SWMSO – Chapter 100

Extra Story 2 - Jiang Sixian 4

Jiang Yi was ultimately brought home by her.

Long before Jiang Sixian reunited with Jiang Yi and contacted Jiang Qionghua, she had already made many assumptions about Jiang Yi’s possible reactions.

That Jiang Yi wouldn’t want to return to the Jiang family was within her expectations.

Or rather, when she brought Jiang Yi back, she was fully aware that she wouldn’t reconcile with Jiang Qionghua. The reasons she insisted on bringing Jiang Yi back were twofold: first, to reassure their mothers, and second, to declare her relationship with Jiang Yi to them.

She couldn’t wait to announce to everyone that Jiang Yi was now her partner, that Jiang Yi bore her marks all over.

Everything proceeded smoothly. Though their mothers were somewhat surprised, they ultimately accepted their relationship.

With this simple step completed, all she needed to do now was bring Jiang Yi back to her side, away from that place that felt so unfamiliar to her.

Afterward, she would coax and cajole Jiang Yi into going to the hospital to see if there was any chance of restoring her memories.

She knew how stubborn Jiang Yi could be—once she made up her mind about something, there was little room for compromise.

During this rare moment of reunion, Jiang Sixian didn’t want to clash with Jiang Yi over these matters. Those unpleasant conversations could wait until they were more familiar with each other.

People tame each other. Though they had confirmed each other’s feelings six years ago, to Jiang Yi now—who had lost her memories—she was merely someone who had briefly slept with her.

Just her omega, nothing more.

Jiang Sixian had mentally prepared herself for this, but fate had more surprises in store for her than just their reunion.

On the night they returned to the cottage, she was astonished to discover that Jiang Yi was reacting to familiar objects.

Those old belongings seemed to stir something in Jiang Yi’s consciousness, churning up emotions that brought buried memories to the surface.

Jiang Sixian realized this profoundly when, during her second attempt to take Jiang Yi into her mouth, Jiang Yi abruptly flipped their positions and pinned her down.

The Jiang Yi who had been subdued by her for the past four days suddenly turned fierce, like a proper alpha, gripping her shoulders and pressing her into the giant panda plushie on the bed, her voice hoarse as she commanded, “Don’t move.”

“Don’t look at my face.”

In those words, Jiang Sixian sensed a hint of anger. At first, she didn’t understand where Jiang Yi’s fury came from—was it because her relentless demands had finally pushed Jiang Yi to her limit?

But soon, she felt a soft kiss brush against her shoulder, light as a feather.

In stark contrast to the tenderness of that kiss was Jiang Yi’s almost savage actions. Jiang Sixian could clearly feel herself being invaded in the deepest way, drawing a pained moan from her as she clutched at the sheets beneath her.

Jiang Yi pressed closer, her lips near Jiang Sixian’s ear, their intimacy laced with something almost resentful as she asked, “Let me ask you something…”

Jiang Sixian took a moment to catch her breath before responding, “Go ahead…”

Jiang Yi’s voice dropped lower, as though struggling to voice the question: “If you don’t look at my face… can you still think of Jiang Yi?”

This was jealousy. She was jealous.

The realization made Jiang Sixian’s body clench involuntarily, and she answered truthfully, “Yes…”

“No matter what, the moment I smell your pheromones, I’ll remember.”

Because you are her.

What followed bordered on losing control. Jiang Yi’s response was even more intense.

Amidst this frenzy, Jiang Sixian felt something inside her finally click into place.

She was so happy, so unbearably happy… that there would come a day when Jiang Yi would feel jealous for her sake.

It was you before, and it’s you now… it’s always been you…

The overwhelming pleasure forced tears from Jiang Sixian’s eyes. She buried her face in the plushie beneath her, weeping uncontrollably.

This was the first time Jiang Sixian had ever felt truly fulfilled in her heart. In that moment, she could almost confirm that Jiang Yi cared about her.

Enough to feel jealous. Even if this Jiang Yi was jealous of her past self, it was enough to drive her wild.

The responses she had received before were far too few. All those hidden, unspoken affections during their youth had only earned her a farewell kiss.

But now, she had a complete Jiang Yi—one who could feel jealousy, who could show her so many emotions, who could hold her and satisfy her.

For a brief, twisted moment, Jiang Sixian even thought that it wouldn’t matter if Jiang Yi never regained her memories.

Let Jiang Yi cling to her jealousy and stay entangled with her like this forever.

Wasn’t a jealous Jiang Yi far more endearing than one who saw her as insignificant?

Jealousy truly was such a pitiful yet adorable human emotion.

But that thought only flickered through Jiang Sixian’s mind before vanishing.

When she woke the next morning, she decided to act as though nothing had happened, maintaining their unspoken “bodyguard and employer” dynamic.

After leaving home, she finally got to live with Jiang Yi as she’d wished.

They enjoyed a brief honeymoon period.

Jiang Yi was an incredibly simple person—perhaps even a very typical girl in many ways.

Jiang Sixian had rarely encountered an alpha like her. Most alphas didn’t place much importance on one-night stands, but Jiang Yi took them seriously. It was as though, after their bodies joined, Jiang Sixian could faintly sense that she might win her heart.

She watched as the affection in Jiang Yi’s eyes grew day by day, thickening until it resembled that of someone deeply in love.

This filled Jiang Sixian with both joy and unease.

She was elated that she was the one who had Jiang Yi now. But sometimes, in moments of melancholy, she wondered—if someone else had gotten to Jiang Yi before her, would she have truly lost her forever?

These conflicting emotions gradually worsened her mental state. The constant fear of losing Jiang Yi began to reveal the uglier side of her carefully hidden feelings.

Jiang Sixian knew that to improve this situation, she needed to actively reclaim “Jiang Yi.”

Though the current Jiang Yi was wonderful, she understood that her own emotional knot was tied to the girl she had believed would remain eighteen forever.

She needed Jiang Yi to regain her memories, to confirm that Jiang Yi had truly returned—only then could she fully relax.

To that end, Jiang Sixian made an attempt.

Under the pretense of discussing business, she arranged to meet Chen Wanzhou at the equestrian center they used to frequent, curious to see how Jiang Yi would react.

Would those familiar scenes and faces stir something in her consciousness again?

The results of this experiment were startling. In that nearly identical setting, Jiang Yi protected her—just as she had before.

Within this carefully reconstructed sense of familiarity, Jiang Sixian found the security she needed to keep going.

After leaving the equestrian center, Jiang Sixian could feel her heart pounding violently. That familiar yet unfamiliar young woman, consumed by jealousy, embraced her from behind. They stood before a mirror, pressed together like the most intimate of lovers.

For a moment, it felt as though the phantom of the girl she had loved in her youth had merged with the young woman before her.

This was Jiang Yi—her Jiang Yi. Not a stranger, not a stand-in for a shadow.

But the real Jiang Yi—the one she had loved for so many years, the one she had waited for all this time.

Jiang Sixian emerged from that six-year state of fragmentation, finally confirming the reality of the person beside her. After that, whether Jiang Yi regained her memories or not no longer mattered much to her.

But one morning, when stomach pain woke Jiang Sixian and left her retching uncontrollably, she suddenly remembered the illness that still plagued her.

So while Jiang Yi was out meeting old friends, she went to the hospital.

This time, Jiang Sixian saw a different doctor and no longer hid her condition.

Her physical state was dire, with various indicators showing abnormalities. More concerningly, her illness had worsened.

Even after finding Jiang Yi, her condition had deteriorated. Hearing the doctor’s advice, Jiang Sixian couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of absurdity.

Why?

Just as she was on the verge of happiness, why was she being tested again?

Ah, perhaps this was punishment for wanting to keep Jiang Yi trapped, for not telling her the truth.

Jiang Yi was a person—she could never belong to her entirely. But if Jiang Yi didn’t belong to her, wasn’t there a chance she might leave again?

Jiang Sixian thought of many things before finally pressing a hand to her abdomen and asking the doctor, “In that case… can I try for a baby now?”

The answer was no.

She needed medication, and the drugs would affect her body. She shouldn’t consider pregnancy for several years.

Leaving the hospital, Jiang Sixian was utterly dejected. But Jiang Yi, who rarely showed concern, had come to pick her up and take her home, which lifted her spirits slightly.

Perhaps because she was too happy, or perhaps because she feared Jiang Yi’s sharp eyes would see through her fragile state and judge her poorly, Jiang Sixian changed the subject with a joke.

That joke struck Jiang Yi’s rawest nerve.

She should have known—no matter what, she should have known—what the idea of a child meant to Jiang Yi.

Apart from Jiang Qionghua, Jiang Yi had no blood relatives left in this world. A child would mean she had family, someone to lean on for the rest of her life.

Yet even knowing this, Jiang Sixian couldn’t resist testing Jiang Yi. Even if it was just affection, would Jiang Yi be willing to build a family with her, to have a child bound by blood?

But this topic was a landmine for Jiang Yi. In an instant, it ignited her fury.

Jiang Sixian had never seen her so angry. She was at a loss, overwhelmed by how wronged she felt.

All she wanted was to start a new family with Jiang Yi, to become her family—what had she done wrong?

But Jiang Yi wasn’t wrong either. After being alone for so long, she also longed for family. Yet she believed Jiang Sixian only wanted this for the sake of someone else, leaving her equally hurt and resentful.

Battered by these successive blows, Jiang Sixian was on the verge of breaking. After holding back for so long, she couldn’t contain her sense of grievance any longer and broke down in tears: “But you are Jiang Yi.”

You’re the Jiang Yi I’ve loved and waited for all this time.

Tears were a powerful weapon. That afternoon, Jiang Yi held her in the car for a long, long time, her embrace filled with pity.

Buried in her arms, after finally allowing herself to indulge in her emotions, Jiang Sixian’s first clear thought was: It wouldn’t hurt to cry in front of her more often.

She realized then that she was truly beyond saving. Whatever Jiang Yi wanted, she might just become that kind of person.
