TYMRHBDES Chapter 128

Chapter 128: The Cold, Crazy School Idol x The Spoiled, Delicate Little Brat 36

Jiang Luoluo’s thick eyelashes fluttered rapidly, his clear eyes betraying undisguised disgust.

He opened his mouth, unsure where to begin explaining today’s events.

“He didn’t say anything…”

Mu Jianian’s eyelids lifted, his dark eyes swirling with danger.

“Your husband already knows.”

The restaurant’s massive crystal chandelier refracted brilliant light, illuminating the rectangular dining table, which was laden with steaming dishes.

With the Lunar New Year approaching, the sound of firecrackers occasionally echoed from outside. The nanny bustled between the dining room and kitchen, adding to the lively atmosphere.

All the dishes had been served. Father Jiang and Mu Jianian chatted about business matters, nodding occasionally.

Mother Jiang peeled a shrimp and held it to Jiang Luoluo’s lips.

“This year, Luo Luo and Niannian should come over for New Year’s Eve dinner. The five of us can celebrate together at home.”

As she spoke, she peeled another shrimp and offered it to Mu Jianian. “I’ve already ordered the New Year’s Eve feast, avoiding anything Niannian dislikes and including your favorite sweet and sour pork and Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.”

Mu Jianian quickly took the shrimp with his plate. “Thank you, Mom.”

Mother Jiang said, “It’s quite a coincidence—Luo Luo also loves sweet and sour pork and Buddha Jumps Over the Wall. You two have the same taste.”

Mu Jianian glanced at Jiang Luoluo but remained silent, a smile playing on his lips.

He didn’t have any particular favorite dishes.

Whatever his baby liked to eat, he would eat with him.

Over time, their tastes had become remarkably similar.

Any way to draw closer to Jiang Luoluo filled Mu Jianian’s heart with joy.

Father Jiang chimed in from across the table with an approving “Mmm.”

“The year Luo Luo was born, I put away a few bottles of fine wine to age. We’ll open them when the time comes, and the two of us can share a drink.”

As the conversation kept circling around Jiang Luoluo and Mu Jianian, Jiang Wanwan grew increasingly displeased.

He poked at the shrimp his mother had peeled and placed on his plate. “Dad, Mom, I have a boyfriend too.”

Both Father Jiang and Mother Jiang turned their gazes toward him.

“His family is in the construction materials business. He pursued me for a long time. Seeing his sincerity, I agreed to date him.”

As Jiang Wanwan spoke, he raised his wrist, pushing up his watch for the other four to see.

“See? This is what he gave me.”

Jiang Wanwan glanced at Jiang Luoluo, a smug look on his face. “It’s so expensive! 280,000 yuan for just one!”

“Too bad there’s only one in the country. You can’t buy another, otherwise I’d really want to get one just like it and give it to my brother…”

“After all, with a watch this expensive, I doubt my brother would be willing to spend that much, right?”

Mu Jianian raised an eyebrow, amused.

Father Jiang’s expression turned impatient. “What nonsense are you talking about?”

“I’m not talking nonsense!” Jiang Wanwan feigned innocence. “After all, all my brother has is Comet Technology. No matter how much Comet earns, it’s still just a small company…”

Mother Jiang couldn’t bear to watch his condescending act any longer. She frowned slightly. “Don’t you know? Niannian transferred her shares to Luo Luo.”

Jiang Wanwan was shocked, but his voice dripped with disdain. “How much could he have really transferred? It’s just for show, Mom. You’re too naive.”

Mu Jianian’s dark phoenix eyes turned to Jiang Wanwan. “Luo Luo holds all my shares. He’s now Tuozhou’s largest shareholder.”

Jiang Luoluo’s watery eyes widened in surprise as he stared at Mu Jianian. Mu Jianian ruffled his hair.

“That’s impossible!”

Jiang Wanwan shrieked, his voice shrill with disbelief. “Who would be stupid enough to give away all their shares like that?”

Mother Jiang frowned at his petty display. “It’s Luo Luo’s betrothal gift.”

Jealousy burned in Jiang Wanwan’s eyes, but he stubbornly persisted. “It’s just for show! No one’s that foolish. Who would just hand over such a massive fortune for nothing?”

As he spoke, he pulled out his phone, opened Tianyancha, and typed in “Tuozhou Technology.”

His gaze landed on the shareholder list, and the words froze on his tongue.

Jiang Luoluo.

Major Shareholder.

Shareholding Percentage: 98.88%.

Employed by 2 Companies.

How could this be?

How could anyone willingly hand over such a massive company to someone else?

And wasn’t Mu Jianian supposed to be taking revenge on Jiang Luoluo?

Why was he being so good to him?

The phone clattered onto the table with a sharp crack.

Jiang Luoluo craned his neck to look over, then turned back and whispered, “Husband.”

“You signed it when you visited my office a while ago,” Mu Jianian explained.

Jiang Luoluo gave a small “Oh.”

Father Jiang wore a satisfied smile. “Alright, let’s not talk about that anymore. Let’s eat.”

In early November, Luo Luo had brought Mu Jianian home. Father Jiang had initially opposed their relationship.

His eldest son, pampered and raised like a precious jewel, was innocent and naive, completely different from Mu Jianian, who had clawed his way up from the bottom.

With just a few tricks, Mu Jianian could devour Luo Luo whole, leaving not even a bone fragment behind.

But that day, Mu Jianian had presented a stock transfer agreement, his voice low and resolute.

“Uncle, I will spend my entire life treating Luo Luo well.”

“I will cherish him, love him, protect him, and ensure he lives a life of comfort and happiness.”

“Uncle, I will prove my sincerity. All the companies and properties under my name have already been transferred to Luo Luo’s name as a betrothal gift.”

“Uncle, I’ve already missed him for three years. I don’t want to miss another single day of his life.”

“I don’t want anything else. I just want him.”

Father Jiang still remembered the tone of his voice at the time. He looked over the thin sheets of paper he held and asked, “Once you sign this agreement, there’s no turning back.”

“The business you’ve built over so many years will be handed over to someone else.”

“To put it bluntly, if your relationship sours later, Luo Luo, as the majority shareholder, could easily kick you out of the company. Have you thought this through?”

The young man sitting across from him was backlit, his back straight, his noble and aloof face resolute. Only when he mentioned the other person did a hint of tenderness well up in his dark eyes.

“It doesn’t matter. As long as he’s happy, that’s all that matters.”

Father Jiang snapped out of his reverie, his gaze toward his prospective son-in-law softening with satisfaction.

Jiang Wanwan recovered from his lapse in composure, picked up his phone, and tried to salvage the situation:

“I’m not as lucky as Jiang Luoluo. He can rely on a man, but I’m different. I can only rely on myself.”

“But Luo Luo, you should be careful. Love fades with beauty. Who can guarantee he’ll love you like this forever?”

Jiang Luoluo lifted his eyelashes and snapped at Jiang Wanwan, “Shut up!”

After being rebuked by Jiang Luoluo, Jiang Wanwan fell silent for a moment before resuming his self-praise:

“Father, you wouldn’t believe how well I’ve managed those companies you entrusted to me! I recently hit it off with President He, the real estate developer. He said that once he secures that land in the north, he’ll bring me in on the project!”

“I attended a social event the other day, and everyone was calling me the rising star of our circle!”

“And especially our Jiahe factory—since I took over, profits have increased several times over!”

“Unlike some people who only know how to eat, drink, and rely on men, I—”

Before he could finish, Father Jiang’s phone began ringing incessantly, interrupting him.

Within moments, everyone at the table watched Father Jiang’s face darken, turning as black as the bottom of a pot.

Jiang Wanwan’s self-congratulatory rhythm was disrupted, and he pouted in annoyance.

Mu Jianian, with his slender, well-proportioned fingers, expertly peeled a shrimp and fed it to his young wife, watching his cheeks bulge as he chewed with loving eyes.

His phoenix-eye gaze caught Father Jiang hanging up the phone, and Mu Jianian’s lips curved into a subtle smile.

Jiang Wanwan leaned in: “Dad, is it about the company?”

Jiang Wanwan wore a smug expression, tinged with arrogance. “Father, you’re not in good health. I’ll handle the company affairs. You’re getting old; you don’t need to worry about it anymore!”

“I don’t need to worry?”

Father Jiang slammed his phone onto the table, his hands trembling with rage. “I don’t need to worry!!!”

“Jiang Wanwan! This is how you’ve been running the company?! If I’d found out just a little later, that He fellow would have stolen it right out from under us!!”

Jiang Wanwan flinched at the roar, a chill running down his spine.

Since he’d been found, his parents hadn’t raised their voices at him, let alone yelled at him with such severity.

He quickly grabbed his phone, and one glance turned him ice cold.

“No! Impossible!! President He wouldn’t lie to me!! He promised me!!”

Mu Jianian wiped his hands with a tissue, his expression aloof. He raised his phoenix eyes, a mocking smile playing on his lips.

“Men’s fleeting affairs in the pleasure quarters are never meant to be taken seriously.”

Jiang Wanwan’s face drained of color. Stuttering, he retorted, “Stop slandering me! I’m not as shameless as Jiang Luo—”

*Slap!* A slap sent Jiang Wanwan’s head sideways.

Father Jiang retracted his numb hand, his chest heaving with rage. The WeChat group chat on his phone displayed a video someone had posted.

Jiang Wanwan flitted through the crowd of elderly CEOs like a butterfly, his dress wide open. He sat on an old man’s lap, drinking a cross-cup toast with him.

The liquor trickled down his lips, dampening his clothes.

Cheers erupted from the surrounding crowd.

Father Jiang was furious at Jiang Wanwan’s behavior.

“I’ve lived an upright life! I’ve run my business honestly all my life. Now I hand it over to you, Jiang Wanwan! And this is how you manage the company!!”

“You’re no longer in charge of the company! Get out of the country and don’t come back without my permission!”

“Dad!” Jiang Wanwan’s face turned ashen with terror. “This can’t be! These companies are mine!!”

He had finally managed to acquire these companies and had profited handsomely. How could he bear to give them up again!

If he no longer had to manage the companies and was exiled abroad, wouldn’t he end up with nothing at all!!

“Shut up!”

Father Jiang pointed to the staircase. “Go to your room and reflect on your actions!”

Jiang Luoluo poured a glass of water and handed it to him, his eyes filled with concern. “Dad, you have high blood pressure. You can’t get angry…”

Mu Jianian squeezed his fingers and turned to Father Jiang. “Dad, I’ll handle the online backlash. I’ll do my best to minimize its impact.”
