Chapter 125: Cold, Crazy School Idol x Spoiled, Delicate Little Brat 33
Jiang Luoluo obediently closed his eyes, his thick eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings.
A faint blush tinged his fair cheeks as he tilted his head to be kissed, his slender neck appearing delicate and vulnerable.
Mu Jianian reluctantly moved his lips from Jiang Luoluo’s eyelids to the tip of his nose, a bittersweet ache swelling in his chest.
“How could your husband ever bear to let you go?”
He kissed Jiang Luoluo’s chin, his voice slightly hoarse.
“I’m afraid that one day… you’ll be the one who doesn’t want me anymore…”
Jiang Luoluo opened his eyes at this, his beautiful eyes shining black and bright, his gaze innocent and bewildered.
“Does my husband get scared too?”
Mu Jianian tightened his grip on Jiang Luoluo’s arm, his cold phoenix eyes subtly brewing with pain, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
“Yes.”
“How could I not be afraid?”
He stroked Jiang Luoluo’s face, his gaze tracing every inch of his features.
“I’m afraid that one day, our precious baby will suddenly realize that your husband isn’t actually that good.”
“Or even worse, that your husband is actually terrifying and awful…”
Jiang Luoluo frowned, her delicate eyebrows furrowing as she instinctively retorted:
“That’s not true!”
“My husband is the best husband in the world!”
“He loves me the most! He’s not scary or awful at all!”
“My husband loves me the most!”
A wave of tenderness washed over Mu Jianian’s chest as he gazed intently at the person in his arms. He tentatively asked, “If one day our baby discovers that her husband isn’t actually good, that he’s even hurt our baby…”
“Would our baby leave her husband then?”
The person in his arms smiled innocently and confidently. “You would never hurt me~”
Seeing Mu Jianian’s tense and earnest expression, Jiang Luoluo carefully embraced him, her gaze fixed on his eyes.
“I won’t leave you.”
Under the crystal chandelier’s glow, Jiang Luoluo’s clear, black-and-white eyes were unusually serious. Her soft voice, like a lover’s whisper, yet solemn as a vow, echoed in the room.
“I’ll always stay with my husband~”
Mu Jianian’s throat tightened. He kissed his lips reluctantly.
“Good. Our baby must always stay with me.”
By late December, the weather had turned bitterly cold.
As Jiang Luoluo emerged from the home theater and passed through the living room, a casual glance outside revealed the wind-whipped plants swaying precariously.
Snowflakes mixed with raindrops fell in a flurry, soaking the ground in a damp film.
Jiang Luoluo leaned against the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing outside. Behind him, the nanny’s voice called out, “Madam, please don’t go out and play in the water. It’s too cold.”
Jiang Luoluo nodded and asked, “Has the temperature dropped? I wonder if my husband is cold…”
“President Mu is always in heated environments, so he definitely won’t be cold.” The nanny placed a warm, freshly baked egg tart on the table, sighing wistfully. “Your relationship is truly wonderful. It makes me envious.”
“Before President Mu left, he specifically instructed me to keep a close eye on you today, as the temperature was dropping. He said you’re delicate and shouldn’t catch a cold from the cold.”
“He also told me to make you egg tarts at 4:30 this afternoon. How convenient! I just finished baking them when you came out!”
Jiang Luoluo smiled shyly and sat down on the sofa.
He took a bite of the egg tart while sending a message to Mu Jianian: “Thank you, hubby~”
He also attached a photo of the half-eaten tart.
A moment later, Mu Jianian’s reply arrived:
“Was my baby good today?”
Jiang Luoluo thought for a moment: “Baby was super good~”
“Hubby~ It’s raining today. Are you cold?”
Mu Jianian: [It was cold at first, but when I saw our baby’s message, my heart instantly warmed up.]
A hazy image of Mu Jianian’s cold, handsome face flashed through Jiang Luoluo’s mind.
Jiang Luoluo smiled, bit his lip, and glanced at the rain outside.
He quickly finished the egg tart, stood up abruptly, opened an umbrella, and stepped out into the downpour.
The Tuozhou Technology building stood tall in the rain, its golden-yellow lights illuminating the night. The four black-and-gold Chinese characters, lit up by electricity, shone brightly.
“Stop here, is fine, driver.”
The taxi driver began to slow down, casually chatting with his passenger. “Picking up your girlfriend from work?”
Jiang Luoluo opened his umbrella, his smile radiant.
“That’s right! As her boyfriend, of course, I have to pick her up on a rainy day!”
With that, he pushed open the car door and plunged into the downpour.
Just as he reached the entrance, Jiang Luoluo closed his umbrella, straightened his clothes, and checked the time.
Five minutes left! Mu Jianian would be off work any minute now!
He stood by the door, ready to surprise him.
Suddenly, two young women peeked out from the building, chattering about where to eat dinner tonight. They caught sight of Jiang Luoluo, and one of them exclaimed, “Holy shit!”
The other looked up, her face flushed with the embarrassment of a worker caught sneaking out: “Madam…”
Their faces burned with shame, and they hesitated, debating whether to sneak back inside.
Jiang Luoluo thoughtfully turned away, pretending not to have seen anything.
The two young women breathed a sigh of relief and bowed to Jiang Luoluo. “Thank you, Madam Boss! We’ll never sneak out again!!”
Then they scurried away like rabbits.
Five minutes later, Mu Jianian emerged from the elevator right on time. Assistant Xiao Tang, robot-like, pushed up his glasses and produced a large umbrella.
They saw President Mu, who had been striding briskly, suddenly stop and gaze out the floor-to-ceiling glass window.
Assistant Tang followed his gaze and saw a familiar figure standing outside the door.
A pale blue down jacket, white pants.
The person stood with their back to them, the hood of their down jacket pulled over their head, reaching out to catch snowflakes as they drifted in the wind.
The swirling snowflakes danced on their pink fingertips, creating a scene as beautiful as a painting.
Mu Jianian paused for a moment before quickly walking toward the door.
Assistant Tang hurried to catch up.
Hearing familiar footsteps outside the lobby, Jiang Luoluo turned around.
His snow-white face was clean and radiant, golden hair soft and fluffy against his forehead. His delicate nose was flushed red from the cold, and his full lips glistened with a layer of dewy red.
He tilted his head slightly in their direction, his luminous eyes veiled with a misty haze, and curved his eyes at them in a charming, endearing smile.
“It’s raining!”
“Honey, I’m here to pick you up from work!”
As he spoke, he waved the large umbrella in his hand.
Assistant Tang clutched his chest, feeling as if he’d been struck.
Mu Jianian looked at the small figure standing before him. He took two long strides forward and pulled Jiang Luoluo into his arms.
His heart overflowed with emotion, his entire chest feeling as if it were filled with his precious treasure.
Mu Jianian lowered his head and kissed Jiang Luoluo’s forehead.
“Are you cold, baby?”
The person in his arms tilted his small face upward, his eyes sparkling with laughter. “Not at all, hubby~”
“Have you been waiting long?”
Jiang Luoluo shook his head. The hat was too big and loose; half his face kept getting covered as he turned his head, only to reappear with the next turn.
His soft voice sounded like a spoiled child’s plea:
“Not long at all~ Hubby appeared in the blink of an eye~”
Mu Jianian’s eyes crinkled with amusement. He lowered his head and nuzzled his lips against Jiang Luoluo’s overly soft ones. His deep voice resonated in his ear, exceptionally pleasing:
“Do you love your hubby?”
Jiang Luoluo’s almond eyes curved into crescent moons, tiny sparks dancing in their depths. His voice, as cheerful as a little bird’s, chirped,
“I love my hubby~”
The rising inflection at the end of his sentence was like a pebble dropped into Mu Jianian’s heart-lake, sending ripples through his soul.
Mu Jianian pulled open his cashmere coat and wrapped Jiang Luoluo in its warmth. He held Jiang Luoluo’s shoulders with one arm, and with the other, naturally took the large umbrella from Jiang Luoluo’s hand.
The black umbrella unfurled, sheltering them both beneath its canopy.
Mu Jianian tilted the umbrella, completely shielding his precious companion from the rain as he listened to Jiang Luoluo’s chatter.
Half of the deep gray cashmere coat’s shoulder was exposed to the downpour, quickly turning a dark, saturated black.
Black leather shoes crunched on the ground, while the small white sneakers beside them moved lightly, splashing through puddles and sending up sprays of water, followed by bursts of cheerful laughter.
Twilight descended, the rain softened, and snowflakes began to flutter down, blanketing the ground.
Jiang Luoluo reached out to catch the falling flakes, then mischievously shoved his cold hands into Mu Jianian’s chest to warm them.
His flawless, delicate face radiated innocent arrogance as he slyly slipped his hands into Mu Jianian’s embrace, then deliberately asked if he was cold.
The tall man’s phoenix eyes crinkled with amusement, and he kissed Jiang Luoluo’s brow with indulgent affection, his voice gentle as he replied, “Not at all.”
The two of them strolled slowly through the swirling snow, the black Bugatti far behind, trailing their figures.
The street was sparsely populated, lending an air of desolate emptiness.
Warm yellow streetlights illuminated the swirling snowflakes and cast a glow on the two figures.
The tall man held his companion close, shielding him completely and murmuring soothing words with patient tenderness.
Their laughter, clear and bell-like, echoed along the street.
As the New Year approached, the festive atmosphere grew increasingly intense.
Red lanterns had been hung throughout the villa long ago, along with paper window decorations cut by Jiang Luoluo and the nanny from red paper.
He tugged at Mu Jianian’s arm, pointing at the window decoration pasted on the largest floor-to-ceiling window.
“Mu Jianian, say again what this is!”
Mu Jianian looked at the misshapen creature on the window with some embarrassment, hesitating for a moment.
He ventured a guess: “A sewing machine?”
His little wife glared at him, huffing loudly!
The nanny burst into laughter, leaning over with a helpful reminder: “Mr. Mu, who would cut a sewing machine for a window decoration?”
“Our window decorations are usually flowers, birds, fish, insects, pavilions, and landscapes.”
After speaking, she pointed at the wall.
Mu Jianian followed the nanny’s finger and looked at their precious child’s scribbles. He quickly corrected himself,
“I knew it! It looked like a bush from the start.”
“Our baby is so talented! Whatever he cuts, it looks just like it!”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Jiang Luoluo crumpled his face into a frown, pouting his lips, hands on his hips, looking thoroughly displeased.
The nanny couldn’t stop laughing, her shoulders shaking with suppressed giggles.
Jiang Luoluo sighed heavily, turning to examine the paper-cut window decoration he’d spent half the morning on.
He studied it carefully for several moments, then tilted his head to look at Mu Jianian.
His voice was filled with resentment: “It’s a rabbit, husband.”
The nanny burst into a fit of laughter.
Jiang Luoluo glared at Mu Jianian, his tender, bun-like face radiating “You have no taste, and I’m very unhappy about it.”
Mu Jianian suppressed his laughter and cupped Jiang Luoluo’s face in his hands, forcing out a compliment:
“Yes, yes, it’s definitely a little rabbit. Our baby is amazing!”
Jiang Luoluo spent half a morning making a rabbit 🐇, only for Mu Jianian to call it a sewing machine. That pain? That’s me every time I upload a chapter and nobody buys me Ko-fi. 😭 👉☕
