Mr.Huo smiled and shook his head.

His son was ruthless and calculating, surpassing even his own shrewdness at a younger age.

In his twenties, Mr.Huo could still understand his son’s motives. But as Huo Zedong grew older, his thoughts became increasingly hidden, and Mr.Huo found himself unable to decipher them.

Why would he let the Little Omega go out knowing someone was watching, when he clearly valued him so much?

“Mother is soft-hearted and easily swayed,” Huo Zedong explained calmly, sensing his father’s confusion. “She wouldn’t do anything to Luoluo. If I forbid them from meeting now, she’ll only overthink things.”

“When the truth comes out later, Mother will realize she’s been deceived. Out of guilt, she’ll treat Luoluo even better.”

“Besides, they need to meet. Luoluo will eventually become part of the family, and I will marry him sooner or later.”

Huo Zedong’s voice trailed off lazily as the two tall figures walked side by side toward the exit.

“Young Master Jiang, we’ve finally found you!”

A waiter hurried over, addressing Jiang Luoluo, who had become separated from Madam Huo. “For some reason, Young Master Lin suddenly entered his heat cycle. It’s too dangerous outside, and he trusts no one. He sent me to find you!”

Jiang Luoluo hesitated.

“Here’s Young Master Lin’s phone and suppressants. You must hurry. He has an Alpha friend named Ye coming soon!”

Seeing Lin Zhiyi’s phone, which he never parted with, Jiang Luoluo knew something was seriously wrong.

An Alpha named Ye… That must be Ye Hao!

Could this be the time Ye Hao permanently marked Xiao Yi?

Damn!

Jiang Luoluo’s expression changed. “Where’s Xiao Yi? Take me there immediately!”

In a hidden corner on the second floor, Lin Zhiyi watched Jiang Luoluo disappear, a smirk playing on his lips. “Fool.”

He pulled out his phone and made a call. “Have you cleaned up the wine and candles? Leave no evidence.”

Satisfied with the response, Lin Zhiyi swirled his wine glass happily.

The glass reflected two figures approaching, but Lin Zhiyi remained oblivious.

A hand clamped over his mouth, while another caught the wine glass as it slipped from his grasp.

Lin Zhiyi’s eyes widened in terror as he struggled in vain, dragged mercilessly into the shadows…

A minute later, the waiter, seeing the spilled wine on the floor, muttered about the guest’s lack of manners and instructed a servant to clean it up immediately.

The spilled wine vanished completely, leaving no trace behind.

Staring at the familiar door, Lin Zhiyi’s eyes widened in terror.

*No!*

*Ye Hao is out of control inside!*

*He can’t go in!!*

But to frame Jiang Luoluo, he had deliberately chosen a secluded room and covered the surveillance cameras in advance. Now, there was no one passing by.

The door creaked open, and the familiar ebony scent of pheromones wafted out, permeating his nostrils.

The person holding him cursed under their breath and shoved him inside, pressing his head down.

The door slammed shut with a loud *thud*. Lin Zhiyi pounded on the door, shouting, “Let me out!”

“Help! Someone!”

“Let me out right now!!”

The ebony pheromones closed in. Ye Hao hadn’t completely lost his sanity and recognized the person before him. “Xiao Yi?”

Lin Zhiyi stiffened, turning around defensively to glare at Ye Hao with a venomous expression. “Don’t come any closer!”

Ye Hao frowned.

Lin Zhiyi had always been gentle and affectionate with him, never showing such guarded disgust.

But his body was burning hot, and his mind was clouded. He didn’t want to overthink it.

Anyway, Lin Zhiyi liked him. He must be desperate for Ye Hao to mark him.

With this thought in mind, Ye Hao dragged himself forward step by step, his voice hoarse from the torment. “Xiao Yi, you came…”

Lin Zhiyi tried to escape along the wall, but the Alpha pheromones made his legs weak, and Ye Hao nearly caught him several times.

“Don’t come any closer!” Lin Zhiyi shouted.

Ye Hao grabbed him. “Xiao Yi, let me mark you. Then we can be together forever…”

“Let go of me!” Lin Zhiyi struggled.

Ignoring his protests, Ye Hao tore open his collar, his gaze fixed on his gland. He lowered his head and pressed his lips against it.

A sense of impending doom flooded Lin Zhiyi’s mind, and he fought with all his might.

*I can’t!*

*I can’t repeat the past!*

*I can’t have anything more to do with Ye Hao!*

*I can’t let Ye Hao mark me and ruin my life!!*

The false facade he had maintained crumbled, and Lin Zhiyi slapped Ye Hao across the face with a resounding *crack*.

His eyes burned with undisguised disgust. “Get out of here! You? You think you’re worthy of marking me and being with me?”

The slap sobered Ye Hao slightly. His bloodshot eyes glared at Lin Zhiyi. “What did you say?”

He tightened his grip on Lin Zhiyi’s throat. “Not worthy? Not worthy of being with you?”

“Who was it who said they loved me? Who was it who insisted on introducing me to their parents and showing me off to everyone?”

“Young Master Lin, wasn’t it you?”

“Answer me!”

Lin Zhiyi glared at Ye Hao, his familiar face triggering memories of being abandoned, ridiculed, and exploited in his past life.

Waves of nausea washed over Lin Zhiyi. He struggled to breathe, his throat constricted, his pale face contorted with disgust. “You really thought I’d like you?”

“A penniless nobody like you can only dream of marrying a wealthy heiress. You deserve to rot in the gutter for the rest of your life!”

“Ye Hao, without me, you’re nothing!”

“You’re not even worthy of attending this banquet! You’re just a dog left barking outside the door!”

“Like you? Keep dreaming!”

Ye Hao stared at him coldly for a moment, his eyes, reddened by pheromones, looking particularly terrifying.

“So you really were using me.”

“At first, I didn’t believe the rumors. After all, you were the one who offered to introduce me to your parents.”

“That person was right. I was just your tool.”

The hand gripping Lin Zhiyi’s throat slowly loosened. Lin Zhiyi gasped for breath like a beached fish, his body already frail and now weakened further, leaning against the wall, his eyes locked on the man before him.

Who had told Ye Hao?

Where had he slipped up?

Was Ye Hao telling the truth? Or was he bluffing?

Doubtful thoughts flickered through Lin Zhiyi’s mind. With each deep breath, he slowly regained his composure.

He had greeted his mother, who would be arriving shortly.

He just needed to stall for a little longer, until his mother returned. Then he would be safe.

He would pin all the blame on Ye Hao, framing him for forcing himself on an Omega and sending him to prison.

Consumed by vengeance, he shouldn’t have had anything to do with trash like Ye Hao in the first place!

Meeting Lin Zhiyi’s contemptuous gaze, Ye Hao’s pride was deeply wounded. Gritting his teeth, he dragged Lin Zhiyi toward the sofa.

“Get lost!”

“Don’t touch me!”

“Young Master Lin, I know what you’re up to,” Ye Hao said, tearing open his shirt and forcing him to face the desk directly in front of them. “You’re stalling for time, waiting for your accomplices to rescue you.”

Lin Zhiyi’s expression flickered as Ye Hao exposed his plan.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be quick.”

Ye Hao sneered, ripping off his pants.

Lin Zhiyi grew increasingly frantic, but Ye Hao gripped his jaw, forcing him to look at the desk across the room. “See that?”

Amidst the vase on the desk, a faint red light flickered.

A sense of foreboding surged through Lin Zhiyi. Seizing his distraction, a searing pain ripped through him, and he screamed.

“This moment is truly momentous.”

Ye Hao slapped his face without mercy, then clamped his hand around his neck and sank his teeth into his gland…

“Hubby~”

Jiang Luoluo’s eyes lit up as Huo Zedong appeared around the corner. He waved at the man.

Huo Zedong didn’t turn around, so he didn’t see the waiter beside him stiffen, desperately trying to keep his head bowed.

Huo Zedong reached out and pulled his Little Omega into his arms. Jiang Luoluo tilted his head back, holding up the item in his hand for Huo Zedong to see. “Hubby~ Will you come with me to deliver Xiao Yi’s suppressants?”

“Of course.”

Huo Zedong smiled and readily agreed, his eyelashes half-lowered as he gazed at the person in his arms with indulgent affection. “Kiss your husband, and I’ll go with you.”

The Little Omega’s face slowly flushed red. His moist eyes blinked rapidly, and he tiptoed up to kiss Huo Zedong’s cheek.

The touch was soft and fleeting, a mere brush of lips before he pulled away.

Huo Zedong took Jiang Luoluo’s hand, his voice low and soothing. “Baby, why does Xiao Yi need suppressants?”

“Because he suddenly entered his heat cycle~” Jiang Luoluo replied naturally.

“Does my baby remember what I told you before? When an Omega’s pheromone disorder during their heat cycle becomes too severe, it can trigger nearby Omegas to enter their heat cycles prematurely.”

The Little Omega nodded obediently. “I remember!”

As the crisp voice faded, Jiang Luoluo realized, “So I can’t go in to help Xiao Yi?”

“Of course not.”

Huo Zedong patted his head approvingly. “At this moment, it’s best for a beta who can’t smell pheromones to go in.”

As Huo Zedong spoke, he glanced at the waiter standing nearby, who had been trembling with his head bowed in fear.

The bodyguard behind the waiter stepped forward, raised his hand slightly, and pressed the object in his hand against the waiter’s lower back.

The waiter’s face instantly turned pale, and his teeth began to chatter. “Y-Young Master Jiang… I’m a beta! Let me go!”

Jiang Luoluo looked at him, finding his expression and tone strange.

“Did you know this all along? Why didn’t you just deliver it yourself? Why did you come to me?”

Terrified by the threat behind him, the waiter stammered incoherently, “Y-Young Master Lin gave me something and told me to find you…”

“Xiao Yi gave you an inhibitor and a phone and told you to find me? Wouldn’t it have been simpler for him to just use it himself?”

The little omega’s delicate eyebrows furrowed, and a hint of doubt flashed in his clear eyes. He turned involuntarily and glanced at Huo Zedong.

💌 “One Ko-fi = One prayer for the waiter who got caught lying in 4K by the softest omega alive.”

💋 “Support me on Ko-fi, or I’ll send you into a heat cycle with Ye Hao and no suppressants!”

🥀 “Donate a Ko-fi, and I’ll personally erase the surveillance footage—just like Lin Zhiyi planned (but better).”
