TYMRHBDES Chapter 24

Inwardly, Jiang Luoluo complained in his heart that the other man was a mean pervert, but his face still wore a sweet smile as he sat himself in Fu Tingchuan’s lap.

Fu Tingchuan opened a file, his brow slightly furrowed as he occasionally checked the data on the screen, then looked down to verify the reports. He was completely focused and serious.

The way he held Jiang Luoluo was like he was embracing a plush toy.

Jiang Luoluo, acting as that plush toy, took a look at the documents with him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t understand anything, so he started taking out his phone to go shopping again.

His phone case was ugly. The latest trend online was resin phone cases; he had to buy two!

Fu Tingchuan’s hand tightened on Jiang Luoluo’s waist. Seeing him lift his shirt and reach in with practiced ease, Jiang Luoluo suddenly felt a pang of sadness—

I’m going to buy five!

Take revenge on this freeloading mutt who always takes advantage of me!

After signing the last page, Fu Tingchuan glanced at the person sitting in his arms.

That person’s red lips were pressed tightly together, with their teeth biting down on the bottom lip. Their curled eyelashes fluttered as they stared intently at the screen, which displayed a man’s face. The man was striking poses, but it was unclear what he was trying to sell.

Fu Tingchuan sneered.

Hmph!

So Jiang Luoluo did love his money, after all, using it to lavish gifts on other men!

A tingling sensation traveled up his neck, like a swarm of ants biting him. Caught off guard, Jiang Luoluo let out a soft gasp. In the next instant, he felt the surface underneath him shift dramatically.

Jiang Luoluo jumped in surprise, his phone clattering onto the table. Fu Tingchuan suddenly picked him up, slung him over his shoulder, and headed for the bedroom door.

“Fu Tingchuan!”

Kicking open the bedroom door, Fu Tingchuan seemed really annoyed by this nickname. “Call me ‘husband’.”

Feeling light, Jiang Luoluo was thrown onto the bed, and his voice wobbled with the movement of the mattress. “H-husband~”

Fu Tingchuan patted his face and started undoing his belt. “Mm, your husband will love you.”

Jiang Luoluo clutched his belt and negotiated. “Wait till tonight! Can you do that? My waist is about to break! I’m serious!”

Trying to undo the belt for a while, Fu Tingchuan noticed it was tied in a strange knot. Seeing Jiang Luoluo’s reluctant tone, he suddenly stopped. Looking up, he repeated, “Your waist is about to break?”

Jiang Luoluo frantically nodded his small head, his tender face looking especially upset. “H-husband… My waist hurts… It hurts a lot…”

“Alright then,”

Giving up on the belt struggle, Fu Tingchuan’s large hand moved to caress Jiang Luoluo’s face. His thumb and index finger gently pinched at that small face.

Seeing the unmistakably dangerous and wicked look in Fu Tingchuan’s eyes, a sudden sense of unease rose up in Jiang Luoluo’s heart.

The man gazing down at him leaned slightly closer, his icy-cold gaze brushing past his lips. “We can still use this; it’s the same.”

Jiang Luoluo’s eyes opened wide in shock. He glanced up at Fu Tingchuan’s face, fear evident in his watery, shimmering gaze.

Seeing how anxious he looked as he was facing a formidable enemy, Fu Tingchuan wanted to tease him even more. He leaned in closer.

Jiang Luoluo suddenly covered his mouth, but a delicate voice still escaped between his fingers, sounding incredibly lovable: “Husband~”

His eyes, brimming understandably with tears, pleaded in a vulnerable way.

Fu Tingchuan felt like the tip of his heart was brushed by a kitten’s tail. , a sensation he couldn’t quite put his finger on.

He pulled Jiang Luoluo onto the bed with him, holding him tightly against his chest. Feeling Jiang Luoluo’s breaths against his shoulder, Fu Tingchuan gently brushed their cheeks together, then gave him one more kiss before saying, “It’s okay, then.”

The tense atmosphere loosened. Jiang Luoluo sighed in relief, clutching at Fu Tingchuan’s jacket collar with both hands.

Fu Tingchuan nuzzled into his neck and asked seductively, “Your husband is in so much pain now. How will you repay me tonight?”

Jiang Luoluo’s voice trailed off. “Mmm…” he muttered, leaving his response open-ended.

The edge of his collarbones felt both ticklish and numb. Fu Tingchuan took another nibble, then sat up and declared, “Let’s go!”

They dragged out lunch for a whole hour. Fu Tingchuan, the Boss, acted like he’d been bewitched, insisting on holding Jiang Luoluo on his lap and feeding him.

One problem after another arose: the soup was too hot, the fish had bones, he mistook ginger for potatoes and put it in Jiang Luoluo’s mouth, or he’d serve chicken with peppers that turned out to be all peppers and no chicken…

Before Jiang Luoluo could even swallow one mouthful, another spoonful was already on its way.

Jiang Luoluo’s meal was so unbearable that he felt like crying but no tears would come. In his mind, he cursed Fu Tingchuan, the insensitive tycoon, over and over again in his heart.

By the end of the meal, Fu Tingchuan lowered his chopsticks and gazed deeply at Jiang Luoluo, whose mouth was red from the spice. “Are you touched? It’s my first time feeding someone like this. Don’t you feel a bit of warmth?”

Jiang Luoluo was speechless.

Struggling to swallow the food in his mouth, he cleared his throat, which was hoarse from the spice.  “Tell me the truth, do you want to choke me to death?”

A crack appeared on Fu Tingchuan’s determined expression. He set Jiang Luoluo down next to him and silently gave the web article “How to Raise a Canary” a thumbs down.

What kind of trash is this? It’s downright misleading and over the top! He thought.

Knocking came from outside. Xiaoliu, the assistant, entered and began reporting on the work Fu Tingchuan needed to attend to that afternoon.

Jiang Luoluo sat dejectedly next to Fu Tingchuan, his chin resting in his hands. His attention was soon drawn to something shiny on Xiaoliu’s wrist.

Following her gaze, Fu Tingchuan nodded towards Xiaoliu’s wrist. “Where’d you get that?”

Xiaoliu rolled up his sleeve, revealing a small golden bull charm strung on a braided red cord. He explained, a little bashfully but also proudly, “My girlfriend made it by hand. She said this is my zodiac year, and wearing this will keep away bad luck. We’re long-distance, so she told me that wearing this is like having her right beside me.”

He caressed the braided cord around his wrist. “She’s not very skilled. She’d start knitting, then have to undo it, and redo it over and over again—it took her more than a week to finish just this tiny thing for me.”

Hearing this, Fu Tingchuan turned to glance at Jiang Luoluo, who was listening to the story with his chin resting in his hands.

He reached out a hand, and his wide palm appeared in front of Jiang Luoluo. “Make me one of those bracelets, too.”

Fu Tingchuan frowned slightly. “What, you don’t want to?”

Jiang Luoluo tilted his head, looking at him with innocent charm. “But I’m really not good at it.”

Fu Tingchuan gently stroked his hair. “Take your time, you can learn.”

As soon as he left the office, Jiang Luoluo angrily slammed his head against the elevator wall and waved his tiny fist at the closing doors, grumbling, “Ugh, capitalist exploitation at its finest!”

“He nearly wore me out already, yet he wants me to learn how to make these bracelets too!”

“Go die already, you dog of a man!”

In the CEO’s office, Fu Tingchuan watched Jiang Luoluo’s frantic display on the security camera feed, speechless.

“Jiang Luoluo thought he escaped, only to realize Fu Tingchuan saw everything on the security cameras. Congrats on the fastest ‘lose face’ speedrun! 💀💔 Buy me a Ko-fi to fund his emotional damage (and mine)! 😂☕”
