TYMRHBDES Chapter 46.2

He glanced at the person in the white fox fur cloak on the stone platform, his face blushed again: “It was now that this disciple regains consciousness…”

Jiang Luoluo’s head was buzzing, and he felt that he might as well have fainted.

It’s better than facing his apprentice like this.

Moreover, even he himself couldn’t figure out how Mo Yunqi suddenly appeared!

The person kneeling on the ground called him again in a low voice: “Master…”

Jiang Luoluo opened his mouth, his clear voice had become hoarse and weak: “What miasma?”

The person kneeling on the ground had a red and white face.

“I used to be an outer sect disciple of Ziyun Mountain. I heard it from afar when the master was giving a lecture. It was said that there were evil spirits in the uninhabited deep mountains. Many people died here, which led to resentment. The heavier the resentment, the easier it was for miasma to arise.” ”

“The Sect Leader mentioned that the miasma was thickest at the cliffside of Ziyun Mountain, but fortunately, Pingding Mountain guarded the area, making it unlikely to cause trouble.”

“However, there are exceptions. On the night of the full moon, the miasma intensifies, and even Pingding  Mountain struggles to contain it. That’s why he warned us not to come during this time, lest we fall prey to the Thousandfold Passion Miasma.”

“Thousandfold Passion Miasma?”

The person on the stone platform furrowed his brow. “What’s that?”

Mo Yunqi patiently explained:

“The Thousandfold Passion Miasma paralyzes the nerves, clouds the mind, and unleashes the desires hidden deep within one’s heart. But since everyone’s deepest desires differ, the reactions to the miasma vary, hence its name.”

Jiang Luoluo’s expression darkened further.

What kind of nonsense miasma was this?

What did it mean to unleash hidden desires?

He wasn’t crazy! How could his deepest desire be… that kind of thing?

What a ridiculous premise and a ridiculous cultivation world!

Jiang Luoluo pulled his cloak tighter, his snow-white face appearing even more delicate against the long, furry hood, his expression utterly bewildered.

So the person who had been following him… was he just a figment of his imagination?

In reality, there was no such man, and his… his most promising golden-thighed disciple was the one who had been following him all along???

What in the world was going on?

Watching his silent Shizun, the kneeling man’s gaze darkened, and his voice grew heavy with sorrow.

“This disciple is unworthy. Unable to resist the temptation of the inner demon, I dared to… to commit such a heinous act against Shizun!”

Mo Yunqi’s face was pale, his straight back kneeling on the ground, each word deliberate: “I am deeply aware of my grave sin. I am willing to give my life to clear Shizun’s name!”

The moment his words fell, the sword lying on the ground emitted a sharp clang, flying into Mo Yunqi’s hand at his master’s summons.

Mo Yunqi drew the sword from its scabbard, gripping the long blade and pressing it against his neck.

“Ah—”

A surge of spiritual energy flashed, knocking the sword from Mo Yunqi’s hand.

The sharp blade had already cut through skin and flesh, leaving a three-finger-wide gash across his slender neck. Blood droplets welled up from the wound, racing to spill out and trickle down his neck to his collarbone.

Jiang Luoluo leaped from the stone bed and rushed to cover the wound in a panic. “What are you doing?!”

Mo Yunqi’s thin lips were pressed tight, his voice stubborn: “I’m returning my life to Shizun.”

“What do I need your life for?”

Jiang Luoluo looked up at him. “A true man doesn’t take his own life over such a trivial matter. Is it worth it?”

Mo Yunqi lowered his eyes halfway, his gaze so deep and unfathomable that even Jiang Luoluo couldn’t understand it.

“Is this really a trivial matter, Shizun?”

The skin beneath Jiang Luoluo’s palm burned, and Mo Yunqi’s gaze made him feel guilty.

Jiang Luoluo blurted out a hasty reassurance, “Life is the most important thing. Flesh, bone, and appearance are just external trappings. There’s no need to take them so seriously.”

“Shizun.”

Mo Yunqi called out softly.

Jiang Luoluo was wrapping his wound with a bandage, and he replied absentmindedly.

“Shizun, this is my first time.”

Jiang Luoluo’s hand paused in its wrapping.

“I’m not one to indulge in lust. I’ve never done this before. I was planning to save it for my wedding night with my wife.”

Jiang Luoluo felt awkward. Hearing Mo Yunqi’s words, a pang of guilt suddenly struck him.

He felt like he had seduced a pure virgin, leading him down a depraved path.

“So for me, this isn’t a trivial matter. It’s a lifelong commitment.”

Jiang Luoluo’s scalp went numb.

What did he mean by that?

A lifelong commitment?

Was this kid actually expecting him to take responsibility for the rest of his life?

Two large hands gripped his shoulders, and Mo Yunqi’s breath brushed against his forehead like a feather.

Jiang Luoluo didn’t dare raise his head, feeling like a caught scumbag, and listened silently.

Sure enough, he heard Mo Yunqi’s low voice:

“Shizun, you have to take responsibility for me.”

Jiang Luoluo: “!!!”

“Does Shizun not want to?”

The other person’s voice was tinged with disappointment, and the hand gripping his shoulder trembled slightly.

“I…”

Jiang Luoluo felt more mortified than he ever had in his life. He steeled his heart and refused, “This master has no interest in matters of the heart.”

He had come to this world to win over the villainous Chu Xubai, not to enjoy a carefree romance.

He was also bound by circumstances, so it was best not to give anyone false hope.

“Then Shizun, please don’t stand in my way. If I were to see Shizun with someone else, I’d rather die here and now.”

The other person suddenly released Jiang Luoluo’s shoulder and bent to pick up the sword that had fallen to the ground.

Jiang Luoluo quickly stopped him, blurting out in desperation, “Alright, alright, I won’t be with anyone else, is that enough…?”

He only needed to gain Chu Xubai’s favor, not to actually be with him.

He just wanted to remain single and free forever.

The moment the words left his lips, the person before him wrapped him in a tight embrace, pressing his head against their chest and joyfully calling out, “Shizun!”

Jiang Luoluo’s scalp prickled with unease, regretting his hasty agreement.

He tried to push away the person clinging to him, but they clung tighter like an octopus, swearing like a pure, innocent wolf pup:

“If one day Shizun wants to abandon Qi’er, I swear I’ll go mad and kill someone…”

“I…”

Jiang Luoluo felt something was off.

Had the other person misunderstood?

He’d only promised Mo Yunqi he wouldn’t be with anyone else, not that he’d be with him in the future…

He needed to clarify things.

Jiang Luoluo patted the other person’s back, intending to explain.

But as if encouraged by this gesture, the person tightened their iron grip, turning their head to kiss his cheek, their voice trembling with barely suppressed joy, as if they’d finally obtained something they’d yearned for.

“Shizun…”

“Shizun…”

They called out his name again and again, their voice thick with affection:

“Qi’er knew… Shizun is the best…”

The words of explanation were swallowed back down. Jiang Luoluo’s mind was a complete mess.

Oh no, oh no, oh no!

He was losing control…

Outside the cave, darkness had fallen completely, obscuring even the color of the mist.

Jiang Luoluo adjusted his jade crown and sat upright on the stone bed, his fair, lustrous face flushed with a faint blush as he gazed at his youngest disciple.

He was called his youngest only because he had joined the sect later than the others. In reality, all three disciples appeared to be around the same age, though their temperaments differed slightly.

His eldest disciple, Xu Zhiyan, was pure-hearted, sunny, and cheerful. His second disciple, Chu Xubai, possessed a gentle and refined aura, like a graceful young gentleman. His youngest disciple, Mo Yunqi, was aloof and handsome, with deep-set brow bones, a high, straight nose, and eyes that radiated a captivating allure when he looked at others.

In truth, he was the most beautiful of the three.

“Why are you always staring at me, Shizun?” Mo Yunqi asked as he adjusted Jiang Luoluo’s robes, leaning in to kiss him.

Jiang Luoluo clasped his slender, white hands together, his face growing even redder.

“You mustn’t do that in public…” After a moment’s thought, he continued, “Yunqi, we—”

His face was suddenly cupped by a pair of large hands. Gazing at the magnified, handsome face before him, at Mo Yunqi’s eyes, which were filled with nothing but him, Jiang Luoluo suddenly realized that the words he was about to say would be too cruel.

“Your disciple knows.”

Mo Yunqi kissed his forehead, his voice low and obedient. “Your disciple knows everything… I’ll be good, I won’t cause Shizun any trouble…”

But for some reason, the more obedient he became, the more guilty Jiang Luoluo felt.

He was enveloped in a warm embrace, a large hand threading through his hair. His young disciple lowered his head, pressing his forehead against Jiang Luoluo’s. His sharp nose brushed against Jiang Luoluo’s.

“Your disciple won’t let them find out… I don’t want anything else… I only want Shizun…”

As the atmosphere grew increasingly intimate, Jiang Luoluo suddenly pushed him away, his long eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings. “It’s late. We should go rescue your two senior brothers…”

Mo Yunqi obediently agreed and helped him put on his cloak.

Where Jiang Luoluo couldn’t see, dark waves surged in Mo Yunqi’s obsidian eyes. His thin lips tightened, revealing a chilling killing intent:

Why does my Shizun always think about other men?
