WCG Chapter 95.2

[Is T Bao's stinky mouth sweet to kiss?] (Part 2)

Jiang Shi was about to say that he didn’t care, but was shut down with Yuan Yang. “You’re already eyeing a few thousand yuan of fans’ donation money. Don’t say you don’t want this endorsement worth millions.”

Jiang Shi had no words.

He did want it.

But none of that was more important than Xie Xu.

Just as he was about to speak, a hand pressed against his palm. Xie Xu spoke up, “So, what you’re saying is, as long as the public opinion about me and Jiang Shi dating is positive, that’s all that matters?”

Yuan Yang nodded.

“Public opinion can be guided.” Xie Xu said, “I can start live streaming. Not only will it generate traffic, but as long as I handle it well, there shouldn’t be a problem.”

Yuan Yang was shocked. “Are you insane? Do you know how ugly it’ll get if your fans really turn against you?”

Xie Xu had been standing at the top for so long that he had no idea how bad things could get.

“I know.” Xie Xu looked at Yuan Yang, his voice calm.

Ever since he got together with Jiang Shi, he had thought through every possible scenario.

That Snowman plushie was a foreshadowing for them.

But Jiang Shi took it down.

Seeing Xie Xu like this, Yuan Yang’s gaze was complicated, tinged with heartache.

To be honest, he really didn’t want to see Xie Xu fall from his pedestal in such a way. It just wasn’t worth it.

But knowing Xie Xu’s nature, there was no way he hadn’t considered all of this already. “Fine, since you’ve thought it through, I won’t stop you. Your livestream should have a positive effect. I’ll get some marketing accounts to help with PR.”

Now that Yuan Yang had relented, not only Xie Xu and Jiang Shi, but everyone else also felt inexplicably relieved.

Who was Yuan Yang? Not just TLG’s coach, but also a gold-tier diplomat. There was no problem he couldn’t handle!

Seeing Yuan Yang start discussing logistics, Jiang Shi interjected, “I can livestream too.”

Jiang Lele chuckled, “T Bao, are you planning to go live just to fight with haters?”

Yuan Yang had thought of this too. “You better not. I’m afraid you won’t be able to control your temper.”

Jiang Shi had some money now, but it wasn’t for paying league fines.

Even after Jiang Shi promised repeatedly that he wouldn’t curse anyone out, Yuan Yang still refused, saying they’d wait and see how things played out.

So, after some discussion, they settled on Xie Xu going live at 10 PM that night—quick and decisive.

Yuan Yang went off to prepare for the stream, leaving the rest to train in the practice room.

Once he left, Jiang Shi slid his chair over to Xie Xu’s side and whispered, “Will this be too much pressure for you? Should I talk to Yang-ge again and take over?”

He was used to being cursed at. He wasn’t afraid.

Xie Xu lowered his gaze, noticing the faint marks on Jiang Shi’s wrist. He rubbed them gently. “How did this happen?”

He remembered Jiang Lele had tied it pretty loosely.

Jiang Shi answered nonchalantly, “I struggled too hard.”

He had almost broken free. If Yuan Yang hadn’t come back, it would’ve been Jiang Lele tied to the chair instead.

On the other side, Jiang Lele was watching the two whispering and holding hands. He covered his face, unable to look, but after a moment, he peeked through his fingers.

Sure enough, now that they were out in the open, they had no shame showing affection in front of their teammates?

Just as he was watching intently, Jiang Shi turned around and shot him a sharp glare.

Damn, this guy was practically burning holes into his back with his stare.

Jiang Lele put on a serious face, coughed, and said, “I’m just worried about the captain’s livestream. No idea what the chat’s gonna look like.”

That successfully redirected Jiang Shi’s attention.

He was worried too, but Xie Xu clearly wasn’t letting him interfere.

At 10 PM, everyone put down their training and braced themselves like they were heading into battle, waiting for Xie Xu to go live.

Luckily, Yuan Yang said he had hired a high-quality team of water army. If anything bad started trending in the chat, they’d drown it out immediately.

Because of Xu’s usual popularity, and the fact that he had posted a streaming announcement beforehand, the stream lagged as soon as it started. When Jiang Shi entered with a small alt account, his screen stayed black for a while.

Expressionless, he stared at the screen, his hands already poised over the keyboard, ready for combat.

But when the lag finally cleared, the chat was flooded with—

[Xu & Time Happy Wedding!]

[Wishing you a hundred years of happiness!]

[Soon to give birth to a son!]

[A house full of children and grandchildren!]

[Blessings as vast as the East Sea!]

Jiang Shi: ?

What the hell?

Not only were there ridiculous blessings, but the chat was filled with fireworks effects, with captions saying—

[Wedding gift for Time’s official spouse.]

Every single viewer had his fan badge displayed, and they weren’t low-level accounts.

Jiang Shi was completely stunned.

Jiang Lele, who was also watching, was laughing uncontrollably. “T Bao, your fans are amazing!”

Even Yuan Yang hadn’t expected the livestream chat to look like this. Instead, he let out a breath of relief. “Xiao Shi, your fans are controlling the narrative. Let’s see how long they can hold out. Keep an eye on it, and let me know if anything goes wrong.”

He had hired 50,000 water army. There was no way they’d lose control of the chat.

Sure enough, Time’s fans were soon met with mockery.

[Where did these monkeys come from? If you wanna put on a show, do it in your own streamer’s chat.]

[Yeah, don’t parade around in Xu’s livestream with someone else’s fan badge. Annoying.]

[Nobody wants to see you acting crazy. Get lost.]

[Seriously, these fans are as shameless as Time.]

[It’s disgusting. Why are you trying to make your presence known here?]

[Besides, Xu is here to clear things up. You understand what “clarify” means, right? Some teammates need to stop using work connections to gain attention.]

[Wasn’t letting him have an FMVP enough? Does he really need to leech off this too?]

Even at this point, some people still refused to believe that Xie Xu and Jiang Shi were actually together.

Jiang Shi saw these messages and sneered, his fingers flying across the keyboard.

But just as he typed a few words, Xie Xu spoke: “It’s not clarification. It’s an official announcement.”

Jiang Shi’s hand, busy furiously typing, was suddenly grabbed and lifted into view of the camera.

“I am with Time. Thank you all for your blessings.”

His voice carried a light chuckle, and Jiang Shi’s heartbeat instantly went haywire. The words he had been preparing to fire back with were suddenly swallowed down.

He turned his head uncomfortably — only to lock eyes with Jiang Lele.

Jiang Lele’s eyes widened. “Damn, you guys have been together for almost a month, and you still blush? T Bao, aren’t you a little too innocent?”

Jiang Shi silently turned his face back and stared at the keyboard, his voice cold. “Mind your business. Watch the chat.”

Xie Xu’s words diminished Jiang Shi’s fighting spirit but supercharged his fans’ morale.

[Why are there still people who dislike Time’s fans? We are all family, don’t be so formal!]

[Everyone is here to drink wedding wine, be friendly.]

[I am Xu’s fan, I am here to watch the fun today and send my sincere blessings, why are you quarreling?]

[No quarrel, no quarrel. Let’s post comments to boost the popularity of this young couple! ]

[I understand the painstaking efforts of Xu’s families. On the behalf of my T Bao, I thank you. I’m so happy to see the number of his fans increasing!]

[Thanks to the help of the in-laws! Heart~]

In terms of sarcasm, if Time’s fans claimed second, only Time dares to claim first.

The two sides started a strange quarrel. Jiang Shi’s fans are indeed strong. Whether Xu or TIme got hit with a nasty comment, they will counterattack immediately. It’s an all-around defense, no cracks in sight.

[What? Is Time eating your food if he’s in love?][mfn]it means: “why are you so mad at Time? He didn’t eat your food (have a negative impact on you) when he’s dating Xu.”[/mfn]

[Let me make it clear, Xu has always been famous for his skills. He’s not a vase who relies on getting fans to get him money. If you like his appearance, it’s normal. I also like my rebellious son’s face, but it’s outrageous to have an inexplicable possessive desire over him.]

[Yes, yes, T Bao has so many fathers besides me. Do you think I’m jealous of them?]

[I welcome you all to debate with me. However, if you dare to attack me personally, don’t blame me for sending a curse back on your DM 🙂 ]

Besides joining in the chat war, Jiang Shi also didn’t forget to interact with Xie Xu.

“What is Time doing?” Xie Xu read aloud a question. “He’s watching the livestream with his alt account.”

[Fck, that “Your Dad is Here” is him, right? I was wondering why there was such a strong fighting power among the sisters.]

[I saw it at a glance. He has come out with this ID more than once.]

The atmosphere in the livestream chat is getting better. The haters were shamefully out-talked, all they can do is spamming similar things, probably a template they can copy and paste.

[Disgusting gays! Get out of the esports circle! ]

[Disqualify TLG from the world competition. Such deviants are not worthy of playing for the country.]

[Disqualify Time from the starting team. He has bad behavior and corrupts the atmosphere of TLG!]

[Time, get out of TLG! ]

—Such curses were so cliché, Jiang Shi even automatically skipped over them.

Xie Xu ignored those kinds of comments. He continued to casually reply to good comments, as if everyone was getting along fine. “I know you still have a lot of questions about me and Time. Go ahead and ask them.”

This is also one of the strategies: changing the subject.

On the other side, Yuan Yang was ready to mobilize the water army he hired, but the contact person told him that he could not enter Xu’s live broadcast room because the water army had reached the upper limit.

Because of software restrictions, there was an invisible limit on the number of water army in a livestream.

Yuan Yang was confused.

However, soon, he knew the answer. The hate comments barely lasted for ten seconds before being swepts away by other comments.

Jiang Shi was still fighting against the haters, and suddenly found that the direction of the comments changed.

[Oh, so it’s a Q&A section now? I won’t be polite, then.]

[Who kissed who first?]

[Does T Bao have to stand on tiptoe to kiss?]

[Did you two… you know? Who’s the top? Can that Little White Hair see the ceiling?]

The thing is, these comments are very orderly, and each one dominates the screen for at least one minute. There’s no way these questions are not organized and premeditated.

Yuan Yang was in a complicated mood after seeing all this. He knew why his water army couldn’t get in.

How many fans of Time had bought? They were just seeking benefits for themselves!

The comments kept scrolling, which was unbearable to watch. Jiang Shi frantically asked people to shut up, but no one paid any attention to him.

In the end, the comments that dominated the screen is:

[Is T Bao’s stinky mouth sweet to kiss?]
