逆转 (Reverse) – 莲鹤夫人

Chapter 10

The omega quickly pulled the door open, as time was almost up. As soon as he came out, the alpha grabbed him in his arms, his grip so strong it hurt, and he was crying uncontrollably.

“Wife! Waah… w-wife…” As he struggled to choke out his words, the alpha let out a piercing cry and said, “Wh-what have you been doing…?”

The omega finally got his hands free and touched the alpha’s wet, pitifully beautiful face. He was half annoyed and half pleased, “Weren’t you just watching me? Stay calm, alright? Reward kiss, okay?”

The alpha quickly swallowed back his sobs, groaned, and mumbled, “O-okay…”

The omega put his arms around the alpha’s neck and tilted his head down. The man’s lips were wet and salty from tears, but the omega didn’t care. He kissed him firmly, then asked, “Is that okay?”

“N-no… not okay…” the alpha spoke in a low voice, “Mm, not okay…”

The omega leaned in for an awkward but tender kiss, arched his gorgeous brows, and grinned. It was as if a spark shot through their connection as his hands touched the alpha’s face and their lips locked onto the lower one. The alpha’s back tingled, and a small, helpless “mm” came from his nostrils. His chest felt like it was going to burst under the pressure of his mouth and teeth hitting his warm skin.

After a while, they parted ways. The alpha blinked, his eyes full of tears. He still looked shocked as he stared blankly at his omega.

Their intertwined pheromones were so intense that they nearly set the house on fire, and the omega’s face turned red and his throat constricted. Reassuringly, he asked, “Are you still not okay?”

After staring at him with quivering lips, the alpha finally let out a sharp growl.

“Wife, wife… wife!” the omega was caught by surprise and confused by his heartbreaking cries while he called out, “Waahh… w-wife! I… I…”

“What’s the problem this time?” the omega asked, neither crying with him nor laughing at him, just desperately looking for an answer, “Stop crying. Don’t you want another kiss?”

The alpha was crying too much to talk. Because of this, the omega was never able to determine what set it off. Setting aside that minor tantrum, the alpha was considerably more submissive in following the plan sheet, though he was still unable to achieve what the specialists had hoped. Still, the omega was very surprised.

The third rut finally ended in a state of chaos and frenzy.

The alpha was in bed on the seventh morning. His face got dark as soon as he opened his eyes.

All the details from last night were vivid in his mind: the omega had lulled him to sleep by reading him a story and tricking him into going to bed… far too embarrassing.

He sat up, his head throbbing as he pressed his temple. He had to give himself time to adjust after each rut period so he could recall the six days with clarity.

Flashbacks crashed into the alpha’s head like a tidal wave. He pressed the bridge of his nose and was stone-cold quiet for a very long time.

The omega had already left; the space next to him held only a faint, cold sensation. The alpha, who may still be feeling the effects of the rut, stood up and got dressed after taking a deep breath to hide a trace of annoyance. After washing, he called his wife. Looking at the omega’s lowered, submissive face, he asked calmly, “Nothing worked, did it?”

There was nothing the omega could hide. The rut-free alpha had regained his dominating demeanor, reverting to the dominant leader he had always been. The only thing the omega could say was, “Yes… you… don’t seem to respond well to this plan.”

The alpha simply nodded and looked at him quietly, “I see. You are free to go.”

The omega was surprised, but he waited a moment before asking the long-awaited question.

Under his breath, he whispered, “Sir, may I ask…?”

“Go ahead.” the alpha said as his pen paused over the paper.

“May I ask?” The omega cautiously spoke, “The specialists told me once about an omega who tried to convince his husband into signing a divorce paper when he was in rut. Do you know… what happened to him?”

Looking at the omega with his dark, deep eyes for a moment, the alpha raised an eyebrow and asked, “Why are you asking this?”

“Because they never told me the outcome,” the omega explained, “I was curious.”

After giving it some thought, the alpha pulled a new report from beneath the desk and tossed it into the omega’s hands, “See for yourself.”

The omega rushed to catch it and opened it. There was just one news article, which was marked with a red line. Clearly confused, he muttered, “A male omega was bitten on the leg and abdominal area by a large dog while walking near home the night before… The injuries were severe. Residents are advised to be careful outside… Haven’t I seen this before? But… how is this connected to the topic of divorce?”

His cheeks flushed. In a moment of silence, he shut his mouth tightly.

“Are you getting it now?” With a subtle grin, the alpha seemed to be making fun of something—was it perhaps the omega or the madness of a partner driven insane by abandonment, like an untamed beast? “That’s what happened. Suppressed and cleaned up news. Did it satisfy your curiosity?”

The omega’s forehead was already drenched in sweat.

The alpha grabbed for his pen as he saw his wife go, but the ink had hung in the air for too long, causing his strokes to be rough. The sparkling pen was thrown away, and he picked up another one.

It’s too slow. This progress…

It was time to try something new.
