
Seeing Mu Jianian sit down, Jiang Wanwan seized the opportunity to present him with a dessert box tied with a ribbon. “Brother Jianian, this is for you~”
Mu Jianian glanced at him.
Their eyes met, and Jiang Wanwan’s breath hitched.
Mu Jianian was truly handsome, with sharp eyebrows, bright, star-like eyes, and a high, prominent brow bone. His gaze was aloof and cold, as if he saw nothing, yet if you held his gaze for a few seconds, you’d notice his pupils were an unnaturally deep black, bottomless and unfathomable.
His nose was also high and straight, and his lips were thin and sharp.
They say men like this are incredibly skilled in bed. Jiang Wanwan wondered if Mu Jianian was the same…
His face flushed slightly.
He pushed the dessert box forward again.
A small, soft white hand reached out and shoved the box back.
Jiang Luoluo glared at him fiercely, like a puffed-up kitten. “He doesn’t want it!”
Jiang Wanwan pushed the box forward again. “How do you know he doesn’t want it?”
Jiang Luoluo pushed it back again. “I said he doesn’t want it, so he doesn’t!”
Just as Jiang Wanwan was about to retort, a cold voice cut through the air.
“I don’t want it.”
Jiang Wanwan awkwardly retracted the dessert box.
As he munched on his own small cookies, Jiang Wanwan secretly observed Jiang Luoluo and Mu Jianian passing notes to each other, sensing something strange between them.
After class, he stealthily followed them.
He watched Mu Jianian and Jiang Luoluo enter the restroom together.
Just as Jiang Wanwan was about to follow, a hand grabbed the back of his collar.
“Isn’t this Wanwan? Are you here to use the restroom too?”
Hearing Li Chuan’s voice, Jiang Wanwan made an excuse, “I’m just here to wash my hands.”
Li Chuan seemed to see through his intentions. “What a coincidence, so am I! Let’s go together!”
After washing his hands, Jiang Wanwan was dragged away by Li Chuan, who had been keeping an eye on him.
Meanwhile, in a narrow stall in the restroom, the two people he had followed were breathing in unison.
Mu Jianian leaned against the door, his hands braced against the panels, pulling the smaller Jiang Luoluo into his arms. His voice was low: “Is my baby Luoluo jealous?”
Jiang Luoluo’s lips were flushed and slightly swollen, his eyes misty with unshed tears. He softly protested, “Luoluo isn’t jealous at all…”
“If you’re not jealous, why are you ignoring me?” Mu Jianian nuzzled his lips, a hint of reproach in his voice. “I sent you so many notes, and you didn’t even reply to a single one?”
He was handsome, his usually cold tone softened with a hint of coaxing, making Jiang Luoluo look like an utterly heartless scoundrel.
Jiang Luoluo blinked, his dark, grape-like pupils shining with a clear light, tinged with a hint of guilt.
“I… I wrote too much… my hands are sore!”
He finally found an excuse, his voice laced with a hint of righteous indignation.
Mu Jianian raised a slender eyebrow, as if lost in thought. “Sore?”
He took Jiang Luoluo’s wrist, his long fingers brushing against the back of Jiang Luoluo’s hand before pinching it and pressing it to his lips, kissing it gently.
“How about now? Still sore?”
The tips of Jiang Luoluo’s fingers, kissed a few times, flushed a shy pink. His eyelashes fluttered as he tried to pull his hand away.
“N-no, not anymore…”
But Mu Jianian’s grip on his hand was like an iron clamp.
His wrist was flipped over.
Jiang Luoluo’s slender wrist was firmly grasped by Mu Jianian’s large hand. The snow-white skin was thin, and the blue veins were clearly visible.
He looked so beautiful, so vulnerable.
Mu Jianian lowered his long lashes to look at him, gently calling his name: “Luoluo?”
Jiang Luoluo raised his eyelashes and stammered, “Mu Jianian…”
A tingling, numb itch spread across his wrist.
He saw Mu Jianian’s cold, phoenix-shaped eyes locked on him, while his thin lips pressed against his wrist.
His mind exploded with a thunderous roar, like scattered sparks in the autumn wind igniting a prairie fire.
His wrist was pinned against the door panel, Mu Jianian’s breath hot on his face as he kissed his lips again.
Jiang Luoluo remained motionless, still reeling from the shock. He was as docile as a kitten pinned down by its paws.
Students skipping class came to the restroom to relieve themselves, laughing and chatting as they passed by outside.
Jiang Luoluo nervously pushed Mu Jianian’s shoulder, but the other man remained unfazed.
The restroom door creaked open, drawing the attention of the two students outside.
“Someone in there?”
“Which brother wants to skip class with us?”
The smell of cigarettes drifted through the door panel, and knuckles pounded against it with a loud “bang, bang.”
Jiang Luoluo panicked, his face flushed as he pushed Mu Jianian again.
Mu Jianian’s voice was husky. “Baby, don’t move.”
Outside, two voices exclaimed, “Holy shit!”
“Damn! That’s how you play the game!!”
One of them looked down, and beneath the tightly closed door of a small stall, two pairs of shoes faced each other.
“Nice, brother! 66666666! You showed us up!”
“Alright, let’s go! Don’t disturb their fun!”
