A sudden chill swept through his lower body. Bai Heting turned his head toward the man beside the bed, his eyes widening in pure shock, “You dare…”
Luo Congye didn’t reply. He ripped the pants completely off him and tossed them carelessly aside.
From this angle, Bai Heting couldn’t see his face, but he could feel a rational yet ruthless sense of oppression radiating from the pheromones.
He pressed his legs together in an unnatural motion and demanded sharply, “Do you even know what you’re doing?”
Luo Congye, however, directly lifted his leg to get onto the bed before kneeling over his body as he answered with a flat expression, “Breaking the law.”
He unbuckled his leather belt with his left hand in a slow, deliberate manner while reciting the legal statute to Bai Heting from memory, “Using violent means to force sexual relations with an unmarked Omega requires purchasing an indulgence from the Church, followed by marrying that Omega.”
Bai Heting arched his back to get up, only to be pressed right back down by his right hand.
“I almost forgot that you’re a special case.” Unbuttoning his trousers, he continued, “If a commoner rapes a noble, it carries the death penalty.”
Bai Heting reached back with his left hand to push him away, but Luo Congye caught his hand and pinned it backward against his spine.
“The execution tool has already been given to you.” He drew another dagger from his boot sleeve and dropped it directly in front of Bai Heting’s face. “If one blade isn’t enough, I’ll give you another.”
Bai Heting suddenly ceased his struggles.
“Bai Heting.” For the first time in his life, Luo Congye spoke that name aloud; once, and also the last time.
He leaned down close to the sensitive gland at the back of the Omega’s neck, forcing those two long legs apart with his knee, and lowered his voice, “The dog you raised is dead.”
Legend had it that at the dawn of humanity, there was no distinction between Alpha and Omega.
God granted Alphas a more powerful physique and, in turn, gave Omegas a body better suited for reproduction.
As the price they paid, the so-called elite humans who differentiated into Alphas and Omegas would be tormented by desire for their entire lives, forced to bow and submit before the reproductive instinct bestowed by God.
Even Bai Heting, who had once struck terror into the hearts of countless people, was no exception.
The tequila pheromone surged in rapidly. A suppressed groan was forced out from Bai Heting’s throat as his body went limp, collapsing back onto the bed.
Luo Congye curled the tip of his tongue, slowly licking away the silver fir-scented blood from his canines.
The satisfaction of his innate, intense possessiveness put the Alpha in a pleasant mood. He reassuringly licked the wound he had just bitten raw, then moved to lick the Omega’s completely flushed ear before asking softly, “Does it hurt?”
Of course, it was impossible for Bai Heting to answer him, and he hadn’t expected a reply anyway. Only when the person beneath him stopped trembling did he grip that narrow waist and begin his movements.
……
Luo Congye knew all too well how to please this body; before long, Bai Heting was crying out amid ragged gasps with his legs clamping tightly around the Alpha’s waist.
He stopped deep inside, thrusting with small movements a few times, before spreading the fluid the Omega had released across that firm lower abdomen.
He had barely rubbed it in when his movements came to a halt.
There was a scar on Bai Heting’s body that he hadn’t seen before.
He ran his fingers along the scar from end to end; it was roughly twenty centimeters long, slanting across the abdomen like a gash.
“How were you injured?”
Bai Heting was still lingering in the afterglow of pleasure, and it took him a moment for his gaze to regain focus. He didn’t answer, only pushing away Luo Congye’s hand that was resting on him.
Since he didn’t answer, Luo Congye didn’t press further either.
He brushed aside Bai Heting’s sweat-damp bangs, looked into his eyes, and asked, “Who was buried… in that funeral Bai Jiashu held?”
Bai Heting still remained silent.
The wound on Luo Congye’s left shoulder hadn’t fully stopped bleeding, staining more than half of his sleeve. Bai Heting reached out, sliding his hand up from the taut lower abdomen and tracing along the well-defined lines of his abdominal muscles all the way upward as he rasped, “Take it off.”
Luo Congye’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled it upward, exposing the Alpha’s young, solid physique to the dim night.
Bai Heting traced those old scars one by one, some deep and some shallow.
He recognized the vast majority of them.
He had cut them himself.
His slender fingers slid along the violently heaving pectoral muscles up to the left shoulder. Bai Heting pressed his palm against the fresh wound there, lingering for a moment, before continuing upward and finally cupping Luo Congye’s handsome profile with his blood-stained hand.
His expression was serious to the point of being almost freezing, and Luo Congye pinned his hand down.
Suddenly, Bai Heting hooked his other arm around the Alpha’s neck, and taking advantage of the moment Luo Congye lost focus, twisted his body and flipped him over, pinning him down onto the bed.
*
The Alpha’s skin in a state of extreme arousal was burning hot, making the tip of the blade pressed against his throat feel even more ice-cold.
Bai Heting pressed his right knee against Luo Congye’s chest while his left hand locked around his neck in a death grip while looking down at him from above. “Did I not say that if you ever dared to bite me, I would pry out every single one of your dog teeth?”
A forced mark would thoroughly infuriate Bai Heting; Luo Congye had already anticipated this outcome before ripping off his pants.
“You did say that.” He raised his head slightly, completely exposing his vital point. Extending his left hand, he rested it on Bai Heting’s sweat-drenched waist, tracing slowly inch by inch down along his waistline, his lips curling into an indifferent smile. “But I’ve already endured much worse than this. Do you think I’d be afraid of it?”
The thin blade left a faint red line against the Alpha’s neck. Bai Heting said coldly, “Tomorrow morning, take your people and go back to wherever you came from.”
Luo Congye’s gaze fell back to Bai Heting’s hand.
The dagger in his hand was the exact same one he had just tossed onto the bed, a mere twenty centimeters long, its ebony handle engraved with intricate flame patterns.
“Looking at it now, it really is quite crude.” He traced all the way from Bai Heting’s buttocks down to his thigh, speaking casually. “My craftsmanship has improved a lot now. I’ll make you a new one in a few days.”
Bai Heting froze for a split second. Seizing the moment, Luo Congye grabbed the back of his knee and pulled sharply to the side; Bai Heting lost his balance and fell straight down, ending up seated on top of him.
The blade scraped across his skin, leaving yet another fresh wound on that scar-riddled body.
Bai Heting closed his eyes for a brief moment.
“Are you still prying them out?” Luo Congye pinched the tip of the blade with two fingers, moving this hazardous item a bit to the side as he offered Bai Heting a kind reminder, “If not, I’m going to use it.”
Having said that, before the other party could even react, Luo Congye propped his body up with his right elbow and pressed a kiss against his chest.
The dagger slipped from between his fingers. Bai Heting couldn’t help but let out a soft gasp before reaching up to cup the back of the Alpha’s head.
“My pheromones are inside your body.” Luo Congye tilted his face up to look at his half-closed eyes, speaking softly, “It wants me.”
Bai Heting’s eyelashes trembled slightly.
Luo Congye looked at that small mole beneath his left eye.
That teardrop-shaped mole seemed almost misplaced on him, as though it had been born for the wrong person; fated, of all things, to belong to a cold-hearted master.
The rims of those eyes hadn’t even flushed red once.
He was taken home by Bai Heting at six years old, spent every ounce of his wits to sneak into the guard corps at sixteen, held this person in his arms at nineteen, and nearly lost his life at twenty.
He had always known that Bai Heting was a moon he could never pluck from the sky.
However, saying he didn’t harbor any hatred would be a lie.
“I know I’m not worthy.” Luo Congye lowered his head, letting out a self-deprecating laugh. “And I know you won’t be controlled by instinct either, you’ve already proven that to me.”
Bai Heting slowly opened his eyes.
Luo Congye didn’t speak any further. Bai Heting couldn’t see his expression; he could only see the thick crown of his hair, his broad, blood-stained shoulders, and his slightly hunched back.
The only sound left in the room was the heavy curtain of rain continuously battering against the windows.
In an instant, the silver fir pheromone erupted completely out of control. Bai Heting grabbed Luo Congye’s hair, pulling it backward; and leaned down to seal his mouth in a kiss.
Luo Congye froze for a few seconds before his breathing suddenly grew incredibly heavy. He sucked on the tongue that was wantonly invading his mouth with his hands clamping around Bai Heting’s waist to press him down hard. Bai Heting furrowed his brows with a muffled groan, threading his fingers into the roots of the Alpha’s hair to kiss him even deeper, only to be pinned by the back of his head and pushed back down onto the bed.
The burning-hot body covered him once more.
The young Alpha thrust brutally below, yet the murmurs pressed against his ear were incredibly tender.
“General…”
A raging wildfire burned all semblance of sanity to ashes, and Bai Heting could no longer formulate a response.
He was only capable of groaning now.
