Renjou, smiling broadly, looked at Ao with a sidelong glance.
“Renjou’ll kill you.”
Renjou leapt at Ao, who was stumbling backward in a trembling panic.
A punch landed on Ao’s solar plexus, and he collapsed sideways, unconscious.
As Renjou was about to kick Ao in the head, Kagura held him in a tight grip. Renjou then jumped backward, half-carrying Kagura with him. The back of Kagura’s head and his back slammed violently into the container wall.
It was a self-destructive move that should have inflicted incredible damage to his body, especially with the knife still embedded in his injured right side, yet Renjou showed no restraint at all.
The container slammed against them two, three, four times.

After saying that, Zero looked at Ao, who was lying unconscious, and then glared at Kagura. The expression aimed at Renjou was one of ferocious intensity, one Kagura had never seen before. In the depths of those eyes, a terrifying reaction was taking place.

Renjou spat on Zero’s face.

Zero’s grip on the knife handle tightened, and Renjou’s breathing became erratic.

Kagura squatted down, his back against the wall.
He couldn’t accept that Zero was going to kill Renjou. It was that selfish thought alone that led to Renjou’s escape, even though he would continue to cause harm to Enwu in the future.

No matter how close he got to the fence, he could never reach the same place as Zero.
“I’m sorry…”
Zero didn’t respond.
Kagura went over to Ao and checked on him.
“He’s just unconscious.”
Letting out a sigh of relief, Zero gently stroked Ao’s head.
