TVAAMRF Chapter 1

Transmigrating

Chapter 1 – Transmigrating

Su Tang never imagined that after simply finishing his internship work, returning to his dormitory, and falling asleep, he would wake up to find himself transmigrated.

Transmigration alone would have been enough, but he’d landed deep in a mountain forest. After trudging through the wilderness for hours, exhausted and famished, he was inexplicably captured. His captor wore a hooded cloak, revealing only a pair of greedy crimson eyes.

Whatever he saw, it didn’t seem human at all.

The captor must have done something, for Su Tang suddenly found himself unconscious.

When he awoke again, Su Tang was jolted awake by pain.

He was trapped in a cage, being auctioned off.

Someone had cut his palm, and fresh blood flowed out. The person was still using flowery language to praise how sweet and delicious his blood was.

Su Tang’s mind went blank, completely bewildered.

Was he dreaming?

No, he wished he were dreaming.

The pain in his hand wasn’t the worst part. The critical issue was that he saw the seats below filled with… no, not people, but—vampires.

Their skin was pale, their features strikingly handsome and beautiful, their bearing noble. Normally, such a gathering of high-appeal men and women would be pleasing to the eye. But now, their eyes glowed red with the alluring scent of blood emanating from Su Tang in the cage on stage. Desire, greed, hunger… these were the eyes of predators.

The ivory fangs beneath their lips itched to pierce the skin of the delicious human on stage, to feast on the delicacy.

Under the weight of so many terrifying gazes, Su Tang instinctively shrank back until his back hit the iron bars of the cage. There was nowhere to hide. A chill invaded his body, and he couldn’t stop shivering. He was like fish meat on a cutting board, completely at the mercy of others.

In this moment of near-death, Su Tang’s mind buzzed, his heart pounding so fast it was hard to think clearly. He gritted his teeth, scanning his surroundings for an escape route, but none would work against these non-human creatures.

While he was thinking, a vampire had already bought him. The crowd of red-eyed vampires below remained strangely silent, not bidding against each other at all, as if revering something.

Su Tang faintly heard words like “prince” being mentioned.

He hadn’t delved deep into vampire lore, but classmates who read novels had mentioned that princes held high status among vampires—something about pure-blooded lineage.

Su Tang had considered escape, but exhaustion and hunger left him utterly drained. Even standing proved impossible.

The vampire prince who purchased him approached with ease, lifting Su Tang from the cage and cradling him. A pale, slender finger brushed his ankle, cold as ice. The hand was beautiful, flawless like a meticulously carved sculpture, but Su Tang couldn’t appreciate it. The moment contact occurred, he instinctively shrank back, fearing the prince would drain his blood dry. He felt he might wet himself from terror.

Unexpectedly, the prince merely hooked his finger around the chain, snapping it with a metallic clink. A cloak dropped on Su Tang, enveloping him completely.

The prince held him as they moved with wind-rushing speed. Had it not been for the cloak and the vampire’s protective embrace, the gale would have torn his skin off.

Before Su Tang could process what happened, he found himself in a lavish room, placed onto a plush bed.

Su Tang’s breath caught in his throat.

Is this… the end?

A towering shadow loomed over him. The room’s gloomy darkness concealed the vampire’s features, but Su Tang knew better than to underestimate his appearance. As a pure-blooded Prince, this creature would undoubtedly be more handsome than any other vampire he’d seen earlier.

Perhaps sensing his inevitable fate, Su Tang slumped like a limp fish, convinced he could face death with composure. Yet when the Prince’s overwhelming aura washed over him, primal survival instincts surged. Though futile, he couldn’t suppress the urge to scramble upright and flee.

To a vampire, human movements appear infinitely slowed. The Prince effortlessly pinned him down, lowering his head to Su Tang’s neck. Fangs pierced skin as fresh blood gushed into the Prince’s mouth. His throat bobbed with each swallow.

In the candlelit gloom, Su Tang glimpsed the Prince’s face—eyes glazed with intoxication.

Pain wracked Su Tang’s body, accompanied by an indescribable tingling numbness. His muscles convulsed uncontrollably.

In his fading consciousness, Su Tang burned with resentment. This inexplicable transmigration, becoming vampire prey—what a cruel death! He was still so young, having tasted so few delicious foods and barely seen his homeland’s magnificent landscapes.

He refused to die.

Mustering a final burst of defiance, Su Tang fought with desperate strength, determined to make his attacker suffer even in death. He clamped his jaws around the man’s shoulder, then viciously bit down on the neck, drawing a mouthful of icy blood that surged through his veins. Strangely, the taste proved intoxicating, flooding his body with indescribable power that banished fatigue and hunger.

Such brazen defiance should have provoked fury. Su Tang braced for the expected counterattack.

Yet the Prince didn’t retaliate. Instead, he pulled Su Tang deeper into his embrace, stroking his trembling back like comforting a child. The man’s calm demeanor suggested he’d anticipated this reaction, even… welcomed it?

What twisted game was this?

He pondered in confusion, but before reaching any conclusion, darkness engulfed his vision, and he lost consciousness.

Within the castle, the prince’s housekeeper stood silently in the shadows, his face potraying no emotion. Sensing the powerful blood aura emanating from the room, he allowed himself a rare smile of satisfaction.

The master has finally found his destined one.

Su Tang remained unaware that these vampires differed fundamentally from those depicted in movies and novels. Pure-blooded vampire princes required no human blood, as only their destined companion’s essence could sustain them. The blood of others reeked to them, utterly unpalatable.

Though possessing immense power, pure-blooded vampires could maintain their strength through blood tablets alone. However, failure to find their destined companion led to gradual madness, akin to a spiritual energy imbalance. Their companion served as a natural stabilizer, creating perfect resonance.

Once a companion was found, the next step involved forming a binding pact. This ritual remained shrouded in mystery, its true nature known only to those participating.

On the soft, luxurious bed, they lay entwined like twin swans, their bodies merging in perfect unity, indistinguishable from one another.

Su Tang blinked, astonished by two things: first, that he was still alive; second, that he seemed to have transmigrated again.

And now there was this strange system in his mind.

A calm mechanical voice said, “Hello, host. The binding is complete. I will now guide and assist you in curing and saving blackened villains. Once the task is completed, you can return.”

Su Tang’s mind was still stuck on the scene of fighting against the vampire. There seemed to be a faint taste of blood lingering in his mouth, making him lick his lips unconsciously. He wanted to drink more.

After hearing the system’s words, he wasn’t particularly interested. After a while, he tilted his head and said, “Why must I return to my original world?”

Before transmigrating, Su Tang was a university student who had successfully secured a good job and was starting his internship, working hard to earn money. He was just an ordinary member of the 00s generation—a bit goofy, a bit chuunibyou, and a bit of a lazy bum. The only difference was that he had lost his parents in elementary school. As an orphan, he had grown up following the routine, but this seemed to have had little impact on him. He had no attachments—if he ate his fill, the whole family wouldn’t go hungry. Why must he return to his original world? Isn’t life the same everywhere? He might as well accept his fate and live happily.

Moreover, this was his second transmigration. If he went back to the vampire world, would he just get killed again? Better not.

The system seemed caught off guard by this answer, a bit at a loss. “…You don’t want to do the task? Why not check out the details first? If there are any requirements, as long as I can do it, I’ll do my best to meet them.”

Su Tang was stunned. He sometimes read some novels too. If the host didn’t want to do the quest, wouldn’t the system threaten and force them? This system… had a bit of a soft personality.

As they say, don’t hit a smiling face. With the system being so easygoing, and Su Tang being the type who responds better to kindness than force, he couldn’t bring himself to refuse. He only gave a vague agreement.

The system immediately transmitted the world information to him.

Su Tang’s mind was filled with some things that could be called a plot. If you looked at this small world as a novel, it was probably a story about a domineering CEO’s mad love.

The female lead was Chen Yingying, a rookie who had just started interning at the company. She had a pure, confused, optimistic, and strong personality. Her work skills weren’t outstanding, but she was very diligent and hardworking. Even after everyone else had left, she would still stay at the company to work overtime. This was how she accidentally met the group’s heir, Luo Yuan, and fell in love at first sight, secretly harboring her feelings.

However, Luo Yuan wasn’t the male lead. On the contrary, he was the stumbling block in the path of the male and female leads’ romance. The true male protagonist was Luo Yuan’s half-brother from the same father, Luo Chen. The villain Luo Yuan was born from Luo Father’s business marriage, but Luo Father never favored this son. His heart remained with his first love, with whom he had a secret child—none other than the male lead, Luo Chen.

Luo Chen grew up doted upon by his parents, while Luo Yuan’s mother died early and his father’s presence was barely felt. This upbringing molded Luo Yuan into a cold and withdrawn person who rarely smiled, treating even his own father like a stranger. In stark contrast to the cheerful and likable Luo Chen, Luo Father grew to dislike his eldest son even more. He even considered having Luo Chen return to inherit the family business.

Next came the chance meeting between Luo Chen and Chen Yingying. The male lead fell in love with this special woman at first sight. She didn’t like him? No matter—he’d take her by force. In this world, there was nothing Luo Chen couldn’t obtain! Thus began the cycle of the female lead escaping, being captured, escaping again, and being recaptured… repeating the endless pattern of a twisted, violent romance.

Su Tang stared at the screen, utterly bewildered. Holy shit, is this supposed to be the male lead? he thought. He’s even more villainous than the actual antagonist! Rape, drugging, imprisonment—what single one of these isn’t illegal? He’s practically a perfect candidate for a law enforcement program!

And isn’t the male lead supposed to have been raised under his parents’ doting care? Su Tang continued. How is he more twisted than even the orphaned villain from another story? His moral compass is downright horrifying!

With a conflicted expression, Su Tang skipped past the premium Jinjiang content that even paying members couldn’t access. He watched as the villain and male lead clashed over their family’s inheritance. As the group’s heir, the villain naturally held considerable power, but no amount of influence could overcome the protagonist’s halo. In a twist of fate, the villain later developed feelings for the female lead, repeatedly facilitating opportunities for the two main characters. After a bitter struggle, he ended up with nothing to show for it, ultimately meeting a tragic end in a car accident.

Su Tang had initially hoped to see the female lead grow strong and punish the scum, but this development left him even more confused. Wait, this is the guy who forced himself on you! How could you fall in love with him and get a happy ending? Are you Stockholm Syndrome-stricken? Don’t you fear he’ll beat you later, female lead?!

If the female lead were to appear before him now, Su Tang would have wanted to slice open her skull, examine her twisted thoughts, and drain all the murky water from her brain.

As Su Tang ranted, the system chimed in with unexpected agreement. Its mechanical voice carried a hint of earnest cuteness. “I feel the same way,” it said.

Su Tang wanted to laugh and asked, “So what’s my status here?”

[Paper man.]

“…Huh?”

[You’re a game character from Luo Yuan’s phone. Since he has difficulty trusting others, data analysis suggests this approach will be more effective.]

Su Tang glanced around the simple bedroom—bed, desk, wardrobe, bathroom. Though compact, everything was present. It felt like a typical single-person apartment.

Looking down, Su Tang saw his chubby palms and furrowed his brow in confusion. He approached the wardrobe mirror and saw his reflection—the same face, but shrunken. Short and small, with a round face, short limbs. He looked exactly like a 3-head-tall anime character, a Q-version of himself.

Su Tang stared blankly at the mirror, which reflected his expression perfectly. But with that 3-head-tall body, every pose just looked cute.

After a moment’s thought, Su Tang asked, “Is there a penalty for failing the mission?”

[Of course not.]

“Oh,” Su Tang said, then lifted his round face with an excessively adorable smile. A small dimple appeared at the corner of his mouth as he said sweetly, “You mentioned you could fulfill my requests. Could you give me a computer, phone, and Wi-Fi? And if possible, lots of snacks would be even better~”

A free house delivered to his doorstep, complete with computers, smartphones, and Wi-Fi. Paired with endless supplies of potato chips, spicy snacks, and ice cream, all while never leaving the comfort of home—wasn’t this the perfect life he’d always dreamed of? Even in his sleep, he could laugh so hard it sounded like a pig’s snort!

System: “……” Wait, what?!

Author’s Note:

Su Tang: I quit being human. Let me just be a lazy fish instead.

System: This is too much.
