Chapter 79: The Gloomy, Obsessive Alpha Boss x the Obedient, Sweet Little Omega (31)
The Little Omega, drenched and looking utterly adorable, sat obediently in the bathtub.
His delicate features were softened by the humid mist, strands of soft hair clinging to his forehead, and his eyes shone like black grapes.
Outside the tub stood a man in a black shirt.
His sleeves were rolled up, revealing strong, muscular arms. His collar was half-unbuttoned, and a small tooth mark adorned his collarbone.
“Fierce as a little puppy,” Huo Zedong observed, glancing in the mirror and smiling.
He reached out to pinch the Little Omega’s cheek, only to be met with a sharp “Awoo!” as the boy bit him.
The Little Omega’s tiny, milky-white teeth gently ground against his tiger’s mouth, a clear threat.
Huo Zedong pulled up a stool to face him. “How is it that you were the one who admitted fault, yet now you’re the one biting?”
Hearing this, the Little Omega released his hand and retorted, “You said you’d let me go if I admitted I was wrong! You’re going back on your word!”
Huo Zedong raised his hand, the glistening water droplets on his tiger’s mouth gleaming under the light.
He looked at the Little Omega in the bathtub, raised an eyebrow, and chuckled softly. “Husband didn’t hit you, that’s true.”
“But shouldn’t little kids who talk behind people’s backs be taught a lesson, don’t you think?”
“After all, a man like me—180 kilograms, only one minute—should logically be petty and hold grudges. So, what’s wrong with me proving myself?”
As he spoke, the man slowly leaned closer. “Baby.”
The Little Omega blushed under his gaze. He brushed the rose petals floating on the water over his face, then let out a soft “hmph” and turned away, leaving the man to stare at his round little head.
The man’s laughter echoed in the air, sounding like both teasing and resignation.
His head was gently ruffled.
“Call Husband to carry you out when you’re done. Don’t soak too long, or you’ll catch a cold.”
With the closing of the door, the bathroom fell quiet.
The Little Omega lay in the tub, letting out a long, comfortable sigh.
He plucked two petals and covered his eyes, closing them to rest for a moment.
One moment he was thinking about the abs of the Alphas at the club, the next about Huo Zedong’s.
He had to admit, Huo Zedong’s physique was superior—his abs were more defined, and he looked lean in clothes but muscular when undressed.
But regardless of who it was, their bodies were better than his.
He had no abs, just a soft layer of flesh on his belly.
Jiang Luoluo reached down and touched his stomach, letting out a tiny “Huh?” in surprise.
He sat up, peeled off the rose petals covering his eyes, and carefully felt his belly again.
How strange!
There was a hard lump under the skin in the middle of his stomach, about the size of an egg. Could it be the beginnings of an ab?
The Little Omega poked and prodded, finally reaching a conclusion:
“So, when men grow up, abs just grow on their own!”
He had just turned eighteen, and now he had his first ab!
If one ab grew each year, by the time he was twenty-six, he’d have eight—a true man!
His eyes sparkling, the Little Omega abandoned his bath altogether. With a splash, he rose from the tub, grabbed a towel, and wrapped himself in it.
The excited Little Omega, completely overwhelmed by the sight of his first abdominal muscle, temporarily forgot his grudge against Huo Zedong for hurting him. He flung open the bathroom door and rushed out.
“Husband~”
Like a toy launched by a spring, he threw himself at Huo Zedong.
“Husband! Look at my abs!”
Huo Zedong thought he was joking and pulled him onto his lap. “So even someone who eats snacks for every meal and sleeps until noon every day can get abs…”
Little Omega grabbed his hand and pressed it against his stomach. “Look! Right here!”
Then he waited eagerly for Huo Zedong’s reaction.
Huo Zedong stroked his belly, a faint trace of worry furrowing his brow.
This child… he seemed a little bigger than before.
In a few days, it will be time for their appointment with the doctor.
His baby still knew nothing, happily believing his new abs had grown in.
Huo Zedong couldn’t bear to look into those bright eyes any longer. He pressed his head against his chest and pulled him into a tight embrace.
The Little Omega in his arms didn’t notice his change in mood. His voice was clear and crisp. “Huo Zedong, aren’t I amazing~?”
Huo Zedong stroked his head and hummed in agreement. “Baby is amazing,” he said.
The Little Omega asked curiously, “Why didn’t anyone tell me that men grow abs automatically when they get older?”
“Husband, will my abs be as beautiful as yours someday?”
Huo Zedong’s large hands patted the Little Omega’s back rhythmically. Jiang Luoluo nestled obediently in his arms, occasionally blurting out something that made Huo Zedong chuckle.
But the man holding him wore a grim expression, his eyes half-closed.
His long lashes cast a deep shadow across his cheeks, concealing the fathomless darkness in his gaze.
The cheerful Little Omega was always full of energy.
Lately, he’d been receiving regular checkups from doctors and taking various health supplements. Aside from the occasional bout of morning sickness, he was back to his usual vibrant self.
Every day, he’d learn baking, watch movies, and occasionally play games.
And, most importantly, he spent his days happily with Huo Zedong.
His phone buzzed. Seeing Madam Huo’s name on the screen, Jiang Luoluo’s good mood faltered for a moment.
Not long ago, Madam Huo had showered him with delicious treats, fun toys, and even several luxury brand accessories from their latest autumn/winter collection.
He’d thought she had finally accepted him.
But just a few days later, her true colors were revealed.
She claimed she didn’t object to Huo Zedong being with him and even said she liked him very much.
However, Huo Zedong was already 32 years old, and the Huo family needed a new heir.
Since he couldn’t bear children, she had half-pleadingly, half-sternly asked him to persuade Huo Zedong to have a child with someone else.
Jiang Luoluo had, of course, refused.
Huo Zedong was his husband. How could he possibly share him with another person?
Madam Huo had sent another message. Most likely, it was still about the same thing.
Jiang Luoluo unlocked his phone and read the message. His delicate eyebrows furrowed, and his cheeks puffed up like little buns.
Madam Huo had changed her mind. She now hoped Jiang Luoluo could persuade Huo Zedong to undergo IVF. She even offered to raise the child herself.
The Little Omega pursed his lips and silently typed out his reply.
He refused.
Then, feeling utterly exhausted, he stuffed his phone into his pocket and wandered alone into the garden to play.
His little butterfly had grown noticeably larger, but lately, it had lost its enthusiasm for flying. It just stood lazily on its perch, motionless.
The Little Omega poked it gently, but it didn’t respond. He then turned and headed toward the small orchard.
The Gardener Uncle hired by the villa was a true jack-of-all-trades. He could tend to flowers, raise bees and butterflies, and grow fruits and vegetables. Huo Zedong had specifically set aside a plot of land for him to cultivate Jiang Luoluo’s favorite fruits.
The strawberries were already ripe, their crimson berries nestled beneath the strawberry leaves. Jiang Luoluo walked past them without taking his eyes off the hawthorn tree at the edge of the orchard.
Most of the hawthorn fruits had already been picked. Jiang Luoluo circled the tree twice before finding the reddest one. He stood on tiptoe to pluck it.
“Young Master eats too quickly. The fruit can’t keep up,” Gardener Uncle chuckled from nearby. “Tomorrow, I’ll ask the Steward to approve transplanting more hawthorn trees.”
Jiang Luoluo nodded obediently, like a greedy little kitten. He reached out and plucked another fruit, wiping it on his palm before popping it into his mouth.
“Uncle, will the fruit from the new hawthorn trees be as sour as this one?”
Gardener Uncle set down his hoe. “Rest assured, Young Master. I’ll choose the sourest ones for you.”
“But you shouldn’t eat such sour things every day. It’s not good for your stomach.”
Jiang Luoluo nodded emphatically. “That’s why I always feel nauseous.”
“Nauseous?” Gardener Uncle wiped his sweat. “My wife used to feel nauseous and throw up all the time when she was pregnant. She couldn’t eat anything but sour things.”
“I planted two hawthorn trees right outside our door. She loved them and would stroll over every day to pick a few.”
“But pregnant women shouldn’t eat too much hawthorn. It’s not good for the baby. If Young Master were to become pregnant, you’d need to be careful.”
Jiang Luoluo listened quietly, then smiled at him. “Don’t worry, Uncle. I’m perfectly fine.”
As he turned to look for any remaining hawthorns on the tree, a voice echoed in his mind.
*Luo Luo, do you really think you’re fine?*
*Don’t you think your reactions are too similar to pregnancy?*
*I’ve worked with hosts from ABO worlds and even Immortal Cultivation worlds who were forced to take Pregnancy Pills. Their symptoms after conceiving were exactly like yours.*
The Little Omega replied softly, “But I have a physical defect. I can’t get pregnant. The character settings can’t be wrong, can they?”
The System fell silent for two seconds.
*In other people’s worlds, the character settings are always correct. But yours might be different.*
The Little Omega blinked in confusion.
*The villain you’re pursuing is… not quite like the ones others pursue.*
In the hospital, Jiang Luoluo stared at the report, his heart racing.
The doctor sighed patiently. “Where’s your Alpha? Why didn’t he come with you?”
“What have you two been doing? It’s been almost three months, and you still don’t know? Have you been intimate recently?”
“The first three months are the most dangerous. You absolutely must be careful. Fortunately, the fetus has already formed…”
Seeing the Little Omega’s bewildered expression, the doctor softened his tone and gave him a long lecture, reminding him to come back for regular checkups.
As he left the hospital, his hands trembled.
A baby!
It was so magical—suddenly, he had a baby!
Back at the villa, Jiang Luoluo clutched the report tightly, his heart soaring like a little bird. He followed the Steward’s directions toward the dining room.
Huo Zedong still didn’t know! He was going to give him a surprise!
He quickened his pace, then remembered the doctor’s warning and slowed down, gently touching his belly. A sweet smile played on his lips as he reached the dining room door.
Inside, he heard a familiar voice: “I won’t keep this child.”
T/N: Ohhhh…. the story is becoming juicy….. finally some drama more than conquering the lao gong!
