TVAAMRF Chapter 12

Paper Man (Part 11)

Chapter 12 – Paper Man 11

Su Tang slept like a pig, snoring softly and oblivious to the world around him. When he finally opened his eyes, he rubbed them sleepily and sat up, lazily lifting the “blanket” covering his head. Only then did he realize it wasn’t a blanket at all, but Luo Yuan’s shirt.

The air was thick with steam, making everything hazy and difficult to see. The scent of wetness hung heavy in the air.

Su Tang’s eyes fell upon the tall figure standing beneath the showerhead—broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long legs. Water streamed down the defined muscles, creating a scene so provocative it could make hormones surge. The sight was so sensual it could make one’s legs go weak.

Having woken up to this unexpected sight, Su Tang was utterly dumbfounded. His face flushed crimson, like a steam-powered locomotive with smoke rising from his head. His ears turned bright red, whistling with heat, while his dark eyes grew moist and shiny. Overwhelmed by embarrassment and helplessness, even the small curls on his head stood straight up, making him look like a puppy sitting dumbly in the corner.

When Su Tang finally regained his composure, he quickly turned away. He’d accidentally seen Luo Yuan completely naked—even that area! Damn, he really lives up to being the perfect villain, doesn’t he? Su Tang thought bitterly. Blessed with such extraordinary gifts. As a fellow man, I can’t help but feel envy and resentment.

After a moment, Su Tang couldn’t resist turning back for a furtive glance.

Holy shit.

This is completely unnatural. Unscientific. Even his belly is bulging.

Su Tang flushed with embarrassment at the vivid images flashing through his mind. He vigorously shook his head, then ducked under the massive shirt like an ostrich, remaining motionless for several seconds before remembering he should leave.

But now he was trapped on a corner shelf surrounded by damp ceramic tiles. With no handholds available, he could only wait for Luo Yuan to finish bathing.

Fortunately, Luo Yuan moved quickly and soon completed his shower. Su Tang, fearing he might be stuck in the bathroom all night, hastily emerged. As Luo Yuan reached out, Su Tang leaped onto him—but in his haste, he misjudged the landing spot and plunged headfirst into the collar of Luo Yuan’s bathrobe. Panicking, he clutched at the fabric and tilted his head, catching a glimpse of something distinctly different from human skin. His ears burned as he hastily turned away, scrambling back onto Luo Yuan’s shoulder with all four limbs. Only then did he manage to breathe a relieved sigh.

It had been utterly exhausting.

Both physically and emotionally, it felt like a rollercoaster ride.

Unaware of the commotion, Luo Yuan irritably wiped his hair, walked to the hotel bed, and sat down. He glanced at his phone—the little guy still hadn’t returned.

Luo Yuan’s expression darkened further. Everything about the documents annoyed him, his mood growing increasingly irritable.

He flipped through the papers with a sharp crunch, the words blurring before his eyes. A dangerous glint flashed in his gaze. In his agitated state, the paper’s edge sliced his finger, drawing blood.

In that instant, Su Tang’s eyes transformed. Scarlet light flared in the darkness, as if possessed by an overwhelming temptation. In a moment of disorientation, the figure standing on Luo Yuan’s shoulder vanished—reappearing on the paper in the next breath.

Su Tang’s eyes glazed over. He seized Luo Yuan’s bleeding finger, pressing it to his lips. His hungry tongue lapped at the residual blood. Though a mere drop, to Su Tang’s miniature form, it seemed like a palm-sized droplet. The blood slid down his throat as he greedily swallowed, savoring the exquisite taste. When the bleeding finally stopped, Su Tang stared at the finger with lingering hunger, refusing to let go.

Luo Yuan felt only a slight sting as the paper sliced across his finger. Moments later, an inexplicable tingling sensation took hold, momentarily disorienting him. It was several seconds before he regained his composure, his brow furrowed in confusion. Yet strangely, the restlessness that had gripped his heart earlier had dissipated.

Luo Yuan glanced down at his finger, now bearing a shallow cut. Unconcerned, he checked the time and found it was late. He stood up, set down the documents, then turned off the light and lay down.

As Luo Yuan tidied up, Su Tang naturally rolled off the paper onto the bed. The tiny figure, no larger than a child’s palm, sat on the soft mattress without even leaving an indentation.

After realizing he had drunk blood and found it delicious, Su Tang froze like a petrified statue in the darkness. He remained motionless for an indeterminate period until a crisp birdcall from outside the window startled him back to awareness.

Without hesitation, he scrambled to the phone at the head of the bed. Then he paused. “Tongtong, I want to return to the phone.”

The system, which had refrained from disturbing him during his trance-like state, immediately materialized. “Host, are you alright?” it asked nervously.

Su Tang shook his head, then stepped into the glowing screen of the phone. Just like the portal between the game world and reality, he jumped in and instantly found himself back in his familiar bedroom. The moment he landed, he climbed onto the bed, burrowed under the quilt, and curled up like a cocoon.

Outside the phone, Luo Yuan half-awake saw a finger-sized little person jump into the device. He thought he was dreaming, wondering if he’d gone too far with his game obsession, imagining Su Tang could actually exist.

When morning came the next day.

Luo Yuan woke up early as usual. Before he was fully awake, his hand already reached for the phone. In the past, he would first wash up, but now he’d developed the habit of checking for the little person as soon as he opened his eyes.

He’d been furious all day yesterday after not seeing the little person at all. He’d thought he wouldn’t find him even when opening the game today.

[ Su Tang has returned. ]

Luo Yuan’s eyes lit up, his mood instantly lifting. But then he remembered yesterday’s series of messages, and he sneered, “So you finally decided to come back.”

He didn’t realize how deeply resentful his words sounded.

Luo Yuan had hidden all the food and toys after Su Tang left without a word, swearing to keep them until Su Tang properly apologized.

But now that Su Tang was back, Luo Yuan opened his mouth to scold him, only to find Su Tang curled up in the blankets, looking rather unwell.

Luo Yuan frowned slightly, concerned. He gently tugged at the blankets, revealing a small, curled-up head. The boy lay there, the bedding soaked below him in a pool of tears. Beside him lay a piece of paper with two large words written on it: “Last Will.”

Luo Yuan: “……!!!”

What happened?! he thought. Did one trip out make him want to die? Was he bullied outside?

Luo Yuan’s anger flared immediately. He wanted to avenge his little one.

But then he remembered the previous comments he’d seen. Could it be that Su Tang fell for someone, but the person was already taken? So now he’s heartbroken and depressed?!

Luo Yuan’s expression grew darker and darker, turning frighteningly grim.

[ Su Tang: I’m a monster, waaah! ]

When Luo Yuan saw this message, he froze. His anger vanished, leaving only concern. He asked what was wrong, but Su Tang didn’t answer, his eyes red and swollen like a pitiful little animal’s, evoking sympathy.

Luo Yuan had no idea how to comfort people. Panicking, he could only pile Su Tang’s favorite snacks in front of him, hoping it might cheer him up.

The tempting aroma of the snacks drew Su Tang’s attention as he cried. Feeling a bit hungry, he sniffled and grabbed a pack of shrimp-flavored crisps. After eating two, he froze.

He could still eat!

So he hadn’t become a vampire? Then why did he enjoy drinking blood?

Could he be half-vampire?

Whatever the case, being able to continue eating human food brought Su Tang immense relief. The fear of suddenly becoming some other terrifying creature began to fade.

Su Tang munched on the crisps, wiped away his tears, and finally managed a small smile.

Luo Yuan let out a huge sigh of relief.
