Wei Yaoshuo never expected that, after everything that had happened, that person would still request to meet his senior brother and apologize sincerely.

When he heard the person’s voice through telepathy, Wei Yaoshuo had only one thought, “Don’t joke around.”

Why, after everything, had that person only now realized how good his senior brother was?

He had barely managed to get his senior brother away from that person, had worked so hard to bring his senior brother into his own arms, and made sure that everything about his senior brother was now tinged with his own scent.

His senior brother was too soft-hearted, and had even been willing to sacrifice his life for that person. If that person truly apologized, how could his senior brother possibly not reconcile with him?

Don’t joke around!

At this point, he wouldn’t allow it!

He wouldn’t allow it!

Just the thought of those two drinking together, just the thought of his senior brother looking at that person with such a gentle gaze, made Wei Yaoshuo feel like his jealousy was eating him alive.

The jealousy that was fermenting inside him burned like coal thrown into a raging fire. From the faint wisps of smoke to the scorching flames that gnawed at his bones, it spread inch by inch, tightening its grip, until it consumed all his rationality.

It was madness, pure jealousy.

Wei Yaoshuo almost tortured himself as he controlled Mi Dao’s feelings. After days of practice, Wei Yaoshuo was already intimately familiar with his every reaction. Every movement of his hands was so precisely calculated to hit all of Mi Dao’s sensitive spots.

“Promise me, you will never see him again in this lifetime,” Wei Yaoshuo whispered into Mi Dao’s ear, his voice dark and hoarse, filled with both threats and temptation.

Mi Dao, in a state of extreme confusion, his misty eyes filled with desire and fear, trembled all over. His lips moved, almost without his own awareness, and he mumbled a few words, “…No… I won’t see him…”

But this wasn’t the answer Wei Yaoshuo wanted. He tightened his grip and repeated, “Senior brother didn’t finish. Say it again.”

Mi Dao, his body twitching from Wei Yaoshuo’s torturous treatment, felt as though he might cry. In order to free himself and help Wei Yaoshuo, Mi Dao obediently repeated, “In this lifetime… I will never see him again…”

Wei Yaoshuo didn’t stop. It was as if he was pushing Mi Dao to the edge of a cliff, swaying and on the verge of collapse, yet there was no release. He lowered his voice and asked again, “Who is he?”

This was pure torture.

Mi Dao’s limbs were stiff, his back arched in a painful curve, and he could barely speak through his suffering, “It’s… it’s Senior Brother…”

Wei Yaoshuo stopped him, narrowing his eyes. “Say it properly.”

Mi Dao, both in pain and with a twisted sense of pleasure, was speechless.

Damn! Why did this big brother have so many demands?!

Mi Dao was almost at the point of losing his temper. He mumbled, “In this lifetime… I’ll never see Senior Brother again…”

As soon as the words left his mouth, Wei Yaoshuo released his hold on him, allowing Mi Dao, whose limbs were limp and breathing raggedly, to collapse back onto the bed.

Mi Dao had barely caught his breath when he felt Wei Yaoshuo lean down, his body pressing against his back. It seemed like Wei Yaoshuo had calmed down, no longer as furious as before.

This change in direction made Mi Dao greatly sigh in relief. He quietly lay back down, content to wait for whatever would come next.

However, just as Mi Dao thought Wei Yaoshuo would continue what he had been doing, he felt the cool touch of Wei Yaoshuo’s lips against his burning ear.

“Senior brother, remember what you said…”

Wei Yaoshuo paused for a moment, his lips pressed tight as he whispered, “In this lifetime, you will never see your good son again.”

Mi Dao: “…” Pfft.

Holy shit! That came out of nowhere!

He hadn’t expected that name to pop up at this moment!

System: “Ding! According to system analysis, the host’s mental state is unstable. R18 content has been prematurely terminated. Please rest well.”

Mi Dao, shocked, asked, “Why did it end early? Didn’t you say the plot hadn’t been triggered yet?”

System: “The host has already disabled the plot notifications.”

Oh, right. There was that issue.

Mi Dao awkwardly said, “Well then, since it’s been triggered, why turn it off?”

The system gave a faint smile, hinting, “Look, host, the weather is clear now.”

Mi Dao’s face darkened. “Shut up…”

Responding to the system’s prompt, Wei Yaoshuo pulled himself up from Mi Dao’s back, releasing a sigh of relief, and returned to his usual gentle demeanor.

He gently stroked Mi Dao’s hair, then kissed his forehead with tenderness. “Senior brother, I’m sorry. I was too hasty just now. We only just got together last night… Your health still hasn’t fully recovered. Rest a little longer. I’ll go fetch some medicine for you.”

As he watched Wei Yaoshuo leave, Mi Dao’s eyes filled with regretful tears.

Why did Wei Yaoshuo have to bring up his son?! Why did he ever name his son “Good Son”?! This is way too embarrassing!

In order to preserve his future happiness, Mi Dao, in his sorrow, made a resolution: next time, he would make sure to give his son a proper name…

Soon after, Mi Dao learned the real reason behind Wei Yaoshuo’s strange behavior. However, he didn’t get the news from the system, but from the female protagonist, Sheng Yiling.

That day, Wei Yaoshuo rushed out of the bedroom in a hurry, seemingly having received urgent news.

Mi Dao, exhausted from the previous night’s activities, was half-asleep when he felt Wei Yaoshuo kiss him lightly and say something about being back soon. Mi Dao barely noticed, groggily glancing at Wei Yaoshuo before turning over to fall back asleep.

But just as he was drifting off, the system suddenly “dinged” and woke him up.

The system said: “The female protagonist, Sheng Yiling, is approaching. Host, please be careful not to break character.”

Mi Dao: “…What the hell?!”

Why was Sheng Yiling here in the Demon Realm? And why had she sneaked into Wei Yaoshuo’s stronghold?!

Mi Dao was instantly wide awake.

He scrambled up, quickly casting a spell to tidy himself up. Then he sat cross-legged, adopting a calm and indifferent expression, as if nothing had happened the previous night and whatever had occurred was out of his control.

Just as he was settling into position, Sheng Yiling’s presence appeared in the room.

As the female protagonist, Sheng Yiling was not only extraordinarily beautiful and intelligent, but also possessed immense power after consuming the former Demon Lord’s inner core. With such strength, sneaking into Wei Yaoshuo’s stronghold was no difficult feat.

Sheng Yiling appeared in a flowing white robe, exuding a faint aura of light, which only accentuated her otherworldly, ethereal beauty.

Mi Dao glanced at her from a distance, “Tsk, my daughter really is beautiful—just like me.”

The system calmly responded, “It seems the host is being cuckolded.”

Mi Dao: “…”

Sheng Yiling quickly approached Mi Dao. Seeing his face, which hadn’t lost weight as expected, she paused in surprise before saying, “Senior Brother Wushang, I knew you’d be here.”

Mi Dao, upon hearing the voice, suddenly stiffened and straightened up. “You… Yiling… How are you here?!”

Before Sheng Yiling could answer, Mi Dao lowered his gaze, suppressing his turbulent emotions, and said coldly, “Leave here immediately! This is the Demon Realm, not a place for you!”

Although Sheng Yiling was strong, she might not be able to defeat Wei Yaoshuo. If Wei Yaoshuo returned now and captured her, it would be game over for Mi Dao.

But Sheng Yiling wasn’t scared off. Instead, she took two steps closer and sat by his bed. She looked at Mi Dao, her tone sincere, “Senior Brother Wushang, you don’t need to be like this. I know the truth about what happened ten years ago. It wasn’t your fault. The recent Demon army attack wasn’t your order either…”

“Stop talking!” Mi Dao hastily interrupted, lowering his eyes with indifference.

“The past is the past. I am a demon, and the ruler of the Demon Realm. No matter what happened ten years ago, the massacre of Shixiong’s family by my father is true, and so is the killing of your Ri Tian Sect disciples. Our two sides are like water and fire. We can never coexist—”

Sheng Yiling frowned, shaking her head quickly. “No! It’s not like that! The Eldest Brother said Wei Yaoshuo fell into darkness and took you away. We searched for you for days, only to learn you never returned to the Demon Palace. The Demon army’s actions were not your orders. Shixiong asked Wei Yaoshuo and deduced you’ve been locked up here…”

Oh…

Mi Dao finally understood why Wei Yaoshuo had wanted him to promise he would never see his “good son” again.

It turned out that the misunderstanding with his son had been cleared up, and Wei Yaoshuo was afraid that the father-son relationship would reignite.

Still keeping his cold demeanor, Mi Dao said to her, “I wasn’t locked up by him. The Demon army’s actions were my orders. I’ll spare you this time out of respect for you calling me Shixiong. Now leave! From now on, we go our separate ways.”

“No, Shixiong, I don’t believe you. You’re clearly too kind a person…”

Mi Dao: “…” (Crying internally).

How could he convince this girl to leave already?

Suddenly, Sheng Yiling noticed the shackles on Mi Dao’s feet. Her expression shifted to shock and distress. “These are shackles?! How could Wei Yaoshuo… How could he do this to you?! Senior Brother Wushang, is he trying to take your position as the Demon Lord? Why are you still protecting him? He’s full of ulterior motives!”

“Don’t interfere with Demon affairs. And don’t ask about me and Ah Shuo. Leave now!”

Sheng Yiling bit her lip, her beautiful eyes flashing coldly. “If that’s the case, I’m sorry, Shixiong!”

With that, she slapped the shackles on Mi Dao’s legs.

The blood-jewel-made shackles instantly shattered into powder, which fluttered and fell onto Mi Dao’s pants.

Mi Dao swallowed hard.

“Holy crap, I thought she was going to castrate me and take all my inheritance…”

System: “Host, wake up. You haven’t even paid off your debts yet. Where’s the inheritance?”

Mi Dao: “…”
