TYMRHBDES Chapter 51

Chapter 53: The Gloomy and Obsessive Alpha Boss x Sweet and Obedient Little Omega 3

Huo Zedong’s body stiffened.

Last night, as if bewitched, he had barely been able to control himself, making several trips to the bathroom.

But a night had passed, and the bedroom’s ventilation system had been running. Surely the scent should have dissipated by now.

Why could he still smell it?

“Mr. Huo, can’t you smell it?”

The little Omega’s voice was soft and gentle. She leaned closer, sniffing again like a curious kitten, finally fixing her gaze on his palm.

Her small hands cupped his large one, and her eyes were clear and innocent. “Mr. Huo, it’s this~”

Huo Zedong’s expression was complex.

He swore he had washed his hands thoroughly, multiple times in fact.

Facing those pure eyes, he felt a pang of guilt. He rolled out of bed.

“It’s late. We should go eat breakfast.”

In the second-floor dining room, the butler, having instructed the chef to prepare extra nourishing soup, emerged from the kitchen. He looked up to see his Young Master descending the stairs with the Omega from last night.

The Butler was slightly stunned. “Young Master? Aren’t you supposed to be staying upstairs?”

For a top-tier alpha like their Young Master, the first marking usually meant staying indoors for at least three to five days. How could he be out and about after just one night?

He glanced back and saw the Omega skipping down the stairs behind their Young Master. When their eyes met, the Omega flashed a sweet smile. “Grandpa Butler~”

The Butler’s jaw dropped.

Why did this Omega look so healthy, as if nothing had happened?

Didn’t he go to the Young Master’s room last night?

How could he be perfectly fine?

Ignoring the Butler’s incredulous expression, Huo Zedong reached for Jiang Luoluo’s hand at the bottom step, signaling him to slow down.

He casually asked, “Is breakfast ready?”

The Butler reluctantly averted his gaze, repeatedly opening his mouth as if to speak, but each time swallowed his words.

“Young Master, breakfast will be served shortly.”

Huo Zedong glanced at the breakfast the maid had served, frowning. “Why are we eating something so greasy first thing in the morning?”

Jiang Luoluo craned his neck to look. “Wow, those oysters are huge!”

As the maid moved, the little Omega’s eyes grew increasingly curious, sparkling like stars. “What are those round, ball-shaped things?”

Huo Zedong followed his gaze and covered the little Omega’s eyes with his hand. “Uncle Wang, take this away.”

“Have the kitchen prepare two normal breakfasts.”

The small face beneath his palm was soft, and the lashes tickled his skin with a tingling itch.

The boy was remarkably obedient.

After his eyes were covered, he stood perfectly still, not even struggling.

Huo Zedong released his hand and led him to the dining table.

Jiang Luoluo asked curiously, “Mr. Huo, do you usually eat like this?”

Huo Zedong paused, chopsticks in hand, and gave him a meaningful look.

“No, they only made this because you’re here.”

Jiang Luoluo nodded, as if he understood. “Is this to welcome me?”

He turned around, “Thank you, Grandpa Butler~”

Faced with the innocent, naive gaze of this omega, the Butler gave a dry laugh. “Of course… of course…”

To prevent Jiang Luoluo from asking further questions, Huo Zedong handed him a glass of milk and placed it beside him. “Drink slowly.”

Butler: “Young Master, the doctor has arrived.”

Jiang Luoluo’s grip on the milk glass tightened slightly.

The doctor’s arrival meant he would soon undergo a physical examination.

And that meant Huo Zedong would soon learn he was an omega with a defective gland…

The fingertips resting on the glass curled inward, slowly tightening into a fist.

“Young Master, President Liu Guikang has also arrived.”

Huo Zedong set down his knife and fork, turning to Jiang Luoluo. “I have some matters to attend to this morning. Can you go for the examination on your own?”

Jiang Luoluo nodded, his voice still soft. “Yes, Mr. Huo.”

Only after watching Huo Zedong disappear through the doorway did Jiang Luoluo reluctantly rise from his chair.

“Grandpa Butler, where’s the doctor?”

Led by the Butler, Jiang Luoluo was brought to a room where, through the glass, he could see several doctors adjusting a complex machine. They wore sterile white coats with solemn expressions, the air thick with the smell of disinfectant.

Jiang Luoluo felt a faint heat rising in the back of his neck, and a sense of impending dread began to creep into his heart.

He reached through his shirt to touch his gland.

The Butler chuckled warmly. “Don’t worry, Young Master. It’ll be over soon, and it won’t hurt.”

Seeing the Omega’s obvious fear, the Butler couldn’t help but offer comforting words.

This was the first Omega the Young Master had brought home, and his significance to the Young Master was naturally different.

Omegas were precious and delicate creatures; it was understandable for him to be afraid of a medical examination.

Jiang Luoluo placed his fingers on the doorknob. “Grandpa Butler, I can go in by myself.”

A metal clip beeped as it attached to his finger, and a doctor placed a metal probe against his chest.

A single drop of blood was drawn and taken away for analysis. Jiang Luoluo’s gaze followed it, his anxiety rising involuntarily.

A female Beta doctor approached, gesturing for him to unbutton his shirt slightly to allow for monitoring of his gland.

“Don’t be nervous, it’s just a routine checkup,” the doctor said, her eyes smiling warmly above her mask.

The young Omega looked terrified, like a lost rabbit in the forest facing a pack of wolves.

His shirt was unbuttoned, and the young Omega obediently lowered his head.

The female Beta doctor’s smile gradually shifted from warmth to pity.

She finally understood why he seemed so frightened.

It appeared this young Omega was aware of his physical defect.

Such a flaw—one that prevented permanent marking and made pregnancy extremely difficult—was a nightmare for an Omega.

When they were young, beautiful Omegas could always find a place with an alpha, no matter which one they chose.

But as they aged and lost their beauty, with no other skills to earn a living, they were often abandoned and forced into the red-light district.

There, they faced a crueler fate.

Poor child.

Pity shone in the Beta doctor’s eyes as she gently stroked the Omega’s head.

Jiang Luoluo raised his head, his slender neck like an elegant swan’s. “Hello… will I… will I never be cured?”

The Beta doctor, feeling pity, comforted him, “Medical conclusions are based on the majority of cases, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of miracles…”

Jiang Luoluo understood her consolation and whispered, “Thank you.”

His slender fingers slowly fastened the button at his collarbone. He then asked softly, “Will Mr. Huo find out soon?”

The doctor nodded. “The results will be ready in less than ten minutes.”

“Can I deliver them to Mr. Huo myself?” The person before her bit his lip, a mistiness clouding his eyes.

She should have refused, but meeting those eyes softened her heart for a moment. “Yes, you can.”

If they delivered the report, it would be just a cold, impersonal document.

But if this pitiful Omega delivered it himself, perhaps Mr. Huo would soften.

And his future would be easier.

Jiang Luoluo’s eyes brightened, and he bit his lip again. “Thank you.”

“Professor Xu, could you come here for a moment?”

The gentle Beta doctor left, and several doctors gathered around an instrument, whispering about a particular value displayed on the screen.

“How could this be possible?”

“Our equipment is absolutely infallible.”

“But this defies all logic. There’s no such thing as 100%…”

“Is there a mistake?”

“Our instruments are absolutely infallible.”

“But this defies all common sense. Where could there possibly be a 100% match…?”

“I also suspect the instrument is malfunctioning. We’ve never seen results like this before…”

The doctor facing Jiang Luoluo gave him a scrutinizing look. Jiang Luoluo, thinking they were discussing his glands, lowered his head, his eyelashes fluttering.

Ten minutes later, the gentle Beta professor, Professor Xu, handed him a report. “We need to re-verify one of the data points. We’ll deliver the accurate results in two days. Please inform Mr. Huo.”

Jiang Luoluo nodded. Under the curious gazes of the doctors, the small figure slipped out the door.

Knowing Huo Zedong was in the study, Jiang Luoluo walked over, clutching the report.

Such light sheets of paper, yet the conclusion was so blindingly stark.

Jiang Luoluo covered the last few words with his finger, finding some comfort in doing so.

As he reached the study door, he heard a loud crash from inside—something had fallen against the door.

Jiang Luoluo immediately stood still, obediently waiting outside.

The door cracked open, and a cold voice emerged: “Did I tell you to leave?”

“Master Huo, I’m so sorry. It was my carelessness. But I truly didn’t mean for it to turn out this way…” A trembling plea for mercy came from within.

“Carelessness? You think you can brush off a multi-billion-dollar project with a single word?”

A sinister voice echoed from inside, and Jiang Luoluo could almost see the fury burning in Huo Zedong’s eyes.

The conversation in the study continued. “You dared to submit a proposal riddled with loopholes? How much did they pay you?”

“Master Huo, I was deceived by my subordinates! Otherwise, I would never have dared to show you such a thing!”

“I’ve been with you for so many years. Of course, I know you demand perfection. Even if I had ten times the courage, I wouldn’t dare try to deceive you with something so flawed…”

Outside the door, the small omega took two steps back, staring at his toes. Tears began to fall, pattering onto the report in his hands.

Flaws, defects, deception, trickery…

He was no different from the person inside.

He himself was a flawed Omega. Just minutes ago, he had foolishly hoped that Huo Zedong would still like him after seeing this report.

He had wanted to use his beauty and obedience to deceive Huo Zedong, hoping to gain his protection and affection.

He was just as despicable as that person.

Someone like him had no right to be by Mr. Huo’s side.

The report in his hand was soaked through. The little Omega hastily crumpled it into a ball and tossed it into the trash. Wiping away his tears, he turned and ran.

Whether it was from running too far or from the sweat, the gland at the back of his neck began to faintly burn.

The little Omega followed the path leading to the villa’s main gate, found a step, and sat down, intending to wipe his tears and rest before crying again.

Suddenly, his vision darkened as a figure loomed over him.
