RRMGEH Chapter 11

It Was Achieved in Less Than Two Months With Zhou Li

There was no choice. Apart from this place, Gu Changheng had nowhere else to go, and someone with Zhou Li’s character would never ask him to leave.

One night, Zhou Li was sitting on the sofa in the living room and watching a travel program about Tibet on TV.

As Gu Changheng passed through the living room on his way from the master bedroom to the balcony, he suddenly stopped and looked at the TV screen. He had wanted to go to Tibet for a long time, probably since high school. Zhao Yunfeng had promised him that they would go together once he was done with his work.

Looking back now, Zhao Yunfeng was probably just brushing him off. He probably never really intended to go with him.

It was pathetic that he had waited for Zhao Yunfeng to finish his work at the company and fulfill his promise.

What was even more tragic was that he had been with Zhao Yunfeng for so many years, and after being cheated on, he found himself with no money and didn’t even have the resources for a spontaneous trip to Tibet.

It seemed he would have to live with this regret for the rest of his life.

His life was indeed ridiculous.

The next morning, during breakfast, Zhou Li suddenly said, “Young Master Gu, since I don’t have to work right now and have nothing to do, I really want to take a trip to Tibet. It’s boring to go alone. How about you come with me?”

Gu Changheng, who was holding a bowl and eating, stopped chewing and stared at Zhou Li in surprise. Zhou Li looked cautious, as if he was afraid of being rejected.

Gu Changheng suddenly realized that his longing gaze while watching the Tibet program last night in the living room must have revealed his hidden desire to Zhou Li.

But Zhou Li was a considerate person after all. He understood that Gu Changheng had fallen from grace, but he asked him to accompany him, giving him enough face.

Seeing Gu Changheng staring at him without responding, Zhou Li’s face gradually flushed red. He felt that he might have made a mistake again and lowered his head.

Gu Changheng pulled the corners of his lips into a smile and said, “Sure, I also want to go to Tibet.”

Zhou Li looked up and suddenly became excited. He gestured wildly and said, “I already found a travel route map last night. I’ll book the tickets today, and we can set off tomorrow. If you like Tibet, we can stay there longer.”

Gu Changheng smiled and said, “Okay.”

Zhou Li was a man of action. After receiving Gu Changheng’s “approval,” he immediately started booking tickets online and occasionally asked Gu Changheng for his opinions.

The next day, they boarded a plane to Lhasa Tibet and arrived that afternoon.

A dream that had not been fulfilled for more than ten years with Zhao Yunfeng was achieved in less than two months with Zhou Li.

When Gu Changheng first arrived, despite taking medicine in advance, he still experienced severe altitude sickness. But this did not dampen his good mood.

After all, the place he had been longing for most of his life was right in front of him. The highlands, snow-capped mountains, and endless clear blue skies that he could only see in pictures were now all laid out before Gu Changheng. To say he wasn’t excited would be a lie.

Under the boundless blue sky, he felt so small, and all worries and troubles seemed nothing.

At this moment, Gu Changheng suddenly felt that Zhao Yunfeng meant nothing to him. He suddenly realized that it was not worthy to spend his whole life for such a scumbag and be depressed until his death.

The melancholy that had weighed heavily on Gu Changheng since his breakup vanished in an instant.
