Chapter 48: The Brooch

“Mianmian, I’m back. Here’s your fruit tea.”

The sound of the dorm room door opening was followed by Shen Bumian stretching and looking up. Zhou Yizhou walked in, carrying a fruit tea and holding a bouquet of flowers.

Shen Bumian raised an eyebrow slightly, looking at the fruit tea placed before him, and then at the bouquet of sunflowers.

“Zhouzhou, you’re not acting like yourself,” Shen Bumian said thoughtfully.

Zhou Yizhou’s movement of arranging the flowers paused. There were already many kinds of flowers on the balcony, all gifts from Chen Hebin, which he had carefully placed in vases and tended to.

Some had already begun to wilt, but fortunately, new flowers were being added.

Zhou Yizhou had wanted to tell Shen Bumian as soon as he got back, and now he couldn’t hide it any longer.

“Mianmian, uhm, Chen Hebin and I are together now.”

This group chat was created by their friends to brainstorm a confession plan for Chen Hebin. Every day, He Jing and Chen Hebin were active in the group, discussing which flowers were suitable for pursuing someone.

They meticulously searched the StarNet for the language of various flowers. Mu Yi and Qin Luzhi also occasionally provided suggestions for excellent restaurants.

And Shen Bumian was in charge of tracking Zhou Yizhou’s schedule to create opportunities for Chen Hebin. It was, one could say, a long-premeditated plan.

Shen Bumian patted Zhou Yizhou’s head. “Chen Hebin was really nervous. He said he was going to confess several days ago but finally decided on today.”

As for why he chose today to confess, it was because it was Chen Hebin’s birthday. At midnight, he had secretly made a wish, hoping Zhou Yizhou would say yes.

October 13th was Chen Hebin’s birthday.

Perhaps someone could hear wishes, because Zhou Yizhou really did agree. Chen Hebin was overjoyed for a long time.

Zhou Yizhou took out his optical computer and fired off an angry message to Chen Hebin.

By the time he finally found it on the top shelf with the help of a chair, Shen Bumian told him that Chen Hebin was already downstairs. This left Zhou Yizhou a bit stunned.

Zhou Yizhou looked down from the balcony and sure enough, he saw Chen Hebin standing below the dormitory building, pacing anxiously with his optical computer in hand.

Zhou Yizhou picked up his optical computer from the table and saw that Chen Hebin had indeed sent many messages, as well as several unanswered video call attempts.

Zhou Yizhou pursed his lips and went downstairs with the delicate little box. Shen Bumian, sipping his fruit tea, glanced at the door and then downstairs.

Chen Hebin seems like a good person.

“I didn’t know it was your birthday today. Here, take this as your present.”

At this thought, Zhou Yizhou’s heart softened a bit. “Ahem, alright, I forgive you now. Don’t worry, I won’t break up with you so easily.”

Chen Hebin’s face lit up with joy. Only then did he accept the small box and open it happily. Inside was a brooch of a simple and luxurious design.

The brooch didn’t have an overly complex design, yet it beautifully complemented an elegant temperament.

A brilliant smile instantly spread across Chen Hebin’s face. “Zhouzhou, it’s beautiful. This is my favorite gift ever.”

Zhou Yizhou, who had been a little nervous, let out a huge sigh of relief upon hearing Chen Hebin say he liked it. As long as he likes it.

After talking for a bit, they parted ways. Although Chen Hebin was reluctant, he had no choice. Zhou Yizhou had a class in the afternoon and needed to take a nap.

When Zhou Yizhou went back upstairs, Shen Bumian had already finished correcting his homework for him. Zhou Yizhou hugged Shen Bumian and planted a kiss on his cheek.

Shen Bumian smiled and pushed him away, telling him to hurry up and submit the assignment. Then he went back to his own room to sleep. After submitting his homework, Zhou Yizhou also went to bed.

After confirming their relationship, Chen Hebin told his group of brothers that he and Zhou Yizhou were together.

He Jing teased Chen Hebin for being so fast, then said in a profound tone, “Little Chen, you must cherish what you have. You must treat your omega well, unlike someone else who won’t even know where to find his wife when the time comes.”

The “someone else” shot He Jing a cold glare upon hearing his comment, but He Jing was not the least bit afraid of Qin Luzhi’s icy gaze. He was, after all, just speaking the truth.
