Some say that the faint outline of the square earthen city you see in the midnight sandstorm is actually the ghost of Yumen Pass*.
*Yumen pass- a military pass and major traffic route on the Silk Road during Han dynasty
TLs note: The blurb is quite vague, but I hope you try it out anyways, because this book is phenomenal. You can rate the novel over at NU. Happy reading, lovelies!
✶ Translator’s description of the book:
The male lead, Chang Dong, suffers from an accident in the past. He gets roped into travelling to the desert by our mischievous female lead- Ye Liuxi. Along the way other characters join them in their journey and they form a tight-knit group. This book is 50% funny/flirtatious dialogue between the main leads and 50% adventure with the found family trope. Of course there are some mysteries I can’t reveal 👀
What’s truly intriguing is that the author uses real cities and landmarks in China, so the book ends up feeling super authentic.
Schedule: One chapter per week; an extra chapter for each ko-fi.
Messsage for Ana and/or the translator.
On Novel Updates the category Type “Light Novel” only applies to novels from Japan. Novels from all other countries are either a “Web Novel” or a “Published Novel”. Or at least I assume you’re the one who keeps changing the Type for this novel from Published Novel to Light Novel. You can check the above with the NU staff if you doubt it, or simply do a search on NU for non-Japanese Light Novels (below) and notice there are no results. And there are no results for the reason mentioned.

You didn’t state the Original Publisher info, but if you are not translation the Published Novel version, and are translating the version on jjwxc, then Web Novel might be the correct Type. But only you know which version you are translating.
I see! I apologize for changing it up, I just really wasn’t sure if I should classify it as a published novel or not (since I am translating from jjwxc), and light novel seemed like the approriate “description” for the story. Thank you for pointing it out! I will change it to a web novel. I hope that’s alright with you.
Thanks for understanding. And if you are translating the version on jjwxc then Web Novel would be correct.
LOOOOL I love your updated description of the book 🤣🤣🤣 Now I’m kinda curious how far you are into the book, assuming you’re reading faster than what you have translated
I am maybe one chapter ahead of the one I’ve translated. I don’t like to read the next chapters, because I get bored when having to translate them and reread them a million times. Also, it’s more motivating, because the book is so interesting and I have to translate in order to read more. Long explanation 😂
True, true…that makes sense, it’s gonna get too redundant. I was just surprised cause your description sounded super apt 🤣
