TSBSPAAM Chapter 47

I Like You

Chapter 47: I Like You

As Zhou Yizhou had said, Chen Si indeed did not appear as frequently over the next few days as he had before. Meanwhile, Chen Hebin began to take real action.

Shen Bumian saw Chen Hebin appear downstairs right on time. He paused his drinking, pulled open the window, and leaned against it lazily. He turned his head slightly to look at Zhou Yizhou, who was rushing to finish his homework.

“Zhouzhou, do you want to come over and take a look?”

Zhou Yizhou stared at the electronic screen in front of him, his hands moving non-stop. Oh my god, I shouldn’t have procrastinated.

Now, there was no way he could finish revising this mecha design. Zhou Yizhou was on the verge of tears, looking at the leisurely Shen Bumian with utter envy.

“Mianmian, don’t talk to me. I’m about to miss the deadline. I’m definitely going to get scolded again.”

Zhou Yizhou mourned for himself in silence.

Shen Bumian pulled the curtains open even wider, letting more sunlight squeeze in.

He glanced downstairs at Chen Hebin, who had opened his terminal and was clearly preparing to send a message, and said teasingly, “Then you’d better hurry up. And definitely don’t get distracted by anyone.”

Zhou Yizhou didn’t catch the hidden meaning in Shen Bumian’s words. Before he could speak, he saw the terminal he had placed to the side light up.

Zhou Yizhou didn’t mean to, but he saw the contact name: Scorched Bitter Orange.

It was very unique; it was the scent of Chen Hebin’s pheromones. Zhou Yizhou had been very surprised the first time he found out. Chen Hebin actually has this scent.

He couldn’t say why he was surprised; Zhou Yizhou just found it unexpected.

Zhou Yizhou already knew who was messaging him. He paused, unable to resist picking up his terminal, and saw Chen Hebin’s message asking if he had time.

Zhou Yizhou was very hesitant. He clearly didn’t have time, but… for some inexplicable reason, he wanted to see Chen Hebin.

His delicate face wrinkled into a frown. Zhou Yizhou was just about to reply that he didn’t have time.

“Go on. Chen Hebin is waiting for you downstairs.”

Shen Bumian’s voice sounded from above his head. Zhou Yizhou’s eyes widened as he looked up. So, Shen Bumian had seen Chen Hebin from the window just now and was deliberately teasing him.

Zhou Yizhou sighed. “Forget it. I still have to finish my homework.”

His gaze fell on the window, a little disappointed.

Seeing Zhou Yizhou like this, Shen Bumian knew that Chen Hebin had a very good chance.

He casually placed his water cup on the table and pulled Zhou Yizhou up. “You go. I’ll be a good person to the end and help you revise the design.”

Zhou Yizhou jumped up with joy. “Ahhh, Mianmian, you’re the best! I really love you so much!”

Shen Bumian pushed away Zhou Yizhou’s approaching head, showing no mercy. “I hope you still love me in the future. Don’t let someone replace me.”

A blush spread across Zhou Yizhou’s face. Hearing this, he shot a sideways glance at Shen Bumian. “What are you talking about?”

He had clearly understood the hidden meaning in Shen Bumian’s words.

With Shen Bumian as his strong backup, Zhou Yizhou walked downstairs without a burden, not forgetting to tell Shen Bumian that he would bring him back milk tea.

Downstairs, Chen Hebin couldn’t help but feel disappointed seeing Zhou Yizhou’s reply that he didn’t have time. He was about to leave the flowers he was holding with the dorm manager.

But just as he took two steps, he saw a familiar figure walking towards him.

“Zhouzhou!”

Chen Hebin quickly walked closer to him, his ears red as he held out the flowers in his hand. Seeing this, Zhou Yizhou’s face also grew hot as he accepted them.

It was a bouquet of sunflowers, bright and passionate. Zhou Yizhou liked it a lot.

“Zhouzhou, didn’t you say you didn’t have time?”

Zhou Yizhou looked down at the flower petals. “Why are you asking so many questions? Did you call me over for something?”

Chen Hebin had come to deliver flowers. He had heard that when pursuing someone, you had to start by giving them flowers.

After their dinner on the rooftop last time, Chen Hebin had started sending flowers and gifts. Seeing the happy expression on Zhou Yizhou’s face, he felt that Zhou Yizhou liked it. He stuttered a little. He was so nervous!

“I… I came to ask you, um, Student Zhou Yizhou, may I have the honor of inviting you to a meal?”

After speaking, Chen Hebin didn’t dare to look at Zhou Yizhou, afraid that he would see his clumsiness and also afraid that Zhou Yizhou wouldn’t recognize his own feelings. After a few seconds, he still lowered his head to look at Zhou Yizhou.

Zhou Yizhou looked a bit troubled. “But… I’ve already eaten.”

Their class had been dismissed early, so Zhou Yizhou and Shen Bumian had eaten first before going back to the dorm to work on their homework, whereas Chen Hebin and his friends had clearly just finished class not long ago.

Chen Hebin mumbled, “Oh, is that so? Then… then I…”

Chen Hebin struggled for a long time but couldn’t think of an excuse. Standing in front of Zhou Yizhou, after having given him the flowers, his brain felt a little deprived of oxygen.

Zhou Yizhou burst out laughing. He really couldn’t hold it in seeing Chen Hebin like this. “How about this, I happen to be thirsty. Can you treat me to milk tea?”

Chen Hebin slapped his forehead. Right, why didn’t I think of that?

Things like milk tea were very popular among omegas in the First Interstellar. He immediately nodded.

Upstairs, Shen Bumian watched the two of them walk away and shook his head with a smile.

A ding sound was heard. Shen Bumian looked down at his own terminal on the table, picked it up, and took a look.

【qln: Have you eaten? Want to go together?】

Looking at this message, Shen Bumian suddenly remembered that Qin Luzhi had also been acting a bit strange recently.

Ever since their encounter with Chen Si last time, Qin Luzhi had been odd.

As long as the other didn’t have class, Shen Bumian found that he could always see Qin Luzhi’s figure around.

Because the two of them had extra training together at night, their relationship was no longer like it was at the beginning of the school year. Qin Luzhi no longer seemed to have that somewhat detached attitude.

Shen Bumian pursed his lips, unable to figure out the reason for Qin Luzhi’s change.

Moreover, every time they ate, Qin Luzhi would buy him a low-sugar drink or prepare water for him and place it by his side.

Sometimes, Shen Bumian even felt that he and Qin Luzhi were the ones who had grown up together, and Zhou Yizhou was the newly-met friend.

Shen Bumian told Qin Luzhi that he had to help Zhou Yizhou revise his homework and explained that he had already eaten.

Then he casually put down his terminal, paid it no more mind, and sat at the desk to work on the revisions for Zhou Yizhou.

On the other side, Qin Luzhi looked at Shen Bumian’s direct refusal and felt a little disappointed as well, but he didn’t say anything and got up to go to the cafeteria, with He Jing and Mu Yi following him.

Zhou Yizhou didn’t go to buy milk tea immediately. He thought that Chen Hebin hadn’t eaten yet and suggested that he eat first before they go together.

Chen Hebin had no choice but to find a restaurant first. He also ordered some desserts, the kind that weren’t too heavy to eat after a meal. He thought Zhou Yizhou would be bored while he ate. Zhou Yizhou didn’t refuse.

After the meal, the two of them bought milk tea and walked back to the school together.

The road was bustling with people. In the distance, star-rail trains intersected. On the roadside, summer cypress flowers and cosmos bloomed together, a beautiful sight.

At an intersection, Chen Hebin stopped. He stared at the specially-made material of the pavement and took several deep breaths. Looking at the back of the person in front of him, it was as if he had made a certain decision.

The person beside Zhou Yizhou had suddenly disappeared. When he turned around, he was already a few steps away from Chen Hebin. Looking at the Alpha with his straight back, Zhou Yizhou felt inexplicably nervous.

He watched as Chen Hebin took a few steps forward, stood in front of him, and lowered his head.

“Zhou Yizhou, there’s something I’ve always wanted to tell you. I’ve held it in for a long time. I can’t quite say why today, but I just wanted to tell you.”

As Chen Hebin approached, Zhou Yizhou had already lowered his head slightly, not looking at the Alpha’s fiery gaze. The arm holding the flowers unconsciously tightened.

“W-what do you want to say?”

For some reason, the omega was also a little nervous, and his words came out with an unknowing softness. Chen Hebin held his breath.

“I… I like you. Zhou Yizhou, I like you. The first time I helped you with the pheromone test, it was love at first sight for me. But I never dared to tell you. I was afraid you would reject me, and also afraid you wouldn’t give me a chance to get close to you.”

When Zhou Yizhou heard the words “I like you,” he had already lifted his head. His round eyes looked at Chen Hebin, clearly not expecting him to say it here.

Chen Hebin’s actions these past few days had been very obvious; even a fool would know what he meant.

Zhou Yizhou had naturally noticed it too, but… it seemed that he… didn’t dislike it.

Chen Hebin could hear his own heartbeat. “Zhouzhou, can you give me a chance? I promise I’ll be good to you. If I do anything wrong, you can hit me or scold me, and I’ll definitely change. I’ll try my best not to make you angry…”

Chen Hebin really felt that his brain was deprived of oxygen. He was just rambling now. Why couldn’t he remember any of the words he had prepared at this moment?

He even wanted to reach into his pocket and take out the script that He Jing had “kindly” written for him.

His palms were already sweating. He wanted to say something more when he saw Zhou Yizhou nod his head.

Chen Hebin took a sharp breath and asked the omega before him in disbelief, “Nodding… what does that mean? Is it what I think it is?”

Zhou Yizhou’s face turned beet red. He glared at Chen Hebin with feigned anger.

“Aiya, you idiot! What else could it mean? It means… it means I’m accepting your confession.”

After speaking, Zhou Yizhou lowered his head, not daring to look into Chen Hebin’s eyes.

At this moment, Chen Hebin felt as if he had been struck dumb by an immense surprise. After recovering for several seconds, he suddenly pulled Zhou Yizhou into a hug. “Are you serious?”

Zhou Yizhou was startled by the sudden hug, then randomly nodded again. With one arm holding the flowers, he returned the hug with the other.

Their heartbeats touched. Chen Hebin finally confirmed it. The omega he liked also liked him back, and now, they were together.
