TWSITAOCP Ch. 14

Can He Really Satisfy You?

The entire Class 3 Arts remained quiet all day, with the corner area being particularly silent. More noticeably, very few people stayed in the classroom during non-class hours.

After finally getting to the comprehensive class, all the students in the classroom scattered like birds and beasts, fearing that they would be caught by the disciplinary department to make up numbers.

“Right now, there are three versions: A, B, and C. Which one do you want to hear first?” Yang Feiwen hugged two music score books, tucking a small note between the pages.

They stood near the back door, and Yu Sui was leaning against the railing. With a slight turn of his head, he could see a young man sitting in the back row—spine straight, cold demeanor, and aloof.

Yan Xiu had a red armband pinned on the edge of his shirt. His armband seemed brighter than others—with two stern words on it: Minister [mfn] bù cháng (部长)[/mfn].

The Minister leaned back against his chair, holding a red pen and Yu Sui’s thin notebook.

Even from this distance, one could sense his slightly depressed mood. Yan Xiu, in this room of neither serious nor serene, wrote in his notebook with a red pen.

He seemed to hesitate for a moment, then reached out and grabbed a pencil, and decisively made a line across the notebook.

Yu Sui couldn’t bear to watch any further and quietly looked away.

Not even five minutes after lending out the notebook, Young Master Yu realized that something was wrong. The young master had always been negligent in studying—those square, straight characters were only recognized superficially. The notes made by such a lazy person naturally exuded an air of lazy mystery from beginning to end.

Inside the classroom, Yan Xiu seemed to sense something. He raised his thin eyelids and glanced at the young master outside.

In just a quick glance, Yan Xiu pursed his lips slightly. His perfectionism prompted him to draw another line across the notebook in his hand, adding some words that normal people could understand.

This was a lazy man’s divine scripture, written in English and Chinese. The young master couldn’t be bothered to write any connecting words and just scribbled a few English letters.

In those two classes, math was alright as it was mostly formulas and numbers. As for geography, perhaps because there were too many words, Young Master Yu’s laziness reached its peak.

[……The size of the wind speed mainly depends on the size of the pressure gradient between the two places, that is, the pressure difference~……]

[The combination of warm and cold air forces warm air to rise.]

[Heat expands, cold contracts…]

Before getting this notebook, Yan Xiu had suspected whether Yu Sui wrote the notes specifically for him. Now, he guessed that this might be a draft made by the young master when he had nothing to do.

And full of typos too.

Yang Feiwen yelled, “At least give me some face!”

Yu Sui came back to his senses, his dark eyes looking somewhat distracted: “…Hmm?”

“I said…” Yang Feiwen stood on tiptoe and spotted several policemen coming out of the corridor. He immediately dragged Yu Sui away, “Something big happened in the disciplinary committee. That’s why our discipline minister is so angry today, as if he wants to eat someone.”

“Ah.” Yu Sui opened his mouth and forced himself to swallow the words. “Actually, it’s not that bad. He’s not that scary.

He asked, “What happened?”

Yang Feiwen looked around: “The first version said that there was a fight in the English corner of our school, and it seems pretty serious. City officials made their routine visits to check on the school’s situation. It just so happened that one of the leaders had diarrhea and wandered around our building for a long time but couldn’t find the toilet. He went to the English corner and almost bumped into the people fighting.”

“…” Some areas of the school had outdated surveillance cameras, and habitual rule-breakers knew exactly which spots were safe. That English Corner was one of them.

Yu Sui pondered this version and felt that the logic was quite comprehensive. If this happened, the city officials and the school would be furious, and the impact would be quite serious.

However, since there had been no notification of disciplinary actions against anyone after all this time, it was very likely that this leader did not recognize the faces of those students. This pressure would fall on the school leaders, who would put pressure on the teachers, who would then the student council, and the student union would continue to put pressure on the Discipline Inspection Department.

“What about the second version?” Yu Sui asked.

“The second one…” Yang Feiwen hesitated for a moment before quickly adding, “They said that the Head of the Discipline Inspection Department finally got the beauty he wanted and was very proud of himself, but he ended up arousing the anger of the entire disciplinary department. And most importantly, it broke the heart of our School Belle President Zhanni… Oh, by the way, everyone suspects that Zhanni likes the minister, so love turns to hate, which is why the President kept causing trouble for the Discipline Department, and then…”

As soon as Yu Sui heard the beginning, he felt that this version wasn’t serious. He couldn’t imagine Yan Xiu’s face full of peach blossoms. When his mind finally processed the implication, he interrupted Yang Feiwen: “What do you mean by the ”finally got the beauty he wanted”? That beauty is not me, right?”

“…” Yang Feiwen abruptly changed the subject: “Let me tell you about the third version.”

Yu Sui didn’t know whether to laugh or not, suddenly grabbing Yang Feiwen’s neck and pulling him back. Yang Feiwen ran away while shouting “Murder!” and Yu Sui chased after him.

They ran all the way through half of the building, passing by that English corner.

This English corner had been abandoned for many years, and there were few books left on the triangular bookshelf. As Yu Sui ran past, he glanced over and saw a boy running away with a book in his arms.

“Minister.” Zheng Zi’an stood waiting at Class 3’s door with Disciplinary Committee members.

Not a single person was missing.

Yan Xiu stuffed his notebook back into the desk and stood up to follow them out.

“We’ve searched every bathroom.” Zheng Zi’an whispered to Yan Xiu, “No one is there today—all went to class. Maybe it’s just the beginning of the school year, so they’re all well-behaved.”

Before he could finish his words, Yan Xiu’s reproachful look shut him up. Zheng Zi’an felt the sting of embarrassment.

Everyone thought nothing would happen at the beginning of the semester, but a fight was discovered, and right during the patrol time of the Discipline Department.

Because of this incident, the discipline committee had been lectured for two full classes early in the morning.

Even though the mistake wasn’t really their fault, the attitude of the disciplinary committee turning a blind eye had long annoyed the elderly director of the Moral Education Department. When he finally got a chance, he named and criticized more than a dozen members of the discipline department.

Do you think the Disciplinary Committee is your own home? Hiding in the office during PE class, playing favorites during duty—learning such corrupt behavior at such a young age! What will become of you when you grow up!”

Everyone present didn’t have any good expression when recalling the old machine gun who looked like a frog. Someone at the back muttered directly: “There are almost 6,000 students in this school. The scattering of students is so serious—who knows how many people fight every week. Does he really expect us to do something like the Black Cat Sheriff or something?”

After he finished speaking, Yan Xiu shot him a glare.

They passed by Class 6 Arts and stopped suddenly.

It hadn’t been long since the second-year class assignments, and the fresh class list was still posted by the classroom door. Yan Xiu stared at the names on it for a while before asking out of the blue: “Where are the students in their class?”

“Oh. They all went to class. They were in the PE class, while you were in the class.” Zheng Zi’an touched his nose and said awkwardly. “I know you suspect them, bbut none of us were at the scene to see it, so we can’t just deduct their points.”

There are also repeat offenders in Class 6 Liberal Arts. The names of Mai Dayong and Shen Ji were familiar to many ordinary students, not to mention those from the Discipline Inspection Department.

Normally, people would avoid them when they see them. He was considered a gangster, on the same level as Tang Bohu and Liang Wen in Yan Xiu’s class. However, thanks to Yan Xiu, Class 3 had been staying in the classroom during the periods they shouldn’t leave. At least, they were not giving the disciplinary committee any chances to catch them fighting.

Yan Xiu shrugged his shoulders as if he didn’t care: “Where are they taking classes?”

Two music scorebooks were placed on the steps. The wind blew over some yellow leaves that had been withered for who knows how long that they gently covered the music books.

Yu Sui held the takeaway respectfully and sat with Yang Feiwen. There was a security camera in the upper right corner, but it stopped lighting up long ago.

This was a brief break after a class period.

“I’m suffocating. After all, he’s still a cop.” Yang Feiwen whispered. “If I hadn’t been supporting you two as a couple, I would have given up long ago.”

A group of boys approached from the nearby bicycle shed, messing around with each other.

Yu Sui and Yang Feiwen looked up, then buried themselves in their takeout without noticing anything.

There were only a few corners in this school available to rule-breaking students, and sometimes they had to be shared.

These faces were familiar—Tang Bohu, Liang Wen, Mai Dayong and Shen Ji.

“Sui’er, give me a meatball.” Tang Bohu leaned over two steps, opening his mouth to beg for food.

Yu Sui used a bamboo stick to skewer two pieces and gave them to him and Liang Wen, saying, “Smoke further away later. Don’t stand in the upwind direction of us.”

“Okay.” Tang Bohu responded.

Liang Wen took out his lighter from his pocket. And the other guys, cigarettes in their mouths and cards in their hands, occupied a large corner to play cards.

Although Yu Sui knew Mai Dayong and Shen Ji, he had never interacted with these two people and wouldn’t even nod when they met on the street.

Mai Dayong had a large burn scar on his arm, and wasn’t popular with girls. He liked to say bad things about them behind their backs. Shen Ji on the other hand, had a round head and rather a cute appearance, but he often acted tough with Mai Dayong, creating an inconsistency.

Seeing those two here today, Yang Feiwen spoke less. And the two people above just focused on eating.

Who knew that Mai Dayong suddenly got interested today and started a conversation with Yu Sui: “Hey, Yu Sui, is that guy from the Discipline Inspection Department really your boyfriend?”

Yu Sui ignored him, lowering his head to eat the last bite of his rice noodles, He then planned to pack it up and throw it away.

Mai Dayong suddenly threw a few cards on the steps: “Plane.”

After saying that, he turned around and stared at the overly handsome boy on the steps: “Tsk tsk, so he really is your boyfriend?”

Yu Sui turned his head slightly, looking down at him from above.

The difference between ordinary banter and malicious provocation was very obvious, even if the words didn’t seem too different.

“I’m just fucking curious,” Mai Dayong said. “He’s such a skinny weakling. Can he really satisfy you?”

The malicious implication was so obvious that some people around cursed and threw away their cards. But Mai Dayong didn’t expect that the first person to grab him by the collar was this handsome youth who always seemed to have a good temper.

Yu Sui’s distinct black-and-white eyes fell on his face. His gaze, usually smiling, was now calm and devoid of emotion, then a fist came crashing down.

“Do I look thin to you?” His voice was still gentle. “Does it satisfy you?”
