TPM Chapter 2

You’re Pregnant

The Little Young Master didn’t want to talk to this person.

The Omega turned to leave, but the alpha called out to him, “Hey, what are you doing here?”

The alpha indicated that this was H City, while the Little Young Master’s home and career were all in A City.

“I’m just bored,” the Little Young Master replied irritably.

Actually, he felt a bit guilty. Without stopping, the Little Young Master turned and headed back home.

The Little Young Master rested at home for a while, thinking that the matter was over. But to his surprise, the next day, a new neighbor moved in next door.

No need to think twice; hearing that familiar voice, the Little Young Master knew exactly who it was.

“Xiao Cen,” the Little Young Master’s door was suddenly knocked on—it was the landlady who had rented him the place. “I brought a new neighbor to meet you.”

Since the Little Young Master was here to “lay low” for a while, he hadn’t planned on staying long, or maybe he would switch cities on a whim, so naturally, he hadn’t bought a house.

“This is Xiao Zhou, just started working here, and isn’t he handsome!” The landlady took the Little Young Master’s hand affectionately when he opened the door. “I’ve asked around; he’s a good guy.”

She genuinely cared for the Little Young Master, who was silently carrying a baby, renting a place, and doing check-ups all by himself. She had even asked about the Little Young Master’s alpha, but he said he didn’t have one.

Poor thing, the landlady thought. So when she found out an alpha was also looking to rent, after checking his background, she brought him to the door opposite the Little Young Master.

At least they could look out for each other.

“Well, you young folks have a nice chat now. You’re neighbors, after all, so don’t be shy. As they say, distant relatives aren’t as good as close neighbors.”

“If Xiao Cen needs anything, you can always ask Xiao Zhou. And Xiao Zhou, if you have any questions, just ask Xiao Cen—he’s familiar with the area. Now, I’m off to my mahjong game, we’re short one player.”

The landlady came quickly and left just as fast, leaving the Little Young Master and the alpha staring at each other.

Talking was out of the question, so the Little Young Master slammed the door shut.

The alpha was used to this kind of cold shoulder.

He really didn’t understand why the Little Young Master hated him so much.

Was it just because he had always been first in their grade? Well, the Little Young Master had been second.

Was it because he overshadowed the Little Young Master on the college confession wall?

Was it because they clashed on work projects after graduation?

It was all just healthy competition, right? The alpha thought.

Then he realized he didn’t have any slippers at home, so he paused and knocked on the “neighbor’s” door.

As expected, a rather annoyed face peeked out.

“I don’t have slippers,” the alpha stated.

“Get lost,” the Little Young Master snapped as he slammed the door again.

A moment later, a bag of disposable slippers was thrown through the door crack.

“Knock, knock, knock,” the door was knocked on again. The Little Young Master clenched his fists, hearing the returning voice, “I don’t have trash bags.”

The Little Young Master opened the door. “Are you done yet?!”

The alpha stood there holding fruit peels, facing the Little Young Master.

“This is the last time!” The Little Young Master grumbled, went inside, pulled out a roll of trash bags, and tossed it into the alpha’s arms.

“Knock, knock, knock,” the door was knocked on yet again.

The alpha said, “I don’t have—”

“Don’t make me punch you!” The Little Young Master’s face darkened.

“But I haven’t eaten yet.” There was no food at home, and the alpha clutched his stomach. The stomach issue had been from a few years ago, and the Little Young Master knew about it, too—he was the one who “soft-heartedly” sent the alpha to the hospital back then.

The Little Young Master: So annoying.

“Come in.” The Little Young Master finally moved aside. That afternoon, he had eaten something light. The cook had just finished and left about ten minutes before the alpha moved in.

The food was still warm, and the Little Young Master hadn’t had much appetite, so most of the porridge was left.

The Little Young Master reasonably suspected that he was annoyed by the alpha’s “chubbiness.”

“When are you going back?” The Little Young Master asked after they sat down.

“We’ll see. I’m overseeing the cooperation here,” the alpha replied. In fact, he had planned to return a few days ago, but somehow, he felt that if he left, he would lose something important.

The Little Young Master didn’t say anything else.

Two months passed in the blink of an eye. The Little Young Master’s belly gradually began to show, and he went out less often. Even when he did go out, he always avoided people.

Mainly avoiding the alpha.

The Little Young Master had considered running away again, but he just didn’t have the energy. After getting pregnant, he hadn’t been exposed to the alpha’s pheromones, but the pregnancy symptoms hit him like a tidal wave. Every day was either uncomfortable or on the way to being uncomfortable.

As his belly grew larger, he still needed to go out, so the Little Young Master had to come up with another plan.

The alpha came home from work to see this scene. The Little Young Master was carrying a bag in one hand and supporting his waist with the other. The alpha hadn’t seen the Little Young Master for quite some time. Initially, it was because of his busy project, and later because the Little Young Master was like a dragon—only seen by glimpses. But now that he finally saw him, the alpha was stunned.

The Little Young Master was…??

Was that…???

“You’re pregnant?” The alpha’s voice was full of disbelief.

“Yeah.” The Little Young Master tried to keep his tone steady.

“How long?”

“Almost three months, why?” The Little Young Master deliberately said it was a month later than it actually was.

Whatever the alpha was thinking about, his expression changed several times.

“So, you came to H City to elope? Did you settle down with someone within a month?”

“Well, not really settled down; that guy was a scummy alpha and disappeared long ago,” the Little Young Master said nonchalantly, “Just having some fun.”
