SWMSO – Chapter 58

Jiang Yi lowered her head and skimmed through the document, her eyes landing on the DNA match percentage column that confirmed she was indeed Jiang Sixian’s stepsister who had supposedly died in a kidnapping incident.

So she hadn’t taken over the body of Grandma’s “obedient grandson,” but rather this person’s stepsister’s body.

For some reason, Jiang Yi felt an inexplicable sense of relief: At least Jiang Sixian hadn’t mistaken her identity. That was good, really good.

Wait—even if Jiang Sixian wasn’t mistaken, what did that have to do with her? Why was she so happy about it?

Jiang Yi tightened the blanket around herself and stared straight at Jiang Sixian. “What do you want to talk about?”

Jiang Sixian leaned against the headboard and smiled. “About this body of yours.”

She was only wearing a thin nightgown, her straight black hair cascading over her shoulders, the ends faintly brushing against the collar, barely concealing the ample view beneath.

Jiang Yi’s body reacted with brutal honesty, immediately raising the white flag of surrender.

Curling up, Jiang Yi tried to hide her inappropriate response and cleared her throat as if nothing was wrong. “What… about this body?”

Jiang Sixian’s gaze drifted meaningfully to where Jiang Yi was sitting. She reached out, pinching a thin contract between her fingers, and said, “You said you’re not Jiang Yi, that you just took over this body—that you reincarnated into it, right?”

Jiang Yi nodded. “Yeah, didn’t I make that clear?”

Jiang Sixian tilted her head. “Then, since you’ve taken over this body, shouldn’t you do something for its family?”

Jiang Yi felt inexplicably guilty and stammered, “I think…” There’s no need for that! In the eyes of “Jiang Yi’s” family, “Jiang Yi” was already dead. There was no reason to “revive” and reappear before them.

Seeing her hesitation, Jiang Sixian pressed further, “You’ll take responsibility for this body, won’t you?”

Jiang Yi sighed. “Fine, I can do something for her family. What do you need me to do?”

Jiang Sixian replied, “Just pretend you’re Jiang Yi who lost her memory and doesn’t remember the past. Meet her family once so they know Jiang Yi is still alive.”

Jiang Yi wasn’t particularly keen on the idea, but Jiang Sixian cut off her escape route. “Jiang Yi’s mother—or rather, your mother—never stopped looking for you. Even now, she’s still hiring private investigators to track you down.”

“As long as she doesn’t see your body, she’ll never give up in this lifetime.”

Jiang Sixian was the same. For the past six years, she hadn’t stopped searching for Jiang Yi either.

Hearing this, Jiang Yi couldn’t help but ache for this mother who had “lost her child too soon,” and a twinge of guilt pricked at her.

She sighed. “If that’s the case, I can agree. But I won’t rejoin your family’s household register, and I don’t plan on becoming Jiang Yi’s mother’s legal child again. I want to keep my current identity and be myself.”

Jiang Sixian nodded. “That’s fine.”

Jiang Yi relaxed slightly and glanced at her again. “Is there anything else you need me to do?” Better to get it all out now so she could go home and prepare.

Jiang Sixian handed her the contract she had been holding and calmly dropped a bombshell: “Marry me.”

“That’s the condition.”

Jiang Yi looked up, stunned. “Are you joking?”

“I already told you I’m not your Jiang Yi. Why are you still so fixated on this?”

She was utterly baffled. She wanted to crack open Jiang Sixian’s skull and see what was going on inside.

Jiang Sixian remained composed, even with a hint of amusement in her eyes. “I know your soul isn’t hers. I understand what you’re saying, but your body is.”

“Jiang Yi, I once promised the original owner of this body that I’d have many children with her. So I need to marry… your body.”

She paused, pointing at the contract. “This is a marriage agreement. Take a look.”

Jiang Yi lowered her gaze and scanned the document. By the sixth clause, her eyes widened. “Parties A and B must bear six children after marriage, with custody granted to Party A. Otherwise, the contract remains permanently valid.”

She looked up at Jiang Sixian, her voice rising. “Why do you get custody of the kids?!”

Jiang Sixian smiled. “I don’t mind raising them together with you.”

That wasn’t the point! The issue wasn’t raising kids—it was six kids! No, actually, the issue wasn’t even six kids—it was… it was…

Jiang Yi took a deep breath. “Legally, my body is your stepsister. We can’t get married.”

Jiang Sixian paused. “That’s not a problem. When we confirmed our relationship, your mother and mine weren’t married yet. They were just dating freely—no ethical issues involved.”

She smiled and continued, “Right now, legally, you’re a stranger to me. Getting married wouldn’t be an issue at all.”

Jiang Yi hadn’t expected Jiang Sixian to have thought this far ahead. She inhaled sharply. “Is it too late for me to go acknowledge my family now?”

Jiang Sixian fell silent for a moment before saying, “I suppose… if you really want to, it’s not impossible. But Jiang Yi, do you really hate the idea of marrying me that much?”

Jiang Yi’s mind was a mess. Did she hate it? Not really—she adored Jiang Sixian in bed. But she wasn’t her Jiang Yi. She was just… just…

She took another deep breath, her right hand emerging from the blanket as she spoke seriously, “Listen, we can treat these past few days as a one-night stand. But marriage? I don’t get it. I have no plans to marry now—or ever! So don’t even think about it. I won’t agree!”

Jiang Sixian had anticipated this reaction, but not with this much anger. She sighed regretfully and switched to a pitiful expression, her eyes glistening with tears as she looked at Jiang Yi.

“But Jiang Yi already marked me. I’ve tasted your pheromones—I can’t spend my heats with anyone else now. If you won’t marry me, how am I supposed to get through them?”

“Are you expecting me to rely on suppressants?”

Jiang Yi stared at her vulnerable expression as Jiang Sixian leaned in, her sweet breath brushing against her lips. “You know that if you’re here, I won’t need suppressants.”

Jiang Sixian’s hand slipped under the blanket, her gaze intense. “Your body doesn’t dislike me, and I really like your body. Besides, I promised I’d have children with you.”

“If it’s just this much… would you be willing to be my suppressant?”

Jiang Yi sucked in a sharp breath and quickly grabbed Jiang Sixian’s wrist, flustered. “Are you saying… you want to keep me?”

The blanket slid off Jiang Yi’s shoulders as Jiang Sixian leaned in, pressing a kiss to her jaw and murmuring, “If you won’t marry me, then this is the only way.”

Suddenly reduced to selling her charms, Jiang Yi found herself pinned beneath Jiang Sixian. As Jiang Sixian straddled her, she stammered, “W-wait… hold on… how much? How much are you paying me per month?”

Jiang Sixian sat atop her and let out a long sigh. She lowered her gaze, resting her hands on Jiang Yi’s shoulders, her eyes shimmering. “How much do you want?”

Jiang Yi gripped her waist, her mind hazy. Mumbling, she said, “At least… thirty times a month…”

At first, Jiang Sixian didn’t understand. When realization dawned, she bit Jiang Yi’s shoulder. “What kind of condition is that?”

Jiang Yi hissed. “Ouch—that hurts!”

Jiang Sixian braced herself on Jiang Yi’s shoulders, leaning down to nip at her lips. “I’m holding back too. You should endure it as well…”

“You’ll have to endure it from now on too…”

Endure? Endure her ass. Jiang Yi couldn’t take it anymore. Gripping Jiang Sixian’s waist, she flipped them over and pinned her down, scowling fiercely. “Fine, you can keep me. But you’re never sitting on top of me again—this is the last time!”

Jiang Sixian instantly clutched her shoulders, tears brimming as she nodded and whispered hoarsely, “Okay.”

And so, Jiang Yi spent another morning in intoxicated bliss.

By the time it was over, Jiang Sixian had fallen asleep on top of her.

She must have been sleep-deprived these past few days because she was now deeply asleep against Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi looked down at her peaceful face and thought that from now on, she’d have an omega—even if this omega loved someone else. But it didn’t matter. After all, she was the one being kept.

As she brushed the hair from Jiang Sixian’s face, she noticed a tear slipping from the corner of her eye.

Jiang Yi’s chest tightened with an inexplicable pang. She reached up, wiping the tear away with her thumb, and suddenly wanted to kiss her.

Just then, Jiang Sixian, still lying atop her, tightened her embrace and murmured, “Jiang Yi…”

Jiang Yi knew she wasn’t calling for her, but she answered anyway. “Hmm?”

Jiang Sixian hugged her tighter. “Don’t go. Stay.”

Jiang Yi was silent for a long moment before stroking Jiang Sixian’s hair soothingly. “I won’t leave…”

At that moment, a tear rolled down Jiang Sixian’s cheek and landed on Jiang Yi’s chest.

The cold droplet startled her. Jiang Yi reached up, touching the tear, her mind blank.

She thought, Jiang Sixian must have loved Jiang Yi deeply—otherwise, why would even just this body make her so reluctant to let go?

But Jiang Yi must have loved Jiang Sixian just as much, to have risked her life for her.

Really, how could anyone forget someone who had once fought desperately for them in their youth?

The thought made Jiang Yi feel an odd sense of pity for them. She wrapped her arms around Jiang Sixian, pressing a kiss to her hair, and whispered, “Sweet dreams, Jiang Sixian.”

Even if it was just this body, she hoped that reuniting with it could ease at least some of the pain left behind from those youthful years.
