SWMSO – Chapter 16

In the end, Jiang Yi skipped the hospital and went straight to the changing room with Ning Wenying to get dressed.

This trip to the equestrian center was Jiang Qionghua’s idea, planned well in advance. She’d even had riding clothes prepared for Jiang Yi. However, just as Jiang Yi emerged from the changing room, she bumped into Jiang Sixian, who was tying her hair back into a ponytail. Seeing Jiang Sixian’s outfit, Jiang Yi couldn’t help but think:

Fuck!

Jiang Sixian was wearing the exact same outfit! They looked like a couple in matching clothes!

Jiang Yi stood a short distance behind her, watching as Jiang Sixian bit the hair tie, pulling her hair up to reveal her slender, white neck. Suddenly, the electronic document in her mind began to autoplay:

“She watched as the other girl’s long hair brushed against her neck, revealing the delicate, white skin beneath. Unable to resist, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around her waist…”

“Kissing her there…” And then things started to get steamy.

Ugh, so suggestive! Jiang Yi shivered, frantically shaking off the mental images and pretending nothing had happened.

It was just erotica! Who hadn’t read erotica? In her past life, she’d made it to eighteen, consuming countless works of fiction. What was there to be afraid of?

It was just…it was just…the person standing before her now was the female lead from the unfinished erotica she’d been reading.

This was a strange feeling for Jiang Yi. It was like knowing that all normal people eventually have sex. Your parents do it, your friends do it, your teachers, everyone around you does it.

But the difference between Jiang Sixian and everyone else was that Jiang Yi had read explicit scenes starring her. And every time Jiang Sixian inadvertently displayed her charm, Jiang Yi’s mind would uncontrollably replay those suggestive descriptions.

Of course, remembering these scenes wasn’t Jiang Yi’s intention. She wasn’t that perverted and had no desire to fantasize about someone her own age.

Jiang Yi suspected this was a side effect of transmigration—certain scenarios triggered descriptions of Jiang Sixian and the official “top” engaging in various sexual acts.

Like just now, for example, a classic equestrian center changing room scene.

Jiang Yi felt that if she spent any more time in the same space as Jiang Sixian, she’d become a seasoned connoisseur of erotica.

She shuddered again and quickly turned to leave.

Reaching the door, Jiang Yi saw Jiang Qionghua had already emerged from the Alpha changing room and was waiting for her.

Seeing Jiang Yi, Jiang Qionghua came forward. “Let’s go. I’ll take you to pick a horse, then we’ll go for a ride.”

Jiang Yi was puzzled. “Aren’t we waiting for Auntie Ning and the others?”

Jiang Qionghua waved her hand dismissively, placing it on Jiang Yi’s shoulder and guiding her forward. “Your Auntie Ning knows this place like the back of her hand. I’ve only been here with her. She’ll take Xianxian around. I’ll teach you how to ride first.”

This was quality mother-daughter time, and Jiang Qionghua naturally wanted to use this opportunity to bond with Jiang Yi. Unsure how to interact with a teenager, she decided to share her hobbies.

For this reason, Jiang Qionghua was a surprisingly dedicated teacher. She helped Jiang Yi put on all the protective gear, patiently explained the key points, and then led her to choose a horse.

“I’ve had this horse for three years. She’s very gentle and I don’t ride her often. If you like her, I’ll give her to you.” Jiang Qionghua was clearly in a good mood, generously gifting Jiang Yi an incredibly expensive horse.

Dressed in full riding gear, Jiang Yi reached out and stroked the horse’s beautiful brown mane, her eyes shining with excitement. She turned to Jiang Qionghua. “What’s her name?”

Seeing the sparkle in her daughter’s eyes, Jiang Qionghua puffed up her chest with pride, presenting the horse like a prized possession. “Her name is Bumblebee!”

Hearing the name, Jiang Yi looked at the majestic horse with sympathy, thinking it was a shame such a magnificent creature had such a frivolous name. How embarrassing.

Jiang Qionghua seemed oblivious to Jiang Yi’s disapproval. She cleared her throat, slightly embarrassed. “But now she’s yours. You can give her a new name.”

Jiang Yi looked at her. “How much does it cost to keep a horse?”

Jiang Qionghua quoted a figure, and Jiang Yi inwardly lamented the extravagance of the wealthy. She looked at Bumblebee regretfully. “That’s too expensive. I can’t afford it. Forget it.”

Jiang Qionghua couldn’t understand Jiang Yi’s logic and said anxiously, “You don’t have to pay! I’ll cover it. It’s just transferring ownership to your name. Why are you being so polite with me?”

Jiang Yi looked up at Jiang Qionghua, who had a clear “I’m your mother, I’m loaded” expression. After a moment’s hesitation, she said, “Well, okay… but what if I upset you one day? Will you stop taking care of the horse?”

Jiang Qionghua was exasperated. “Of course not! Keeping a horse is nothing to me. Besides…” Jiang Qionghua paused, then said, “I don’t think you’d ever do anything to upset me… Jiang Yi, you’re a good kid. Your mother…raised you well.”

Jiang Yi looked away, reaching out to stroke Bumblebee again, giving a noncommittal hum. She looked at the horse, avoiding Jiang Qionghua’s gaze. After a moment, she said cheerfully, “Alright then, I’ll take her.” She patted Bumblebee and formally declared, “From now on, you’re mine, and your name is Da Huang!” (Dà Huáng (大黄): Literally “Big Yellow,” a deliberately plain name replacing the horse’s original name, “Dà Huáng Fēng” (大黄蜂, “Bumblebee”).)

Da Huang seemed unimpressed with the new name and snorted at Jiang Yi.

Jiang Qionghua also looked disapproving. “I said you could give her a new name, but that’s too casual! Whatever, let’s take her to the riding grounds.”

Jiang Qionghua led Jiang Yi to the riding area.

The equestrian center was well-maintained. As Jiang Yi led the horse out, the scent of sun-baked grass filled the air.

Under the scorching sun, Jiang Yi saw a girl in black pants and a white shirt, wearing a sleek riding helmet, gracefully clearing a fence on a snow-white horse.

The horse was magnificent, and as the girl urged it over the obstacle, she leaned forward, her form impeccable, leaving a cool and effortlessly stylish impression.

Jiang Yi stood there, holding Da Huang’s reins, watching as the girl rode away, her eyes filled with admiration.

She suddenly understood why the class monitor thought Jiang Sixian could be an Alpha. Seeing her effortless skill on horseback, it was hard not to be captivated by her grace.

Jiang Yi tried to contain her excitement, but finally couldn’t help but exclaim, “So cool!”

Jiang Qionghua, noticing the envy in her eyes, said proudly, “Horseback riding is a lot of fun. Xianxian has been riding for years. This place is her domain.”

“But once you learn, you’ll be just as good.”

Jiang Qionghua patted Jiang Yi’s shoulder. “Come on, let’s make you just as cool.”
