WCHM Chapter 1

[First World- Campus romance plot] Chapter 01

At one o’clock in the morning, dark clouds covered the moonlight. City A was brightly lit, and the commercial center was still full of traffic. Across a few rows of buildings, FOM nightclub was bustling, with neon lights flashing over the screaming crowd, a scene that could only be described as a demon’s nest.

The atmosphere of FOM has never been as electric before.

A week ago, a newcomer named Lu Chi came to knock on the door. He was only hired as a waiter, responsible for cleaning up wine glasses for a monthly salary of 6,000 yuan and three daily meals. Unexpectedly though, he made a surprise, selling millions in alcohol on his very first night.

His secret was simple. While he did not sell himself, men were simply too eager to get him drunk. The rich young masters in town ordered more than a dozen champagne towers in one night, only for the chance of getting a brief smile from the beauty.

Manager Zhao of FOM saw that the money was good, and Lu Chi, who was in debt, also wanted to make progress, so the two shook hands, marking the beginning of a match made in heaven. So at the moment, the music was restless and countless eyes were raised, desperately looking at the thin figure on the dance floor.

Lu Chi, who was a movie emperor before his death, was used to that kind of focus. Under the light, his figure was extremely tall and thin, and his short hair was dyed into a beautiful shade of dusty pink. Even while vulgarly stripping, his body was agile, and the tips of his hair trembled like butterfly wings. However, his face was soaked with neon colors, hidden in plain sight. One could only vaguely see the rosy corners of his lips, raised in a mysterious smile.

The DJ pressed the button, and the “butterfly” took off his tulle shirt. In fact, he was quite insidious. Because of his thin figure, he could afford to stack five or six thin shirts on his body, making for an unlimited supply of clothes to take off. Even so, the screams around the dance floor were still continuous, and champagne towers fell like spring water, directly into Manager Zhao’s deep pockets.

In the corner, a plainly dressed teenager stood stunned. The door that led to the exclusive box on the fourth floor was also slightly open. Even a passing waiter couldn’t help but sigh: Tsk, so awesome.

It was awesome to be the center of the whole world.

…………………………..

Half an hour later, in the public bathroom on the fourth floor.

Lu Chi turned on the faucet, pouring cold water over his hot face. The water droplets slid down his curled black eyelashes, leaving a moist and shallow mark on the tip of his porcelain white nose, before quickly disappearing on the floor. Leaning against the cold stone brick wall, his appearance was very different from the carefree one he had shown just a moment ago, with vague signs of lazy fatigue.

The surroundings were quiet, and the sound insulation was also excellent, since the fourth floor only hosted one very exclusive box area, referred to as the VIP lounge. There were waiters and bodyguards in the corridor, with very few idle people and, if it weren’t for Lu Chi’s amazing performance that week, Manager Zhao would have never allowed him to come up.

After a while, Lu Chi looked in the mirror and pulled out a few tissues to wipe his face.

[Do we have enough?]

The system in his mind answered in seconds: [We have plenty, Baby. In this world, you owe a total of 5 million in gambling debts. With your bonus for tonight, we’ll still have 32 yuan and 58 cents left after you pay it off…]

[…Congratulations, today is Crazy Thursday. You’ll still have enough to order a set meal that comes with a free ice cream.]

Lu Chi wiped the water drops from his face and corrected it without changing his face: [First of all, don’t call me “Baby”. My name is Lu Chi, but you can call me “Host”.]

However, the system was very upright: [Our morality college said that all good-looking people were babies. You are very handsome, so you’re a baby.]

Lu Chi smiled politely.

Whose “baby” would be desperate enough to come hand in hand with a system that went by the name of “Professionally Immoral”, just seven days after they died, happy to become a third wheel?!

He was simply… Speechless. A week ago, the freshly deceased Lu Chi was busy floating on top of the colorful crystal gravestone he had specially customized before death, appreciating his excellent creativity.

Unexpectedly, some sort of existence that called itself the “Professionally Immoral” System appeared in front of his ghost and kidnapped him, forcing him to enter some random novel words and break up loving couples!

[Why would I want to break up couples?!] Lu Chi asked, feeling his entire life so far had been a joke.

System: [You’re beautiful enough.]

Lu Chi: [Why do you want to break up couples?!]

System: [I’m immoral enough.]

Lu Chi: [……]

The system then said very righteously that finding people who lacked morality was super easy these days. However, no one was both as beautiful and immoral as Lu Chi. Moreover, he would enter the novel at the beginning of the story, when the emotional line between the protagonists had not yet begun, so seducing one of them away was easy enough.

In fact, the difficulty was only rated as a 4/10.

System: [Baby, you’re so beautiful! Please do your best to break up the protagonists and become a thorn in their sides!]

After his death, the bored ghost of Lu Chi only thought for three seconds before happily agreeing (he only agreed because that immoral system threatened to detonate his beautiful, crystal gravestone if he didn’t agree in three seconds!).

…It was not easy to repair a crystal gravestone, okay?!

Unexpectedly (not really), his system was also unreliable, giving him a hard blow as soon as he opened his eyes. Lu Chi recalled the situation from a week ago, threw away the paper towel, and continued to smile.

[Secondly, it’s not me who owes money, but the identity you assigned to me. If I hadn’t been flexible enough, I would have been sold by the debt collectors a long time ago. How can you have the guts to congratulate me?]

[Cough… I can’t help it, I lack morality.], the system answered with a guilty tone.

This was Lu Chi’s first world but, as soon as he opened his eyes, he found out that everything was wrong. With no time to receive his assigned plot, he had to flash forward and dodge the fierce kick of the big man in front of him.

Looking up again, he found himself lying in a messy rented room, with severe pain all over his body. Obviously, he came right in the middle of receiving a beating. His aggressor stood at the door, surrounded by little lackeys and showing a “don’t mess with me” attitude.

“If you don’t pay back your loan within a week, I’ll sell you into prostitution!”, the big brother said with contempt while holding a cigarette in his mouth.

“Your little white face is so outstanding that someone must pay for it, right? And don’t think about running, I know you’re an orphan. If you dare to run, I dare to make you disappear forever!”

After saying his lines, the big man wearing a too-tight suit left, allowing the dusty Lu Chi to climb up from the floor. He couldn’t even afford to buy medicine, spending his last fifteen yuan on a pack of Band-Aids. After spending a day walking around the neighborhood and wailing in his own misery, Lu Chi finally decided to go to the FOM nightclub and sell his skills.

That specific nightclub was quite spacious, filled with rich second generations who had enough spare time to fool around. For them, Lu Chi was both good-looking and a new face. Even if he did not sell himself, people were still willing to pay for his company…

But Lu Chi knew it was temporary, with only a matter of time until his “novelty” wore off.

However, it was enough to pay back his debt.

Lu Chi took out his mobile phone, transferring the money he owed to the Loan Shark Bro with droopy, lazy eyes. Looking at his bank account that went from 5 million (and 32 yuan plus 58 cents) to just 32 yuan and 58 cents… Lu Chi could clearly feel a warm tear falling on the surface of his bitter little heart.

Loan Shark Bro was probably also shocked that he managed to collect 5 million in a week. A few seconds later, he actually sent him a thumbs-up.

Lu Chi… Lu Chi punched the air.

He did not block Big Brother’s number. The beating he ate was not a light meal to swallow so, if there was a chance, Lu Chi would love to fight back.

The system was excited in his mind: [Host Baby, we’re done with the debt. Do you want to receive the plot of this novel? The nightclub we’re in now is an important place and tonight is the beginning of the plot!]

It then started reciting out loud with a lot of emotion: [At the end of August when the university year at A University was just about to start, the protagonist Shou came from his remote village to the big city, looking for a job to support his studies. Of course, he came here, became a waiter, and blah, blah, blah… But was favored by a rich man who wanted to force him so he blah, blah, blah… Running away from him and blah…]

Lu Chi didn’t really listen to it. While looking at the mirror, he arranged his pink hair and fully embraced the “plot”.

It was… Similar to what the system rumbled about, a very common story. The protagonist Shou was named Gu Yanyan. His parents died early, leaving him in the care of his grandparents. He was innocent and stubborn, the perfect example of a delicate, little white flower.

His story unfolded tonight, on the brink of the university year. Because he lacked money, Gu Yanyan came to FOM to work as a waiter but was frightened by the messy environment inside. He accidentally escaped to the fourth floor, and then accidentally took a wrong turn, only to accidentally enter the VIP lounge.

Don’t ask why so many accidents happened to him, the author only described it as “fate~”.

Inside the VIP lounge was 18-year-old Liang Zhiyu, also a freshman at A University. Despite his young age, he was used to playing in private and had the reputation of a famous slob. He also saw a lot of enchanting faces, naturally falling for Gu Yanyan’s “little white flower” character setting, like a mouse falling straight into the rice jar.

Therefore, he became interested instantly, even planning to force him.

Poor little Gu Yanyan fell into a panic, but more than that, he was also shy and charmingly avoidant, playing harder to get than pigs on the Spring Festival. Finally, he opened his tender, little palm, slapping Liang Zhiyu twice.

The young master was naturally angry, angry enough to try and rip the white flower’s thorns on the spot. But just in time, one Liang Jiashu appeared, neatly stopping Liang Zhiyu’s nasty behavior. The fact that they shared the same last name was not a typo. They were cousins, with Liang Jiashu being the legitimate heir of the Liang family.

To summarize it, it was the story of two Gongs competing to gain the favor of the same Shou.

And in that story, Liang Zhiyu was bitterly defeated.

Of course, the rescued Gu Yanyan easily fell in love with Liang Jiashu. After the beginning of the school year, he found that Liang Jiashu was also the student council president, so he became more and more ecstatic, taking the initiative to approach him. Therefore, he entered the life of the two brothers, starting a bloody love entanglement…

Lu Chi read the plot with gusto, lamenting the author’s low IQ and the level of dog blood. Suddenly, he felt that someone was gently pulling his sleeve. Lowering his head along the force, he came face to face with… A little girl of about seven years old.

She was wearing a blue and white pair of overalls, accompanied by moist, big eyes. However, she was looking up at Lu Chi with no expression on her face.

Lu Chi squatted down and stared at her.

The little girl blinked. Then, she suddenly took out a bank card and stuffed it into Li Chi’s collar, still with that same, expressionless face.

Lu Chi: “…” (who brings a child to a nightclub?!)

He accepted the card, but still said with sincerity: “Thank you, but I don’t sell to minors.”

The little girl also answered with the same level of sincerity: “You’re welcome, the password is 88888. Handsome, you deserve it.” She then turned sideways again, pointing at the door of the largest box in the VIP lounge while saying: “My name is Liang Yi. Your dance is very beautiful. My brother asked you to go in there and show it to him in person.”

Her words were… At the very least humiliating and extremely disrespectful.

However, Lu Chi was not angry, only smiling with raised eyebrows. His dusty pink hair fell on the side of his face, showing an innate sense of sharpness and arrogance, beautiful enough to hurt the eye.

“Who’s your brother?”, he asked. “His mouth must be rotten if he needs to air it with such words.”

The little girl answered honestly: “His name is Liang Zhiyu. He has a bad temper, so please don’t say that in front of him later.”

Liang… Zhiyu?

The system started virtually vibrating in Lu Chi’s mind, saying with excitement: [Host Baby, it’s Gong no.2! It seems that we have caught up with the plot!] However, after the initial excitement, it too expressed in shock: [What’s his baby sister doing in here, anyway?! Forget about it, it doesn’t matter… Host, you must seize the opportunity later, become a fox demon, and seduce all those men!]

It seemed very enthusiastic to… Pimp his host up.

And just like that, Lu Chi was led by the little girl, slowly walking into the private box that was vibrating under the killer decibels of a death rock song.

Lu Chi raised his head, making eye contact with a pair of droopy, brown eyes. Their owner was young, extremely young even, with shoulder-length hair and silver punk rings on all ten fingers of his hands. It was suspected that his brain was already poisoned by the sharp screeches he called music.

… Unexpectedly, Liang Zhiyu turned out to be…

An awkward, non-mainstream teenager?!

Lu Chi’s mood was delicate, to say the least.

There was also a plainly dressed boy standing next to the wine table, looking at everything around him with a helpless expression. If there was no surprise in the plot, that should be Gu Yanyan, the little white flower.

Click.

The door closed behind Li Chi.

Liang Zhiyu raised the wine glass in his hand and looked him up and down, showing infinite satisfaction. Instead of trying to force Gu Yanyan as in the original plot, he got up, took a few steps forward, and smiled frivolously at Lu Chi.

“Beauty,” he said. “Can we get to know each other?”

…………………………

At the same time.

The neon lights swayed with the rhythm of the music, and the dance floor of FOM was already overcrowded.

That establishment’s full name was Focus On Me Nightclub, a business backed by the Liang family and occupying about five floors in a prime location of City A. Its customers were mainly rich and leisurely second-generation losers, already becoming the leader in the industry in its first year of activity.

Barely ten minutes after Lu Chi finished his strip show, the group of young masters and ladies who came to see him were still immersed in the excitement, particularly noisy.

Liang Jiashu stood a few steps away, next to the elevator entrance, completely oblivious to the pandemonium that was going on in full swing behind him. At nearly 1.87 meters tall, his shadow fell on his feet, surrounding him like a huge black fog. A pair of dark pupils stared at the clean wall, and a very irritable voice came out of his throat:

“Where is everyone?!”
