CFRFGC Chapter 133

Proposal (2)

⌈”No, that’s my boyfriend.”⌋

Lu Ran froze for a moment.

He looked up at Ji Min in shock.

After a while, he exclaimed, “You really kissed me?”

Ji Min: “…”

Who had just orchestrated a life-or-death drama for him moments ago?

Before long, this mud-covered guy was taking advantage and playing coy.

With a cheeky grin, he looked at Ji Min and said: “That’s it, Ji Min. You’re not clean anymore. No more kisses from you.”

Ji Min raised his eyebrows high.

“I haven’t even complained about you and now you’re complaining about me?”

With that, he grabbed Lu Ran’s face again and gave him a few more retaliatory kisses.

The cow, which had just recovered: “…”

If the robust bovine had thoughts, it would probably be questioning its own existence.

I’m sick, not dead! Even if I were dead, wouldn’t I still be an eyesore?!

It wasn’t until the farm owner and other veterinarians rushed over after hearing the commotion that Ji Min and Lu Ran finally stepped out of the barn together.

When the farm owner saw the stains on Ji Min’s clothes, he nearly fainted.

He had no idea what had happened and thought perhaps the cow, in its distress, had accidentally kicked Ji Min.

A sick cow was concerning, but offending Ji Min was a far bigger issue.

The farm owner stammered nervously, “Mr. Ji, your clothes… Let me arrange a room for you to clean up and change!”

As he spoke, he was about to make the arrangements.

Ji Min tugged at his stained blazer and glanced at a certain troublemaker beside him.

“No need,” he said. “Who caused it should handle it.”

“Uh?” The farm owner was stunned and hesitantly looked at the cow on the ground.

Could he possibly mean the cow?

Soon, Lu Ran finished his handover responsibilities.

The farm owner watched in disbelief as the esteemed Mr. Ji followed an intern to the nearby dormitory block.

The farm was large and this particular internship group wasn’t too big, so each student was lucky enough to have their own single dorm room.

However, the rooms were quite small, containing only a bed.

Fortunately, each room came with a private bathroom.

Before even stepping into the dorm, Lu Ran took off his filthy white coat and tossed it aside.

Ji Min slowly removed his jacket while taking in the room’s modest setup.

After a moment, he asked with some concern, “The bed is so narrow. Doesn’t it get uncomfortable for you to sleep on?”

Lu Ran didn’t hold back, replying, “Thanks, but as long as no one’s messing with me, I won’t fall off, no matter how narrow the bed is.”

With that, he grabbed his change of clothes and headed for the bathroom. “I still have things to do later, so I’m showering first.”

Ji Min nodded. “Go ahead. I won’t fight you for it.”

Lu Ran stepped into the bathroom and turned on the shower, waiting for the water to heat up.

The water and electricity setup here couldn’t compare to the downtown area. It took a while for the hot water to come through.

After what felt like ages, the hot water finally arrived. Lu Ran had barely been showering for two minutes when—

Click.

The bathroom door opened.

The guy who had so confidently claimed he wouldn’t compete for the shower squeezed his tall frame through the doorway.

Lu Ran: “…”

The single dormitory bathroom was already cramped, just barely enough for one person. With Ji Min, a man over 1.9 meters tall, stepping in, there was absolutely no space left.

Lu Ran was in the middle of soaping himself up.

Seeing this, he nearly rolled his eyes to the back of his head.

“Didn’t you say you wouldn’t fight me for it?” he snapped.

Ji Min had already removed his tie, unbuttoned his black shirt entirely, and left it hanging loose. Though he hadn’t untucked his shirt, his belt was undone, dangling casually as he walked in.

Hearing Lu Ran’s complaint, the man replied matter-of-factly as he approached the toilet, “You keep showering. I’m just here to use the bathroom.”

Lu Ran stopped mid-wash and stared at him.

After a moment, he flung a handful of foam at Ji Min and scolded, “Don’t you have any shame?”

Ji Min, as usual in such situations, was perfectly honest: “Nope.”

The bathroom was ridiculously small. Ji Min raised his arm and his fingers instantly found themselves covered in the soapy foam.

“I just cleaned that spot! Did you even wash your hands?” Lu Ran grumbled.

“I’ll wash them later,” Ji Min replied nonchalantly.

The old bathroom had slippery tiles underfoot and white ceramic walls that bore traces of water stains.

The entire setup felt particularly… precarious.

The sound of running water echoed softly.

After a while, Lu Ran suddenly remembered something important.

Frowning, he urged Ji Min, “Go out and grab that.”

Ji Min paused, then replied, “I didn’t bring it.”

Lu Ran: “…”

He looked astonished. “You didn’t bring it?”

“What kind of tone is that?” Ji Min rapped him lightly on the head and said irritably,

“I’m here to pick you up from the farm, not for that. What kind of person do you think I am, carrying that kind of thing everywhere?”

Lu Ran couldn’t help it and buried his face in Ji Min’s neck, laughing. “Maybe you should start carrying it. A man should know his limits.”

Ji Min clicked his tongue in annoyance and scooped him up without warning.

A moment later.

The weather was hot and the space was cramped. Lu Ran covered his mouth, his face turning bright red from holding back.

Ji Min, unable to watch any longer, reached out to pull his hand away.

Lu Ran took a deep breath but immediately covered his mouth again.

“Is it that serious?” Ji Min asked, half amused, half exasperated.

Lu Ran turned his head, quietly catching his breath before muttering, “Do you even know how bad the soundproofing in this place is?”

Forget about the room next door; even the mooing of the cows in the nearby barn was crystal clear.

Ji Min, realizing the issue, turned up the shower to full blast and even opened the faucet in the sink.

However, the person clinging to him protested again, “Hey, hey, hey! The water bill here is really expensive!”

Ji Min: “…”

What else could he do? To save water and achieve peace, he leaned in and used a physical method to silence Lu Ran’s complaints.

Perhaps because both of them were meticulous about cleanliness, the combination of showering and cleaning up took a full two hours.

When they finally stepped out of the bathroom, Lu Ran practically flew out, hastily pulling on his clothes without even drying his hair.

“Slow down,” Ji Min said, steadying him with a hand.

“I can’t. If I don’t get out now, my supervisor will probably come looking for me in the dorm,” Lu Ran replied.

Hearing that, Ji Min imagined the awkwardness of such a scene and fell silent for a moment.

The day’s assessment was over and there were plenty of tasks to handle.

Logically, they shouldn’t have wasted those two hours.

But Lu Ran glanced at Ji Min.

The man, wrapped in a towel, sat on the edge of the bed, shirtless, making a call to his assistant to bring over a set of clothes.

Ji Min’s strict self-discipline in maintaining his physique was evident; his muscles were enviable and eye-catching.

Retracting his gaze, Lu Ran could only sigh inwardly—beauty was indeed a distraction.

After getting dressed, he rushed out.

As soon as he opened the door, he was met with a classmate walking toward him. Lu Ran instinctively reached back and shut the dorm door with a decisive slam.

He had closed it so quickly that he faintly heard a low, muffled laugh from inside.

His ears instantly grew warm.

The passing classmate, clueless about what had just happened, greeted him, “Why are you just now getting changed? The supervisor’s looking for you.”

“Yeah.” Lu Ran casually made up an excuse. “I was just packing my luggage.”

Hearing this, the classmate suddenly became envious. “Ah! If I’d known, I would’ve come back to pack too!”

Once the person had walked away, Lu Ran opened the dorm door again and looked inside.

The man was reclining against his headboard, leaning lazily on his pillow, and smiling at him.

“You came up with a pretty good excuse,” Ji Min remarked.

Lu Ran glared at him. “Then make that excuse a reality. I’m leaving it to you.”

With that, he shut the door and walked away, leaving the esteemed CEO Ji alone in the dorm to pack his luggage.

The breeze outside helped cool the warmth on Lu Ran’s face as he headed toward the supervisor’s office.

In the office, there was only one computer connected to the school system. Students were required to input their scores themselves.

By the time Lu Ran arrived, the others had already finished entering their grades, leaving the room empty.

Lu Ran walked over and logged into the system.

The computer was both slow and laggy.

While waiting, Lu Ran’s thoughts wandered to Ji Min’s behavior today, and he raised a brow.

Ji Min was notoriously stubborn in certain areas.

For instance, despite claiming to act as his “guardian”, the man hadn’t set foot on campus even once in the past few years.

Even when picking him up after school, Ji Min always parked his inconspicuous business car in an equally inconspicuous spot.

Lu Ran understood Ji Min’s reasoning.

The man wanted him to have a normal and ideal college experience.

At his age, being too different from his peers would inevitably invite gossip.

So Ji Min kept his distance from the school to the point where Lu Ran’s claims of having a partner over the years were met with universal disbelief among his classmates.

Which meant…

Had Ji Min suddenly changed today?

He even went so far as to seduce him in the dorm.

Lu Ran was still mulling over Ji Min’s unusual behavior when he heard a noise outside the office.

Looking up, he saw a fellow student from his major standing by the door.

The person was Guo Zhou, a second-generation rich kid—the type whose family donated air conditioners to the school.

Guo Zhou was notorious for skipping classes entirely and relying on classmates to cover for him to earn his credits.

As an overworked, ordinary college student, Lu Ran had little in common with this type of privileged spender.

But last semester, Guo Zhou had confessed to him. Lu Ran had turned him down.

Lu Ran didn’t think much about his popularity on campus.

He always felt like he hadn’t changed much over the years, aside from getting taller.

As for how many people liked him? He couldn’t care less.

Anyone who confessed was met with a uniform, straightforward rejection.

Most people, after being rejected, might feel disappointed but would eventually quiet down.

But there are always a few fools who think no one would dare reject them—believing every rejection to be a form of playing hard-to-get.

Guo Zhou was one such fool.

Lu Ran ignored him. When the system page refreshed, he focused on filling out the form carefully.

Guo Zhou leaned against the doorframe, striking what he thought was a suave pose.

Looking at Lu Ran, he asked, “I saw a man come to see you today. Is he a relative of yours?”

Ji Min had just finished changing into his clean clothes and was walking toward this office area with the farm owner.

As he approached, he caught sight of the scene.

From Ji Min’s perspective, he could see straight into the office with the computer.

He stopped in his tracks, just in time to hear Lu Ran’s crisp and decisive response: “No, that’s my boyfriend.”

The words were sharp and straightforward.

Given the poor soundproofing of the farm buildings, Lu Ran’s slightly cold voice carried clearly to Ji Min and the others nearby.

The farm owner and the teachers accompanying Ji Min froze in shock, their pupils dilating.

Ji Min lowered his head, coughed lightly into his fingers, and composed himself.

Inside the office, Guo Zhou’s voice rose in disbelief: “Your boyfriend? You—you actually have a boyfriend?”

Lu Ran didn’t spare him a glance, eyes fixed on the computer screen.

“I’ve told you I have a boyfriend. I’ve said it hundreds of times. Do you have a problem with that?”

“I thought you were making it up!”

Guo Zhou stared at him, his tone suddenly turning bitter.

“How could you do this? That man must be seven or eight years older than you! I thought you were different from everyone else, someone who wouldn’t be swayed by money. But now you’re no better—ending up with someone like that!”

The moment those words left his mouth, Ji Min’s expression darkened instantly.

The farm owner and the supervisor responsible for the interns looked like they were about to kneel on the spot.

Ji Min started walking down the hallway toward the office, his strides firm and deliberate.

Before he could enter, Lu Ran, who had been busy with the computer, suddenly raised his head. His sharp, icy gaze fixed on Guo Zhou.

“Someone like that?”

Lu Ran let out a low laugh. “Ha? My boyfriend’s taller than you, has more hair than you, looks better than you, could knock you out with one punch, and has excellent hardware to boot. And I’m more than satisfied with his skills. What kind of face do you have to criticize him as ‘someone like that’?”

The words echoed down the hallway, causing several pairs of footsteps to halt simultaneously.

Excellent hardware? More than satisfied with his skills?

Ji Min slowly raised a hand to his forehead in a familiar motion, covering most of his face.

All that remained visible were two flushed, burning ears.
