From youth until now, Jiang Sixian had fantasized countless times about the day Jiang Yi would finally say those three words to her.
Whether it was wishful thinking or just a pipe dream, she had dreamed about this moment many times.
She tilted her head up to look at Jiang Yi, lips trembling, eyes brimming with tears, unable to utter a single word.
Jiang Yi reached out, using her thumb to wipe away her tears, and smiled softly. “I know… whether in the past or now, I’ve done a lot of things that hurt you.”
“Sometimes, I even deliberately provoked you.”
“But Jiang Sixian, my love for you is real. I know I’m not a particularly good person—maybe even a little rotten, not outstanding at all, just an ordinary woman.”
“Even so, I still want to ask…”
“Jiang Sixian, will you be my girlfriend?”
She was willing. She had been willing since long ago, let alone now.
Jiang Sixian threw herself into Jiang Yi’s arms, clinging tightly to her, her delicate chin pressing into Jiang Yi’s shoulder.
It was already autumn, and the mountain air at four in the morning was bitterly cold. Jiang Yi effortlessly scooped her up, letting Jiang Sixian wrap her legs around her waist, and carried her back to the car. “In that case, the contract is void. The employment agreement between us is canceled.”
“Jiang Sixian, starting today, I’m your girlfriend.”
Jiang Yi placed Jiang Sixian in the passenger seat, leaned down to kiss her, and said, “Let’s go. I’m taking you home.”
Jiang Sixian reached out and grabbed her wrist. “Wait…”
Jiang Yi lowered her gaze, puzzled. “What’s wrong? The wind is so strong here. If we don’t leave now, do you want me to stay and watch the sunrise with you?”
This was only halfway up the mountain. If they drove to the summit, they could see a beautiful sunrise.
Jiang Sixian shook her head. “No… I just want to make sure you’re really here.”
She took Jiang Yi’s hand and pressed it against her chest, biting her lip as she gazed at her with damp, pleading eyes. “Touch me… hold me… enter me… fill me… make me whole…”
Her voice, soft in the deep night breeze, seized Jiang Yi’s full attention. Heat surged through her, flushing her face crimson.
Watching Jiang Sixian undo her buttons, Jiang Yi lost all reason. She bent down, climbed into the car, and slammed the door shut behind her.
Jiang Yi lowered her head, capturing Jiang Sixian’s lips as she reclined the seat. “How many times do you need to confirm it?”
Jiang Sixian trembled beneath her lips, sighing, “A thousand times… ten thousand times…”
“Jiang Yi, mark me.”
When the person you love makes such a plea, most would be unable to resist. But Jiang Yi was patient. Suppressing the temptation, she pulled Jiang Sixian onto her lap and answered hoarsely, “Not yet… it’s not time yet…”
“I won’t leave, I won’t disappear, so you don’t need a mark.”
She didn’t think Jiang Sixian needed to go that far for her, but Jiang Sixian wished she were an Omega who could overpower an Alpha. Clinging to Jiang Yi’s neck, she bit down hard on her shoulder.
A clear set of teeth marks soon appeared on Jiang Yi’s skin. Jiang Sixian pressed close to her ear, murmuring, “If you won’t mark me, then let me mark you instead.”
“Jiang Yi, promise me—you’ll only ever be my Alpha. You’re branded now. You’re mine for life.”
The possessiveness in her words sent a thrill through Jiang Yi. Gripping Jiang Sixian’s waist, she gritted her teeth and said, “Fine… I’m your marked Alpha.”
“Jiang Sixian, I belong only to you.”
Jiang Sixian had waited for her so long that by dawn, she was barely clinging to consciousness. Jiang Yi laid her down in the passenger seat, draped a coat over her, and fastened her seatbelt.
When Jiang Yi settled into the driver’s seat, Jiang Sixian turned her head, casting a drowsy glance her way. Exhaustion weighed heavily on her, her gaze foggy as she murmured weakly, “Jiang Yi… are you really okay now?”
Jiang Yi, on the other hand, was wide awake. She brushed aside the strands of hair clinging to Jiang Sixian’s face. “I’m fine… I have to take you home, so of course I’m alert.”
If anything, she was buzzing with energy. After all, she was a professionally trained Alpha. Staying up all night and resisting temptation were nothing to her.
But Jiang Sixian—after worrying herself sick for so long—finally allowed herself to relax, her nerves unwinding at last.
Jiang Yi leaned over and kissed her cheek. “Sleep. I’ll be right here.”
Jiang Sixian gazed at her tenderly, her eyes as clear as a fawn’s. “Give me something to hold… so I know you’re real.”
Jiang Yi agreed, offering the hem of her shirt. Jiang Sixian clutched it tightly as she drifted into sleep.
Only when she was certain Jiang Sixian was truly asleep did Jiang Yi start the car and drive them home.
By the time they arrived, it was already eight in the morning. Feeling uncomfortable, Jiang Sixian dragged Jiang Yi into the shower with her. This time, Jiang Yi agreed without hesitation.
After some playful antics in the bathroom, Jiang Yi draped her robe over the vanity, sat Jiang Sixian on top of it, and began blow-drying her hair.
Having napped a little, Jiang Sixian was no longer as drowsy. Seated before the mirror, she watched Jiang Yi with a soft smile.
Jiang Yi combed through her long hair, massaging her neck gently as she asked, “Is it too hot?”
Jiang Sixian shook her head. “What about you? Are you hungry?”
Jiang Yi shook her head. “Not really.”
Jiang Sixian wrapped her arms around Jiang Yi’s waist, nuzzling her shoulder like a spoiled child. Amid the hum of the blow-dryer, she whispered, “But I’m starving~”
Jiang Yi chuckled, negotiating with her. “Then we’ll order takeout later?”
The fridge was empty, so delivery was their only option.
Jiang Sixian slid her hands along Jiang Yi’s waist, tracing the curves with her fingertips. Jiang Yi stiffened, looking down at her in disbelief. “You were just—”
Jiang Sixian hooked a leg around her waist, rubbing against her. “It wasn’t enough. Feed me properly, okay?”
Concerned she might overexert herself, Jiang Yi frowned disapprovingly. “Hey, we’re dating now. If you’re doing this because you’re afraid I’ll leave, you don’t have to.”
Jiang Sixian played for a moment before looking up at her, biting her lip with a pitiful expression. “What? Can’t you satisfy me?”
Jiang Yi refused to take the bait. After finishing her hair, she carried Jiang Sixian straight to bed.
She bundled her up in the blankets, holding her close. “Don’t even think about it. Sleep.”
Wrapped in the cocoon of blankets, Jiang Sixian squirmed restlessly. Jiang Yi arched a brow. “What now?”
Jiang Sixian took her hand, biting her lip as she gazed up at her with pleading eyes. “Jiang Yi… I feel awful.”
Despite the crisp autumn weather, the room felt like it was drenched in rain—humid and stiflingly warm.
Jiang Yi was startled but quickly understood. She pulled Jiang Sixian into her arms, whispering against her ear, “You want it that badly?”
Jiang Sixian bit her lip, swallowing back unnecessary words as she pressed Jiang Yi’s hand against her chest and nodded. “So much… especially when I see you… I can’t control myself.”
“Don’t leave me, Jiang Yi…”
Jiang Yi understood. And until Jiang Sixian was fully satisfied, she didn’t let her go.
By eight in the evening, Jiang Yi woke up starving. She ordered takeout, scooped Jiang Sixian out of bed, and carried her to the living room to eat.
She settled Jiang Sixian in her lap, feeding her between bites. Both were ravenous, but Jiang Sixian ate daintily, maintaining an air of elegance. Compared to her, Jiang Yi felt like a wild beast tearing into her food without restraint.
Embarrassed, Jiang Yi slowed her pace, feeding Jiang Sixian as she asked, “Jiang Sixian, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you…”
Nestled in her arms, Jiang Sixian ate unhurriedly from her hand. At the question, she blinked lazily. “Hmm? What is it?”
Jiang Yi cleared her throat, taking a spoonful for herself before murmuring, “Back in school, you barely talked to anyone. You didn’t seem like the type to be into… this kind of thing. But now, after just a few years…”
“You’ve never spent a heat with another Alpha, so how… how did you get so good at it?”
Jiang Sixian turned her head, studying Jiang Yi’s conflicted expression before pinching her cheek.
She smiled, biting her lip with feigned innocence. “What? Don’t you like it?”
She could tell—Jiang Yi loved it when she acted like this.
Jiang Yi’s face flushed. She mumbled, “I do… but I’m just surprised. Where did you learn all this?”
Frankly, as an Alpha who had seen her fair share of adult content, Jiang Yi felt embarrassingly outmatched by Jiang Sixian’s skills.
Jiang Sixian looped her arms around Jiang Yi’s neck, thinking for a moment. “I looked up some things back in school.”
Jiang Yi was intrigued. “What kind of things?”
Jiang Sixian swung her legs playfully, grinning. “Things like… how to please the Alpha you like. I researched a lot after you presented. Looks like my homework paid off. Do you like it?”
Jiang Yi loved it to death.
She paused, staring at Jiang Sixian in astonishment. “Why would you even think to study that?”
Jiang Sixian pursed her lips, slightly embarrassed. “Back then, I didn’t think you’d ever be with me, given our family situation. So I thought… even sharing just one heat with you would be enough.”
She hugged Jiang Yi’s neck, smiling. “Jiang Yi, I really, really liked you back then.”
Jiang Yi wasn’t sure whether to call her foolish or insane. Unable to resist, she ruffled Jiang Sixian’s hair. “I never thought the top student could be this dumb.”
“And you wanted to study law? Don’t you know coercion is illegal? Weren’t you afraid I’d sue you?”
Jiang Sixian laughed. “Like you said—out of respect for my mother, you wouldn’t hurt this family. So I figured, even if I did something to you, you’d endure it.”
Jiang Yi shuddered, eyeing the Omega in her arms. “Jiang Sixian, I’m just now realizing how impure your teenage mind was! You’re not a good person!”
Jiang Sixian knew she was teasing but couldn’t help giggling. She poked Jiang Yi’s chest. “That’s right. I was never a good girl. Jiang Yi, I’m wicked. I’d do anything to have you.”
“But…”
Her tone shifted as she traced circles over Jiang Yi’s heart, chiding, “You weren’t exactly innocent back in school either.”
“Care to explain that forum post you bookmarked about dreaming of sleeping with your sister?”
Jiang Yi froze, staring at her in horror. “You went through my phone?! How did you even know my password?”
Jiang Sixian smiled. “I saw you unlock it a few times. The code was always the same, so I memorized it.”
After Jiang Yi disappeared, Jiang Sixian had kept all her belongings, unlocking her phone and computer to pore over every detail. For a long time, those fragments were all that kept her going.
She gazed at Jiang Yi tenderly, eyes shining with hope. “Jiang Yi… did you… did you ever dream about me?”
“What did you do to me in those dreams?”
