Chapter 91: The Gloomy and Obsessive Alpha Boss x Sweet and Obedient Little Omega 43
When Jiang Luoluo arrived at the office building, yellow police tape had already been strung up.
The urgent beeping of the alarm grated on his nerves.
During a top-tier Alpha’s rut, their pheromones would be released uncontrollably. These potent pheromones could be lethal to ordinary Alphas and Omegas, even triggering an immediate heat cycle in any Omega who inhaled them.
Fortunately, Omegas rarely appeared in their office building. In this world, Omegas were typically kept at home or out shopping and taking photos with their friends, never in such a place.
But the building’s Alphas were suffering.
Suppressed by the top-tier Alpha’s pheromones, they struggled to breathe, their heads splitting with pain. Some even collapsed to their knees, clutching their own throats in a desperate attempt to regain control.
Jiang Luoluo couldn’t bear to witness such a scene. He sprinted through the chaos, leaving the Beta guards who had escorted him far behind, following the trail of pheromones.
By the time he reached the top floor, even the Beta assistant, who couldn’t detect the pheromones, was struggling to move, trapped inside the elevator.
The Little Omega ignored him and pushed open the office door.
The terrifying pheromone was overwhelming, its aggression too intense. His legs went weak, and he leaned against the doorframe as he stepped inside.
No one was at the desk.
The Little Omega scanned the room quickly, his delicate brow furrowing.
This room had the strongest pheromone, yet Huo Zedong was nowhere to be found.
He took two hesitant steps forward, calling out softly, “Husband?”
“Are you here, Husband?”
Through the glass partition, on the sofa nestled among a pile of pillows, something stirred. Jiang Luoluo looked up to see Huo Zedong’s eyes bloodshot, clutching a small doll and gazing at him.
His voice was hoarse, as if he were rarely being affectionate:
“Wife…”
The Little Omega pushed the door open and rushed inside. Before he could reach the sofa, the Alpha sprang forward, pulling him into a tight embrace.
The Little Omega had successfully replaced the doll, now held in the Alpha’s arms. Huo Zedong’s sharp nose nuzzled into his shoulder, his voice unnaturally rough, almost fragile.
“Wife…”
“Wife… why did you take so long to come…”
With a hint of aggrieved complaint, Huo Zedong’s strong arms tightened around him in a tight embrace.
“Do you only want the baby…?”
“Wife… do you not love me anymore…?”
Huo Zedong’s uncharacteristic behavior left the Little Omega utterly flustered.
During the journey, he had learned the basics about Alphas’ rutting season.
During this period, Alphas could experience terrifying destructive urges, possessiveness, aggression, and other negative states. In the most severe cases, they could even lose their sanity.
Especially for an Alpha like Huo Zedong, who already caused so much destruction just by staying still in his office, immediate isolation was crucial.
They would also crave Omega comfort intensely.
The Little Omega’s heart steadied.
His husband still recognized him; things weren’t that dire yet.
He imitated Huo Zedong’s usual affectionate gestures, wrapping his arms around the Alpha’s lean waist and kissing his cheek. “I’m sorry, husband.”
“I was late, husband.”
A drop of water slid down Huo Zedong’s face, landing on the Little Omega’s lips. The Little Omega froze, then looked up at the tall man whose eyes were red and tear-filled. He quickly wrapped his arms tightly around him.
“I’m sorry, husband. Baby should have come sooner…”
“Baby loves you, forever loves you…”
“Huo Zedong will always be Jiang Luoluo’s favorite person…”
He repeated these words over and over, trying to soothe the Alpha in his sensitive period.
Huo Zedong’s thin lips were pressed tightly together, his gaunt face sharp and cold, but his eyes were red and heartbreaking.
As far back as he could remember, he had never cried.
But now, he couldn’t stop the tears from welling up. His tear ducts had become incredibly sensitive, and his whole body felt like it was being electrocuted.
He knew men shouldn’t cry, that it was embarrassing, but he couldn’t control his emotions. Helplessly, he wept in front of his Little Omega.
The Little Omega cradled his face tenderly, kissing him clumsily.
“Baby will take husband home…”
“We’ll go back right away…”
“Baby will stay with husband… We don’t need these dolls anymore…”
In the past, he used to accompany Huo Zedong to work and often sat on the small sofa, hugging dolls while watching dramas. That’s why this place carried a slightly stronger trace of his pheromones.
Hearing this, Huo Zedong embraced him again.
Like a giant puppy, yet also like a tamed lion, he nuzzled his nose against the hollow of the little omega’s neck, his voice hoarse.
“Want wife…”
Realizing the alpha was eyeing his glands, the little omega knew he couldn’t waste any more time there.
He kissed the alpha’s cheek, gently patting his back.
“Can we go home now?”
“Husband, will you take your baby home?”
Huo Zedong’s voice was hesitant, almost like a jealous pout, as he bargained with him. “Just you and me?”
The little omega nodded. “Just you and me.”
As if afraid he was lying, Huo Zedong repeated, “Just you and me, no that annoying little brat.”
“Okay~”
The little omega agreed readily, taking Huo Zedong’s hand. “No baby, just husband and me.”
Outside, several Alphas who hadn’t managed to leave yet were still milling about. Huo Zedong glanced in their direction, his crimson eyes flashing with a bloodthirsty gleam. The hand resting on the Little Omega’s waist tightened slightly.
“Hurry! Get him out of here!”
“Don’t let him provoke Mr. Huo!”
A swarm of Betas scrambled to comply, eager to remove the Alpha from Huo Zedong’s sight as quickly as possible.
“Husband…”
The Little Omega’s voice was soft, his small hand clutching Huo Zedong’s finger as he gazed at him with concern.
Huo Zedong withdrew his hostile gaze and obediently let the Little Omega lead him into the car.
“Madam, Mr. Huo is in your care now.”
The assistant stood by the car window, wanting to say more, but Huo Zedong’s cold glare made him swallow his words.
*Mr. Huo’s gaze is terrifying!*
*I just said a few words, but it felt like he thought I was trying to steal his wife!*
The assistant left, and the driver, trembling, started the car. “S-So, we’re leaving now?”
Huo Zedong’s unfriendly gaze swept coldly over him, making the driver even more nervous.
*I’m just a Beta!*
*What does Young Master want with that cannibalistic look?*
The Little Omega quickly raised the partition, blocking the Alpha’s view.
Holding Huo Zedong’s hand, the little omega spoke softly, “Husband, let’s go home.”
Their little cub had been taken away by Father Huo and Mother Huo earlier that morning.
The vast villa felt empty, even the usual cleaning staff and gardeners had vanished, likely arranged by the butler.
As they stepped out of the car, the little omega was about to take Huo Zedong’s hand and walk inside when he suddenly found himself swept up in a horizontal embrace.
Huo Zedong’s long legs, encased in dark slacks, moved swiftly, as if in a hurry.
The little omega could only cling tightly to his neck.
The bedroom door was kicked open, and the little omega was gently placed on the bed.
Huo Zedong turned back to close and lock the door before turning back to face him.
His chest beneath his shirt rose and fell rapidly as he embraced the little omega tightly.
Jiang Luoluo quickly returned the embrace.
During his absence, the butler had already brought in all the supplies and food they might need during his heat. The sheer volume of it made him a little nervous.
Huo Zedong’s breath brushed against his neck, and his alpha pheromones, out of control, filled the entire bedroom.
His voice was hoarse as he leaned in to kiss Jiang Luoluo’s lips.
“Wife…”
“I love you… Wife…”
“Can’t you just love me… wife?”
“I love you so much… wife…”
After an unknown number of days and nights spent in a daze, Jiang Luoluo would wake up disoriented, only to fall back into a deep sleep again and again.
The Little Omega couldn’t even lift his fingers. Huo Zedong carried him in his arms to wash up, to eat, and then tilted his chin up to kiss him.
This cycle repeated endlessly.
Jiang Luoluo even suspected that Huo Zedong was deliberately doing this to punish him for refusing him during their recent estrangement.
The night sky in late March was stunning, filled with twinkling stars.
The moon hid behind the clouds, revealing only a sliver of its yellow tip, with a single star perched atop it.
The blanket on the bay window was thick and warm. The Little Omega, cradled in his Alpha’s arms, gazed at the moonlit scene in quiet contemplation.
His pointed chin was half-hidden within the cocoon of blankets, leaving only his moist, almond-shaped eyes visible, shimmering with a layer of mist.
The corners of his eyes were flushed red.
Huo Zedong held him close, as if cradling a priceless treasure, kissing him slowly, one gentle kiss after another.
The Little Omega lazily tilted his head, his gaze falling on Huo Zedong’s collarbone. Beside it was a tattoo, neither too big nor too small—
his bite mark.
He’d snuck out that time, and when Huo Zedong found him, he’d been angry and bitten him.
It had even bled back then.
The Little Omega reached out a finger and traced the black tattoo.
The red, swollen mark from before was long gone. The skin beneath the tattoo was smooth and flawless, having healed perfectly.
It had been just days after they’d registered their marriage. When he saw Huo Zedong’s tattoo, he’d been completely stunned.
But Huo Zedong had simply held him close, kissing the corner of his mouth.
He’d said that every mark left by his precious wife was the best kind.
The Little Omega’s finger traced the shape of the tattoo again and again before being caught by the Alpha’s large hand and brought to his lips for a kiss.
