SWMSO – Chapter 111

Extra 3 - Jiang Yi Doesn't Lose Her Memory (9)

Once Jiang Yi made a promise, she would see it through.

She got out of bed, changed into fresh clothes, washed up, then followed Jiang Sixian to school.

The early winter morning in the capital was chilly. As they stepped out of the hotel, a bleak northern wind hit them, making Jiang Yi shiver. She turned to look at Jiang Sixian, who was only wearing a coat, and asked, “It’s so cold—do you want to go back and change into a down jacket? I have one in my suitcase that would fit you.”

Jiang Sixian shook her head. “No need. The temperature is just low in the morning. It’ll get much better once the sun comes out.”

Jiang Yi understood but still pulled Jiang Sixian into her arms, wrapping her up as they walked. Nestled against Jiang Yi, Jiang Sixian felt warm despite the cold winter morning.

After breakfast, they headed to the large lecture hall together.

Jiang Sixian led Jiang Yi to sit in the back row, drawing curious glances from their classmates. One of Jiang Sixian’s roommates brought over the textbooks for the day’s class. “Xianxian, your books.”

Jiang Sixian took them with a quiet “Thank you.”

The roommate smiled, her eyes darting to Jiang Yi beside her. “Xianxian, is this the girlfriend you’re always calling in the dorm?”

Jiang Sixian nodded. “Mm.”

The roommate looked at Jiang Yi. “Xianxian’s girlfriend, what’s your name?”

Jiang Yi grinned. “Jiang Yi.” Then, glancing at the girl studying them curiously, she added, “Thanks for looking after Xianxian. If you’re free at noon, let me treat you all to lunch.”

Hearing this, Jiang Sixian couldn’t help but glance at Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi’s smoothness clearly pleased Jiang Sixian’s roommate. She nodded. “Sounds good! Consider it compensation for all the emotional damage from your PDA!”

After the brief exchange, the roommates went to sit in the middle of the classroom. Once they left, Jiang Yi turned to Jiang Sixian. “Is it okay to treat your roommates?”

“After all, I did whisk you away for the whole night last night. That was a bit much.”

Jiang Sixian huffed lightly. “They copy my homework all the time. Last night balances things out.”

Jiang Yi chuckled and squeezed her hand. “But I want more than just one night. You’ll be staying with me outside for the next few days.”

To keep the peace with her roommates, she figured she should treat them first.

Jiang Sixian thought that made sense. After class, she took her roommates to a decent restaurant with Jiang Yi.

Halfway through the meal, Jiang Yi had gotten a sense of Jiang Sixian’s roommates. They all looked out for Jiang Sixian, and thanks to her academic prowess, the whole dorm was full of diligent students.

At one point, the roommates grew curious about Jiang Yi, who looked younger, almost like a high schooler. They asked if she was in the capital for art school auditions.

Jiang Yi explained that she wasn’t—she had already gotten into university but took a year off due to illness. Now that she was better, she had come to see Jiang Sixian.

The roommates nodded, but since they weren’t that close, they didn’t pry further into their relationship. After the meal, they quietly teased Jiang Sixian, telling her to show Jiang Yi around and that they’d cover for her.

Jiang Yi found them utterly adorable and quickly thanked them. “Then I’ll have to thank all you fairy sisters for your help!”

After the roommates left, Jiang Sixian looked at Jiang Yi with a faint smirk. “Fairy sisters? Jiang Yi~ You have so many sisters.”

Jiang Yi hadn’t expected Jiang Sixian to get jealous over something so trivial. She leaned in and kissed the corner of Jiang Sixian’s lips. “You know there’s only one sister I love the most.”

Jiang Sixian blushed slightly at the kiss and pursed her lips. “If you don’t say it, how would I know which sister is your favorite?”

After half a year together, Jiang Yi had learned her moods well. She knew Jiang Sixian wanted to hear sweet words. Taking her hand, Jiang Yi leaned in and murmured against her lips before kissing her, “I love you, Jiang Sixian.”

Jiang Sixian tilted her head up and met her kiss.

Amid the bustling city, on the crowded streets, they held each other and kissed without a care for the world.

When the kiss ended, Jiang Yi—suddenly aware of how much single people might resent them—tugged Jiang Sixian toward the hotel. “Alright, if you don’t have class this afternoon, come back and nap with me.”

“We barely slept last night. At least let me get a proper nap today.”

Jiang Sixian agreed.

Hand in hand, they walked back to the hotel. As they entered the lobby, Jiang Yi’s sharp eyes caught two familiar figures emerging from the elevator, holding hands.

Jiang Yi stopped, still holding Jiang Sixian’s hand, and called out uncertainly, “Chen Wanzhou? Little Monitor?”

The petite girl with a scarf wrapped tightly around her face—clearly trying to hide—jerked her head up at the sound of her voice. “J-Jiang Yi!”

The girl holding her hand, Chen Wanzhou, also turned in surprise. “Jiang Yi? What are you doing in the capital?”

“You’re allowed out now?”

Jiang Yi hummed in confirmation and pulled Jiang Sixian toward them. But before she got close, her sharp nose caught the faint but lingering scent of alpha pheromones—aggressive, though subdued—clinging to them both.

Though the scent was faint, Jiang Yi immediately sensed something was off.

She stopped a couple steps away, eyes flicking between Chen Wanzhou and the Little Monitor. Then she smirked. “The doctor cleared me to go out the day before yesterday, so I came yesterday. I just forgot to tell you.”

“But then again, I doubt you two would’ve had time to pick me up anyway…”

Jiang Yi let go of Jiang Sixian’s hand and lunged at the Little Monitor, yanking her scarf away.

The girl shrieked. “Jiang Yi!”

Startled, she jumped onto Chen Wanzhou’s back, clinging to her neck and refusing to look up.

But in that brief moment, Jiang Yi had already spotted the scattered love bites on her neck.

Jiang Yi clicked her tongue, holding the scarf. “Damn, Monitor. You two really know how to have fun, huh?”

She hadn’t forgotten how these two had stripped her clothes off that summer. Shooting Chen Wanzhou a cool look, she flicked the scarf. “So? What are two alphas doing in a hotel? Covered in all these messy marks—were you fighting or something?”

The Little Monitor’s face burned red. Still clinging to Chen Wanzhou, she glared at Jiang Yi. “Jiang Yi, give me back my scarf! Yeah, alphas go to hotels to fight. What else? It’s not like we came to have sex like you and Xianxian!”

Jiang Yi scoffed. “Fighting? What kind of grudge leaves marks like that?”

She eyed Chen Wanzhou, who stayed silent, then zeroed in on the bite marks on her neck. “Damn, Monitor. You really went all out—Chen Wanzhou’s got teeth marks all over her.”

The Little Monitor immediately turned to check. “Huh? Really? I don’t remember biting that—”

Jiang Yi raised a brow. “You don’t remember what?”

Chen Wanzhou, who had finally gotten what she wanted after a long night, couldn’t take it anymore as she watched Jiang Yi steal the Little Monitor’s attention again. “Alright, Jiang Yi. Stop teasing her.”

She set the Little Monitor down and shielded her behind her back, then held out a hand to Jiang Yi. “Give her the scarf back.”

Jiang Yi shook her head. “Nope.”

Chen Wanzhou didn’t bother arguing and instead turned to Jiang Sixian. “Xianxian, can you control your girlfriend?”

Though the phrase “your girlfriend” pleased Jiang Sixian, she always stood by Jiang Yi in public. She smiled sweetly. “I listen to her. I can’t control her.”

Jiang Yi smirked at Chen Wanzhou. “Better confess, or I’m keeping this.”

Chen Wanzhou clicked her tongue and squeezed the Little Monitor’s hand. “It’s exactly what you think. What else would adults do in a hotel? The fun stuff, obviously.”

She snatched the scarf back from Jiang Yi and handed it to the Little Monitor. “We have class this afternoon, so we’ve got to go. Let’s grab dinner tonight and catch up properly.”

“And Yinxi isn’t as shameless as you, so stop messing with her. We’re friends—can’t you be nicer?”

The Little Monitor nodded, peeking out from behind Chen Wanzhou. “Yeah! We didn’t say anything about you and Xianxian coming here. Why can’t we?”

Hey, hey—who said they couldn’t? They were the ones denying they’d had sex and claiming they’d been fighting!

Jiang Yi crossed her arms. “You two… sneaking around dating is one thing, but why lie about it?”

The Little Monitor, having gotten over her initial shyness, squeezed Chen Wanzhou’s hand and retorted, “Weren’t you sneaking around too? And sneaking into bed…”

Seeing her take her side, Chen Wanzhou’s expression softened. She glanced at Lin Yinxi, her gaze uncharacteristically tender. “Let’s go to class. No point talking to someone who ditches friends for their girlfriend. She’s just jealous.”

Lin Yinxi nodded. “Exactly! She didn’t even tell us she was better—just sneaked off to see Xianxian. The worst.”

Chen Wanzhou sighed dramatically. “All our love wasted on a traitor.”

Like a comedy duo, they walked out of the hotel, leaving Jiang Yi dumbfounded.

She turned to Jiang Sixian. “Should I just cut ties with them? That was brutal. Are they even friends? Dating without telling me?”

Jiang Sixian smiled gently. “You didn’t tell them either. Call it even.”

That… was fair.

Jiang Yi thought for a moment, then took Jiang Sixian’s hand and headed for the elevator. “Whatever. Let’s just go back and take a nap.”

“Gotta rest up if I’m going to interrogate them properly later!”

Jiang Sixian didn’t care much about the whole thing, but since Jiang Yi was so invested, she smiled and agreed. “Okay.”
