“What do you mean, asking me to take care of a child for you?” Song Wei came out of the gym, unscrewed the water bottle and took a few sips as listened to the phone perched between his head and shoulders.
“Lu Yan’s short-term lease expired, and he’s taken a fancy to your community,” Lu Yunye explained on the other end. “The location is quite convenient, with supermarkets and gyms, so it’s no problem for him to stay there temporarily. Since you’re more familiar with the area, help me watch him.”
“Sure, no problem. I’m good at being a babysitter, as long as there is enough money.” Song Wei turned into the elevator, and the call was disrupted for a while. The phone was still on, and he was bored holding up the phone.
Song Wei had just finished exercising and took a shower at the gym downstairs. His body was steaming, and the veins on his neck hadn’t disappeared. Holding a large bag of bread, an omega in the elevator peeked at him from between the two baguettes, as if wondering why this alpha-looking person didn’t have any pheromones.
The elevator door opened, and Song Wei swaggered out. Before the door closed, he showed his big white teeth at the omega in the elevator, and took out the key leisurely after teasing the blushing omega.
On the phone, Lu Yunye’s laughing and scolding came out later: “You should stop doing this kind of thing. If you watch him for me, you can take your pick of the toys in my private collection.”
All soldiers love guns, and Lu Yunye has his own shooting range, where he collects guns from around the world. Song Wei was satisfied with the trade. “No problem, which room does Xiao Lulu[mfn]Lu Yan[/mfn] live in? You have to tell me the house number.”
“Wait, let me take a look.” Lu Yunye fell silent, probably looking through his phone.
Song Wei raised his eyes, and saw a man standing in the corridor with his head lowered. His profile was a bit familiar.
Hearing the movement, the man also raised his head to look over, his light blue eyes dilated in surprise.
“You don’t need to look for it, I’ve seen him.” Song Wei said into the phone and hung up.
Lu Yan’s expression immediately became unpredictable: “Are you following me?”
“I live here.” Song Wei shook the key in his hand, not intending to tell him about Lu Yunye’s instructions.
Children today like to be independent. If he knows that Big Brother is worried and secretly asks people to watch him, he may be unhappy.
But Lu Yan obviously didn’t believe what he said. Even if he wasn’t as proficient in Chinese as his mother tongue, he could still make out what was said. “Who is Xiao Lulu?”
“Who is who?” Song Wei lowered his head and opened the door. After opening it, he seemed to remember something, then turned his head and asked, “Why are you standing there? You forgot the key?”
Ever since Lu Yan fell into his arms with a bouquet of flowers at the wedding, this kid has been inexplicably opposing him. He even drops comments randomly in their circle of friends. Song Wei guessed that he probably wants to get back the face he lost back then.
Sure enough, Lu Yan was silent for a moment before giving up and saying, “My lock is broken.”
There are four households on the first floor, and only his room is rented out. The landlord saw that he was living alone, so he changed the combination lock very considerately. As a result, after several tries, there was no response at all – the lock broke.
There was a huge suitcase parked next to Lu Yan. He must have been waiting outside for a long time. His nose turned red from the cold, and paired with two watery blue eyes, he looked very much like Lulu the little match seller[mfn]reference to the fairytale the matchstick girl[/mfn].
Song Wei opened the door to his own condo, put the water bottle and towel on the shoe cabinet at the door, and walked over. “Let me take a look.”
Lu Yan entered the password without hesitation in front of him, but the lock still did not respond.
“The password is wrong.” Lu Yan frowned. “The landlord’s phone cannot be reached.”
Song Wei didn’t say a word. He reached out and touched the bottom of the combination lock. As expected, he found a small button. After pressing for a while, the screen of the combination lock lit up. “Welcome home, please enter the password.”
“The device was turned off just now, it should work now.”
Lu Yan was stunned for a moment. Obviously, he didn’t expect that the lock had to be turned out before entering the password. This kind of fucking thing is too embarrassing, and made him lose face in front of Song Wei again.
Song Wei helped him carry the suitcase into the house, and then went back to his door. “I live next door, if you need any help in the future, feel free to bother… come to me.”
Lu Yan rolled his blue eyes and said vigilantly, “My brother said that, right?”
Song Wei smiled, noncommittal.
“Oh, I’m going to throw a housewarming party this weekend. Come and join me in the bar downstairs.” Lu Yan said.
Throwing a housewarming after changing apartments – as expected, he’s still a child. Song Wei waved backhandedly: “I’ll come if I have nothing to do.”
That being said, Song Wei usually has a lot of free time, and Lu Yunye is his only regular customer. He has long since ceased to be a front-line doctor in the hospital. Now he is engaged in handling pharmaceuticals and logistics, and he attends conferences whenever he is free.
On the weekend, he ruffled his hair and put on a coat casually. Lu Yan’s friends are probably children who are seven or eight years younger than him. Song Wei took out his gold-rimmed glasses and put them on.
He wants nothing to do with children, so he might as well be more mature. He bought these glasses for the show. The circle is full of old hands[mfn]as in a lot of people who know how to play and are experienced[/mfn], so he’d better pretend to be a bit bookish.
After serving as a soldier, arrogance seemed to be engraved in his bones. Others might seem like a professor wearing the same camel-colored overcoat with gold-rimmed glasses, but he could be considered a yuppie at best.
In the end, he took down a black velvet box from the antique rack. When he opened it, there was a beautiful sapphire brooch. He bought it in Europe when he went for an academic exchange.
The cut surface of the gem is perfect, and with the flow of light and shadow, it flits between dark and light blue, like a rippling sea. Looking at the brooch, he was inexplicably reminded of Lu Yan’s eyes.
Lu Yan has definitely played around, and may not appreciate it, but since the other party invited him, he can’t go empty-handed, and it would be nice to find an owner for the gem.
Although the place is technically a bar, it’s actually more like a club. The entrance is narrow, and the inside is cavernous. Turning in from the winding corridor, even though there are sound-proof blankets and sound-absorbing walls along the way, restless music can still be heard outside.
Song Wei rubbed the center of his brows. He started to maintain his health in his thirties, and hasn’t come to this kind of place for a long time. Seeing the familiar drink glasses and toys on the table, it’s better to keep one’s heart calm, so he went upstairs and entered the room with one look.
The little omega on the dance floor swayed hotly, attracting onlookers. His body was dripping with sweat, and must have been dancing for a long time.
This time, the protagonist sat on the leather sofa, with an empty cocktail glass in front of him, apparently they had already finished a round of drinking.
Lu Yan doesn’t have many friends in China, but he likes to play and has a good personality. Within half a year, he met many people to play with. Seeing Song Wei arrive, he hugged the omega in his arms and greeted, “Come, neighbor, sit here.”
It was hot in the box, so Song Wei took off his coat and caught a glimpse of Lu Yan wearing a sleek black silk shirt. The fabric was smooth, the three top buttons were unbuttoned, and the skin inside was dazzlingly white.
The light in the bar was ambiguous and flickering. Song Wei took a closer look and vaguely saw something tattooed on Song Wei’s skin.
He knew that Lu Yan liked to play, and caught a glimpse of it when they played at the island last time. He didn’t expect that the kid would restrain himself in front of his elder brother and brother-in-law that time. Sure enough, North America is a big dye vat.
Sensing his gaze, Lu Yan smiled and hooked his fingers: “If you can’t see clearly, you can come over and have a look.”
The little omega who was leaning beside him also laughed. Exposed, Song Wei didn’t hide it and openly asked, “What’s the tattoo?”
Lu Yan unbuttoned another button, revealing a long-stemmed rose.
The stem and thorns were revealed before, with the rose in full bloom around the collarbone. With the addition of a black shirt and white skin, it is inexplicably both holy and coquettish.
It’s really good.
“Does the tattoo look good?” Lu Yan asked.
Song Wei nodded: “Very good.”
“You don’t have a tattoo?”
“It’s not allowed in the army.” Song Wei said honestly.
Lu Yan is indeed very interesting. When he was in his twenties, he liked to play tricks with people in this way. If they met a few years earlier, he might have abducted him back home.
“You’re not there anymore, can’t you get one now?” The omega insisted.
“I will return if called upon[mfn]to the army[/mfn], I am a very disciplined person.” Song Wei lied with his eyes wide open.
Seeing those blue eyes smiling at him, Song Wei thought of the sapphire. He took out the velvet box from his pocket, and deftly changed the subject: “Here, to celebrate your housewarming.”
Before Lu Yan stretched out his hand, the little omega next to him snatched the box first, leaning on him coquettishly: “Brother Lu, this box is really exquisite.”
This is to ask him for something.
Lu Yan has always been generous, and is generous with all the little omega he’s been with. Song Wei sighed secretly, not because it was a pity that the gift was not delivered, but because anyone other than Lu Yan would not match the goods as well.
Lu Yan picked up the omega’s chin, pulled him in, tasted the chattering lips, and took the box back with one hand. “Good boy, there will be rewards if you perform well tonight.”
The omega was so overwhelmed by the kiss that he slumped limply in his arms like water.
There are very few omega tops, and Lu Yan is one of them. The soft abdomen is covered with a thin layer of abdominal muscles. Although his hardware is not as good as an alpha, he was skilled enough to be known in the North American circle, and quickly gained a large number of followers after returning.
Omegas are more considerate than alphas and betas, understand the needs of the same kind better, and won’t use pheromones to oppress people. The little omegas who’ve dated him have no bad things to say.
Opening the box, Lu Yan’s eyes lit up when he saw what was inside. He obviously liked it.
Song Wei had a smile on his lips. A child is a child, and his emotions are all on his face without hiding anything.
The Song Wei x Lu Yan extras are very long. There’s 4 of them each of which are longer than usual chapters.
