After hearing Fu Yuqian’s introduction, both Song Yu and his mother were looking forward to the meeting in a few weeks. Especially Song Yu—his gaze toward Fu Yuqian now carried a hint of… benevolence.
But Fu Yuqian had already trained himself to be patient. Sooner or later, he’d make up for it—in bed.
He asked Liu Le to arrange for housekeepers to clean and prepare his villa. Though the nearly 700-square-meter home had enough rooms, it had been mostly unoccupied and needed a thorough cleaning.
Once again, his visit to Song Yu was caught on camera and shared online. By now, netizens were completely used to how well he treated Song Yu. The topic #What’s the most touching thing a friend has done for you?# even started trending, and one of the top-liked comments read:
When I was heartbroken, my bro stayed with me the whole time—drinking with me, sleeping next to me. Now, we’re together. Thanks. P.S. I’m a guy.
The post included a photo of two handsome young men, their heads leaning together, both smiling brightly, exuding pure happiness.
This was enough to make people scream like prairie dogs.
The Shuangyu (Double Fish) fans firmly believed that one day, Fu Yuqian and Song Yu would also post a photo like that!
With this, Fu Yuqian’s public reputation reached an all-time high.
This did not sit well with Xingyue.
After they managed to apologize through President Qian, Fu Yuqian had indeed stopped blacklisting Ye Tiansi’s career. However, Ye Tiansi’s smear campaign against Song Yu had already taken a toll—his popularity had plummeted, and trolls and random netizens mocked him daily to the point where he didn’t even dare open Weibo.
Xingyue, at least, still had some sense left. They made Ye Tiansi record an apology video and post it online. He didn’t tag anyone, just uploaded it quietly to his account. Some softer-hearted netizens felt he deserved a second chance for acknowledging his mistakes, but they also knew that if Ye Tiansi wanted to redeem himself, only his future work could prove his worth.
Ye Tiansi, however, was filled with hatred. He wanted revenge, but Fu Yuqian’s backing was too powerful. Even President Qian had warned him not to stir up trouble. Left with no choice, he could only swallow his anger and play nice. Eventually, he managed to secure a role in an upcoming project after the New Year.
While Ye Tiansi’s issue was settled for now, Xingyue remained in turmoil.
The company’s reputation had tanked, and several artists whose contracts were expiring after the New Year were already looking for new agencies. Gossip articles were flying around, hinting at Xingyue’s exploitative contracts, further ruining its image. Despite holding multiple emergency meetings, the executives had no viable solutions.
They still had dirt on Song Yu, but it was only enough to threaten him personally—and he still wasn’t waking up.
Sheng’an Hospital was already the best in the country, and even top international medical teams had examined him, yet no one could figure out what was wrong. It was as if Song Yu simply refused to wake up.
Xingyue’s headquarters felt like a graveyard, filled with dead silence. They had already fired Song Yu’s driver and now shifted the blame onto Zhao Hua, as the dashcam recording clearly captured him being the first to threaten Song Yu.
Meanwhile, Fu Yuqian had people investigating the whereabouts of Xingyue’s hidden files, but progress was slow. He speculated that these confidential materials were held by very few individuals—possibly only one or two copies existed. So, he remained patient, waiting for the right moment to locate and steal them—eliminating this threat once and for all.
This secret not only restrained Song Yu but also held Xingyue in check, preventing them from acting recklessly. After all, Song Yu’s mother had been forced into that situation—if the public found out, they wouldn’t react negatively; they might even sympathize with her. But Song Yu couldn’t afford the consequences, so he had to proceed carefully.
Fu Yuqian wasn’t unwilling to bring down Xingyue—he had the ability to do so. However, he feared that in their desperation, they might recklessly expose the information. That’s why a slow, methodical approach was best—cutting them down little by little. This way, they would feel the pain without being pushed to the brink. And once they couldn’t endure it anymore, a breakthrough would naturally present itself.
Once he got his hands on the evidence, none of them would escape.
Fu Yuqian orchestrated everything behind the scenes, keeping Song Yu completely in the dark. He hoped that by the time Song Yu woke up, the matter would be fully resolved, so they could be together without any worries.
Ever since that last kabedon incident, Song Yu had finally admitted to himself that he liked Fu Yuqian. After all, Fu Yuqian was too perfect—how could he not fall for him? More importantly, Fu Yuqian had won over his fans. Thinking back to a little over a month ago, when he first realized he had turned into Fu Yuqian’s cat, his emotions were completely different from now.
Still, he worried that if they made their relationship public, many fans would be heartbroken. He needed to find a reasonable way to handle it—ideally, turning all their fans into Pisces girls!
That would be the perfect outcome.
For now, though, he was still in cat form, so he didn’t have to worry about all that just yet. He was good at enjoying the moment, so he became more affectionate. Every time Fu Yuqian beckoned, he would trot over, stand on his hind legs, and stretch out his front paws for a hug. And Fu Yuqian always scooped him up into his arms, giving him a gentle kiss.
As the New Year approached, Fu Yuqian’s work schedule lightened. He only took two days to shoot a couple of endorsement commercials; the rest of the time, he stayed home, diligently studying his script.
This made Song Yu notice something odd. Fu Yuqian was taking his script way too seriously—far beyond what a typical idol-turned-actor would. And his acting skills were improving at an alarming rate. Sometimes, when he got into character, Song Yu genuinely felt like he was looking at Leng Yunlin himself.
Fu Yuqian’s explanation was quite touching:
“I entered the industry to act. I’ve always had a deep love for it. But there’s a barrier between idol and film actors, so I spent three years as an idol just to be in the same circle as you.”
Song Yu thought that was one of the most romantic things he’d ever heard.
That night, after their bath, human and cat lay in bed together. Song Yu’s little head rested comfortably on Fu Yuqian’s arm, inhaling his pleasant scent while curiously watching him scroll through his phone. He saw Fu Yuqian skillfully switch to a private account and search for Fu Yuqian x Song Yu 18+ fanfiction.
Thanks to Fu Yuqian’s recent fanservice, the Pisces girls were on fire, producing content at lightning speed. Luxurious smut flooded the internet, some stories accelerating so fast they left people blushing and heart racing.
Fu Yuqian expertly navigated to a VIP thread, entered the password, and unlocked a high-speed train level fic.
Song Yu, forced to read along, had his worldview shattered. No way—his body could never bend that way!
But Fu Yuqian, deep in thought, murmured, “Can Xiao Yu’s body really be this flexible?”
“Meow!!” Song Yu immediately smacked the phone away with his paw, pressing his fluffy foot over Fu Yuqian’s eyes in a desperate attempt to cleanse his vision. If he had the ability, he would’ve reached into Fu Yuqian’s brain and flushed out all the nonsense. Yes, he could do splits—but not like that! Wake up, Fu Yuqian!
And what if I’m the one on top?!
…Though, that possibility seemed slim.
Fu Yuqian burst into laughter at Song Yu’s reaction. He was just trying to mentally prepare him—after all, his needs were… quite intense.
Holding Song Yu’s tiny paw, Fu Yuqian teased, “Is my little Yiyi thinking about finding a female cat?”
Song Yu felt utterly exhausted. Fu Yuqian was perfect in every way—except he was way too dirty-minded. A walking innuendo machine.
Time flowed by quickly, and soon, it was the 27th day of the twelfth lunar month—the day Fu Yuqian’s parents were returning to the country.
Early in the morning, Fu Yuqian and Song Yu got up. Song Yu meowed insistently, demanding to be dressed in the most handsome outfit—after all, he was about to meet his future mother-in-law and girlfriend fan. He had to make a great first impression!
Fu Yuqian stifled a laugh and dressed him in a dapper little suit, complete with a matching red bow tie. Song Yu was thoroughly pleased, standing up on his hind legs to give Fu Yuqian a cheek kiss.
After getting ready, they picked up Ying Qi and drove to the airport.
Ying Qi was also dressed formally today, his hair freshly trimmed, looking particularly sharp. Fu Yuqian teased him, “You’ve known my parents since childhood. Why are you dressing up so much?”
“I used to just be the neighbor’s kid. Now my status is different,” Ying Qi said, his palms sweaty from nerves.
“Oh? And what’s your status now? My sister-in-law?”
Ying Qi immediately bristled. “Don’t call me sister-in-law! Call me ge! I’m older than you by a year!”
“Sister-in-law.” Fu Yuqian grinned.
Ying Qi gritted his teeth, itching to fight him on the spot.
Song Yu, watching from the side, saw through Fu Yuqian’s teasing—he was deliberately distracting Ying Qi to ease his nerves.
My boyfriend filter is eight meters thick today.
At the airport, they still had over half an hour before the plane landed. Since Fu Yuqian’s identity made it inconvenient for him to enter, Ying Qi went inside alone.
Meanwhile, Song Yu sat up straight, keeping as still as possible to avoid wrinkling his little suit. Fu Yuqian tried to pick him up, but he pushed him away with a tiny paw.
For the first time, Fu Yuqian wondered—was it really a good idea to let his mom meet Song Yu?
The plane landed ten minutes ahead of schedule. Another thirty minutes later, Ying Qi emerged with Fu Yuqian’s parents.
Fu Yuan was a tall, imposing man, exuding an air of authority. His expression seemed cold, but the warmth at the corners of his eyes revealed his deep love for his wife—a hallmark of all the men in the Fu family.
Beside him was a stunning woman, about 1.8 meters tall even without heels, towering over Ying Qi. Her features leaned more Western, yet she didn’t look a day over thirty. Her fair skin and strikingly refined features made her seem youthful and elegant.
This was Fu Yuqian’s mother—Lareina. Her Chinese name, He Ling, came from the poetic phrase “Long banners flutter, harmony rings loud.” It was personally chosen by Fu Yuan.
He Ling was lively and warm. The moment she spotted Fu Yuqian’s car, she jogged forward and opened the passenger door. “Hey, lao san!”
Song Yu was momentarily dazzled by her beauty. Then, standing up, he cleared his throat and let out an elegant, mature, “Meow~”
A pleasure to meet you, beautiful and noble lady.
He Ling was immediately captivated by the sound. Looking down, she met the gaze of a handsome little cat in a crisp suit.
She locked eyes with Song Yu for a few moments before suddenly picking him up. “Lao San, why do this little kitty’s eyes look so much like my husband’s?”
As soon as she said that, both Fu Yuqian and Fu Yuan’s faces darkened.

Today’s update was delayed because, after eating my own cooking again, I threw up wuwuwu and lay down like a corpse for over an hour QAQ.
